Went for the first time today. Small place probably seats no more than 15 inside. I ordered the tenders with the devil sauce on the side with a “bag o fries”. Food was out within no more than 5 minutes. Tenders were breaded perfectly and the portion of fries (which were fantastic by the way) was easily enough for 2. Only complaint was the sauce was almost a spicy Mayo vs how I like my hot sauce which is vinegar based. Nonetheless that’s on personal preference so cannot complain there. Great place.

As soon as we got into town and dropped off our bags then we found this place just a half a block up and it was a great choice! Being from Dallas, we don't have many hotdog options so we didn't exactly know what to expect. We ended up snagging a Chicago, a bacon cheddar and a hatch green chili with an order of chicken fingers w/ devil sauce. Each one of the dogs were tasty. The Chicago w/ fries first bite had my mind rattled at the way all the flavors came together. It was a lot to pack on a bun so it was hard to keep together but still no complaints. The hatch green chili was also pretty good but couldn't compete with the Chicago. My wife had the bacon cheddar and I tried some of the bacon which is cooked perfectly for the dog. And the surprise of the day came from the fingers! The sauce was probably some.of the best hot sauce I've ever had the tenders were perfectly breaded! You can't go wrong with this place!

When in Chicago, you get a pizza, an Italian beef, or a Chicago dog. I went with the Chicago dog this visit. Still mourning Hot Doug's, I just wanted a classic. They didn't disappoint, tasted exactly how it was supposed to. I could give this ish for no poppy seeds on the bun, but I'm not local so I don't have the right. Fresh cut fries were excellent. Definitely a good spot for a quick cheap bite, my order was out in minutes.

Had our first Chicago dogs here...pictures don't do them justice, they were truly delicious! Fries were crispy and salty. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

Okay, so this isn’t your normal “Chicago” hot dog place, but don’t let that deter you — Devil Dawgs is one of my favorite dog joints in the USA. Quality ingredients with tons of variety (steamed, grilled, fried) and some excellent creativity with their topping options and unique style. Hit up the other legendary Chicago stands, but this is a must stop, too.

The Chicago dog was good though not my bag. That super green relish is odd to me. The chicken fingers had good breading and the house sauce is excellent. Bag o tots are huge. All of the food for $12 is excellent. I must try some othes stuff.

Best hotdog in Chicago. This authentic Chicago dog does not disappoint. The foundation of an excellent hotdog is a solid bun and Devil Dawgs knows that. Amazing bun, the pickle and tomatoes packed a punch, the relish was perfect and the vibe of the place was upbeat and friendly. Would recommend and eat again.

Really cool spot with delicious hot dogs and tons to choose from. Tried the Chicago and Icelandic hot dogs. Both were really good! The Chicago was spot on and the Icelandic was also good, but not exactly like what you’d get in Iceland (small differences but still delicious!). Their fries were also especially good. Food was ready quickly and the employees were friendly.

We ordered the original chicken sandwich and spicy chicken sandwich, both with everything, a bag of fries and 2 cans of soda for $27. The sandwiches were good and crispy. The spicy was not so spicy but good nonetheless. The fries are your typical fast food type which were also good. Definitely something different and great atmosphere.

Great taste, simple, fast and fair price in my view. Definitely would come back. With the tip, coke, hot dog and chicken sandwich, 22 USD.

The dawgs here are really juicy and creative. The toppings are really unique and makes the menu fairly diverse for all types of palates. They also serve chicken strips, chicken sandwiches and burgers. We arrived here around 3pm on Saturday afternoon. Needless to say this place is fairly popular so be prepared to either wait for a table to open up if you’re taking out.

My first experience with a Chicago style hot dog and it was delicious! A bit missy and the inside was small and hot but I didn't mind too much. They were out of stock of onion rings which was a bummer. Fries were not my favorite but my husband really liked them.

Everything you want from a fast food, salt, oil, calories, and sugar. It's the type of food you crave when you want to eat a caloric bomb. It's yummy, and makes you crave more. The crew is small but they do great work and the line is always moving. Their shakes are delightful and so are all of the food items. It's not the best food on earth, but I've never had a bad bite or left mad after eating it.

Went to Chicago to celebrate my granddaughter’s 14th birthday. It was recommended I try this place. Now, I love hotdogs but should have skipped the relish. I know it’s not a Chicago dog without the whole Sha-bang but it wasn’t my favorite. The chicken strips; however, delish! No worries, when we visit again, we will be back! The place is close to a great parking spot (& cheap), the service is on point and - well - I didn’t say the hotdog was gross, I just didn’t care for that relish! We also had some slider that wasn’t too bad :)

Recommended by my local friend in Chicago, I have to agree their dogs taste great. But the best thing here is their chicken fingers and the buffalo sauce. Super yummy. Not too crowded during my visit.

Shakes were large and pretty good quality. Fries definitely worth it. I was less than impressed with the hotdog. My wife got the bacon burger and said it was good.

It's a hot dog shop, don't expect fine dining service there. That being said... This is, in my mind, the best version of a Chicago Dog that I've had yet in Chicago (said as a New Yorker). I stll don't get the concept of a Chicago Dog, there's just too much going on to really enjoy the "dog." But, this version has the tastiest relish I've had, and the sport peppers just seem a little spicier. I love the poppy seed hot dog bun. The "It's not a corn dawg" was equally tasty- green chilies, corn, mayo, pico de gallo, cotija cheese- elotes on a hot dog. Very messy but very tasty. If you have plans for up to 6 hours AFTER going to Devil Dawgs, DO NOT do what I did- chase it all down with a caramel salty pretzel shake. It was fabulous, delicious, and slowed me down for hours, enough that walking around Chicago's Riverwalk felt like exercise. Save it for a hot day when you aren't doing much. Pics of Anthony Bourdain are inside. If he enjoyed, I knew it would be great, and you can see for yourself.

