This is a tiny shop but doesn’t mean they don’t much to offer. You can get dinner and dessert all in one place. I also really liked the aesthetic of the shop and the cool neon lights inside. We had ordered it to-go and it smelled so good that I couldn’t wait to go home to start eating! I could not decide what to order so I asked for the most popular item. I ended up getting the Original Chicken Sandwich with (extra) spice and had the choice to have it between a glazed donut or on a brioche. The brioche has a hint of sweetness and it was soft. Although it was not spicy for me since I eat a lot of spice, I still appreciated the spiciness on the sandwich. Chicken was crunchy on the outside and slightly dry on the inside but I’m going to let that slide because it’s white meat. We also ordered a CBR sandwich. I did not expect the bacon to be sweet but it was still very delicious. The fries became limp by the time we got home.

Love this place! My personal favorite is the chocolate frosted old fashioned. They have Coke products and also have Splenda packets. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Fast and friendly service. They have vegan donuts.

Ordered spicy chicken tenders and old fashioned chocolate donut 🍩 😋 The chicken was really fresh, tender and spicy. Donut had perfect amount of chocolate and donut. My taste buds were really enjoying themselves. You should definitely stop here for a quick sandwich or donut😊

I was in Chicago for the weekend and was told, “if you like Chicken and Waffles, but want something light, go to Do-Rite!” I knew that this day in particular I was going to be eating a lot: taco festival, Al’s Beef, Chinatown, followed by some amazing hot dogs…I knew I had to pace myself! Upon walking in around 10:30 AM on a Saturday, the shop was filled to the max; despite that it moved quick– we were in line for all of five minutes, maybe even less. I ordered a “spicy original” on a glazed donut. It was great! The only complaint was the glazed donut made the sandwich fall apart easily, but that doesn’t bother me. The sweet nor the spicy/savory were too dominant, it was as if it perfectly complemented the other. My Aunt got a Cinnamon Crunch Old Fashioned, and she really enjoyed it too.

Do-Rite Donuts and Chicken is a place you need to try. The Donuts are fresh and delicious. Definitely some of the best I've eaten. Everything is good but the Chicken Sandwich is Absolutely Amazing. When you're waiting for your food be sure to read the articles and reviews on the walls! Wonderful people making incredible food!

This place was had decent food and decent service. The only drawback is it is kind of tight quarters in there, with the fact that it can get busy. But if you are a donut, breakfast sandwich or chicken sandwich fan, you might want to check it out anyway? I hear great things about their donuts and the prices are not too bad! It’s a unique place for sure, and has a small outdoor patio as well.

Delicious donuts, great service! This location is quite small, but has plenty of outdoor seating. I tried the Cinnamon and Chocolate Frosted Old Fashioned donuts and they were really really good. If you like donuts, you must check this spot out!

I love this donut place! Their donuts are soft and fluffy and a lot bigger than any other donuts. My personal favorite is the maple bacon donut. The Boston cream is usually pretty good too but this one I got didn't have a lot of filling as you can see in the picture. Gotta come early or the popular flavors will be gone by noon

what a cute &nostalgic donut&chicken sandwich shop! definitely one of the best fried chicken sandwiches!! the plain coffee is a bit on the acidic side, purely a personal preference, so if you’re like me who prefers our coffee more chocolatey and smooth, try one of their lattes. not usually a big sweet person but I took a bite of my partner’s donut and it was hit the spot.

My friend & I got 6 different donuts. Ranked from best to just ok: 1: cream cheese danish (would eat this one everyday for the rest of our lives) 2. Chocolate glazed (unassuming but unexpectedly amazing) 3. Tie between buttermilk old fashioned & cinnamon old fashioned. Both were delightful. 4. Original glazed, not much to write home about. 5. Pistachio lemon cake donut not great flavor at all, kinda blah Overall we will for sure be back!

This is our favorite donut spot, not just in Chicago, but the entire Midwest. This particular location is great with the outdoor seating right across from the hustle and bustle of the hospital. All of the donuts are great, reasonably priced, and large. The Dark Matter coffee is also great. The best donuts I’ve had to date include their Boston creme, cinnamon crunch, old fashioned, and apple fritter (they call it a Michigan fritter). My wife loves their maple bacon and their coconut donut. When we are in the city, we will normally stop here every morning. It’s an easy walk from River North where we stay.

