Extraordinary disappointed! I came here on 3/26/2022, first day of Chicago restaurant week. I had high expectation from the reviews from previous years. Please the pictures for what I had. 1. A quarter non-chop Iceberg lettuce with so-called grilled blue cheese, and bacon powder. 2. A burnt well-done bone-in strip which so-called "18oz" NY strip and was asked for "medium rare". 3. A bite-size chocolate which so-called a slice of chocolate cake. 4. A cold brulee. All dishes were served with code plate, very sloppy. I am very regretting now after spent over $150 for 2.

The Capital Grill was out of this world. Our server Diego couldn't have done enough to make sure we had the best time while dining with them. From the moment we sat down Diego couldn't do enough. We never had to ask for a drink, he gave us excellent recommendations on the food and kept us informed of timings. The atmosphere was wonderful. We felt very comfortable and could've sat there all night. The food was phenomenal. One of the best steaks I've ever had and well worth the money. Please make sure you visit when you're in Boston and I hope you manage to get Diego as a server as you will be able to experience how amazing he is for yourself

As expected great service, very nice location, the surprise was the affordable options they have for lunch. I had sirloin w/ chimichuri and fries on the side, it was a perfect amount of food and well done. Recommend this for sure.

The dry aged steak is fabulous 🤤 and the oysters are fresh and juicy. Definitely a fine dining restaurant I will pay a visit for the second time.

It was a delicious dinner where the service was top notch. They had great recommendations and were always refilling water. The steak was dry aged and delicious and the sea bass was flavorful also

Restaurant Week menu tasting 10 oz Filet cooked to Perfection! With the right amount of Flavor with Char and also done between rare and medium rare. Loved it. Lobster bisque was a tad creamy for me but still good. Cheesecake was good too. Highly recommend.

The service over exceeded my expectations to say the least! If you are truly looking a high end upper echelon restaurant well this will satisfy you. I was amazed by the salmon , the way it was prepared with almonds & onions , was a new taste for me. Every dish & desert is prepared with an exquisite presentation that is quite mouth watering. Love it here lol.

This place is just amazing. The service is perfect, they have the most genuine hospitality I have come across. They are always ready to serve your needs before you even have a change to ask. The steak was just as amazing as the service. The food was hot, fresh and it arrived in no time. My wife and I enjoyed our steak and wine. It was our anniversary and we let them know of this and they did amazing job showing the love. We were treated to an amazing desert and champagne for the occasion. Would definitely come back again. Rebecca was our waiter and she has one of the best smiles and customer service. Please ask for her and enjoy an amazing dinner at Capital Grille.

Such a nice place for dinner. Our waiter Tony was an absolute delight, so very kind and attentive, as was the rest of the staff. Lovely atmosphere as well and the food was great. I had the salmon and heirloom tomatoes and everything was cooked perfectly, will definitely be back and recommend to anyone wanting a great dinner with even better service!

I invited my best friend for her birthday to Chicago and we were treated so wonderful! You know how you make reservations, and they ask you if it’s a special occasion? Most places don’t do anything with that information, but this restaurant DID! They put birthday confetti on the table, and gave her a sealed birthday card from the restaurant! She really thought it was my idea, that I asked them to. I said no, this is from them, for you because I said the occasion was a birthday online. Never mind the service was 5 plus stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, but the food was phenomenal! We both love ribeye, and these were the best cuts I ever had in my life! I’ll be coming back for another visit. We ordered all the potato options for the sides, for the table. Parmesan Truffle Fries, Smashed potatoes, and Au Gratin potatoes! So so so, good!! I do think they could improve on the bread basket, something like sourdough or, Italian bread. But other than that, it was great. This was the St.Clair location.

I tend to avoid leaving reviews because I’m lazy, however my experience last night at the CG was absolutely phenomenal. Marie was our server and was just outstanding the entire time. As a member of the service industry myself, I am shamefully picky. Yet our lovely server dealt with me in the sweetest and most professional attitude I’ve experienced in a long time. Rigo From the kitchen delivered some of the finest deserts I’ve had in a long while. Additionally, he visited our table personally which added such an amazing personal touch to our dining experience. The management is also very kind and personable. 10/10. Can’t believe I haven’t been back sooner.

