While the food is tasty the prices are ridiculous. I went today and order the nacho. It’s a vegetarian/vegan restaurant that only has dairy sour cream. They don’t offer non dairy. Then to my surprise once the bill came, I found out I was charged an additional $3 for vegan cheese at the vegetarian/vegan restaurant. One small regular size nacho cost me $17.50. I also ordered a vegan shake that cost $10.45. I’ve been to this establishment before the overall inflated prices and they were expensive then. Today confirmed that I would not be returning. I felt robbed and not good at all about paying almost $30 for a regular size nacho and milkshake.

Food that pleases the eye and the palate! The ingredients are so fresh and you just feel good eating a meal at Munch. I am not a vegetarian, but I didn’t miss the meat. I love the restaurant’s location on Marion Street because taking the option to eat outside is like eating in a little sidewalk café in Paris or even Québec City. The staff was very friendly and you get a very nice sized portion of food for your money. It is cash only, but there’s an ATM inside for a fee of $1. Lots of reasonably priced paid parking around.

THIS PLACE IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Their food is to die for, the staff is super sweet, and they are timely. My mother is not vegan but she loved it and now can’t stop recommending the restaurant to anyone that breaths near her. Thank you for the lovely experience! <3

Munch was an outstanding local restaurant with fabulous vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. There is outdoor seating available that is pet friendly and the staff is really nice. Be patient, it's slow service as they are short staffed like most. Also, it's a cash only facility so come prepared but it's worth the effort!

I'm not even vegan and I really enjoyed brunch here. Awesome staff and very attentive. It's not a very big place, maybe 20 plus or minus seating, which is just perfect and comfy. But it is very clean and fair prices. The bathroom is unisex one at a time, but it's also nice and very clean. This place have true character. I believe wall art is also for sale. Beautiful staff, a delicious healthy meal. Plenty of paid parking that's about a dollar an hour. Unlike Chicago with that ridiculous 4 dollar an hour nonsense. That's dang on near minimum wage after taxes, insurance and other fees. But back to this food.... I found it to be just visually appealing as my mouth started to water. It smelled so good also. I loved every single bite of this dish. For two people our cost was about 48 usd. Plus 3 bucks for parking (1.50 each).

Amazing vegan food! I have been here for the first time and I loved it. I am slowly trying to become vegan or vegetarian at least and the options here are endless and delicious. Highly recommend you check it out even if you’re not vegan or vegetarian! We had the the Rico burrito and the vegan gyro!

Maybe I ordered the wrong thing but I found the food mid especially given the price. I got the mushroom polenta appetizer and the vegan gyro with a side of cucumber salad. It was nutritious, looked good and was cooked through but just lacked the flavor I expected. Good enough to finish but I probably wouldn’t go back again. The cucumber salad was by far the standout of my meal. Very attentive service and cute location.

My first time here, and I have a wonderful experience. Our server, Arie was very very accommodating, sweet, and friendly! Ordered soul bowl, wild mushroom polenta, vegan lasagna, and vegan brownie sundae. All were very tasty! Everything here are vegan and vegetarian friendly! This is a cash dining restaurant, so make sure to bring cash. :) Highly recommend for vegan and vegetarian folks! Will definitely come back again!

The lasagna was good. The ambiance was beautiful. They offer CBD drinks, which was a plus considering my dental pains. They have some interesting dishes on the menu. I will be back to try the beet burger... what? A burger made of beets? Yes please.

I got the hippy hemp salad, and my mother got the beet burger, both of which being absolutely delicious. We ordered the ginger smoothie drink and the mushroom polenta as well, and it was amazing. I will definitely be back! Edit: I came back! Got the mushroom polenta again, the beet burger salad, and the Mediterranean platter this time! All of which being amazing. The green smoothie was delicious as well 💚

I love munch and I am not a vegetarian. My favorite order is the burger salad when is available. They did some change in the menu in the last few months and last time I tried it it was not as amazing as before but everything is very yummy and the customer service is always great. Pay with cash only so remember to bring some, otherwise, there is an ATM very conveniently located inside of the restaurant. Very cozy and nice for a casual date or meeting with friends.

Excellent Friendly Service. Currently on a 9 day juice cleanse that requires Vegan meals only. I let the hostess know this was all knew to me. From her recommendation I tried the Guru Gyro which was delicious. I went back today for the Pulled "Chicken" Poblano Burrito which was Jackfruit. It was just as delicious. The chocolate chip cookie was a great treat has well. I plan to go here more often. Side note I am not a Vegan and really enjoyed the food here. The atmosphere is great as well.

I ordered from Munch about two months ago. I drove past them today and finally decided to post a review. The customer service was excellent. But as far as the food, it was not that good, it was plain and it was awfully expensive. I had the Amazing Black Bean Burger and a bowl of soup. The total was $22 plus tax. The burger tasted so plain. If you're going to charge $16 then it should be good.

This is such a cute place. Perfect for lunch. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and accommodated. Plus, the food was delicious and healthy. I have celiac and not only did the menu label items that were GF but the staff verified about cross contamination. Would highly recommend if you are ever in Oak Park!

Visited here for lunch after a long walk around Oak Park. It was quiet and we took a nice seat by the window and watched the world go by. The place is clean and comfy and somewhere you can just relax. The service is great, our server was really friendly and helpful. The food came quickly and was a really good standard. I'm not used to such generous portions (they're a bit smaller in the UK), but if you like a lot of food then this is the place for you! Overall this is a great little lunch spot for veggies/vegans and I highly recommend it.

