This place is literally one of the best breakfast joints I’ve ever had!! I didn’t get the opportunity to try lunch or dinner here. But my co-worker for their tacos for dinner & said they were really good! Love the health conscious ingredients they use, yet it tastes AMAZING!!! I ordered the bacon, egg & cheese sandwich the first day & figured it would just taste like a basic breakfast sandwich. Boy was I wrong!! It was unexplainable how good it tasted! Their tea is really delicious as well! Environment is cozy & relaxing.

We stopped here for dinner on Sunday night. It looks like a place you’d more likely stop for breakfast or lunch. However, our dinner was very good, too! More traditional in fare, we had the fries appetizer, chicken bebe and prime meatloaf. All were reasonably priced, full of flavor and well-portioned.

A good place for breakfast/brunch in the city. They have a good variety of options for brunch. Their coffee selection is amazing. Do try their freshly squeezed juices. Sunday brunches here great! Also, they have a really good pastry counter. Loved it!!

We got a voucher from the Aloft hotel so we came down here for a little breakfast. For the pastries and coffee, you can just order from the counter. We decided to forego the sit-down brunch because we were on a time crunch. We got a Bacon Asiago Danish as well as a Broccoli Ricotta Cruffin (with whole egg) as well as a Cappuccino and Honey White Latté. Everything tasted freshly made (morning of) and, prices were pretty decent considering. Beautiful environment. Attentive staff. Will sit in for a meal next time!

YUM!! Had a girls day with my bestie that included a late lunch at Beatrix. The original plan was breakfast or brunch but they didn't have space to seat 2 on a regular Monday morning. We are both vegetarian, leaning vegan so we look for restaurants with a few vegetarian friendly options no matter where we go. We each started our lunch with a latte both made with oat milk. For starters we shared the cauliflower and the MOST AMAZING french fries I've eaten in my entire life with crispy fried lemons! The soup and salad were also fantastic. This is on my list of places to eat again soon.

Bumping place… always packed, but great food! Environment: 9/10. This place is packed! Lots of folks here on a Sunday Brunch - loved the vibe. Some of the tables can be a bit sticky… we sat at the bar and moved to a table - both were. Definitely great vibes and cool little bakery area. Food: 8.5/10. Solid food and no major complaints. Also, didn’t blow my mind either - but I’d definitely be back as a regular place to frequent. I may be spoiled by really really good food though. The glasses smell a bit like dishwasher - maybe give the dishwasher a quick wash? Service: 7/10. Whilst sat at the bar, every person behind was heads down avoiding eye contact. It was real disappointing. Had one guy finally come up to us after 10 minutes - I think he was a manager. He was solid. Also, Jack was pretty good too. Overall, great place that is bustling with tourists and locals. I’d say they just need a little more attention on service and they can get across the line in my books.

Such a cute place. We went on a Saturday morning around 10:30-11 (expect to wait 45 minutes+) they were very busy, but you can tell it’s a popular place. Service was excellent and food was delicious. I could tell they were short staffed, but they were doing a great job in spite of it. The photo I took was from 8AM right when they opened (we were staying in the hotel) so if you don’t feel like waiting, get there early!

I waited about 45 min on a busy Saturday morning for a table for 1 and it was absolutely worth it. The staff was friendly and seemed happy to give recommendations. I had the ham and cheese croissant, with a side of chicken sausage and it was delicious. I ordered a coffee to go, which also didn't disappoint. I regret not trying any of the pastries.

Only can speak to the coffee bar + bakery but everything looked and tasted delicious! Had the blueberry lemon muffin and a black coffee. Will be back the next few days to try more of their sweet treats because of how great the muffin was!

We came here for brunch during the Chicago restaurant week. It was $25 for a 3 course meal that included a pastry, starter and entree plus a beverage. Would have appreciated some more options for pastry. For the starter, I loved their jalapeño and avocado toast. Entree options were good too - I had the pecan praline French toast. The ambience inside was cozy, casual and the decor is tastefully done. We got a great table by the window and felt like we were able to have more privacy within the restaurant. Our server Doug was friendly and accommodating with our requests. Overall, it was a decent meal.

We walked to Beatrix from a hotel during our visit in Chicago. We were very impressed with the quality of food and service. Our server was quick to bring drinks and greet us. The meal was quite expedient for the amount of people dining in the restaurant. It was a lovely and relaxing meal. We hope to enjoy another meal at Beatrix again!

We visited here for brunch but didn’t order the traditional brunch style food. The poke bowl was definitely beyond my expectations, I especially loved the bamboo rice. The drink there was great, too. The service was fast and high quality given how busy they were. I look forward to returning soon.

