I headed out to RPM for my anniversary and our experience was so lovely. We sat down and we’re immediately greeted by our waitress and handed complimentary glasses of champagne. This was the best service we’ve ever had!! The food was incredible (I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves) and I still can’t get over how accommodating and sincere the staff was. It was the perfect night out in the city to dress up a bit and celebrate. I wish I could go there for dinner every night!

Overall: The food was good and the service was professional, courteous, and timely. Price point is high, which is to be expected, but I feel it should be a bit lower for many of the dishes. The restaurant has a nice ambiance that is a bit more on the formal side. If coming for dinner, get a reservation. Appetizers: The Heirloom Tomato Salad was a winner. The RPM Caesar was also good. We didn't try the Parker House Rolls or Gruyere Popovers but they looked rather delicious from what we saw at other tables. We the table steak platter that included all the cuts of Japanese Wagyu. I'm not well-versed in steaks so it was interesting to taste the difference among the various options. Personally, I wouldn't recommend the platter unless you're really into steaks and want to try a little of each variety. Main Course: A couple of us got the Wagyu Smash Burger, which was good but not over-the-top amazing. The Ora King Salmon was tender and tasty but lacking much sides (but you can order sides separate). We would also recommend the bone-in bison filet and bone-in ribeye. Dessert: We got the 14K Chocolate Cake, the Vanilla Sugar Doughnuts, and the Peach Melba Cheesecake. Out of the 3, we would recommend the doughnuts for sure and potentially the cheesecake. The chocolate cake wasn't very good. Portion size: The portion sizes are quite large and will likely leave you feeling stuffed, especially if you get an appetizer and a side. Price point: Obviously the price point is high here but you know that coming in. However, I felt a lot of the items were really overpriced from the appetizers and sides to the burgers and a few of the steak cuts. Service: Courteous, professional, and timely. We never had to wait around for our waiter. I didn't catch his name but he was cool, down-to-earth guy who was very real with us when we asked for recommendations. Ambiance: Upper scale/fine dining. Attire: I'm not certain if they have a dress code but it's more of a business casual to formal vibe. Reservations: Definitely call in advance for reservations if coming for dinner service. Parking: We Ubered here so cannot speak to the parking situation.

I definitely wouldn't say this is the best steakhouse in Chicago. Very overpriced and service was not great. Our waiter paid more attention to tables with 4+ people. The filet was good and the sides were a little different compared to other restaurants but still tasty. We ordered baked alaska for dessert and that was great. We were given complimentary cotton candy for the birthday.

Tonight was our first time at RPM steak Chicago to say the experience was amazing would be an understatement!! The place is amazing inside, the food was outta this world, and the service was second to NONE! Our servers name was Anna she made the experience perfect! She was very knowledgeable, very professional and quite funny which made the night even better there needs to be more servers like her. We've been to alot of the top steakhouses in Chicago area and RPM jumped right to the front of the list we will definitely be back. Do not hesitate to try RPM

Ordered ribeye and tomahawk - the steak are cooked to perfection in terms of temperature. However, the plates are not warm enough to keep the steak as great as they first come out. In addition, they could use more seasoning. I can tell the meat is of high quality but it's not helpful when steak turns cold too fast. Baked Alaskan is also recommended. They recovered table side performance.

Has to be one of my favorite places for Steak. Great ambiance, food, and staff. Would definitely come back! Fries and steak were awesome. They have the best doughnut dessert I have ever had.

Restaurant week tasting Sirloin was tough but flavor was ok. Oysters had too much dressing inside that you don’t taste the ingredients Ceviche was a bit spicy that you don’t taste the flavor of the ingredients. Ice cream Sunday was the best part of the meal. At least went home with some satisfaction. Maybe it was restaurant week that servers were too busy and food was subpar to their normal standards.

Awesome service. Accommodated my wife and I and moved up our reservation to a day sooner because I messed up. Food was incredible. The Duke is a must have with the herb butter added! And as always Old Fashioned is a must.

The family stopped in at RPM Steak not knowing what to expect. Everything about RPM Steak exceeded our expectations. Everything, from the atmosphere, the food, the service, the hospitality, etc., was top-notch. The service was spectacular, and the general knowledge of the menu was impressive. The delicious dishes and unique mixtures of ingredients were a pleasant surprise. I cannot wait to go back and try more items from the menu.

