Great spot for some amazing authentic food! Dolma served warm with red sauce. And you can get a flight of wine! Try the flaming cheese it is mouthwatering.

Really enjoyed pretty much everything there. Amazing flavorful food (I ordered Lamb eggplant tagine with couscous and lentos soup) and the sangria was fresh and strong! Even though the service was a little off; perhaps a little too attentive, or maybe a little pushy; their food totally made up for it! Strongly recommended.

I was headed to the place next door but they were pretty slammed so I decided to go to Andie's instead, and I'm thrilled that's where I ended up! I had my pup with me, who they were lovely about accommodating, and the service was very good in general. But the star is the food. Wowza. I had the #1 veggie combination plate, and chose spinach pie, dolmades, baba ganoush and falafel for my four items. In fairness, I've never had a bad dolma (stuffed grape leaves) but these were truly excellent. The falafel really sang too, with gorgeous crispy exterior, flavorful spiced interior topped with a bright, creamy hummus. Yum yum yum. The baba ganoush was delish with the warm pita bread, while the spinach pie was quite good, if a little less than the other items. I didn't love the Cabernet I chose, but it was perfectly drinkable and I was still obviously really happy with my meal. Thanks Andie's! I'm sure my pup and I will be back before long!

Try the appetizer dip sampler! It's delicious! This restaurant is a gem; it's been around since 1974. The service is great! The Tunisian Chicken is savory. The portions are generous; I will have to try dessert on the next visit.

The flaming cheese and other shared apps (one was a sampling of few different dips) were all delicious. The lentil soup was very good, but the chicken lemon rice soup was truly amazing! Our entrees - artichoke and goat cheese ravioli, and trio kabob - were the perfect balance of flavor and healthy portions. I enjoyed trying dishes I've never had before, and my Mediterranean-born partner was very satisfied with everything. The server, who also mixed our drinks, was very attentive, kind, and accommodating to our requests and needs. Other staff were also very pleasant and helpful. The dining room is spacious, cheerful and relaxed. Thank you, Andies!

The food was average at best. Meat tasted like it was pre frozen for some time. Everything was really salty. Soup was water with lentils. Potatoes tasted old. Nothing fresh. Great location, decent atmosphere. Restaurant looks like upscale diner. Not what what the direction is. Won’t be coming back. Food was rough.

Ate the ribs dinner, and was treated to something really special. There were so many vegetables that I asked for a big soup spoon. That, with the gravy, made me feel as if I were eating a stew, without a lot of juice. It tasted delicious!

One of my favorite Chicago restaurants since my college days. Flavorful fresh food made from quality ingredients. I don't think I've ever been disappointed. We mostly order delivery, but we love any chance to dine in- great atmosphere and drinks! Thanks to Uber Eats, I can still get it delivered even though I moved away from the neighborhood. Love you, Andies!!

This is a charming restaurant with delicious food. With plenty of options between traditional Mediterranean eats and vegetarian and vegan options, it has a dish for everyone.

Our first time here and we had a great experience. The servers were attentive and great. The place was clean and comfortably large. They have a lot of vegetarian and vegan options, which is a plus. We tried a few different items, overall a lot of food: Sprouted falafel starter- delicious Harressa Dip- very good Veggie Combination #2 - very good My partner had a meat dish, and he really liked it. Every entree comes with a soup. I had the lentil soup which was the only item I thought was just okay. Overall I definitely recommend and plan to be back if I’m in the area.

Good, friendly service. Good atmosphere with plenty of seating. Average Mediterranean food with a decent variety on menu. Would be cooler if they had more Greek or Levantine wine or inspired cocktails.

We took a group of 13 for a pre holiday get together. The service was friendly albeit a little slow . The food was as I remember it. I love the pita and hummus. We had a little bit of everything and everyone seemed happy.

