The place offers food up until midnight and we wanted something to eat kinda late, there's vegan and vegetarian dishes (the menu is not that extensive at night) and the food was on point, so good! The spinach and artichoke dip was something new my husband tried and was reluctant to, but he ended absolutely loving it! The burger was amazing, and the dessert was spectacular. I would definitely come again!

This place was absolutely amazing, and we wish we would have found it earlier on our trip. we would have definitely tried to eat here every day. We will be back, and we have definitely recommended others to stop by.

This is my 3rd visit here over the past few years and I must say the food gets better and better each time. For a family of three with tax our bill was $50 😮 yes, the prices are affordable and the food is amazing. My bunch is beyond picky and they were satisfied. Highly recommend them.

Very nice place definitely family friendly and in a decent neighborhood. We where staying around the corner and thought we would give them a try. The prices are average compared to the restaurants in the area. However the service was great. We had the crab fondue for an appetizer and I would say it was decent but not amazing. It had a sour lemon taste. The taco platter comes with 5 for shells and you build your own tacos. My son said the chicken was the best part and the pork was just ok. I originally had the Cajun pasta but ended up asking for something else as the shrt and chicken where pretty tough. However that's where the service shined. The manager came over and let us know they would be getting out a new meal rightv away. I felt like he genuinely cared that I didn't like it and wanted to make it right. I went with the same dish my wife had which was the pork chop smothered with a maple glaze and mashed potatoes. Let me tell you that was the best pork chop I've ever had. Cooked perfect and the maple glass was fire!!! There is definitely some hit and miss items and everyone's flavor is different but the service and atmosphere make this a great stop for all ages.

We recently moved into a place a few hundred feet from here and noticed this place is open late at night but never tried it. We decided to stop in for a late breakfast. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is nice. There were three of us and two shared a French toast and cinnamon bun and the other had a chicken chopped salad. The two people could not finish the French toast and cinnamon bun so they took it home. Everything we had was good. The bill came to $49.49 without the tip. We will be back for some late night snacks one day.

The restaurant was not busy. My server was nice and suggested a local IPA and it was very good. I had the bang bang shrimp as a appetizer. It was spicy as described by my waitress and very good. My burger was over cooked however everyone was very apologetic. They removed it from my bill. The place was very clean including the restrooms.

Took a minute to talk in and be seated. Our waiter was nice, polite, and checked on us frequently with refills and asking if we were ok. The bang bang shrimp is BANGING and was spicier than I thought but we finished it. My husband and mother in-law ordered the top sirloin steak with the chimchurri sauce. The steak was tender, juicy, and flavorful. I ordered the fish tacos with the side of chips and salsa and it was very good and could only eat about 2 tacos. Very filling and worth the price. Definitely recommend the bang bang shrimp and fish tacos!

I’ve been walking past this restaurant for about 10 years and finally came for lunch with some friends. I really enjoyed the fish tacos I ordered and my homie got the sunny side up which he liked but recommends getting it with out the steak sauce. His wife got the lobster roll, but she didn’t like it because it was more like tuna. The service was fast , and polite. The server we had stayed on top of everything and did a great job , I hope we get him again. I will definitely be coming back here sooner or later.

I came into the city late on the last train into millennium station and walked in around 10:30-11 at night. The full menu was still being served, and the service was very good. I had the stuffed grouper, with asparagus and mashed potatoes. Everything was delicious and the meal tied together nicely. Also pictured is the house side salad, the cucumber mule and the beer I drank while waiting for the food. Atmosphere is nice. Service is friendly. There is a patio outside and a well stocked bar. Points for being open late. Good experience and would return. I felt like the price to value vs. experience was fair

Family friendly pub grill restaurant. Full bar with an American cuisine menu. Clean and roomy. Full bar with plenty of tvs around to watch. Friendly staff. There's also a big room in the back for big parties. The food was to temp, fresh, and tasty. Reasonable prices.

This is a frequent lunch stop for my coworkers and I and I have enjoyed it every time I have dined in. Service is quick and staff is professional. I had the Spicy Chicken Wrap with a side of tater tots and I was impressed with the large portions (so many tater tots, yum!). The wrap had a little too much lettuce and not enough chicken for my taste, but otherwise everything was great!

We went to this American style restaurant when it was not very busy. Service was perfect. We had burgers and a salad. Food was very tasty and prices were ok for the downtown. Only the water tasted like being tapped directly from the swimming pool. I would go again!

I liked the beer there, servers are very friendly. The appetiser served after the meal. The fish taco was well presented and it’s vegetables were very fresh but the fish was not that good. I asked for medium rare burger but was well done. The burger meat quality should be improved!

Overall our visit to Sweetwater Tavern & Grille was a positive one and that was mainly due to our server Javon (I apologize if I have misspelled his name). If you visit here, you must ask for his section! He is not just an amazing server, but an overall amazing human. Very personable, sweet, attentive, funny etc. The world in general need more people like him. Needless to say, if I could give more than 5 stars for service, I would. The atmosphere was also pretty good. Upbeat, multiple TVs around with different programs to look at if you wanted, lots of windows for people watching. As for the food, my steak salad was very good! Definitely recommended that. As well as the hot cookie with ice cream for dessert. The negative being the cheeseburger my husband had. He said the meat had no seasoning and it was dry - no sauce of any kind came on it or with it on the side. Quite disappointing. Tater tots were crispy and tasty though. I do have to say my cranberry mojito was quite tasty and full of fresh cranberries which was a nice touch. A bit pricey at almost $14 but apparently that's Chicago pricing.

Great place to have lunch or dinner. Service was exceptional, they have a great drink menu and the food was so good! The Nashville hot chicken was great, as well as their burgers and chicken sandwich. Would return again and definitely recommend it here.

