This is a neighborhood favorite spot to sit and relax, play with dogs, watch nature and enjoy the scenery, go fishing, enjoy the lake. There are a couple tennis courts. Though the beach part is now filled with large rocks to protect from erosion, the lakeshore is still loved. Fewer people and dogs walk the obstacle course over the rocks to the water but it's still done. I will add more photos later.

Tobey Prinz Beach, Marion Mahoney Griffin Beach (also known as Jarvis Beach), Hartigan Beach, and North Shore Beach — all great spots to soak up the sun and relax away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

RP Beach Park is my favorite spot to enjoy the sunrise and take my dog to play with the other neighborhood dogs. I love how most people say good morning to each other, and the dog owner community is fun and welcoming. The park is gorgeous in any weather as well, truly a versatile queen

Beautiful neighborhood beach. Tennis Courts and swimming. Wonderful for sunrises. But there's a fence keeping you from most of the beach due to poor construction and execution in 2018 that is falling into the lake already.

This beach is always great with a lot of couples, students, bicyclists, skateboarders, picnics and people walking their dogs. A wonderful hangout place ! Been going here for over 30 years ! 💓

Not much of a beach, basically a park with a small jetty to overlook the lake. And a oddly placed racquet sport court, which is almost always empty. A park enjoyed more by the local dog owners than anyone else (so beware where you step in the grass.)

Nice place to meditate and play tennis. Small park if you can even call it that. It used to have sand, it was the perfect spot to bring the kids but now due to rising water levels they just dumped a bunch of rocks and called it day :(

Wear shoes, watch your step and NEVER let your kids dig in this sand! Cute beach with a nice view but lots of glass and rusty metal in the sand both on and off shore. Also the concrete seawall is falling over piece by piece, so stay clear of the tall parts by the stairs where more than a foot of Earth is missing from beneath- you never know when the next one will fall. I do not recommend bringing small children because of all the sharp things mixed into the sand and potential danger of being crushed. 2 of these huge blocks have fallen this summer. So sad to see this beach deteriorating so quickly and absolutely nothing is being done to make it safe. Filthy sand hasn't been replenished or sanitized in many years like they do annually at more popular beaches. Great place to chill if you're in the neighborhood but I wouldn't make a special trip here

It's a nice park for walking your dog or sitting along the lake, but the only real activity offered are two fairly maintained tennis courts. The beach is sadly gone due to rising lake levels and erosion.

Beautiful place for a walk, bike ride, sit and read, what ever your preference! You will enjoy your time here. People are friendly!. The only down side is the public restroom!.. needs a lot of help!

Absolutely love this place!! It is so beautiful!! During the evening I was able to get a pic of the moon starting to come out!! And at night the rocks and water look so refreshing!! Definitely a great place to go and hang out with friends!! Check out the photos I captured!!

It's a hidden little Beach. It's gritty, in many senses of the term. Dog's are allowed, and there are garbage cans. The beach has plenty of skipping stones, and keep your eyes out for polished glass.

This is North Chicago area. If you are visiting from another city, don’t bother yourself to see the view. Better places can be found in downtown and/or North of Evanston or Wilmette. This area is most likely not secure at nights. However, if you live in Chicago, stop by to see the waves.

Looks like the beach area was filled up w boulders which is a huge shame but it's still nice to go to the lakefront

I took my 2 month old daughter here to see the lake on 7/4/21 in early afternoon (noon). It was the first holiday after the city of Chicago reopened during the end if the covidpandemic. It was very nice and chill and didn't start to get crowded until late afternoon (3:45p). I thought it would be overflowing with people, but it wasn't... although it may have been by evening. This beach is more like a park as there is a large grassy area where folks can stake out a spot, set up tents if they'd like, multiple chairs/ blankets and grill & chill or just watch the water. There are lots of trees on the north side of the park (which is the bigger side), so ample opportunities for shade. The parking seems decent, too. If you're good with a little walking, you shouldn't have too much trouble finding a parking spot. There were also folks swimming here, sitting & sunbathing on the rocks, and paddle boating. There is an enclosed basketball court, too. Folks also walk their dogs here. There is a short walkway on the south side of the park, in front of the basketball courts. The walkway puts you closest to the water without actually getting in it. This park/ beach is only 2-3 blocks down from Howard Beach, which is just as nice, but doesn't have any trees really. It's grassy and open sky with a section of woodchips. Folks swim & chill here, too.

It's a nice little park right next to the water. My partner and I have gone there on multiple occasions to just have a picnic! There's a tennis court and a few benches it's just all together lovely.
