First time here was on Mother’s Day. We came in looking for a table for 2 and they said it would be a 30 minute wait which was completely understandable given what day it was however, we ended up waiting an hour 30 minutes on the dot for a table. While we were a bit frustrated by the unexpected wait our overall experience was great. The food was delicious and the service was very good. We will definitely be back in the near future!

It is the BEST vegan/veggie brunch place in Chicago. They have so many great options and many vegan options or ways to make a dish vegan. I highly recommend their bottomless chai (on weekends) and we were so impressed by their waffle pizza?! It's wild but I will be getting it again. It gets real busy just FYI, the space is small and well loved so you may have to wait a bit and it'll be a little cramped but well worth it.

Lucy's Cafe has been on our to try list for many years now and we just happened to be in the area the other day and decided to go for lunch. We were pleasantly surprised at the large selection of the menu. We ended up trying the bacon burger and quesadillas, both which were very flavorful and filling. I opted for the homemade burger instead of the Impossible one. It had a really nice texture and interesting flavor compared to other places. We would definitely go to try more of the menu items and maybe pop in for breakfast one day since a large selection of the menu was more breakfast heavy. Over a highly recommend this place for anyone that's a vegetarian or vegan.

Second time ordering from here and everything is still incredible! I got a vegan breakfast burrito and it will NOT disappoint you! This burrito included beans, peppers, potato, tofu and the list goes on! The side of rice is so delicious as well! I haven't been inside to eat but their take out it quick and reliable! Must go-to breakfast cafe in Chicago!

This was a very cool spot with helpful staff. The chicken was excellently fried with a very nice level of spice. Good sides and milkshakes too. The decor and atmosphere was also neat with lots of album artwork on the walls.

First time checking out Lucy’s and I’m not at all disappointed. I ordered the raspberry French toast and it was just as I’d hoped - flavorful, fluffy, and with just the right amount of raspberries. The portion was perfect, in my opinion. There weren’t too many people there and only one server at the time so I understand. However, I didn’t get checked on, even once, during my meal. Either way, I’ll definitely be back to try more of their yummy dishes!

This place is dynamite! It's hard to find a good vegan/vegetarian breakfast place but this place delivers on all levels. Not only was the food delicious but the service was awesome! Can't wait to go back again!

ALWAYS a surprisingly delicious meal!! Though considering how many times we’ve been here and loved everything we’ve gotten it shouldn’t be a surprise. As a meat eater (insert shame here) I love the egg and cheese options that are easily removed and substituted for vegan options. The restaurant is so bright and fresh but also warm and cozy, and ALL of the staff are friendly and kind with great energy. Do yourself a favor and just go eat there. (In the picture is the street corn avocado toast and vegan chocolate chip pancakes).

First time here it was late afternoon on a Sunday. Waited 25 minutes to be seated. But once I ate my food I understood why. I ordered the Vegan Blackened Chicken Wrap and when I tell you I savored every bite. I also tried their Chai. Delicious food and attentive staff. Small space but airy. I will be coming back for sure.

Vegan Breakfast options - my experience at Lucys was good. Therefore I will rate it 4/5. Here is why: Let’s begin with the food: I ordered the vegan blueberry pancakes, Tofu Scramble, coffee, Orange Juice. This is how I rate the Food & Drinks The Orange Juice was unexpectedly a solid 5/5! Freshly pressed and very refreshing. “Tofu Scramble” with onions & mushrooms, was also pretty good 3.5/4 from 5. It tasted good and healthy; but nothing out of the ordinary. The Blueberry Pancakes were a 3/5 at most. (in My opinion) I have had many vegan pancakes in many different places and tasted better. The Texture of the pancakes were opposite of Fluffy. The moment I tried cutting the stacked pancakes, they were kind of mushed together in a big mass. Almost as if it were a chewy cookie. Perhaps it was due to a lack of backing powder. The Coffee was just regular coffee, but I have definitely had better. 2/5. Regarding the Atmosphere, it gave off a “homey” or and cozy feeling. The decoration was also friendly and comforting. Service: Overall, a good service, without reservation, we did immediately get a table. BUT! I would recommend reservations for this place, within a 20 minutes Later, the place was pretty packed! If you’re looking for a quiet homey place to have some breakfast and good orange juice! This is a good option. Their Vegan selection in the menu was ok. You will find it in their Menu all the way at the bottom with the title “Eggless”. Thanks for supporting the customers decision, to go against animal cruelty and offering vegan alternatives. For more impressions, have a look at the attached videos and pictures. Take care & Bon Appetit!