Awesome hot dogs in a very convenient spot if you’re in the south loop and want to try some Chicago hot dogs. I was recommended the “not a corn dog” by the staff and it didn’t disappoint. It was delicious, just a tad spicy and veeeeery tasty You can sit there and have a fountain drink, there’s a bunch of sitting spots inside, or you can order takeout. Prices are reasonable, too

I had the Chicago dog and fries, and both were delish. I was a little skeptical with the relish, as it looks like it might be radioactive 🤣 but it was good. Service was fast and friendly!

Was introduced to this hidden gem after the Hot Chocolate races over the weekend. One gal in our party wanted a true Chicago Hot Dog, and this is where we were taken! The dogs and sliders were amazing! I also tried a taste of someone's chocolate peanut butter malt, and it was excellent! Will definitely come back next time we are in the city!!

Ordered the Big Chicago Dog and it was good. It had a little kick to it. Not sure if it had jalapenos on it. I will definitely return and recommend this restaurant to others. The customer service was good.

We were visiting Chicago from Austin so I HAD to get a dog! We were waiting to go to a concert, Devil Dawgs had great reviews so we went for it. It has a SUPER fun divey vibe, and they have LOADS of dog options. We shared 3 dogs & tots and we're super happy with them all! (Please note that they don't actually cut the dogs in half. We did that so we could share) Check'em out!

I needed a quick bite, this was that. Got the big Chicago and fries. Service was quick, food came out in enough time to make me think they cooked it to order but quick enough I wasn't waiting around. If it's good enough for Anthony Bourdain, it's good enough for me.

Was in there last Saturday night before my 1st ever away Lions game. Tried the Big Chicago dog. It was spicy good! Can't wait to come back to Chicago again!

Burgers were good, shakes were great but the fries were horrible soggy and over cooked 4 bags gone to the garbage. Sliders were small so definitely needed those fries. We went to fill up at JIMS notice the difference with the fries. Would only come back to this place if there's nothing else opened. Other than that eh

This is a great place to get a Chicago dog or slider. The bacon me happy slider was awesome, looks small but packs a punch. The dog was great to, if you like remoulade sauce (mayo base) then you will like this dog. My wife don't care to much for mayo but thought the dog with this sauce was great.

I got a vegan Chicago dog and it was to die for! The fries were also killer. The service was quick - we only waited about 5 minutes. There is limited interior seating but plenty of parking nearby. The decor and music are nice. Very reasonable prices.

Great hot dog joint. Many varieties to choose from. Also have burgers & chicken on the menu. No seating inside but there is a counter to stand at to enjoy your grub. Fast service, hot tasty food & a clean establishment to boot. Glad that we stopped to taste for ourselves!

Tiny little restaurant but big on flavor. Had a Chicago-style hot dog and four chicken tenders. The dog was good but the tenders were great. The tenders were on par with Raising Cain's tenders. Possibly even better. Less batter. Fingers weren't greasy after handling them. The dipping sauce (honey mustard) could be improved but the serving container was a nice large size that made dipping easy. Colorful interior. Friendly helpful cashier. Will definitely come again and highly recommend.

Absolutely couldn’t recommend this place more. I’ve been coming for 4 years now and the people who work here are so kind. It was pouring rain and someone abandoned their order so they treated my two friends who were completely soaked with free shakes. Their fall Apple Cinnamon Caramel shake if fire. Thanks again for such a lovely environment to hang with friends and eat something delicious.

The chi town slider(onions, mustard, peppers, relish) was outstanding. While not my preferred type of fries they were still enjoyable. Staff was nice and food was served fast. Definitely a place I would visit again to try their other creations.

I've been here a few times - I'm not particularly huge on fast food, but this is a great local spot that offers better options than the bigger chains. The burgers are like sliders, but are quite tasty, and you can make them a double or triple if you're inclined. The fries are my favorite of anywhere in Chicago. Just tried a milkshake for the first time, and had the chocolate monkey (frozen banana chunks mixed with chocolate) - definitely a fan, and highly recommend. You're certainly going to get your calories in, but hell, if you're going to treat yourself once in a while, do it here :)

Great dogs and quick service! Nice and fresh. They also have vegan dogs which were great too. Will definitely be back.

They are definitely the best place in the area where I could get a delicious Chicago dog. I went out to do some things and I am deciding on where to stop for a quick bite and this place is the first place that comes to my mind. It's been a while since I last went to this place and I definitely miss it. I was so excited and when I got inside there were a quite a lot of people. On some situation, I do not really like waiting too long but this place is different there is nowhere to go to have a delicious food just like what this place has. I felt relieved when it is my turn to order. The staffs in here are really nice and friendly and they are also warm which fells really great. I was so glad when I got my food. Cannot explain too much but their Chicago dogs are delicious and just basically the best. It is so good and the prices is very reasonable too. I just definitely love this place. If you are looking for a nice spot with great foodies at reasonable prices then I highly recommend this place. Do not miss it!
