Place is ok if you dont mind waiting forever for your drinks. After failed attempt the Drake to get service, my friend and I tried this place, thinking if you sat at the bar, you'd get better service. It was terribly slow. The bartender took about 10 min just to acknowledge us (the bar is small with just 3 other people there). We ordered two drinks. My friend got his martini after about another 10 min but it took another 15 min for me to get my Manhattan. Plus the bartender shook my Manhattan (who does that?) without the shaker cover and used his hand. I saw how he did it to make sure it wasn't affecting the drink but that's pretty gross. The Manhattan was also half vermouth...just not a good drink. I give it two stars because the food was ok. Green bean fries are a bit over fried but tasty. The sweet potato and guac was good, just small for the price.

Traveled from California to Chicago , researched this place because of my love for martinis , Initially it looked like a classy place to have a lemon drop wish I would’ve not visited the bartender Steve is in the wrong business of hospitality he has zero personality while my drink was delish I gave him compliment and he dismissed it , he behaves like he hates his job didn’t make me want to have another drink a closed the tab quicker than a blink of an eye management coach this guy !!!!

It’s just a little bar in the lobby of the Knickerbocker hotel and it’s fine. That’s it really - fine. A decent dirty martini and an acceptable margarita with slightly stale pub mix. But there are some comfy couches and it’s not stuffy or overcrowded. Exactly what we needed after our flight.

I purchased a groupon for afternoon tea. We were running 15 min and called ahead of time to notify them and if it was okay. The person who answered was nice and told us to take our time. We did the Asian tea time. We were given a selection of Rishi tea to choose from. The food came out shortly after. The warm food were mostly fried frozen things. And the desserts weren’t anything great. The price we paid for the groupon was worth the price, but I don’t thing it’s worth the regular price. The ambiance was okay. It’s in a bar in the corner of a hotel lobby. The staff was nice and accommodating. It’s a nice cute date place or to catch up with a friend. Overall a nice experience.

My friend and I visited the bar on Saturday night and there was a wedding at the hotel also. We didn't mind the loudness, but we did have an issue with our slow service. It took forever for us to get a server's attention and then even longer for the food to come out. The food and drinks were good, but the very slow service made the night drag. Even when going to pay I went to the bar to make the checkout faster, and it still took 20 mins due to the server doing 4 things at once instead of running my card so I could leave. Overall, please go if you love reasonably priced, but good food; however, you may want to stay away if you don't want to spend over 2 hours getting two drinks, an app and a dessert.

Good food and quick to seat but we sat for about a half hour before we got any service at all. Then we ended up having to get our own plates and utensils too since no one came back around for awhile. But it's a nice and cozy environment otherwise. Just make sure you don't have to rush to any plans afterwards!

Drinks were very good, but there could have been more care and attention from the bartender. He remained absolutely silent during the entire transaction. Very odd.

Jem of a bar. Tucked away but steps from the bussle of Michigan Ave it is a lovely escape for a quiet and amazing drink. Service is top notch.

Give yourself time do you don't feel rushed! I made a reservation, but the party that occupied the largest table before us was late. They stayed over, making us have a longer wait time, BUT we were compensated fairly for our wait! Service was excellent, our waiter was great and very friendly. The food was tasty and filling without being too heavy. Great sweets and tea collection. Would still recommend making a reservation, and plan on returning. It's in a good location for shopping, I already had a deal from a Groupon, and my guests had a good time despite one of them not being big into teas.

Horrible service from the bartender, should’ve went with gut and walked away. Terrible cocktail he made, mine had all the liquor my husbands was all mix.

Tiny bar in the corner of a hotel lobby. It was cozy, and the drinks were good.