A very popular brunch spot, or really anytime of the day, in the River North area. They serve a decent number of classic breakfast dishes but have good looking lunch and dinner menu as well. I’d suggest making a reservation or be prepared to wait even on a weekday. Food I got the prime burger and was satisfied it. The buns were my favorite part and were nicely toasted. The cheese melted on top of the patty added some nice flavors. Good amount of vegetables to balance it out. Fries were good but nothing too special. I got a fresh made lemonade as well and would recommend it if you are looking for something refreshing. Atmosphere The place is bustling with people and lively. Noise level was not loud though. There are nice views of the street and perfect on a sunny day to get brunch with friends. The interior is nicely decorated. Pricing Prices were average for food in Chicago and worth the food quality. Service Service was great. The server was overly nice saying that I had to wait too long for my food even though it came out promptly. Other I would make a reservation if possible because there will be a wait at this popular spot.

It was really good. I usually prefer my enchiladas a bit spicier, but the flavors overall were spot on. The hot coney Brussels were perfectly crispy, easily our favorite dish. The ravioli was a bit rich for us, but still great, especially with the bean sprouts adding a nice touch.

The place has many good reviews but unfortunately I wasn't impressed with the food during my two visits. It was okay. Servers are amable. The first time I had the fish tacos and the Old Fashioned. The cocktail was good. The tacos were okay, but I was expecting a bit more in terms of flavour. The second time I had the steak (didn't take pictures unfortunately). It was a decent steak, nicely cooked, but the sides were a bit sad and tasteless. Maybe I was unlucky, but as I said, I wasn't impressed.

My friends and I were looking for an easy, casual restaurant on New Years Day to enjoy brunch. We ended up absolutely LOVING our food and drinks - even more than expected! Pro tip - buy pastries after your meal at the counter to go!! The restaurant is attached to a hotel. Would definitely recommend making a reservation to avoid a long wait.

One word. Amazing. Came here on a recommendation for brunch from a friend and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent - especially the lemon pancakes! But the service was beyond good. Thanks to Shawn and Brianna for making our meal so enjoyable. Make a reservation - it can be busy on weekends

Really delicious food! That’s the first thing that really matters. Then the ambience was wonderful especially on a summer evening with cool breeze. We were a party of seven and everyone enjoyed themselves. Portions are large for a few of us and we didn’t have space for desserts, pity. I have the scampi pasta and it’s probably one of the best I’ve had. The corn broth was wonderful and full of umami (I thought it could be too sweet but it wasn’t). I tried my friend’s vegan bowl and the rice and shiitake mushrooms were so yummy! Great place for groups with all sorts of diet preferences.

If you are a planner, this is where you want to be. I am not a planner and tried to walk in this restaurant for breakfast for 1 year and finally made it (only 25 minutes wait was acceptable) typical waiting time is very long and personally don't like to plan the breakfast location ahead. I was glad it was worth the wait as the produces have a much better quality than other places and the vegan options strikes! The plate presentation is also well cured and the attention of details makes this place ranking much better than other places. It is a little more expensive than others, however it is totally worth it. They also have fresh fruit juices with NO sugar added! This is particularly rare around. The hashbrown were all cut and presented in a squared shaped form, not just the classic disordered small mount. The service was great and the waiter asked several times for a coffee refill, which is much appreciated! Definitely will have to change my habits to book some breakfast to make sure I don't miss out again on this! Will definitely be back!

If I could do 3.5 I would but Google doesn't allow single person nuance, so I defaulted to the higher 4 stars because of service. We were there on a very rainy Monday evening. We got lucky with open Street parking at 510 pm right across the from the restaurant. Our server was very knowledgeable, personable, and was the best part of the day. The food is better than average. We had a few different dishes and everything was fine, tasty. The ambiance was nice and open. There was a good mix of solo people, couples or friends, and bigger groups.

The server wasn't able to split up a bill into 3 parts, so we had to do it and itemize our own bill. That's pretty strange when you're charging an extra service fee. So that's why it gets a star off. Otherwise, the food was decent

Made reservations via Open Table for this. The pancakes are deliciously light fluffy and perfect. The chicken sausage patties were unbelievably tasty too.

Let’s go! Phenomenal. Amazing experience. We enjoyed ourselves so much! The ambiance is great. The staff is efficient, knowledgeable, and on top of their service. The guac is delicious! And the burger was cooked exactly the way I wanted it. The bartending is great too, one of the best martinis I’ve had. You can’t go wrong. We enjoyed every thing.