My wife and I ate here for our anniversary. It was fantastic. To start, the service was the best service I have ever experienced. Four different people wished us a happy anniversary. The waiter was incredibly nice and was very attentive and accommodating, without being overbearing. He clearly knew the ins and outs of both the drink and food menus and made fantastic recommendations. The food was fantastic. I got the westholme strip and it was the best steak I have had in my life. Incredible flavor and perfectly cooked. My wife got the 28 day aged strip which was also great, and we both agree the Japanese swert potatoes were incredible. Overall just a fantastic restaurant and the food and service are both just incredible!

Excellent service, the server actually took the time to read the request my husband put in when we reserved that we prefer alcohol-free drinks and halal meat. So the server helped us choose the best for our preferences. They have halal steak on their menu, and authentic wagu steak from Australia. Also they gave us a complimentary banana flavored cotton candy with our dessert for our anniversary that small touch really made the whole experience special.

My first experience here is based on a private event and I can’t wait to go to have a regular dine in experience. RPM steak is such a beautiful place, with beautiful people (great staff), beautiful decor and amazing food. The food and service is incredible. You just feel so special here. Every dish was plated beautifully, mouthwatering and so much flavor! Great drink selection, including whiskey.

My wife and I called and made reservations about a week in advance and I’m happy we did. RPM was completely booked for the evening which isn’t surprising considering it’s a Saturday night and they offer an unforgettable experience. Food was fabulous from the start with the super soft bread and tasty oysters to the decadent 14k chocolate cake. Our server Ray was an absolute love and was extremely knowledgeable with the entire menu. He really made it easy for me to figure out what to order which is surprising because honestly everything sounded so delicious. The entire staff was attentive and kind and allowed for my wife and I to have a wonderful anniversary dinner. Thank you so much RPM. See you again soon. 🖤 The Rogers ✨Seen in pictures✨ Barrel Select Manhattan Parker House Rolls Thick-Cut Bacon Chilled Oysters “The Duke” Westholme Strip w/black truffle butter 1/2 Black truffle Risotto **excellent

Great food. Loved the A5 and the crab. Sides were tasty too. Caesar was okay. Drinks were solid. We skipped dessert (which included cotton candy). Service was good- good recommendations. Curious though that nearly all the servers were male.

Large menu with fantastic options. The service was great and the loud music makes for a fun atmosphere. Although my medium rare reserve Waygu NY strip came out over cooked, on the verge of being well done. Everything was so delicious I didn’t bother telling the waiter. I will be sure to come back in the near future!

Best steak dinner we have ever had! My husband and I chose RPM Steak for our 10 year anniversary and wow wow wow it did not disappoint! Worth every penny. Steaks - phenomenal. Sides - phenomenal. Dessert - phenomenal! Everything was so perfectly seasoned. The flavors were out of the world. Run, don’t walk, to RPM Steak!

This has to be the best steakhouse if not restaurant in the whole city. Every single thing was absolutely delicious. From the bread rolls all the way to the dessert they didn’t miss one beat. Just to try to think of something I didn’t like because nothing can be perfect and I would say I wish the chocolate and chocolate sauce that came with the baked Alaska was a little more sweet that came with it but that’s not even a real complaint. Because this place is as close to perfect as you can get. Order with confidence and forsure stay for dessert. The donuts are so good that they should just open up RPM donuts. Might be the best donuts I’ve ever had. Can’t say enough about this place it’s forsure my new favorite restaurant in city. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Oh and they gave us free cotton candy while we waited for dessert 🐐

Made reservations for 8 pm. Arrived early, and waited at the bar for a table to come available for over 1.5hrs. Eventually seated, and ordered. Food showed up very quickly however, the quality of the steak was not great at all for the price they were charging. I’m not sure if they had mistaken what I ordered for another cut, or it was just bad. They did take care of it, so not all was lost for want.

Dined here on Labor Day and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The atmosphere, ambiance and customer service were terrific! The steaks are high quality, wine list is extensive and cocktails are top notch. All in all, it was a bit pricey, but well worth the splurge!

Very nice place. The server was friendly and observant. Meat quality and flavor was excellent. The steak was cooked just right and the truffle sauce delicious. Only gripe is that for the price, it only gets 4/5 stars as I have had better value for money.

