This
place
was
on
my
list
of
the
best
restaurants
in
Chicago
that
I
wanted
to
visit,
as
the
reviews
on
Google
and
Yelp
were
impressive,
and
I
expected
to
have
the
best
restaurant
experience.
Let's
talk
about
it
in
detail.
Arrival:
We
arrived
at
the
time
of
our
reservation
(Thu
8.15pm).
It's
stated
that
the
grace
period
is
15
minutes
or
you
lose
your
table.
Our
wait
time
was
more
than
that!!!
At
least
we
got
a
nice
corner
table.
Atmosphere:
excellent
vibe
inside
the
place,
very
classy,
good-looking
people,
welcoming
and
well-dressed
staff.
Food:
The
menu
looks
impressive.
The
seafood
is
definitely
a
star
of
the
restaurant,
and
I
highly
recommend
ordering
the
Whale
(the
seafood
tower)
and
Belle
Du
Jour
oysters.
The
stone
crab
that
we
had
previously
was
exceptional.
The
Chillean
sea
bass
with
miso
glaze
was
creamy,
full
of
flavor,
and
super
tender.
Bone-in
ribeye
signature
prime
steak
was
cooked
to
order
but
lacked
flavor.
It's
not
melt
in
your
mouth
tender
as
stated
in
the
menu.
It
was
just
okay.
Sides:
The
fried
asparagus
was
delicious,
but
Jennie's
mashed
potatoes
were
very
dry
and
came
room
temperature.
Service:
We
got
Denise
as
our
server.
She
seemed
to
be
in
quite
a
rush
to
get
our
table
served
and
go
home.
We
were
there
for
a
birthday,
but
she
never
asked
if
there
was
any
special
occasion.
She
knew
the
menu
but
spoke
extremely
fast,
so
it
was
difficult
to
understand
her
description
of
the
food,
and
we
felt
very
rushed
to
order.
At
the
same
time,
she
never
asked
about
food
allergies.
We
expected
to
have
relaxed
dinner,
but
as
mentioned
before,
we
felt
very
rushed.
After
the
bill
was
paid,
she
had
her
back
to
us,
and
no
thank
you
or
goodbye
when
we
headed
out.
Verdict:
highly
recommended
the
seafood.
The
server
definitely
lacked
professionalism
expected
for
this
caliber
restaurant.