While the ambiance was very nice the food was subpar for the wait. The hostess gave us a wait time of "at least 20 mins" that turned into about an hour. So I was surprised when I ordered the combo that included hashbrowns and was given regular fried diced potatoes, no onions or anything. The gf, vegan pancakes looked great but taste overwhelming of vanilla extract. The service could've been better but we weren't sure how many servers were available between the patio and inside considering the host and kitchen staff came to our table several times.. Overall, the pricing was reasonable and off peak hours for a quick bite it might be a better option than Sunday breakfast with the girls.

Very cute place. Loved that they had vegan French toast and pancakes as that can be v hard to find. Service was great and quick and lovely artwork. Only wish they had alcoholic beverages and espresso drinks as we were craving those

We were in town for an event and leaving back home when we stopped here for brunch. The wait time was a bit long since we had a big group. Martin (the chef and the person taking orders) was very nice and made sure we were taking care of since we had to catch a flight. They are short staff so they service will be slow. The food is good! We had the Veggie tofu scramble w. Banana Walnuts Pancakes, fresh Oj and some other stuff (can't remember what all we had) but everything was seasoned very well. Our kiddos loved the potatoes. We enjoyed our brunch and we'll definitely return when we come back to Chicago! Updated: Returned to Lucy's Cafe today, good is still delicious. Food came out quick and fresh! Service was better than our last visit. Hopefully, the service and the food remains the same. Will definitely be back to eat!! 🌱💚

I love love love this place! I got the French Toast Flight (vegan) and it was mouthwatering good, not to mention a great way to try all the available french toast flavours (my fav was the raspberry)! My boyfriend got Combo 2 with the eggs fried over medium and soy sausage, I didn't eat any, but he said he enjoyed it. We sat outside which was really nice, our waiter was awesome, and I love that the water had a lemon slice in it. Definitely going to be coming here again whenever I'm in Chicago. My single complaint is the menu lol, it has a couple mistakes in it.

This place had a very comfortable, peaceful, homey feel. There was a bit of a wait when we first got there but once we were seated the service was quick and friendly. First I got the raspberry cooler, which is lemonade and raspberry tea. I finished that before my food came.. I am vegan, I ordered the vegan flight of French toast and the side of breakfast potatoes. Delicious!!! Loved it. (Good) Vegan French toast is rare. I also took the vegan Mexican quesadilla to go. Ate that later on in the day and also loved that. Served w a nice rice and salsa for dipping. Cannot wait to go back.

Lovely Lucy’s cafe is cute and adorable. Pop along for breakfast, brunch or lunch. We absolutely loved the pancakes with raspberries and avocado with sweetcorn on toast. Everything was tasty. Ace presentation. We wanted to sit outside but it was too hot do we relocated inside which was cool. We are in Chi visiting family. I would definitely go back to Lucy’s on my next visit. Enjoy!!

Sooooo delicious! My hubby is a vegan and had The Eggless Wonder and it was a wonder to behold. They are very understanding of vegans, and added grated vegan cheese and gave vegan butter for our shared vegan Raspberry French Toast. The french toast was yummy, with fresh raspberries, powdered sugar and real maple syrup. I had the roasted red pepper omelet and delicious potatoes. Coffee was hot, oj was cold, service was great on a Saturday morning. I'd highly recommend!

Great vegan options and very friendly service. Vegan French toast and avocado toast were both excellent. Comfortable atmosphere too.

People are good but very slow service on a normal day. Even a delivery from this restaurant take hours. Better spend your money somewhere. Thumbs down!!!

Seriously one of the BEST vegan brunches we've ever had. The staff was all very friendly and in a great mood. They have amazing chai and the blackened chicken wrap was unreal. They have vegan French toast which is a rarity, and it was so good! We tried the apple pecan pancakes as well, and I was on cloud 9. The meal was so good that I even forgot to take pictures which literally never happens. Basically, this is a must have and I will 1000% be back to try everything else.

Incredible vegan brunch! What I’ve been searching for 😍 the staff is friendly, and so are the diners (many are repeats)! Don’t miss it! Pictured is the Eggless Wonder and vegan blueberry waffle with vegan butter!