Absolutely fantastic! Beautiful inside. The drinks were spot on. Ordered the bone in filet medium rare. Melted in my mouth, excellent flavor from the bone. You have to get the scalloped potatoes! The best I have ever had, the potatoes are shaved thin and baked perfectly!

First time at this location and was not disappointed: We came for the Lobster Mac and stayed for MIKE. Drinks are amazing; Stoli Doli is my favorite but the bartender, Jasmine, also made a fire margarita. Ribeyes were grand. Mike recommended this fantastic topping with prosciutto and it was EXCELLENT. He also recommended the margarita, and we had great conversation throughout the evening. The service and staff across the board were wonderful to us! Capital Grille made our birthday celebration special with a handwritten card and confetti on the table. The cheesecake was divine.

An amazing, as always experience. Devon, our server was excellent as was our meal. We were there for our anniversary and they made us feel very special and it was greatly appreciated. The tenderloin and lobster and the seared Tuna were outstanding choices.

Amazing 👏🏽! First time here and everything was exquisite. My husband and I were celebrating our 3rd year wedding anniversary and we were greeted with complementary champagne and picture. The lobster mac and cheese is a must try. Ny strip was so juicy my husband had the lambchops which were delicious. We had impeccable service by our server Diego and his helper, Angel. When making your reservation ask for Diego to be your server you wont be disappointed. First time here definitely not the last and my new favorite place!

AMAZING EXPERIENCE. Service was friendly and attentive. Food was superb. My filet mignon was so tender I could cut it with a spoon. When I made our reservation, I told them we were celebrating, they gifted us with the most delicious dessert that had to come straight from heaven itself. This was our first experience, and it will definitely not be our last.

Took customers for dinner. Two of us had steak and lobster it was excellent. The spicy calamari appetizer was spot on. Michael or waiter took very good care of us. The only draw back as most downtown Chicago restaraunts are the tables are on top of each other.

From the moment we walked in our server Tony and every one else that serviced our table was simply awesome.. I hope that the Owner knows what a great crew he has…Thank you so very much for making this such a wonderful experience for us two German girls!!

Went here to days ago, very unique on the inside and outside. Some similarities from the one in Miami. But overall customer service was great, food was excellent. I have bought a lamb chops with lobster Mac and cheese on the side, and a Crème brûlée cheesecake. My friend ordered a Steak with Mashing potatoes on the side. The mashed potatoes was so smooth, which done hand made. Overall everything was good. Totally recommend coming here if you are on vacation or want to try something new.

If I could give 10 stars I would! This place is nothing short of amazing! My husband and I went here from Louisiana for our 6th year wedding anniversary on February 13th and staff treated us like royalty! I love Diego he is the best!!!! As soon as we were seated Diego took us a picture and came back with it in a frame! I had tears in my eyes! Then we were greeted with an Anniversary card in an envelope and a red rose for me! Also complimentary champagne! I mean truly AMAZING! The food was just omgggg best bone in ribeyes steak EVER!!! Lobster Mac and cheese was also amazing wow! Can’t wait to go back thank you Diego for making our day special

Had a luxurious time at the capital grille for a work event!! The food was DELICIOUS and the cocktails selection was very diverse. Highly recommend the lamb chops. Of the food was good, but these stood out to me. They were so tender and juicy they did not need any sauce. We were taken care of VERY well by Rachel. PAY RACHEL MORE! Other superstars included Devon, Jasmine, and Joe. The staff was so friendly and attentive, I think at least different 3 people asked me for my drink order in the first 5 minutes of sitting down. So sweet. This event was not on my dime and I easily had $300 in food/drink on my own. I was being greedy. 💀 I would recommend for a nicer celebratory dinner.

Excellent service and extensive wine list. One of the fairest priced dry aged strip steak I have found in downtown. Will absolutely be coming back next time I’m in town.

