Love wiggly field. We take our pup there all the time and they love running around and playing with the other dogs. It's right by the El line too, which might seem like a downside, but it actually helps a lot to socialize dogs and young pups with loud noises and distractions. Our dog hated the train before we took them there, now they barely notice as they're used to ignoring it while playing. Community here is great, everyone is always nice. Just don't wear white, some dogs like hugs!

There were about 20 dogs and my little Piper had a blast! The other dog parents were nice. My only complaint: a few of the owners needed to get their phones out of their faces and pay more attention to their dogs. It seems like people clean up after their pup. The park had extra poop bags, water bowls, a bunch of tennis balls and plenty of trash cans. There was even a smaller, seperately fenced off play area for training, small or nervous dogs. We'll definately be back.

This will always hold a special.place in our hearts. About two weeks ago somebody had the nerve to leave a beautiful, sweet, malnourished dog there in the early hours of the morning. By the blessings of God, several people, including my son and myself, were able to help care for this sweet doggie and now she has a furever home!

First time coming here with a doggo :) so much room for the dogs to run around and the mini pools are great for the dogs to cool off in :)

Plenty of room for the pups to stretch their legs. It is all asphalt and gravel though, so it isn't the easiest on their paws. Dogs still have a great time; they aren't picky

I love Wiggly Field. It’s so well taken care of. The garbages are regularly emptied, the poop bag dispensers are regularly refilled. The community all pitches in and brings toys and tennis balls to let the dogs share. There’s even a “time out zone” for when your dog needs a separation break, which always comes in handy. I moved to my current apartment in Lakeview so that I would be CLOSE to Wiggly Field, and I’m so glad I did!

Wiggly Field is a great place to bring your dog, especially if you’re fortunate enough to be within as I was. Great community park to have around. I’ve encountered mostly good dogs and good owners there.

The only dog park nearby so you have to go but unfortunately I have encountered one too many owners who do not watch their dogs very well. Most of the dogs are great but some of the dogs have no basic manners training whatsoever and their parents are sitting across the park on their laptop or phone. Just like with any dog park you should be mindful of your dog at all times but especially with this one because your new puppy could learn some bad manners!!

It's just very Lower than average dog park. Hard surface, the constant train that goes by. Only time I go there is when I have no other choice. I wish there was just a bit of green space in there

Solid mid size park for a city. Good crowd. They have a time out zones. Thought that was awesome and funny since my two idiots need it at time.

Great dog park aside from the train being so close and so loud.

It's on the list of "top IL hikes" for sure -- you'll finally get to see all those instagram models pose of their pictures, big groups, couples, everything. The initial part of the hike is very steep but then it eases up. Another plus - a lot of yummy brunch places nearby, such as The Griddle (if you want to eat all the calories you may have just burned).

Nice dog park with 2 little dog pools and a pretty big area. Unfortunately located underneath the red line, which is extremely loud when trains pass through. My dog hates it and always wants to leave because of that reason.

Amazing dog park located in the middle of Lincoln Park / Lake View. We visit here every weekend and never had a bad experience. Plenty of room for the dogs to run and they even have a separate play area for dogs who need a little separation before joining the bigger group, great for getting dogs acclimated with other dogs. Only suggestion would to add some green-space (100% concrete/gravel) or a water area outside of the one water hose.

It’s a dog park - no perks or extras. I’d say this is a great place for larger dogs. If you have a smaller dog, enter at your own risk.

My pup and I love this dog park... no mud, plenty of space for pups and their humans to be comfortable.

  • 3/5 Bridget M. 2 years ago on Google
I was hoping for more with his park, but I found it loud (next to the red line CTA) and a bit smelly. There is really no place to sit for humans that isn't completely tucked away, so it is a bit annoying to stand and make sure you are out of the way of running pups. I don't live in the neighborhood, so I imagine it is a nice spot for those who do, but I can't see us coming back too soon

I love wiggly field, even when we didn't have a dog, we would stop and watch the dogs play. It's not great if you have a smaller senior dog who needs a slower introduction, but if you have a doodle that has lots of energy and is ready to run with some rowdy dogs, he/she will wear themselves out here. People are generally watchful of their dogs. Please pick up after your dog, keep wiggly field fun for all the pups!

One of the best places to bring your dogs to! Please don't bring your dogs here if they are aggressive and don't play well with others.