Andies was a great restaurant for my date tonight. It had a nice charm to it. We originally were seated by the front next to the window which was pretty, but drafty. Not to be held against them, of course since they moved us next to the fireplace instead which more than made up for it. And the rest of the night, they offered great service and food. The lentil soup was tasty and my gyros plate certainly had more personality than a street vendor version of the same dish. Our servers were around regularly, but not intrusive. But one piece of advice they gave was to be aware that the entrees were going to be bigger than we may expect which held true for sure. My date had shrimp and steak kabobs and enjoyed her meal just as much. It was a great environment to talk at a conversational level and still be heard. Maybe it was a quiet night due to the cold, but it was perfect for us. Lastly, I was actually surprised at the price and how much value we got for the final bill. I've spent more on less food at a lesser restaurant recently. I think it's a great value if cost is a concern. I would recommend Andies to my friends and other readers.

Wildly disappointing for the price. I paid $15 for pita and a cold piece of cheese which I thought was a cheese dip, and my friend paid $30 for falafel and some raw veggies with hummus. If all this was $20- $25, it would be fine, but for almost $50 in total, I feel like I was robbed.

Just had an incredibly delicious meal here. Very much recommend this cozy little place for some super authentic Mediterranean.

Solid Mediterranean food. I had the lamb eggplant tangine. Great flavor. Wish it was cooked a bit longer to make everything softer. Don't know if that how they cook it or an off night.

I went here on their patio and absolutely loved it. The shareable plates are perfect for sharing with your companions and good sizes. The food is delicious! They offer gluten free pita bread for $2.50 more.

Really good food here, and they always get your order right. I’m basic so I always order the gyro and fries, and I like that they have an option to get an Ice Mountain bottled water with your meal. This place is a go-to for me.

Walked in to Andie's after like a decade when visiting Chicago. Food was lovely. Service was on point. The waitress came and asked us a few times how the food was and also got our water glasses filled a couple of times. Would love to visit again when I am in town.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and service is good but the food is bland. I ordered the Filet Mignon Steak Kabob and it came with a chicken noodle soup that was very salty. The steak kabob dish had nice presentation but flavorless. Overall, I think the atmosphere is better than the food here.

If you are looking for gluten free dining you must add this to your list of favorites! There is a tremendous variety, including gluten free pita to scoop up their delicious hummus. Quality is consistent, service friendly and the atmosphere earthy and cozy. I am constantly surprised by how quickly I'm able to be seated. This place should always be packed!

Excellent food and service. Matthew is always very accommodating and knowledgeable with the menu. The Salmon Salad was fantastic! My friend and I come here often and highly recommend! One annoyance is watching the server and food runner/busser hustle, while the hostess is facetiming at her station the whole time. Other than that, a great experience. Excellent food!

I've been here before a few times to dine in so I figured it's be easy for a takeout order. I made an order online and it said it was ready. I go to pick up and they tell me they didn't get my order. I had to show the host that I already put in an order on their own screen. They stated that the 3rd party site, Ritual, doesn't auto populate the orders, but it wasn't busy. So, they didn't accept my order and had to wait for another 30 minutes for them to make it and they didn't offer anything for their mistake. Save yourself time, money and effort... Just go to Reza's. Won't be back and will not ever use a restaurant that uses Ritual either. I also tipped on the app and regret it.

I’d genuinely have to say that the food overall is pretty good, from the lentil soup and fries, and vice versa. For me, the spicy chicken kofta kebab plate was a bit off for me. I don’t know if it’s the marinade or the spices that go into it, but it was unfortunately not spicy at all as stated. All those flavors going on (possibly marinade) was overpowering the taste of the chicken. Everything else on that plate, from the vegetable mix and the rice, was great! If I had to say anything overall, i’d make the chicken a bit more spicy. I’ll be coming back to try more items :)

Great vegan options! We splurged and got some wine, but you could do a very affordable & filling meal here by sharing plates. They serve family style. All the apps & mains we tried were fantastic.