Honesty the best meal in my entire life 💕 It was filet mignon and pommes frites with truffle😋 The meat was tender and melted in my mouth, the potatoes were rich in flavor and taste, buttery delicious.

I enjoyed a nice lunch last year on my birthday and it was amazing. They had my table decorated with a birthday card, confetti and even a complimentary dessert. I enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. I wish I could remember my waiter's name but he was amazing. Great experience!!

Calamari was pretty good. A bit too much peppers for my liking though. The filet mignon was tender but flavourless. The lamb was pretty good. Mashed potatoes were delicious. Asparagus was bland and burnt. I personally am not willing to spend $200+ again to eat here.

I went here for a birthday dinner with friends. The food, service, and atmosphere were great. I also received a birthday card and a dessert from the restaurant. They made me feel really special throughout the dinner. I definitely highly recommend this place!

Went here on a date and it was the best steak and appetizers I’ve ever had! The desert was good. The waiter was also really nice and attentive. I loved being seated next to the kitchen The inside was clean, nice and welcoming. It is expensive but the quality is astounding. Highly recommend

Service was impeccable, atmosphere is a welcoming fine dining vibe. The drinks and appetizers were A+. The crab and lobster cakes were excellent all meat and no filler also the lobster bisque was delicious. The lobster mac and cheese is too salty and average tasting. The steaks and veal were excellent, however the entire table added lobster tails to their meals and all of them were extremely overcooked don't waist your money or calories!

Shared a great experience with my partner! Beyond expectations! Staff was amazing! Food was honestly the best I ever had even if my steak was a Lil over cooked. It honestly didn't change how delicious it was. A repeat customer is definitely made.

Celebrating me, I came here for the perfect lunch. Where else has such a delectable menu? I started with a rich and flavorful cup of lobster bisque. It was an intensely delicious flavor, 100% on point. Worth every penny. Followed it with a perfectly cooked ribeye with a side of asparagus. Insane. Large, tender, juicy. The asparagus was cooked to the perfect presentation. Snaps when cut, but still that incredible tender you only dream about. I could not finish it, or maybe I wanted to actually bring it home for later. Don't judge me. It was delish. I finished my "celebrating me" day off with their most delicious "Classic Crème Brûlée." What can I say? Even though I'm doing my best to avoid sugars, I couldn't resist & capped off my meal with dessert. (Excuse the bite taken from the Crème Brûlée...I forgot to snap the photo before I dug in excitedly.) My waiter was Edgar. He was most attentive and remembered my food allergies. (I usually bring them listed on a piece of paper to make it easier, but I forgot it at home. My allergies are no joke, sadly.) I never felt in danger. He even came to tell me that the truffle fries I had ordered had soy in the sauce used. Easy switch to asparagus. Healthier too, clearly. The atmosphere is great for one, couples, dates. Lunchtime was quite busy, which I'm glad about. This is an easy-to-miss location on Northwestern Medicine campus area. I'm so happy it's part of my neighborhood. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10 stars out of 5...it was that good!!

Was able to get reservations for 4 on a Saturday for that same night. There was a variety of bread for the table. Food took about 30 minutes to prepare. We ordered steak, lamb chops, lobster Mac, asparagus and a Mediterranean tray. The lobster Mac stole the show! You can split the check by the order or equally.

Amazing service and the food was spectacular. Had the wine sampler and vegetable pasta for me as I am vegetarian and even if it wasn't on the menu. My friend and her mom had the wedge salad and dry aged steak medium rare. And for dessert topped it off with a creme brulee.

Ordered the bone-in-ribeye delicious! Perfectly prepared. Melt right in your mouth. My husband had the lamb rib chops, also a great choice. I wasn't impressed with the Lobster mac n cheese. However the creamed spinach left us wanting more. One of our bus boys was a bit rude but the manager walking around asked how we were and immediately stepped in. She was great. I most definitely recommend.

The food was absolutely amazing. The staff was so kind and friendly. I was so impressed with the interior of the restaurant. Our waiter was super nice to us. I'm definitely going to bring my son back here for dinner.