Holy Moses. I’m visiting Chicago and found out this place had gluten-free donuts. I am amazed. Astonished. Dumbfounded. I have never had a gluten-free doughnut this good. This rivals the best donuts that aren’t gluten-free. If I could, I would order an entire box to take home. No weird texture, nothing. You would never know this is a gluten-free donut. I could move to Chicago for this donut.

Disappointing. So in my mind an opinion always starts with an expectation and the product or service either delivers, doesn't, or exceeds. My expectations on Do-Rite Donuts was based on the photos on their website and description. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and added a piece of chicken. Based on their website photo's I was really looking forward to a tasty piece of crispy fried chicken. What I received was a decent sized chicken breast that was dry and seemed nuked. Nothing crispy about it. The eggs on the breakfast sandwich I have no idea how they were prepared....I'm not trying to be mean but the quality of a gas station breakfast sandwich. Just not what I expected.

Have to get the apple fritter when it’s hot & fresh! (They sell out quickly, so get there early if that’s what you’re looking for!) It has a slight crisp when biting through the glaze. Their donut breakfast sandwich is equivalent to an entire day’s caloric intake but worth it if you’re adventurous, glutinous & hungry! The $1 coffee with purchase is clutch. My other favs are their red velvet & coconut. I’ve tried all versions of their coffee & all are good.

Do-rite’s was excellent! We went for a quick donut, but ended up getting a Mr. Piggy sandwich and fries too. Everything was seriously so good. We had Boston crème and a raspberry bullseye. So good. I had a Nutella latte too, which was sweet and delicious. This location is small but has some outdoor seating on a covered patio area.

Spicy chicken is better than the non-spicy. Would definitely come here again. Healthy portions & quick. Fries are huge portion and tasty for the price.

Fantastic spot for breakfast! First off the coffee was delicious. I went with the blueberry cake donut and it was so soft and flaky I can only imagine all the donuts are done rite. I also had a breakfast sandwich was wonderful as well. It’s all nooked away in the bustling city

Must visit. The donuts were so good. They got my order wrong but that’s okay it was immediately corrected. Breakfast sandwiches with glazed donuts were surprisingly very tasteful. Inside the place is so small so I wouldn’t recommend eating inside. There are around small tables outside where you can enjoy your donuts.

These donuts are 100% every single time. We stop here every time we come to Chicago. We always go to the loction a block off Michigan Ave. I love the donuts, coffee, and the sandwiches. All are delicious.

Amazing chicken. Get the breakfast sandwich on a glazed donut. You wo t be disappointed. Gluten free donuts are fried in their own fryer-- so 100% gluten free!

Small place in downtown Chicago. The inside is pretty small but there’s tables inside and outside. Parking is challenging like any downtown area. We ordered a lemonade, a spicy chicken sandwich, and French fries which were all really good (5/5). They’re weren’t too greasy like other places I’ve had so that was a plus. We also got half a dozen of donuts. We went around 12:30pm on a Thursday and they still had a good amount of donuts left (except the pistachio lemon Meyer one). We got two of the old fashioned original, old fashioned chocolate, old fashioned pumpkin spice, pumpkin spice cake, and raspberry. All the old fashioned donuts were amazing (5/5). Haven’t tried the other ones yet. I also love the box the donuts come in, very sturdy (like a pizza box) and perfect for traveling. I’ll definitely be coming back if I’m ever in Chicago again.

My first time to this place was Sunday 09/25 at around 10am. I chose this place because I love donuts and it was only a 5 minute walk from my hotel downtown. Upon entering the cramped interior I was greeted by a kind woman that handled my expensive online order quickly. 1 original chicken sandwich (Bland) 1 spicy chicken sandwich with avocado (Not spicy at all, flavorless and an extra $2 for 2 Thin slivers of avocado) 1 large coffee and 5 (Mediocre) donuts for $44. Nothing was worth the money. I truly feel like do-rite, Did-Wrong. How they have 4.7 stars is beyond my understanding but I won't be back. That's for sure. Please don't make the same mistake I did. Choose better.

Good donuts and chicken sandwich. Service is a bit slow. Would've preferred less sauce on the sandwich and the donuts to be less sweet but still good overall.

My gluten free donut was so incredibly good!!! I loved it, I recently started doing gluten free due to a lot of intestinal issues and love that I found this option. I also ordered a Vera Cruz breakfast sandwich with no cheese and ate the egg and veggies off of the bread also really good. They don’t have lattes that are dairy free but do have oat milk or almond milk to add to your coffee.
