I found this place trying to get back to the Southside during the Chicago marathon. The detour sent me right pass this delightful little spot so I stopped to try it and I'm glad I did. I don't even like French toast traditionally, but that creme brulee french toast is incredible and the bacon are legit adult slices. The services is also topnotch, attentive but not hovering and the owner (who 3leveb sang a couple of tunes at gospel brunch) greeted each table. Would definitely go back to see what dinner is like.

Sweet potato soup was delicious! The burger was cooked to my desire and was delicious! Chicken sandwich was tasty but very tough to bite.

A nice hidden gem in Bridgeport! The service was great. Staff were genuine and attentive to our needs. The food was satisfying and good quality. Their creme brûlée was to die for! I can see why it’s award winning! Will return! The owner was such a kind soul. He makes the polo inn:)

The family chose this place for the Gospel Brunch on Fathers Day. We loved the owner singing and working the room. Service was great. My 3 stars goes towards the food. Three of us ordered the Bacon Bun sandwich. It looked as if it sat under the heat lamp for a long time. Another 3 ordered the steak and eggs. All 3 steaks were ordered either med or med rare and came out well done. No one had their eggs cooked correctly. My brother ordered pancakes and they were cold that the butter didn't even melt on them. Our day wasn't ruined but the food did not meet our expectations.

Was lucky enough to find this place and dine in awhile ago and I still daydream about how great my meal was. If I should ever find myself on death row and they ask what I want for my final meal I'll request the meat loaf from the Polo Inn.

I've been going to Polo for ten years and it has been consistently delicious the entire time. I've had several birthday parties here and other events. The owner Dave and his staff are accommodating and courteous. Here's what you do. Go on Sunday for brunch. Have a mimosa and enjoy the show. Get the Creme Brulee French Toast and the Eggs Benedict - they'll change your life. Then, you'll know what I'm talking about. Polo 4 Lyfe.

Fabulous!!! Got the combo breakfast. Everything was delicious, the French toast was Devine. The entertainment and host, exceptional. A hidden gem, but well worth it. Courteous and attentive staff.

My first time at The Polo Inn was definitely a fun and memorable experience. Thank you Jason. My friend and I enjoyed our food and met some wonderful ladies. Butternut squash soup, onion rings, sautéed mushrooms, grilled boneless chicken breast sandwich and coffee. Thank you.

Dave is amazing!!!! The stories of the building history and the neighborhood are awesome. The food is over the top delicious. He needs to be on Dinners, Dives, and Drive-inns. The hospitality perfect. I highly recommend a stay at this wonderful establishment.

We had a wonderful lunch here. I had the couscous with the salmon, my friend had a ham sandwich with tater tots, and my mom had the penne with chicken. We all loved our food and the service.

While I didn't stay in the Inn, I had a sumptuous dinner at the restaurant. The lamb chops & the salmon were cooked to perfection and served over a delicious bed of summer greens, berries, and beets, lightly dressed and sprinkled with Bleu cheese--with the BEST creme brulee for dessert. Dinner doesn't get much better than this!

Darling little jewel nestled in the Bridgeport neighborhood of chicago. Also, the Polo Inn has availability for banquets and bed and breakfast suites. How great is that. Minutes from downtown, Sox park and the lake front.

Came here for Sunday Gospel Brunch with a friend. What a special treat! Food and service were excellent (I got today's special and my friend got the combo prix fixe) but the cherry was definitely the gospel music. Chef has a wonderful voice and it was so heart-warming hearing him sing blessings over the diners and the community. His sincerity and peace definitely shined through. Definitely coming back!

A dozen family members on a warm Saturday at noon. Nice ambiance, convenient parking, quick seating, good service, but a/c was out. Food bare-bone and meh. Tasty grits with rubbery shrimp. Steak cooked well rather than as ordered. Drinks were fine.

Dave and his staff go above and beyond. The food is amazing. Me and my girlfriend stayed in the 2 br suite. And let me tell you the pictures do not do these rooms justice. I usually only stay in 4-5 star hotels. This experience was just wonderful all the way around. They treat you like valued guest and go above and beyond for their customers. Best breakfast I've ever had, very comfortable and very private and quiet rooms. TV was listed as a 32" on my ap, I was happy to see a 50" TV in the room with all the streaming services to watch whatever you want. Bed was very comfortable and the room was just so clean. Very old building but it has been updated and they added a claw tub...phenomenal place. Anytime I go back to Chicago, this is where I will stay!

Our favorite brunch spot and greatest neighborhood gem. Everything on the menu is perfectly curated and soo delicious. Portions are generous- we never leave without leftovers. Some of my favorites are the bacon bun, the crème brûlée French toast (a must-have), the pretzel bun, and chilaquiles. Gospel brunch is my favorite- the owner/chef/lead gospel singer is always in-house and always walks around saying hellos and making sure everyone has a good meal. whether for weeknight date night or weekend brunch, I don’t know what we’d do without this neighborhood staple ❤️

The Polo Inn is a great local place to relax and have a delicious meal. We always get the salmon dinner because it is so excellent. It is always very moist and delicious! The soups are outstanding, too. And service is always top notch here. Definitely recommend it! The decor and architectural details of this restaurant makes you feel like you have taken a step back in time to old Chicago with the charm of days gone by. Last time we were here on a Friday night we were treated to a violin concert by a fellow diner, and even the owner started singing Christmas carols!

I was there for their annual Christmas brunch. The food was great. They have enough variety for anyone's taste. Plus they had live music.

Have been coming here for a few years and it does not disappoint. The music and atmosphere is perfect for a Sunday. Staff is extremely friend and attentive.

Chef owner Dave and his employee Kevin are truly the bests! We booked at the Polo Inn B&B for two nights, because we had some works done on our boat nearby. We cannot say how much we loved this place! As boaters who have been away from home for 3 months now, the Polo Inn was like homecoming. Room was clean and perfect for our needs. Breakfast were delicious : you have to try their crème brûlée french toasts! Dave was really helpful and generous. We cannot thank him enough for everything he did for us while we were here. Repairs on the boat got delayed, so we even had the chance to enjoy a third night. :)

Was there for Mother's Day brunch. There were 6 of us In half thought the food was just OK. The disappointing part was that there was no really breakfast. No eggs bacon sausage etc. It's supposed to be a brunch not just lunch. Not worth the money was the majority of our opinion.

I love this place normally. But on the most recent visit I ordered a special of the day. I didn't much care for it and sent it back. I ordered something else and not only did they not charge for the special, they had my new order out super fast!

Very beautiful neighborhood, wonderful service and fabulous food. We are the first time here even living in the neighborhood for over 20 years. The fruit cup is the best in my life!!

Was very clean. Located close to Guaranteed Rate Field which is why were in Chicago. The people running the Polo Inn were very friendly and provided great service to us! The food alone should get 5 stars the French Toast was the best I’ve had! We stayed in the Sox sweet and it was filled with Sox memorabilia and a room dedicated to the field of Dreams which was really fun to look at. Highly recommend. We plan on staying here anytime we come to town for a White Sox game.

The foods okay. I don't believe many of the items are cooked to order as to how fast the food came out. Food seems to be kept warm or reheated to order. Sunday's is Gospel lunch. If you don't want to get charged an entertainment fee of $1/person eat outside. Very interesting experience though.
