Cute, cool cafe. I visited in the evening, near the closing time. There were still a few people. I asked for an iced mocha. The coffee was very well- the chocolate had some distinctive flavor on top, not sure what. Altogether it was a pretty decent coffee.

I love Intelligentsia, all the workers are so helpful and kind and they always make me feel welcome. Enjoy a tasty latte at this cozy spot while getting some work done. It's always a pleasure to go in and see Matt, who greets us with a friendly attitude every time! Best coffee shop in town!!

One of the top places for coffee in the States Wish they had more desert options

Great location and tasty coffee. (Had Avena latte: stepped cinnamon, ginger, orange peel and vanilla in a Turbinado sugar simple syrup with oat milk and espresso, topped with a dash of cayenne)

It’s ok but prentious. Too cool for school type of vibe and coffee is over priced because of this. But my Americano was smooth and dark. Bring your own sweetener of stevia or raw sugar isn’t your speed

The experience here yesterday left much to be desired. The staff was not friendly and seemed to be annoyed at all the customers, the coffee was meh (nothing special), the croissants were cold and the chocolate one barely had any chocolate. The tea was fine.

Dope spot, love the revolving door. Really quick if you’re trying to get a great cup of coffee and get out! Also perfect if you’re wanting to chill for a bit to relax or do some work! Prices are decent.

Yes, all the words. If you’re in Millennium Park and looking for *top shelf* single origin coffee this is where you stop. This baristas treat the coffee with respect. Set up with your laptop and listen to the happy whistle of the espresso machine pull legit shots all afternoon.

I was debating between 3 or 4 stars. Location is great. Atmosphere not much, there not enough setting. And what they have is very uncomfortable. The service is okay, mechanical, plain, no smiles, connection, etc. I guess is what we should expect in a coffee chain..? My 16oz latte was really cold, the flavor was really good and the art also good. I could not do more than 3 stars.

I had a fantastic experience at Intelligentsia Coffee Millennium Park Coffeebar. We visited on a Wednesday morning around 8:45am, and it wasn't crowded at all. The staff was friendly and helpful, and we opted for the Burundi black drip coffee and ham and cheese croissant. The coffee was excellent, and the croissant was perfectly flaky and delicious. Intelligentsia is one of the few chain coffee shops that maintain consistency and quality across all their outlets. I appreciate their commitment to sustainability and sourcing high-quality beans. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by. Five stars!

The coffee was amazing, I even got two bags for home. The coffee is prepared by using brewing methods. I totally recommend their beans. The food on the other hand was nothing spectacular. Prices are not expensive for the great quality of the coffee, I have tried some of the single origin bag and they have one of the best selections of coffee, please use a brew method, I use Kalita 155 and 102, both are able to get amazing flavors and aromas. I will totally stop by for a dripped coffee and a bag of beans every time I get the opportunity.

Cafe with brewed-to-order coffee and the usual spread of espresso-based drinks. It’s pricier than most cafes ($5 something cents for a 12oz black) but they brew-to-order rather than having a container of the day’s drip coffee. Served extremely hot so let it cool off a little. The ethiopian blend I had was alright: floral tones, starchy aftertaste, and slight dry mouth.

Had an espresso on the way to a tour. the coffee was thick and nutty and buttery and good, and it was served with no time at all.

When I first visited Intelligentsia about 6 years ago while traveling, I was blown away. When I came back to visit, another stop was high on my list of things to do. As a coffee lover, I enjoy checking out Intelligentsia, key representation of third wave coffee in the US. This location was particularly low key, a great place to get some work done and get a break from the cold. I loved trying their unique seasonal drink and I’m so glad I checked out this essential staple in the Second city a second time.

This place is overrated. We were on a day trip to Chicago and went in the morning with the mindset of kick-starting our day on a good note. The person collecting our order was way too expression-less, as if he was just there to do his job as a robot. We got a chocolate/almond croissants and a hot chocolate/signature pumpkin spiced chai drink. The croissants were stale, probably from the previous day. You go to a cafe expecting fresh bakery items in the morning. The pumpkin spice drink was modest, nothing special. Hot chocolate was probably the only drink we liked. Will not come back.

Let all God's people stop, take a cleansing breath in, exhale slowly, saying Amen for coffee! Excellent coffee. My guy doesn't care for coffee, I don't care that he doesn't care for coffee because he knows since I write our reviews, "oh I'm finding a coffee shop honey"! Not Starbucks but a COFFEE SHOP, there is a vividly distinct difference (as I gnash my teeth). Before we arrived this was a place I wanted to go. The Baristas are sweet, lovable, kind, helpful & patient and know how to make a damn good tea latte. I also went Friday morning & the drip is grand too! If you don't know Jesus, you need to know this coffee shop. It may garner some grace to allow you entrance into The Kingdom🙏🏻 I appreciate you ALL! 😍

A Nice place with good coffee. Not my favorite one for sure and I wasn’t a big fan of the “mechanical” pour over. However, I would go back if I need. They could for sure organizing better the line and the pick-up.