Worth a stop. It was smaller than expected but it made it cosey.

small park, tiny area for smalll dogs, parking is terrible during the week. ..... its okay

  • 5/5 Jim G. 1 year ago on Google
Plenty of space for the dogs to roam. Everyone was welcoming and friendly!

  • 2/5 Edwin J. 4 years ago on Google
In general, Wiggly is a very nice park. The owners are pretty attentive, there are ALWAYS dogs there, and parking is ample. The only real downside is that it’s not very sanitary. The park is asphalt and gravel pits. So under the best of circumstances (sunny and dry), it’s dirty. Under even remotely wet conditions the gravel doesn’t fully drain which means your pup will be stepping in urine and feces. My dog has gotten giardia four times from this park. The park is maintained by volunteers, and they work very hard to keep it nice. But this park needs a little love to make it a safer, healthier place for dogs.

We have been bringing our pup here for two years. She is technically a water dog, but practically not amazing at swimming. It's been great popping over at least once a month to get a bunch of energy I up and have her swim a bit. The best part is afterwards when she gets zoomies and we throw the ball with her in the play area.

  • 5/5 J C. 3 years ago on Google
Fun park and usually dogs there. There's also a zoned off area in case you and your dog need to use it solo at any point. (Timeout, or play with a new toy)

  • 5/5 Ken C. 3 years ago on Google
Free dog park, best kind of park. Friendly people and well trained dogs. Definitely recommend it. Pool and water stations available as well. I would say this is about a medium size location.

  • 3/5 Valery L. 3 years ago on Google
I like how it’s completely fenced in with two entrances, both with double doors. I wish there was some sort of landscaping aside from just trees cause there’s a smell from all the urine and the concrete everywhere. It’s a good size but it can be a little overwhelming for dogs since there’s only one area to separate the dogs.

One of the best dog parks in the area!! So many dogs and the there's not much dirt so they're not rolling around in mud and getting dirty. During the summer, they have a hose available for water for the dogs.

Good dog park with lots of space. There is a separate fenced area to give your dog a timeout if needed. It is very noisy with the train going by every few minutes. Lots of water in a big tub is sure to get your dog dirty. Also, no grass.

Ok for big dogs, but I was really disappointed to see the area that people say is for small dogs? It’s labeled a time out zone? If there was another area for the small dogs, it wasn’t visible or someone had the gate open. The area that my small dog was in was literally all just pebbles. I wanted to let him run around but he wasn’t very interested in standing in a bunch of rocks. Big disappointment.

It was so nice to see so many dogs, claying around running jumping into the pool. It's nice to know that you can bring your dog and would not be hurt by the other dogs. I remember when the dog park used to be a playground. I lived across the street from there and my kids used to play in the playground. Really nice to see people interacting with other people and the dogs.

I love this dog park. It is a large space and it is a popular park in an already dog friendly neighborhood. Your dog will find lots of friends to play with and you have the opportunity to meet other like minded dog loving people. There is a separate area you can cordon off shy or young dogs so they can acclimate to the main area. Whoever designed this placed kept the dog in mind.

Everything a dog could want. My dog is a little scared of the el train overhead, but I suspect she'll get used to it.

Great little park, with separate time out and training area.

  • 5/5 Anthony K. 4 years ago on Google
There's a really nice guy there who sweeps up the loose rocks and puts it back into the enclosure. It seems like the people who go there really have a mindset of taking care of the place and it shows.

NOT FOR SMALL DOGS!!! Took my small 6 month puppy there today. He’s been wanting to play with others and I was looking forward to this park after hearing about it so much. 1) The brown/red lines are right next to it. It’s extremely loud and not advisable for a puppy that isn’t used to the train so close. 2) Small dogs can fit through the opening under the gates when they are closed. Especially not good if the dog is scared. 3) There is no separation between big and small dogs. Big dogs rule this park and overpower any small dog.

The only dog park nearby so you have to go but unfortunately it is filled with many entitled owners who do not have any control whatsoever with their dogs. Most of the dogs are great but some of the dogs have no basic manners training at all and their entitled are standing across the park making no effort to ensure their dog is safe for the public in this public space. Just like with any dog park or public space, everyone should ensure safety by training their dog to do the bare minimum of being recalled and obeying a release command at all times. If a dog has not learned these two simple commands the dog, another dog, or a person can be hurt. If a dog has not learned these two simple commands at least some of the time spent at the park should be devoted to working on these skills to protect the dog and everyone else. The best and safest place for dogs who have not learned these commands is at home in private.