Ate here as we were heading out of Chicago for my birthday weekend. It was a really fun place to eat at. We ate at the bar and enjoyed the spicy chicken sandwich along with the espresso and mimosas! Staff was great and super fun.

I like this place enough to have had breakfast thrice in a week. That is testament to how good the food is. They open comparatively early and are open into the night. Generally pretty busy, best to make a reservation unless you like waiting.

Saying “goodbye” to Chicago Restaurant Week is always bittersweet, but I got to wrap up this years foodie festivities, on the very last day, here. They had one of the BEST menu offerings for restaurant week! Included in $42 was a drink (wine, beer or specialty cocktail), a starter, entree and dessert. Food & drink I tried: 🍸Pour Decisions Loaded Guacamole Chicken Bebe Oh my! Caramel Pie Everything was a 10/10! The Chicken Bebe was so simple but full of flavor and the caramel pie? Delish!!! To top it all off, the service was great, from the hostess who raved about how she loved working for Lettuce Entertain You, to our fabulous server, who was so delightful and welcoming Now the wait begins for next years Chicago Restaurant Week!

We had Friday brunch- booking was easy and 30 minutes in advance, plenty of tables. The place is big and crowded but you do not feel it. We could have a conversation, food arrives In reasonable time and was tasty. Service was very good. It is a reasonable place with plenty of options.

Our waitress Andrea was amazing. Very professional and nice. Food came out delicious. My daughter loved her lemon pancakes and especially her white hot chocolate as you can tell by the photo. Music and overall atmosphere was very pleasant. Would definitely come back.

I'd been wanting to visit here for SOOO LONGGG and finally got to! This was my fiancées first meal in Chicago and it did not disappoint. The portions were just the right size. There were pescetarian and vegetarian options which worked out great for us. My favorite dish, the appetizer, and possibly one of the best dishes I've ever had was the whipped feta. I could eat this with the seeded crackers for eternity. I was in some sort of trance, I swear. I always navigate towards dishes that seem seasonal so I went with the spinach and ricotta ravioli with the squash, sugar snap peas and the cream sauce. It was delicious and comforting. The Kennebec fries with the crispy Lemons and chilis (what a brilliant idea!) were a tasty added side dish for the salmon that my fiancé ordered. He loved the flavorful miso glazed salmon dish and would highly recommend. I had to pass on the dessert options and regret it! Looking forward to coming back.

This place was highly rated which is why we decided to give it a try on our last day here in Chicago. We got there around 8:30 am (it opens at 8 am) and were told there was 45 minutes wait while half the restaurant were empty. I am sure there is a reason for it but I just don’t know myself. Since there were a few spots left at the bar, we decided to just have our breakfast while staring at the bartender debating whether it is socially acceptable to order a whiskey on the rocks before 9 am. Sorry I digress: the fluffy pancakes were indeed fluffy. In fact, it was so fluffy that we almost ordered a second one. I had also a fried chicken burger with fried eggs. I have to say this was the best burger I had that had a fried egg in it. It was just a little weird that I ordered coffee to go with it but that was on me. Overall it is a great place. You gotta check it out while visiting Chicago!

I went for brunch at 1:00 pm. I recommend making a reservation. Without a reservation, you'll still get seated, but you will be waiting. The hostesses, servers, and food were all great. I really enjoyed the 80s music 🎶

I tried the shrimp in grits. It was not the flavor i expected as the description said spicy. It lacked spice and appeal. The atmosphere was great, the service and drinks was perfect. I would suggest trying other menu items and the bakery does look good so i would give it another shot.

I had breakfast there. The server was wonderful and the environment was great. I didn’t like the food and the drink though. I ordered pancakes (I didn’t even eat them, definitely not my taste, and I do love pancakes). Chai latte , industrial and too sugary. As I said the waiter was great so left her the 20% tip despite the food. The appearance of the pancakes was nice, just not the taste.

Came here for brunch. Noise level was a tad loud but nothing bothersome. The waiter was very kind and apologetic when one of our dishes didn’t come out in a timely manner. The Cinnamon bun was very tasty. The bacon was truly wonderful, if you don’t get anything else at least get the bacon. Other dishes we ordered included the lemon pancakes, chicken sandwich, and burger. Also try the margarita it’s quite good.

Great vibes, even better food! Service was great and talked us through what was available at the coffee bar. The Iced Banana Joe with Kahlua was the perfect recommendation, black coffee was on point. Chicken sausage was delicious. Egg whites were perfect. Overall wonderful experience! Saving for when we're back in the city.

