Visiting
for
the
week
for
work
retreat;
it
had
been
about
3
years
since
I’ve
been
to
this
location
(in
my
former
neighborhood).
I
don’t
know
if
it’s
just
the
weekday
“vibe”
but
overall
there
was
such
a
negative
energy.
Multiple
times
we
were
stopped
when
just
trying
to
enter
and
find
our
private
event
and
not
in
a
helpful
way.
It
seemed
like
the
entire
venue
was
closed
off
for
private
events
so
what
used
to
be
a
great
and
freeing
experience
enjoying
all
the
venue
has
to
offer
turned
into
a
sub
par,
restricted
visit.
Our
server
was
great
taking
orders
and
bringing
food
but
other
than
her,
the
other
employee
seemed
to
be
bothered;
even
our
server
PROMPTLY
started
cleaning
up
around
us
as
the
clock
struck
the
ending
time
of
our
private
event.
I
actually
wanted
to
show
my
coworker
around
as
she
was
visiting.
We
entered
the
(empty)
bar
back
and
we’re
ignored
until
I
asked
if
there
was
a
private
event.
The
bartender
replied
“yeah”
without
even
acknowledging
us
at
first.
Downstairs,
I
wanted
to
check
out
the
happy
hour
esque
bar-
we
walked
in
just
to
see
if
there
was
outdoor
space
and
as
we
walked
out,
I
said
to
my
colleague
“oh
this
must
be
a
private
event
as
well”.
As
we
were
walking
out,
I
heard
the
bartender
rudely
and
passive
aggressively
say
to
another
worker
“why
are
people
walking
in
here???!”
which
led
to
that
employee
following
us
out.
I
even
said
“oh
another
space
where
we’re
about
the
be
booted”
but
he
was
stopped
by
another
customer
with
a
question.
Overall,
a
great
space
back
in
the
day
that
had
potential
but
feel
like
it’s
not
turned
into
a
restrictive,
not
fun,
adult
Chuck
E.
Cheese
where
you
can’t
even
engage
with
most
games,
if
any
at
all.
I
honestly
felt
bad
and
a
little
embarrassed
that
my
team
from
around
the
country
had
such
a
sub
par
experience
in
Chicago.
