Halloween diner at Boni Vino was excellent. The pizza is a must and the host is very funny and the staff very friendly. Authentic American-Italian cuisine. #staynorth

First time to Chicago and a passerby pointed us to this little restaurant. Great food and great service. We were talked to like long time friends and our lovely waitress treated our son very kindly. Very cute, old time decor! Lots of pictures of people.

Unique vibe for the loop. It's got that cozy, dated, red-checked tablecloth vibe of a neighborhood bar. I stopped in at the end of lunch on a weekday. It was pretty dead, except for people at the bar. I slowly walked up to the bar since no one greeted me and I didn't know what to do. The unapologetic bartender came up to me pretty soon after from the back and took my order. She seemed annoyed that I was there or that I wasn't a regular or both? Or maybe it was because I asked what kind of beer they had? I got a cheese pizza that came pretty quickly. The pizza was good- the sauce was mildly sweet with just the right amount of herbs. I'd definitely order it again.

Such a hidden gem… I work in the area and have a great experience EVERY TIME. Rose “@ the bar” has the best and quickest service in the city. Food is always fresh, piping hot and delicious. I have brought customers there and groups of 20 people and it wouldn’t matter. They can handle groups of any size. If I could give Rose and Bono Vino more stars I MOST DEFINITELY WOULD.

Great food & cozy atmosphere. I had the pleasure of being introduced to the son of the owner. Nice guy! Additionally most other patrons were friendly & willingly engaged in conversation as if you known them for years. Menu prices are reasonable, food is flavorful & service is an easy 4 star! A great place in every aspect & a must to visit again.

I recently had the pleasure of discovering this hidden gem pizzeria in downtown Chicago, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. It gives you old Chicago family style vibes with the décor and photos on the walls over over the years. The pizza sauce is unique and completes the pizza very-well. My complements goes to the bartender that wears multiple hats in the restaurant as your host and server. Always in a positive mood. If your looking for food during lunch or afterwork drinks... This is the place you'd want to visit.

We were next store at the Skybar celebrating a retirement of a fellow friend and I believe the owner of Bono Vino was stopped through. He bought us a pizza and it was awesome! I have sent friends in for pizza and they also enjoyed the atmosphere and pizza! I would suggest you give them a shot. They are open late and next to LaSalle Street Station.

Came here for the first time today. It wasn't busy and I seated myself at a small table since no one was upfront or said anything to me. I ordered after a bit of waiting. I had the eggplant parmesan sandwich. The bread was nice and toasty and fries were good. I couldn't help but feel rushed because the waitress asked me if I wanted her to wrap my sandwich and fries when I hadn't been there long. She seemed like she was in a hurry the whole time (which I can understand if it's super busy but it wasn't). I don't think I'd go back because of that. Customers don't want to feel like they have to leave.

Great local place! Red checkered table cloths and a very nice waitress. I ordered the buffed beef sandwich. It was very tasty but a little small. Fries were great! Colleagues had an Italian grinder and a hamburger which they said was great. Enjoyed the lunch experience, thank you!

Nice local place. The food was great. I had the 1/2 slab of ribs with soup and bread. The ribs were very tender, the soup was good. The bartender took my order quickly, and was very pleasant to talk to. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Quaint little hangout on the north side of the south loop. A good mix of regulars and walk-ins. Pizza is good. The main bar tender Rose is the absolute best! Always a pleasant conversation, and all the while holding down the bar single handedly with ease.

Wanted to give this place a try and won’t be trying it a second time. They had us in the beginning with the first impression ngl but as we sat down and looked at the menu we had noticed no options of drinks to choose from. The waitress/bartender didn’t even offer us anything else other than water (Didn’t really mind that though). There wasn’t any pictures to look at also which made it a little difficult so as we ordered my cousin ordered something she usually gets but came out totally different so we had asked if we can switch it to another food item and the lady agreed but was not too happy as she had lil attitude bout it. When I had received the check she had added the plate that we wanted to be switched out (even though she didn’t eat it) AND the check was WRITTEN OUT and almost certain it did not match the amount on the menu. I should have talked to the manager but we were in a rush and I’m not broke so I paid the written amount. I serve as well so I know how hard it is being one so I ALWAYS tip every time I go out to lunch/dinner but for the first time ever I did not in this circumstance. Very unprofessional.