We came here for breakfast on our last morning in Chicago. We sat outside on a really lovely morning. My sister ordered the cold brew and I had a London fog latte on ice. Both were delicious. I got the egg white omelette with turkey bacon. The eggs were extremely fluffy and the cheese and spinach were great inside. The little tomato avocado salad had some dressing that complemented the omelette so well and the turkey bacon was cooked to perfection. The waitress was super nice and the food came out really quickly. Highly recommend.

I definitely enjoyed my meal; however there weren't enough menu options available with regards to half portions and or more varieties to choose from. Apparently their old menu listed here on Google has outdated pricing information and food options. This evening when I entered the restaurant for the first time the hostess spent a lot of time assisting a customer who was seeking a carry out order. I was very patient and she then took care of a caller for a few more moments so again I waited. I just wanted to tell her I was seeking a table outside but she seemed busy and I could see she might have needed extra help. As I waited I noticed several empty tables outside; but the hostess said I'd need to wait an additional 20 minutes for outside seating so I agreed to join the wait list and took a seat by the juice/coffee bar and decided to try a kale green juice. It was $8 but Google states it's $6.50 regardless it tasted good and I sat comfortably waiting for an outside table to be cleaned. My phone alerted me my table was ready and the hostess approached me and asked me to wait a bit longer as she took care of other guests inside the restaurant. I decided to step outside to wait for her and she showed me a clean empty table where I sat waiting for my server to approach me. I took some time to figure out what I wanted and I picked the ahi tuna tartar and chicken tortilla soup. I would have loved a half portion of their larger salad; but my server stated there are no half portion options. Later on after I ordered i asked another sever about smaller salad options and she said they actually do have tomatoes with arugula for $7.95 but she said my server was new and not completely familiar with all the options here. My tortilla soup was excellent and well portioned. I definitely loved the tomato based broth and rich textures like crunchy chips and well made tender chicken pieces. The ahi tuna however was pretty tiny for the $14.95 I was charged and I really would have appreciated less avocado and much more raw tuna considering the price. I would have also loved a bit of bread 🍞 served with my soup or before my meal but they don't offer bread here. The dinner menu is a bit pricey so a serving of complimentary bread would have been appreciated. I'm leaving 3 stars because the service here was a bit slow and my tuna appetizer just wasn't a good value for the money. Both my dishes were tasty but the prices should be lower if they have tapas style options here. Great place for people watching though! I also noticed the breakfast items listed are more reasonably priced so I'm assuming most people come here to enjoy breakfast and brunch.

I loved this place! Super convenient to the hotel where I was staying. I dined here two mornings in a row for breakfast. Both mornings my servers were very attentive and prompt to take my order. Fred was friendly and always there to refresh my morning brew. Not sure about the name of my second day server but he was also on top of everything. First day I tried the lemon pancakes. They were light and fluffy. I got the traditional syrup instead of the lemon syrup that comes with them though. I was afraid that it would be too sweet. The coffee was delicious! Second day I did the bacon egg and cheese sandwich. Though it was tasty with the eggs prepared soufflé style, I would’ve preferred this on a croissant instead of the brioche it comes on. The dirty chai latte I got on the second day was amazing! Highly recommend this place if you’re needing a quick breakfast. I was in and out both days in less than 45 minutes. I look forward to trying it again when I’m back in town for lunch or dinner.

This restaurant is really beautiful, nice design. Food is outstanding but maybe just one plate will be enough for you. Cocktails are pretty good, they have a huge barista selection for coffees, however we did not try any. Deserts are super sweet. It’s basically healthy food. Service is OK, nothing special. Make sure you get a reservation. 100% recommended

The food was really good, I surprisingly really enjoyed the straight A salad. The Tall Dark and Handsome cake was the highlight. The consistency of it was mousse at the top and cake at the bottom.

Beautiful ambiance with memorable food. I was delighted by my ham & cheese croissant, which was more elevated than I anticipated. My malt espresso drink was great as well.

We went for Sunday brunch and this is probably our favorite brunch place we’ve found in Chicago. Everything was delicious and I thought it was a great value. If you like a little kick, I’d highly recommend the Spicy Chicken Tinga. The Greek Yogurt was also very good and my wife loved her Bacon Egg and Cheddar Sandwich.

This place was amazing! It was next to my hotel and I loved it. We had brunch on a sunday and I really wanted to try it all. It has a terrace and also you can dine inside also. We had a shakshouka and pancackes with lemon syrup! The coffee was extremly good. The staff was friendly and they took good care of us. I would definitely go back again!
