Great Tamales. We tried 4 kinds. Beans, Cheese & Poblanos, Pork and chicken & mole. All were great. The mole is not Tex-mex so keep that in mind. Only major downside, is the price of the Tamales. $3 a piece is a bit steep they should do specials 2 for 5, 3 for 8 etc.

Every time I go here I enjoy it so much! Very hospitable staff, and delicious food for very reasonable prices. I love the Cuban sandwich and the Caribbean stew, as well as the nice variety of healthy beverages, to-go snacks, and vegan/gluten free desserts! Cute, eccentric setting. A real plus for the neighborhood.

LOVE THIS PLACE! It's so unassuming you might not know it's there, and it's not too nice inside so you might be inclined to pass, BUT their food is incredible. I typically get their nachos or enchiladas, but their sandwiches are also great. They have options for just about every food allergy, restriction, preference, or whatever--vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free, etc. Definitely try this place--just get it to go or have it delivered :)

Visited their local stand to get a taste of a few items. The corn was fabulous, the tamales had flavor but weren’t all that in my opinion. Also tried out the vegan bread which was amazing, and the chocolate cookie that was not as good. Overall would visit the main location to give it another go!

My friends and I always say we should go more. the food is so well done!! Super delicious and excellent! My trusty go to is the breakfast burrito and I have NEVER had a better tasting one! My friends get other things and are always pleased. Please give them your business!!!

We walked in with our (noisy hungry restless) children. A man welcomed us in and propped two tables together near the fish pond. The children were instantly captivated and us parents were glad to be seated and soon fed. About 10-15 minutes later our food arrived. Two large platters of tamales, rice, beans, various housemade gravies or sauces, and veggie chicken wraps. The food was delicious and healthy. The children ate without complaint!!! That itself will take us back. Wish we ordered some take out for dinner. Next time.

Our delivery came on time, but the food itself was very disappointing. We ordered the spicy chicken sandwich, and the fish sandwich, and discovered that the only real difference between the two was the condiment spread. Both sandwiches used the same unseasoned, bland, and incredibly chewy tempeh as the meat, which didn't work at all for the fish sandwich. It was more of an attempt at a gyro (with tartar sauce instead), in my eyes. The herb bread, which both sandwiches were ordered on, was fine. The barbecue chicken tamale was also unfortunately filled with a too-sweet sauce, and the same sub-par veggie protein as the sandwiches. There was absolutely no differential between the texture of the masa exterior, and that of the too-large chunks of protein interior. This led to a chewy mouthful of disappointment. The sweet potato fries were clearly hand-cut, which was a nice touch. There were some very tough skins on many of the pieces, but the spicy mayo provided did pair nicely with them. Overall, I would not order this again, or recommend it. There are far better vegetarian and vegan options nearby, in restaurants or the grocery store. Photo comparison of the fish sandwich on the left, and the chicken sandwich on the right.

This place is wonderful!! I am enjoying a delicious meal. Thanks to those who had previously posted, I decided to come. I was eager to try the West African Stew and it is so good!! The veggies are done just right. The stew is served over brown rice, and the rice is nicely cooked so that it's soft. The service is great! I am not a fan of fake meats, and the waiter immediately offered tofu or portabella mushrooms as an alternative to the soy sausage. The place is nice and clean, the lighting is very pleasant and the music creates a welcoming atmosphere. I am definitely coming back and look forward to exploring more options on the menu!! :) I totally recommend this restaurant! Right now I'm enjoying a cookie I bought yesterday when I dined there. Best chocolate chip cookie EVER and it's vegan!!! :) Can't wait to go back and get more!!