My first time there was tonight. I dropped in to have a bite and a brew while I waited for my train. Little did I know that they were close to closing. Did that stop them from taking care of me? Nope! They were all out of pizzas so they made me a fresh one! I definitely wouldn't have asked for that, but it felt great to be welcomed in like that, especially since it was my first visit. I will be back...no doubt about it.

I was in the restroom and got stuck inside the locker didn’t open the owner came with a big knife to open it for me. I passed my card to the owner just to have a conversation with him he didn’t come to my table. The waiter was nice and friendly. Pizza was super hot nobody warned us that is hot I burned my tongue. They write the checks manually. The waiter didn’t know all the drinks they have and there was no drink menu.

They were very friendly but because I am vegan and my meal was ok and the salads were lovely and very fresh - the waitress thought my husband was vegan and even though he ordered sausage with his gnocchi, he didn't get it and no cheese so it was not what he expected so that was disappointing.

Been in business since 1967. Feels like a local neighborhood bar, but it’s in the middle of town. Great food, good atmosphere, Dale the bartender is sweet, friendly, & efficient. Would definitely come back.

The place smells funky upon entry. But I really dug the swank environment and atmosphere. Then it’s 6$ for a slice and a bottle of water. The slice I got was a classic cheese looked rubbery and tasted just like my elementary and middle school pizza. The cheese slid right off after the first bite, the tomato sauce is a lot in my opinion for a slice, the undercarriage is cardboard like. The staff (bartender) was super kind and helpful.

I gotta say that was bussin bussin, and Dan's son is the hottest person i've ever seen in my 69 years of living. Although Dan was really sexy. My Grandfather died so Dan can be my grandaddy. Dan, please be my child. Dan looked abbsoluty scrumpcets, so was the ravoli. I would eat dans eggplant dish, if i had enough money. I only eat 4 foot longs, though. I also would eat his sausage samwhich.. mmm. Dans childs 8pack was as tasty as a waffle. Dan/dans son should run for president, i would vote for my hot daddies.I need money and am willing to do anything for it. Anyways, dan, you should take me out to dinner. Lets say, Boni Vinos at 8 pm? Ps: Thank you for telling me mcdonalds had a shootings (pp)s: Im the kid who got ravoli on friday, my names alaina and trinity. Very good pizza at a friendly price! I had the sausage slice to go. I'm happy that they have reopened in the neighborhood! If you are in the loop and need a slice, I recommend you stop in.

Stopped by for lunch this past Friday for some pizza slices. Great service even though I was by myself. I'll tell you, the sauce was the best tasting sauce I've had in a long time!

The best pizza! Hands down, after eating Chicago thin crust all my life this is it! Despite the crusty old guy there this crust sauce cheese sausage ratio is the mofo bomb! #mofobombchicagocrustypizza!!

Dirty restaurant!!! We went to bar area first & it took 20 minutes for the bartender to serve us. Upon sitting at table, there was a roach crawling on a ketchup bottle. The owner a big dirt guy just laughed it off. This place is like something out of the twilight zone.

Fantastic Sausage Rigatoni and their dinner salads are a wonderful bonus served with hot, fresh bread. Server was very friendly and the prices are very reasonable. A little gem in Downtown!

Will never be a customer! Placed an online order at 6pm (they close at 7pm), my card was charged, then I received a text from the restaurant that they’re closed. I called the restaurant and the person that picked up said “yeah, we just decided to close early today”. I kindly asked about a refund because my card was charged from my online order. The muttered response I got was “yeah, just call and you’ll get it”. What??? He then proceeded to hang up immediately. I won’t make the mistake of trying to order from here again. Let’s get that right.

old school bar with large portions to share. decently priced lunch special. marinara sauce is on the sour-side, like a lemon zest or vinegar after-taste. it's lent, would have preferred a charcoal calamari but the grilled salmon salad saves the day. need to come back for pizzas according to all the sox fans.

Ravishing and babelicious waitresses. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious food. Sensual decor. A must-visit spot in Chicago. Tantalizing and sinfully rich and decadent cocktails.

No one had their masks on…. And they were racially profiling. The food was good, but the service wasn’t worth it. I eventually decided to leave once I review my food instead of dining-in.