We ordered the bloody Mary's and the Michelada. Both were very good and I would order them again. For a snack we had the bang bang shrimp. It was lightly breaded and fried, then tossed in bang bang sauce. Definitely would order it again. This was all followed by donuts because why not?

The linguini was delicious. It had a variety of protein in it and the Cajun gave it a good flavor. Drinks were awesome. Service was quick. The wings were also very good. They were crispy with sauce. We enjoyed them very much. The bang bang shrimp was spot on good!

Phenomenal!!! Writing this up at I finish up eating so I don’t forget. Food was great! The bartenders (specially Anthony) are amazing! I will be back without any hesitation. Bang bang shrimp is a must! So are the Cajun pasta and chicken sandwich!

A must visit as a traveler or even a local. They offer a decent selection of beers and cocktails. Food was sumptuously gorgeous. Ample seating spaces with booths and high chairs. Busy place with good service. I do wish that they carried emergency phone chargers or a charging station.

Great location, great atmosphere, okay food. The bang bang shrimp was amazing however the fish did not taste fresh. Would try something different next time. Has outdoor seating and very clean.

Really good! Excellent American pub style venue with a great vibe- very popular. We didn't book so had to wait about 10 mins for a table, but well worth it. The food was very tasty and well cooked, and not overly expensive like many other venues in the area. The brownie was amazing 🙂. Good range of choices and the drinks menu was also extensive. A special thanks to our waitress Jasmine, who was lovely and looked after my wife and I very well. Well recommended and would definitely go back!

This was a really nice place for brunch. We are in town celebrating our anniversary and the food was tasty, drinks were good too and prices were not crazy! All the staff was very welcoming and friendly. I took a picture of my mimosa flight.

A group of five of us ate here for lunch on a Saturday when the restaurant was really busy. Overall, we were happy with our food, as everything tasted great and portion sizes were more than adequate. Despite how packed it was, we also didn’t have a long wait to be seated. Our server Mariana was very nice and as attentive as could be, again given the busy time. Only suggestion would be to let patrons know that the burgers come dry, as we waited a bit to get some mayo.

This place surprised us. We really enjoyed our meal here. They have a decent amount of beer on tap, plenty of appetizers, and the prices are decent. There is even a great rewards program for frequent customers. The wait staff was friendly too. We have been here several times and have been pleased each time. If you are looking for classic American tavern/pub food, this is a great place to try. We would highly recommend Sweetwater!

I walked by here many times for several years and never went in because I assumed it was mediocre. It's actually a great place. Plenty of outdoor seating for the warmer months and the food isn't fancy but it's tasty. The drinks are also good though of course have downtown prices. Service is professional and the manager is easy to talk to. Now I go often. If you want American food and a relaxing experience go here. Not a stuffy or uptight downtown restaurant.

I had the sunny side up burger. The egg and burger itself were cooked perfectly. Waitress was very helpful and came by to check on us frequently. They have a pretty good beer list if you are into that sort of thing, with lots of local brews. Coming from Texas, It was kinda pricey for a burger to me, but seemed to be about right compared to other reasonable places to eat a nice dinner. It has a good mix of bar/restaurant space so there is room for everyone. Decor is modern with lots of windows around the perimeter for people watching. You can sit outside too. Its an easy walk from most of the hotels downtown and is also close to the park and the "bean". I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good burger for a decent price.

I visit Chicago several times a year and this is the one place that I go out of my way to visit every time I'm in town. The food is great and the service is always top notch. This visit Myron B was our server was incredibly polite, engaging and offered suggestions from the appetizer menu and was very attentive during a late afternoon early evening rush. If you have not visited Sweetwater make an effort to get there. While I am not a beer drinker they have a large selection of beers and it's also a great atmosphere for meeting up with friends or just catching a game

I went in for drinks and an appetizer. Our waitress was awesome! Nice and friendly, as well as the rest of the employees. The bathrooms were clean, but a little tight on exiting them when there's a person washing there hands right next to the door. I had a spicy margarita. It was not spicy to me, but I eat very spicy food on a regular basis. So, to the average person's spice level, it's probably spicy. Aside from the spice, the taste of the margarita itself was great. For an appetizer, I had the Buffalo bites. They were so delicious: crunchy, creamy, and juicy all at the same time!

Just had a late lunch at Sweetwater restaurant and was underwhelmed with the food. Service was okay. The stuffed halibut my daughter had was stuffed with maybe 1 teaspoon of crab an barely any cheese that I could see. We saw another order that passed us and it looked loaded with stuffing and cheese. I had the shrimp and grits. While the shrimp was cooked perfectly the grits where okay. Too bad the consistency in food was off that we had to experience it today.

I love this place. The food is consistently great and the service is usually always good. The mimosa flights are a fun way to try more than one kind and they have have good brunch drink list. The place is clean and the staff is friendly.

We just finished brunch at Sweetwater and everything was 100% on point. The food was outstanding, as was the coffee. While other restaurants are suffering from limited staff, Sweetwater looks to be full staffed & very attentive. Lastly, their Covid protocols made me feel safe while eating. I highly recommend.

We went for lunch and then try to go for dinner next day, however; for the type of area they are at (which is very touristy) we think the kitchen closes too early. We got there around 9:45pm and the host told us the kitchen was already close and only the bar was open! What? In such a city like Chicago where people are awake until late it was disappointing 😞 If you go for lunch or early dinner the food was very good and great service. Well priced simple straight forward decor and good portions.

Great food and service. The atmosphere was very laid back and fun whether your out for drinks with friends, or grabbing a quick bite with family. The outside side seating area is nice also to have a cold beverage and people watch. 😁
