Plenty of parking. Large clean dining area, great for groups. Kid friendly. Music playing and tv on. Volumes were loud enough to notice but not too loud to drown out conversations. Can order to go or order for pick up. Big food selection. Healthy options and item calorie counts on menus Small salad bar with good variety of items. Ordered spicy seafood gumbo. It had really good flavor. Server over rice. It was mildly spicy (I like spicy) but very flavorful. I think it could have been a little hotter (temperature) but otherwise good soup option. Chicken pot pie. Also could have been hotter (temperature). The soup was thick and hearty with good amount of peas and carrots. Soft serve ice cream is free with any purchase.. a treat if you are bringing kids, you don't have to pay for desert. **** NOTE*** I gave it a four start only because soups could have been a little hotter otherwise it is definitely a five star. This is a come back to establishment.

What happened to this place? Staff is rude, orders are NEVER right. Doubt I'll ever return. Example: Was there a couple of weeks ago. Placed an order for pickup, ETA was 7pm. I arrived 10 minutes early. Asked about the order "It's not ready yet." 7pm. "Not ready yet." 7:10pm. "Not ready yet." 7:15. "Not ready yet." THEN she walks over to the shelves - There's my order mixed in with the Uber-Eats. Been sitting there for at least 25 minutes. Simply calls my name. No apology, nothing. "Is this still hot? It's been sitting there for half an hour!" Her: "No it hasn't." I pay and leave. Kids meal is missing the side and the drink. Mine is cold. I contact the restaurant to complain AND complain on the website. Totally ignored. So NO, I will not be back. Old review: Friendly staff, great food and free ice cream cones. What's not to love? Food is best during the day - after 9pm the ice cream is unavailable and the food is not as good. Pasta and meatballs are tasty, but they skimp on pasta, Cheese and sauce.

This tells you how delicious the chipotle chicken avocado sandwich tasted. I ate half the sandwich before I remembered to take a picture.

Really friendly people. Many people in food service have an attitude as soon as you walk in the door these days. But not here, they were very nice and kind. I had some new York sandwich I forget the proper name now but it was really good. The chicken pot pie soup is good. Try Cholula on your free vanilla soft serve. Mix it in and you won't be disappointed. Sounds crazy but I promise! Also one of the only places that still has a good salad bar!

Rude staff! I come here often for the unlimited salad bar but they told me it is no longer unlimited when I asked for a clean plate. If I had known It was one trip I would have filled my plate the first time. But I have always taken my salad first and then second round some of the mixed salads like potato salad. When I questioned when it changed, nobody could answer me and they were all Just so rude. Sorry but you lost a regular customer.

A week or so I posted a bad review, but now I want to make it right. So thankful that Jason's Deli not only replied to my post, they made it right. In this day, businesses don't usually cafe about a bad review. This is not one of them. Thank you for that. I over from here a lot and now I can continue to do so. Thanks again for your quick response. The food was delicious.

The food was really bland. The bowl I got wasn't as expected and was super dry and bland with no sauce or dressing like the description said. The cashier was super nice. The food was fast, but missing flavor. Just really plain.

Service has seriously diminished the past year here. If you eat here the food will be ok. If you take food out the serve it to you without care. Last time I came in. There was only one person in line and he was taken care of and when we were up the person at the counter said they'd be right back and we waited 15 minutes before we left. The person seemed to be a manager too. If the manager doesn't care how could you expect regular employees too. Oh well.

My husband and I had been wanting to try this deli for a while.Well it did not meet our expectations. The cashier was slightly rude. The food was bland. He had the corn beef sandwich and I had the chicken panini. He said his bread tasted stale. There was a piece of hair on my plate. Not what we expected. Will not be returning.

A lady in a green polo assisted me on 5/17 at 3:51pm. Her customer service was awful. She didn’t tell me that the board I was looking at was only part of their menu. When I realized there were more items, I asked if I could change my sandwich. The woman prepping the food had not started on my sandwich therefore she allowed me to change it. She hadn’t even taken my payment yet, but I could tell she was annoyed. Then when I started to hand her my credit card she pointed over to the other side of the register instead of asking me politely to step over to the other side to insert my card myself. After all of that, she put the wrong kind of chips in my bag and abruptly gave me my food. I’ll never go back to that location! People should really develop better customer service skills. The saddest part was I think she may have been a supervisor of some sort but it’s obvious she doesn’t value my business and she could use some training!

The chicken pot pie….. DELICIOUS!!!!! I also had the corned beef sandwich. It was good just be sure to request all lean meat if you don’t like fat. You get enough meat to make another sandwich.

I’m sad that I’m even posting this review because I loved Jason’s deli. But I’m absolutely disgusted and a little concerned. I ordered on DoorDash today and we got our food everything was correct and my sister and mothers meals had no issues but my sandwich which I was more than half way thru eating so obviously it tasted great but there’s was a long black hair in my Sandwich stuck to the cheese slice I almost threw up. None of us have dark/black hair so it obviously was from someone in the kitchen who prepared the food which makes me really nervous especially because of covid what type of precautions and measures are being taken in the kitchen. Extremely disappointed and will not be back at Jason’s deli oak lawn ever again. CHECK YOUR FOOD BEFORE YOU EAT IT

I really love this place's large menu and the outstanding quality of practically everything they have but I'm getting extremely tired of the prices on EVERYTHING going up by 20 to 50 cents every other time I order from here. We have been regulars here since 2020. The past year its been like this. $30 for 2 people to eat soup and sandwiches WITHOUT DRINKS isn't gonna fly. This place was a more affordable and tastier alternative to Panera and now its just another money pit.

I normally don’t give out reviews but If I can give no stars I would. Staff here are rude. From the moment I walked in the manger was rude staff was unprofessional. They should let it be known that the salad bar isn’t unlimited. Haven’t gone here since covid. Next time let customers know it’s not unlimited or make sure people can read the little Print on the menu or better put it by the salad bar so everyone can see.

Went with a party of 12. We all enjoyed our meals but couldn't wait to leave as the restaurant was an icebox. They have a great space for a group to meet but it consistently cold and uncomfortable.

They close salad bar at 9pm (1 hr before close). After staff makes a personal salad to go. Highly recommend south loop location over this one.

No no no!! Rude service, not okay. Secondly ordered 2 manager specials other than being a little cold one was clearly noticeably bigger than the other! To top it off I asked for extra butter & sour cream for my dry potato, they charged me $2. That is absolutely ridiculous. Very very disappointing

First time here and it was a great experience! I had a pastrami sandwich with self serve salad. Haven’t had a pastrami sandwich in a while and it was so good! Salad bar had a lot of choices. The staff was great they served me quick and with courtesy.

My order was wrong and she remade and was wrong again and which I said it wrong again she got mad and made me a refund and took the bag from me. Rude and bad attitude at 9:32pm.

Ordered 3 plain Jane baked potatoes last night, upon arriving home discovered we were given someone else's food, called immediately to inform of the mistake and was told due to the time that it could not be corrected until the next day and that it would be comped and it was. The problem is that the toppings were really skimpy, and whoever prepared the potatoes neglected to add butter and cream cheese. I would like to give 5 stars because prior to this incident the food has ALWAYS been good.