Munch is a vegan restaurant in Oak Park on cozy north Marion St. My vegan lasagna was very good [except, I don't care for mushrooms and removed them from the entree]. My aister enjoyed her vegan tostada. We tried the vegan cheesecake with walnut date crust , not so good. Coffee was fresh and delicious. I recommend this place for veggies and non- veggies.

Tried this place out yesterday and fell in love! Delicious vegan food in a such a cute comfortable spot! I will definitely be back soon! Can’t wait to try all their food!!

I absolutely love Munch and its variety of vegan food choices. My husband and I dined in this week, and I was immediately impressed when Emma checked our vaccination cards and IDs; it was reassuring to know the restaurant was following local protocol. I highly recommend this healthy restaurant! (Tip: it's still cash only.)

Was in downtown Oak Park and tried here. The Vegan Gyros was excellent. Super fresh pita and veggies. The gyros seitan was better than I thought it would be. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Sidewalk cafe was great for a Friday afternoon in the summer. Will definitely return when I'm there again.

Great location of this lovely place makes it very attractive! Tables outside are perfect for dining in the open air during a nice summer days. I ordered vegan gyros and kale side salad. When regular water was initially delivered (in the nice vintage bottle) I asked for Pellegrini. After I was served a bottle I immediately open it and pour to my glass while glancing the menu. To my surprise at the very bottom of it I found small red letters saying CASH ONLY!!! My server never mentioned it while bringing the water. I never carry cash on me nor debit card. I pay credit and mostly through Apple Pay. I was asking them if I can Venmo, Zelle, Cash App… nothing.. they were still pointing to the ATM they have inside. I went to my bank where for some reason my card free access code didn’t work so I couldn’t pull cash. I need to drive to them again tomorrow and loose like 3 hours of my weekend just because they failed to tell me they are cash only, they do not even trying to help taking payment cashless way… That completely turned me down on them and definitely won’t be coming back. Yet the food was tasty and smoothie rich and decent size! REMEMBER TO HAVE CASH IF PLANNING ON VISITING THEM! otherwise all good! To owners: Please instruct your staff to inform customers about cash only thing up front and display such info better. I will loose at least 3 hours of my weekend due to miscommunication and not conveying the message! (this is the only reason I have to give you 4 stars only)

Menu is mostly vegan but some items can have real cheese and I think the pita had egg? Most of the food was delicious. The BLT, the gyro, the lasagna and the milkshakes were so good. The BLT had some garlic mayo that was just perfect. The nachos were disappointing. They had nothing that resembled melty cheese of any variety. They put vegan cheese on top but it wasn't melted or even heated. Service was mixed. The tables are also tiny. It makes sense in the limited space but made it hard to have a meal without dishes having to be removed right away

The food here is so fresh and delicious! I’ve never had a Vegan Gyro before and theirs was so spot-on, I had to double check that I was at a vegan restaurant. I also tried the Wild Mushroom Polenta and the Super Grain Quinoa Salad—both were equally as yummy. I will definitely return.

If you’re a vegetarian or vegan or just into healthy food this place is ideal! Cute, small, thoughtful food. However, as a meat eater who likes a lot of flavor I thought the beet burger was underwhelming. The beet burger is mushy. A grilled portobello, or Impossible burger with stronger flavoring / spicing / sauces would be more satisfying. The gyro was very good as was the salads.

I love the Beet Burger Salad! Nash was an excellent server. Munch should host movie nights...maybe on Mondays? It would be a fun venue!

We love Munch, we have been coming here for years and have never had a bad meal. Our server tonight was wonderful - Nash should be the official Munch mascot. Our favorites are the gyros and lasagna. Don’t sleep on the lentil soup, it’s incredible. We do miss the brunch though and will be celebrating if it ever comes back :)

Nash was our server and was excellent. I got the mushroom polenta and thought it was very good! My wife got the veggie quesadillas special and overall was happy with them - the vegan cheese included was slightly overpowering but would still get them again!

Dog friendly folks! I’ve been to Munch many times, dine in, take out, I’m own or with friends and every visit has been spectacular. Great food and service. Ask for Nash and he’ll make you the best milkshake of your life or he’ll eat his hat, says Nash. Munch serves vegan milkshakes using soy products in a variety of flavors. I had the chocolate peanut butter shake and no hat eating!

Pretty good food for the most part. Lasagna would have been great but I feel like the sauce was really acidic. Rest of it was amazing. Their burger is amazing, cashew cheesecake is amazing, soups are alright and could use more seasoning. The mediterranean plate is amazing and fresh. What I don't understand is why they have buns that aren't vegan and burgers that are? Overall food is great and I would recommend and go back

I went there today to pick up an order. Went to pay the girl at register said they only take cash, I asked the girl why they didnt tell me on the phone I'm on break. She said there is an atm right there for a dollar convenience fee charge. I told her no way and scoffed at me. I Went to the whole foods for cash came back and announce to her that in the future they need to tell people on the phone. With attitude she told me shes not the owner. I PAYED 22 DOLLARS FOR TWO ITEMS which is steep but I was even more upset cuz the food didnt even taste good like it usually does. Wont be coming here ever again.. STAY AWAY

Had a taste for some Vegan tonight and wanted my wife to experience this place. I ordered the Vegan Stuffed Peppers, Vegan Nacho Supreme, and the Vegan Brownie Sunday.... The whole ride home all I heard was oh my God this is sooooo good!!!!!!!!!!! Let’s just say she loves this place!!

The food was surprisingly flavorful. We were happy with our choices, the eggplant lasagna and chorizo stuffed peppers were outstanding and cashew cheesecake is a must try. Amazing all vegan food!
