We went to Lincolnwood Town Mall after a five year gap. Good goodness! I cannot believe this was once the burgeoning mall we regularly frequented with our kids when they were little. It's a ghost town to say the least. I know the past few years have wreaked havoc on the economy and hence a lot of businesses have been lost but when you wonder when you're looking at 60% of closed stores. Old Navy, Auntie Anne's, Hagen Daas, Kohls, Victoria's Secret, Claire's, Torrid seem to be the mainstay, and some form of The Room Place. Once upon a time, Carson Pierrie Scott, Payless Shoes, New York & Co, Zayles, The Children's Place, Gap, Lane Bryant and other name brands reigned. The food court had popular eateries (Subway, Sbarros, etc), a variety of ethnic cuisine and there was a mad rush to find a seat. Now there were hardly a dozen people there and no name brand takeaways. The beautiful holiday lights looked sad and lonely. It was heartbreaking to see. My husband and I reminisced about times we shopped for the kids, diaper changes, family dinners at Ruby Tuesdays. I hope things turn around for the better. Everywhere. Sigh!

Lincolnwood Mall is like one of those malls you see in a movie. It is also one of the cleanest and best malls in Chicago to hang out for a bit with friends or family. They still have events here for every holiday and often change up the display for where you and your kids can take pictures with a big backdrop and characters like the Easter bunny recently for Easter. They recently had a scavenger hunt which was great for kids. This mall has one of the best food courts of any mall in Chicagoland. (Ive been to all of them). People love the food here and snacks, ice creams and smoothies. They have korean fried chicken, classic american philly cheesesteaks, burgers and wings, an Italian place, A mexican place, a bubble tea place, Aunt aunnies for soft baked pretzels, Haagen Daaz, and more. In my personal opinion this mall also has the best aesthetic with the super high ceilings with natural light coming from the top glass windows and the beautiful lights draping down from the center of the largest height part in the middle, the small bridges connecting each side of the 2nd level, etc. There are a good amount of stores here despite over 7 or 8 vacant spots in the store which you barely notice. Best to go on weekends when its nice and busy as weekdays its pretty quiet though its never completely dead like some malls.

This is the closest mall to me - about a 8 minute drive - and I have lived near it for 15 years now (I am 21). I would rather drive to a further store than come here, if I do come here it’s probably for something quick and simple or if I’m bored. There is no name brand stores in here other than Victoria’s Secret or Old Navy. The next best thing is that the Kohl’s in the town center opened up a Sephora in it, but that’s about it. The Room Place is not a store I shop at, even though I don’t own a home, I don’t even see many people walking around there. When they removed the Carson’s and replaced it with The Room Place, they should have expanded the mall itself and add newer stores that people tend to drive out further for, such as Lush, Morphe, Ulta, Apple Store, Amazon store, Tilly’s, Zumies, or even better restaurants to eat at in the food court. If they happen to remove Kohl’s or The Room Place, I think the best thing to do is expand the mall instead.

Clean and wide space for shopping. Very safe to go shopping during this pandemic.

Sad to see this mall die. There are very few stores left. My favorite ice cream place is gone, and the food court is very sparse. I hope they bring it back.

This is a very nice and spacious mall. There are many very nice stores including paint n party which is one of my favorites! It's a very nice and very affordable pottery place with the cheapest things you can paint being under fifteen dollars! Most pottery places it's more like twenty five.

I remember how it was in 2000 to 2004. It was a great mall. Clean and safe. The best customers to rub elbows with. It still is; Clean and safe. Just closed stores. The American companies moving their manufacturing and support overseas. With it, the paychecks. Very sad.

Dead mall. No real stores anymore, just weird trinket kiosks/shops. I only come here if I need to buy something from a specific store. So sad, this mall used to be bustling and full of life.