If you’re in the mood for the “scene” this is a great place. The food is good, but looking great seems to come first. Our service was a bit slow or absent at times, but very friendly and professional when he was actually taking care of us. Prices were steep, even for top tier stakeholders. A low was that our Brussel sprouts were very over cooked to the point they were almost like potato chips. Steak was great and cooked perfectly. Bacon got mixed reviews from the table. It wasn’t cut traditional style, instead cut into cubes about an inch on each side. Two of us liked it but one of our party just declined a bite.

Top tier service. Took my mom here tonight for mother's day. The bison she had and my tomahawk steak were perfect. Lizzie was our waitress and she was very professional and nice. Definitely one of the best waitresses I've ever been around. Then we were heading out and got talked to by the manager Jason, I just appreciated everything. They all made the day special for my mom and it was appreciated. Highly recommend, and will definitely be back! Keep up the good work! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

An excellent option in Chicago for a great steak dinner. The ambiance is great and the service even better. We started off with the thick cut bacon, which might have been my favorite dish of the night. The 24oz dry aged cowboy steak was cooked to perfection and with the garlic rosemary butter was one of the best steaks I have had. The baked alaska dessert was good but a bit much for 2 people.

Beautiful place for dinner and date night. Also great for going with a gorupnof friends and sharing appetizers and steak. I recommend making a reservation ahead of time because it gets packed. The staff is professional and friendly. Definitely need to try it if you live in Chicago.

Took a trip to Chicago and decided to celebrate both kids birthday with the family there. Made a private party reservation because we are a big family lol. Got a room upstairs looking down to the main dining space. It was elegant and quiet and very spacious. Our main server was Jamie and she was amazing. She gave all the best options to try and she made the kids feel extra special. She did an awesome job. We ordered all kinds of appetizers and entrees and drinks. There was nothing we can complain about. We loved everything. We also ordered desserts and they gave the birthday kiddos cotton candy and cakes with candles. Each food was made to perfection especially the meats to what we liked. She was very attentive to everything and kept checking on us. Definitely recommend this place to anyone. I have written generic names of some of the dishes we ordered. Forgot the specific dish. Lol

My wife and I went with a few friends. The service was excellent and a great atmosphere, albeit a bit loud. The oysters and wedge salad were delicious. We split many sides which were all tasty. My filet was cooked properly, however my wife ordered salmon and it was cooked poorly as every bite was coated in oil and there was a puddle on the plate. I'd recommend to stick with beef.

I made a reservation in advance for my Wife and I to dine here for our anniversary, the restaurant and ambiance is very nice! However, the food is just okay at best. We ordered the 37 oz. Porterhouse and it was just not worth the money, same as with the millionaire potato, and the coal roasted king crab. The king crab was very fishy tasting and the millionaire potato had so much cheese and truffle that it really overpowers the potato. On a better note the thick cut bacon and the carrots were amazing. It was also disappointing that for an anniversary dinner (noted in the reservation) we were sat in the bar. Overall this isn’t the worst steakhouse we’ve dined at but for the prices they charge the food just doesn’t stand up for it. One thing I’ll mention that is absolutely ridiculous, is the 3% charge for “Covid related burden by the government”. You mean to tell me a place that sells $300 steaks needs to make up for a loss with a 3% fee? I would recommend trying Morton’s, or our favorite bavettes before you try this place.

Great place went for my sister's birthday. Food was amazing. By the end of the night there wasn't any 14k cake 😫 but I'll definitely be back for it.

The sophisticated ambiance welcomed us, setting the tone for an extraordinary dining experience. The attentive and professional staff seamlessly guided us through their Restaurant Week menu, showcasing the culinary prowess of RPM Steak. Each dish was a culinary masterpiece. What truly stood out was their extensive wine selection, providing the perfect complement to our meal. RPM Steak's commitment to making accommodations for guests to the Restaurant Week menu was incredibly gracious.

Phenomenal meal! Was lucky enough to be able to try the prime rib special and it was amazing! If you’re a fan of the fat cap part of a traditional ribeye steak I wouldn’t recommend ordering “the Duke” but it was still very flavorful nonetheless. Didn’t have a single bite I didn’t enjoy! And the baked Alaska was a very fun way to wrap it all up. Will definitely return.