5 out of 9 members of our party have food allergies (which we specified in our reservation in an attempt to give them a heads up) and the waitstaff were extremely disrespectful and unhelpful in navigating the menu safely. Our waitress was rude and passive aggressive, when we attempted to state our allergies and begin asking questions about the menu she told us to, “calm down, nobody is dying in this restaurant tonight” she then walked away from us without actually answering any questions. We were brought multiple items that we knew were not safe for us to eat. We waited over an hour for our food despite the fact that there were very few other people in the restaurant, then spent half an hour waiting for our check and ultimately had to go to the hostess stand and ask for it. We spent a total of 2 hours in the restaurant and spent significantly more money than our food or our service were worth, no one was apologetic about our mistreatment or unjustified wait times. I would not recommend this place to anyone, food restrictions or otherwise, it a was deeply unpleasant dining experience and the food was not worth it, go literally anywhere else.

Super nice wait staff ... Food was just... Not very good... There is nothing else to add. I wish I had just cooked at home. I love middle eastern and Greek food. I was disappointed. Won't be back.

  • 2/5 Kitty G. 1 year ago on Google
Incredibly slow table service. My chicken kabob was overcooked and bland; the only thing that compensated for its flavorless was a good tzaziki sauce. The hummus was good, but I won't be rushing back for it.

Loved this restaurant! I was in the area for a massage appointment and was hungry. I was craving salmon. (I'm a gluten-free, dairy-free pescatarian.) Andies salmon salad came up in my search, so I decided to try it. It was so good! I loved the atmosphere as well and the service was good too! I highly recommend this place and the salmon salad! I will be going there again after my next massage ... going to make this a routine. Oh, and they have gluten-free pita bread!

The staff couldn't have been nicer. My party sat for a long time and we felt very welcome and taken care of. I inadvertently ordered a dish with curry, which I am mildly allergic to, and the manager was not only very concerned, but also replaced the dish. Very courteous, the food was delicious.

Beef Shwarma: The rice was really well seasoned. There wasn't much meat though. The little bit we did have, was good. I'm not sure I'd order it again though. Lamb Shank: AMAZING. The meat was so tender. Like butter in your mouth Hummus: It was good. There wasn't anything special about it. Just solid. Would absolutely order again. Spinach feta pies: Fantastic. Wasn't too feta-ie. My boyfriend usually doesn't like these but he at 2! Which left me with one -__- Would order again Tiramisu: The ladyfingers were dry/spongy. I'm not a fan of them that way, but my boyfriend is. The whipping (or whatever that creamy yumminess is surrounding the ladyfingers is) was delicious. I could eat that straight. It was like a Cool Whip texture with a rich and creamy milk chocolate. Definitely ordering again

Ordered take out during the "great plague of 2020" (a.k.a. covid-19...) The food was great and more than reasonable priced. Cannot wait for this place to open. Great job Andie's!

Delicious food freshly prepared from wholesome, good-for-you ingredients, served in a warm, woody interior or comfortable outdoor cafe setting. The seafood dishes are some of the best around, particularly when grilled shrimp are involved. Our most recent waitress was a very friendly person who went far past that extra mile to help us have a delightful evening outdoors. She also mixed an excellent, large rye adult beverage and the red wine she suggested for S. was a perfect pairing. Our experiences here have always been superb, much better than at Reza's which is laughably referred to as their competition down the block. There is no contest.

Great vegetables dishes. The atmosphere is inviting and cozy , just how I like it. The service was great .At the New Year Eve buffet I was a bit disappointed , before I arrived ,I was thinking about how good the lamb was last time I was there, I really expected to see lamb among the meats and gyro meat which I had at a previous buffet at Andies. Overall everything was good.

I have ordered delivery from Andie's a few times, and I always order way too much because I want to try everything. The pitas always are hot when they arrive, delivery is usually earlier than expected and I am right to order so much because it is all so delicious. I dream about the baba ganoush and pitas. Will definitely continue to order from here and probably drop in a few times too.

Good service, great location, and nice atmosphere. The food was pretty good, but could have used a little bit of lemon. The only complaint that I have was that every time the door opened, it let in a blast of freezing cold air, which was not the most comfortable. Being able to reserve a table through an app made getting a table extremely easy!