Lucky I gave this place one star. I wish I could give it zero. Not many stores in this mall, which wasn’t the problem. The mall opens at 10 but stores inside don’t open til 11 or even 12. The store we were waiting for said it opened at 11 and the store didn’t open til 12. Please clearly post/state your hours whether online or in the windows of each individual store. This is unprofessional and and unbusinesslike.

This is such a sad mall. Closed businesses, not many food options. I go to Kohl's, they had some great sales for black Friday. I tried the new Cinco de mayo restaurant , it was eatable ( not great). The pork was dry but a good portion for the price. And the cashier was friendly, which is a big plus nowadays! There's a store called GIFT PLAZA, the couple that work there are very nice, and everything was half off. I was sad that bath and body works was gone.

Nice, clean indoor shopping mall with plenty of uncovered, outdoor parking. They have a variety of stores; their two "biggies" being Kohl's and (coming soon) Harlem Furniture's The Room Place. There is a food court with a play area for kids and 90 Miles Cuban restaurant. The food court leaves a bit to be desired and could use some work. There are also several services available such as a couple of nail salons, acupressure massage and, surprisingly, a dentist. There are also several unattached restaurants sharing the same parking lot including Olive Garden and Red Lobster.

This place was big and spacious. I came here because I want to buy a new dress for my casual party. Since its morning I decided to eat my breakfast in the food court. There are few people in the food court and there are a lot of vacant tables. I ordered a pancake and some hot chocolate for my breakfast. The pancakes were nice and soft and I liked the hotness and sweetness of the hot chocolate. After I eat I enter yo stores and look for some dresses. I entered 5 stores before I found a dress. It's a simple white dress that is perfect for the theme of our party. It is comfortable to wear and it has a fair price. After I bought it I went to the arcade and played some arcade games. I really enjoy being here. Then I decided to go home since it was afternoon already.

yes this mall is pretty empty but, hear me out.. i think it’s excellent that it’s empty because of covid, there isn’t a big crowd and it’s nice to just walk around minding your own business while being a safe distance from others. i want to go here more often because of the calm atmosphere (:

Love this spot! The atmosphere is always cool.p Nice melting pot of cultures too. I do have my favorite stores like Kohls, Four Seasons Nail Shop, Foot Locker, and Old Navy. I can also choose to mix it up. They have jewelry, Häagen-Dazs ice cream shop, and an okay food court. Plenty of parking all around and totally wheel chair accessible.

Too many vacant stores, we need more stores like some Toy shops or collectible shops at this mall.

I'm glad you can still walk around an shop these malls. I wonder why alot of products aren't marked with a price. It just seems counter productive to easy sales. You have to scout for a price reader. Makes me put products down and walk.

Donated blood here, the Red Cross nurses are all lovely and working miracles on a busy summer morning. 4 stars because I couldn't get a hold of anyone from management to ask where the donation site was. It's in the vacant restaurant to the left of the main entrance (Touhy side). There's an A-Frame and signs. Plenty of parking.

It is what it is but it's better then nothing. The Lincolnwood Mall is the reason we have so many stores and restaurants in that area otherwise it would likely still be an industrial zone. When there's not much else to do go walk the mall.

This mall has sentimental value to me because it was the first place I took my now 32 year old daughter to see Santa Claus. I hope that this location will add more nationwide stores to share the space with local retailers.

Shopping malls aren’t what they used to be. If they brought in more entertainment, draw more people more people means more money to the stores. Overall, I love the place. #lincolnwoodtowncenter

This is a dying "mall" and the VICTORIA'S SECRET STORE is horribly managed. Not that that's the MANAGER'S fault, since he didn't promote himself. Was in yesterday, to FIX a shipping mistake by VS and was treated like trash, by 2 VERY young girls, who have NO IDEA who pays their salaries and ALL the bills. After 30+ years as a VS customer, yesterday was the LAST time I will purchase ANYTHING. VS is also dying - JUST AS ANY COMPANY SHOULD, WHO TREATS THEIR CUSTOMERS AS AN AFTERTHOUGHT, INSTEAD OF THEIR LIFE'S BLOOD.

