Today I sat on a bench alongside this lovely pond, and admired nature, and was calmed by the sound of the bubbly fountain. There was quite a bit of nature to observe, both animals and plants. The field house is very vintage, but also very attractive. I took a class today there in silk painting. Loved it. The manager of the park was also helpful and friendly. The instructor was very good, Rachelle. There is a lot to observe and do here, and it makes for a wonderful walk.

Unique, huge park! Huge wooden structure with lots of levels, secrets hideouts, and bridges. VERY easy to lose your kid. Woodchip ground. Decent amount of free street parking. Adorable garden area with little playhouses. The splash pad is awesome and huge - But it's more of a mist. And it turns off for a really long time before it turns on again. This park is so unique and memorable We will definitely be going back.

Beautiful park. Really gorgeous grounds, and so many things for kids. My 3 year old loves the playground, the nature playground, and looking at the water.

I love this place! It's quite and friendly for everyone. There's a mini pond, a playground, tennis court, and field house from the Chicago Park district as well.

The park is pretty clean. Plenty of trail to walk. You're also able to sit by the pond with a small sized fountain. Portable garbage cans are spread out throughout the park. Plenty of space for volleyball playing. The real highlight here is the playground with over a dozen unique wooden structures to enjoy. Plenty of picnic tables too!

A unique favorite of ours. We love this wooden playground that often feels like a maze. In the summer, we also spend a lot of our time in the Bear fountains. We spend just as much time playing throughout the old hen houses. There is so much to do here that we end up having to leave after hours of fun before my kids are even ready.

Great park for walking and relaxing after work. Tons of greens with little flower gardens. This park also has little pond with turtles and golden fishes(not sure what kind of fish it is but they are orange). Today I was shocked to see these young people were fishing in the pond. They caught some fishes and poor turtles. One of them tried to remove hook from turtle after a while he let go turtle with hook in its mouth (he literally cut off fishing line with scissors). Please stop fishing in this pond, you are torturing poor turtles. I am pretty sure that fishing is not allowed in this pond.

Super fun play structure, all wooden, like a castle with boats and trains and things. Field house with bathrooms. Water feature. And lots of other little places to explore.

This is a very nice park! There's a nice playground which is unique in that it's almost fully wood. It's a pretty large park with tennis courts. They used to have animals and that area is now a wooded area with a fence around it. There's a fountain on one end of the park as well. The park is about one block by two blocks in a built up area of the city which is pretty impressive for a built up area. It's a great park to visit with children during the day.

A very pleasant Park to walk in.. I'm a dog lover and there are a lot of them around, however.. so that for those that are scared if a dog is running without a leash.. they aren't. The owners are very responsible, you don't see dog poop everywhere and you feel kind of safe walking there. A great playground for little kids and a wonderful pond with fish and turtles. There's also a bunch of natural flowers. Oh, and for those that like tennis, there are courts available. Nice neighborhood and it's fairly easy to find street parking there.

Lovely park in west Roger's Park. Shady paths for walking, nice playground equipment for kids, tennis courts, jet fountains perfect for kids in hot weather. The park used to have some animals, but does not any more. Instead there is an educational area for kids (I didn't visit, but it looked nice). The park is a lovely, small neighborhood park.

The playground is a little small probably to 5-7 years old. It can be bigger. There's a pond, tennis courts and it's a nice place for picnics. You can't bbq though

One of our favorite parks. The playground is really nice, very big with lots of games for kids. The water fountain is amazing during summer. And the park is great for a nice walk or short run

  • 5/5 Matt G. 3 years ago on Google
Nice playground and tennis courts. Tons of shade throughout because of numerous very large and old trees. There is a nature walk around a pond with an island in the middle. Beautiful park in a safe area.

Hands down, the most disgusting and decrepit park I have ever been to Aside from the rotting wood and large screws sticking up all over the playground equipment, we encountered a highly unusual amount of used feminine hygiene products on and around the children's playground. The park also has a smell like something between garbage and compost. In summary, I could not recommend this park any less.

I have been here for a summer concert and now fall harvest fest. This is a great park that attracts a wonderfully diverse set of Chicagoans.

To be honest, I haven't been here in several years. I did however take my kids here on warm afternoons so they could get their fair share of abuse, so to speak. My boys especially liked the huge fort they could climb on (and in) and end up with a bonked head half the time. It's a large park with a grassy field that's perfect for a family picnic or a pick-up softball game and if you play tennis, there's a couple of courts available west of the playground. You can also take a stroll over to the pond and if you're lucky, you might see a bit of wildlife in the form of migrant birds, turtles, frogs and other small critters. There's no bathroom, unless the fieldhouse is open from my experience at least, but consider yourself warned.

My FAVORITE CHICAGO PARK! You forget you're in the city when you're at Indian Boundary. The pond is delightful whether there are ducks or turtles swimming around. The flora is beautiful andi indigenous to the area. The playground is the work of the community and includes a "shower" in which to play and cool off in during the sultry days. It's an oasis in the city.

  • 5/5 Jessica B. 1 year ago on Google
The pictures make this place look huge, but it is a nice sized park. The playground is great and there is a nature like walk through with little cottage, it is so cute! The water area is cool too and you will get a good soak, but it is cement.

The park is nice, but my review is about the dude with the ice cream tricycle. He wouldn't give my daughter a napkin so I decided to leave a bad Yelp review. What horrible customer service. He had a whole roll of paper towels and he wouldn't give a little cute girl a napkin. I think he pretended that he didn't understand her?. I hope the management resolves this issue. Next time we come to the park we expect the ice cream vendor to be nice. Then I will give 5 stars!

The lagoon holds turtles and large hungry ducks and gold fish. On occasion, geese stroll the walkway. In the evening, nighthawks zoom just overhead, scarfing the insects that hover over the water.

Beautiful fish pond. The playground Is made from beautifully crafted wood. it's like a little maze for kids to have fun for hours. There are benched tables. And the scenery is amazing.

I used to bring my kids to this park when they were little. We call it the castle park because it is is shaped like a castle. They had a little zoo with a few animals the kids loved it! It's gone! the park is very old and starting to fall apart? it does still have the pond it remember with gold fish and turtles. I wish they would fix up the park not change it though.

Free park and wonderful for kids. Well maintained and a very easy walk. Cool water entertainment in the summer!

  • 5/5 Chris K. 4 years ago on Google
A favorite of mine for a number of reasons - they have a small zoo. They have tons of migratory ducks and geese using the waterfowl pool when the weather's good, and even the architecture of the surrounding apartment buildings is pleasing to look at. It may be slightly out of the way up in West Ridge but it's completely worth a visit.

  • 5/5 Carla L. 4 years ago on Google
I love how this park hasn't changed since I was a kid in the 90's! Now I take my kid here. She loves it! Truly unique wooden park.

  • 5/5 Joel O. 4 years ago on Google
This is one of the nicest parks in the city. The wooden playground is perfect for children to run around and enjoy. However, the best feature is definitely the pond. It is filled with turtles and many types of fish. In addition, there seems to be a huge snapping turtle. Awesome park!

Love this park! Great for walking and cycling. There are cute tiny houses the kids love to play in and mostly they love getting wet in the sprinklers and drying off in the playground which is really unique from all other parks locally. Not the typical metal climbing frames. It's more like a wooden castle or tower, inspires great creativity with their make believe games. Also love the duck pond. Overall really pleasant and picturesque.