Came here early on a Sunday morning, scouting coffee bars for colleagues coming in for a conference. Store was bright and clean with a soft industrial feel. Cashier and batista were polite. Avena Latte, with a smidge of cayenne pepper (!), was amazing! Reasonably priced.

Luna was at the counter today to take order. I was confused what to order. She very patiently heard my preferences and then suggested cortado and lemon sugar biscuit Both isuggestions turned out good choice for me. After me some other customer also thanked her for her cool calm friendly behaviour. Luna THANKYOU I loved the coffee n biscuit

Great third wave coffee! They offer three single origin options for pour over and even one for espresso. Espresso came with a soda back, as it should. The coffee was excellent. Their baked goods come from a nearby bakery. We tried the chocolate and regular croissants, which were okay (but we also just got back from France so probably not a fair comparison). Big space with nice art on the walls and chill music. Would come back.

Great location and looks like a lot of people come here. Ordered a cappuccino and it was bad. Service was bad as well and the place was not well kept.

Cute place with nice art pieces to reflect over great coffee! I got a cappuccino. Staff was very kind, as well as all the customers! Very welcoming place to start the day. There is space to sit and work or chat with a friend. At the peak times it is naturally a bit loud, just an fyi for those looking for a quiet place. I saw many people get crossants, I’m sure those are delicious. You are able to get a coffee to go or you can sip it from a ceramic mug.

We came here for an afternoon coffee break, and it was lovely! The service was quick, the prices were reasonable, and the ambiance was very laidback and relaxing. They had limited indoor seating, so we sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful summer day in Chicago. We ordered the iced chai latte, iced vanilla latte, and green tea. The iced chai latte was packed with flavor and delicious, and the iced vanilla latte and green tea were both good but nothing too special. Definitely would recommend the chai, and we’ll be sure to come back here!

I stumbled across this fantastic coffee shop by chance. Leo, one of their outstanding assistants, handled all of my requests. He was really kind, supportive, and helpful. From the outside to the inside of the shop, it has a nice interior. I did not make a mistake in visiting this place. So, thank you very much to everybody!

Average latte in my opinion, but nice staff, and quick service!

Overrated and the workers are smiling some days, and rude on others. The pastry selection is mediocre, I expect a higher quality of offering. They better get it together because Starbucks are opening all around then. I don't particularly like Starbuck ls but the other sheep will flock there.

It's a convenient location. Ordered a beverage that's on display on a picture ad next to the register. This exact beverage was ordered as pictured. Received something similar in name, but not what was on display. Is this a marketing issue? Is it the employees that get confused. Espresso, a sparkly beverage of some sort, topped with a bitter. That's all, potentially... I received an espresso shot mixed with a bitter perhaps... anyways, I let one of the staff know, perhaps manager, but not even an offer to remake it or anything. I went on about my day, but marketing or the staff need to get it together. Staff are mostly friendly. The lady working is such a pleasure and always greets. Convenient, but can definitely live without going to this location.

Pros and cons to this place! Its open pretty late for a coffee shop in the Loop area (check before hand though, their hours change seasonally). The ambiance is great, they have wifi and a good variety of seating depending on the purpose of your visit. They have outlets and the bathroom is clean. If youre coming to work here, the music is a tad on the loud side and its a fairly busy location in the morning. The location offers a good selection of beans and brewing materials to purchase. The con, the staff is not always the kindest. Each time ive come here, the staff taking my order does not greet me with words, does not look at me and i dont think ive seen smiles towards customers that often. Its like theyre doing me a favor by taking my order. And in comparison to other shops nearby (excluding starbucks) the prices are higher for your standard coffee and cappuccino. TLDR: if you need a chill place to work or ran out of chemex filters, would recommend.

I personally didn’t like the taste of coffee or matcha latte. Seems like a nice place but I think a little overrated

One of my favorite coffee shops in Chicago, IL. It's a pretty large space with some outdoor seating, but there is plenty of seating inside. Two rooms with slightly different vibes. One a bright brighter and has more windows with white walls the other a little darker.

Alright, alright…I’ll leave a 5 star review. We all know Intelligentsia is great. Apparently they did a lot for third wave coffee in the states. I only wish they would do more with their power. Still, they’re the last remnants of the downtown coffee scene and their baristas are great. If you’re reading this review try out Metric and Four Letter Word, too.

The coffee at Intelligentsia is always delicious!! This place in specific is quite small and very busy, but the service is excellent and they serve the coffee quickly. Definitely recommend it!

I always have a good experience going there. They have a nice staff and one of the best cappuccino I have ever tried!

They were very accommodating of our Vegan needs! 🙏 I got a Matcha Latte and turns out their Matcha Latte is plant-based to begin with 😍 I had always enjoyed Intelligentsia anywhere in the world ❤️ turns out they’re from Chicago! They said this was the second or third location? It’s definitely more grab & go city style compared to the Abbot Kinney location, but I definitely had no complaints about their menu.