If you literally can’t go anywhere else and are banned from every other mall. Then sure, go here I guess. Like 75% of all the good stores are gone and there’s barely anything worth going here. Unless you wanna get a vibrator at Spencers.

I had to go in here to get some eyeglasses. You wouldn't know it but they've managed to tuck a nice little mall in there. Lots of variety of shops, open and well lit. Old Navy, Kohls, and many others.

This is where I go to get my sons shoes. They have 4 gym shoe stores all that sell Nike and Jordan. They also have a clothing store that sells cute women's clothing for a cheap price. Those stores are hard to find these days. The food court seems sketchy to me though.

Great mall! But please update your hours. came around 8:20 cus it says it’s open until 9 and only like three stores were open. Waste of my time. Please update Monday- Saturday open until 8pm!

Great place for family...needs more security though. Didn't see any security around. Saw protection for merchandise, but non for families i just sat next to a bunch of old men hoping they would protect me and my little girls if anyone tried anything...on this particular day there was some weird looking young man walking around with a bookbag...talking to himself loudly no shopping/ no ear plugs. Sure could have been just mental disability...but that though didn't make me worry less. I would have felt safe seeing security.

Good for quick trips if nearby, nothing high-end: the only anchor store is a Kohl's. They have a decent- sized food court inside the mall and various national chains along Touhy. The chair massage place is good for a quick fix.

It's definitely not my kind of mall. Could not find anything I was looking for due to a lack of store selections. Has changed a lot since its opening 30+ years ago.

  • 3/5 Carmen R. 2 years ago on Google
The stores don't have a big selection all due to Covid , but at Kohl's , Mulan, and Torrid do have Bogo sales going on.

Lincolnwood town center was one of my favorite places to take the children to when they were younger. However I have not been there for many many years and decided to go in and see what it’s all about again. Although I gave it for stars for its cleanliness I was really shocked and mostly surprised by the fact that most of the anchor stores have long disappeared. Some smaller stores inside the mall are also gone as well. The only real survivors of the Victoria’s Secret and Old Navy. So if you want to do some heavy duty shopping this may not be the place however if you want to just go mall walking in peace this is definitely the place to go at is it is not very crowded and you could enjoy a nice peaceful walk inside. I’d like I said if you’re planning some heavy duty shopping or shopping in general this may not be the place.

I've been coming to this mall for two decades and I've been shopping at 2 stores and they always have good stuff, NBG and Attitude, The mall is clean. There's a nice park outside of the mall, restaurants and Walmarts nearby..

My last visit wasn't so great, but today, it felt soooo good to be back here and to experience it with my kids now that they're older. Some of the shops are different but we really enjoyed our visit today.

Red 🦞 Lobster so this is a update on my last review. My friend left his cellphone and ended up going back to the restaurant the next day and spoke with the same manager about the horrible experience we all had the day before. From what Lugo told us he was disturbed with what happened and gave him some gift cards and seemed to really want for us to come back and give them another opportunity to leave us with a great experience. Looking forward to doing a redo for Lugo s birthday dinner Lugo was so pleased with the way the manager handled this. We were pleasantly surprised when Lugo came knocking on our door. He was so excited that he ordered dinner from Red 🦞 Lobster at came to drop it off to our home personally.😇🙏❤️ The dinner was perfect! No complaints. What a blessing 😇❤️🙏

Although it’s a very popular mall, management need to prop up individuals spaces and give more attention to businesses within! Most customers arrive to store because they walk by and see what’s in there not because of advertising from the management.

My #1 shopping center to go to. I'm happy to such an extent that business is by all accounts getting once again to ordinary after the isolate. I love the food court and the enormous furniture store where Carson Pirie store was previously.

One of the most versatile and classic malls in your area. 👌 They have so many wonderful shops to choose from and always so clean !! 😍 Enjoy your time and grab a little something to eat at the food court. 😋 😉
