So the food was really tasty. We had the Madras Chicken and Malai Kofta. BUT they don’t even give rice free. The large rice was 7.5$ and wasn’t even enough for two of us. So we ended up ordering two. That is 15$ just to get rice. Talk about tactics to squeeze money from customers. The pappad and raitha was extra as well. Wont be going back.

I recently had a disappointing experience at this restaurant and feel compelled to share my feedback. While the food might have had potential, the overall experience was marred by the owner's behavior. Upon providing some feedback about the meal, I found the owner to be incredibly rude and unprofessional. Instead of being open to constructive criticism, they became argumentative and dismissive. It was clear that they were not interested in addressing my concerns or ensuring customer satisfaction. In any customer-oriented business, openness to feedback is crucial for improvement. Unfortunately, this was lacking here. The owner's attitude left me feeling undervalued as a customer and completely soured my dining experience. I strongly discourage anyone from visiting this establishment. There are plenty of other places in town where you can enjoy not only good food but also excellent customer service. Save yourself the frustration and disappointment – look elsewhere for a pleasant dining experience.

What a FANTASTIC meal at Tava today! We were visited by the owner who was so kind to us. The chicken 65 was OUTSTANDING. Excellent food, excellent service (our server Sonia was amazing). Highly recommend!

The name says it all. This is first time am speechless. The food was amazing 👏, I could taste every single flavor in each dish creamy tasty fresh. I like the menu it's very nice easy to ready marked with 🔥 HOT or MILD food . The chicken was so soft tender and flavorful , Biryni was cooked good and full of flavors . The Mango ice cream made in house was so creamy and tasty not even baskin Robin had same mango. What a great job. The decor is also very modren and welcoming. Sonya was very nice kind, and helpful to take me through the menu .highly recommend. Deserves kitchen michelin star .

Do not go this place, there are plenty of Indian restaurants in the area that you can find batter or similar authentic Indian food. This place is overcharging too for everything. They include 20% tips in the bills without your approval and they don’t serve willingly, anything they do by forcefully. They take too long to take order and too long to serve. There are several places in the area that you can find batter authentic Indian food for sure. They are only money oriented. I talked to Manger and he was not even courteous. don’t don’t don’t go this place!!!! They don't deserve even one star.

Life is too short for boring food. So that's why you go to TAVA Fresh Taste of India. From the moment you walk in their doors you're transported and ready for your escape from reality. Mahima is truly amazing. She literally asked us what we liked and didn't like and personally made our menu for the evening. From the cocktails to the very last bite Mahima transported us to India. Run don't walk to this Gem of a restaurant. Molly Bernard sent & I'm saving you airfare 😉 *cocktails are pricey (so keep that in mind when ordering, but other than that fantastic little gem).

The Chicken Dum Biryani was awesome. There was just the right amount of spice and it was nicely balanced by drizzling on some sweet yogurt. The chicken was so tender and delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive. I would absolutely return to try more of their tasty dishes. UPDATE: 4/29/2022 This time I got the same dish but with lamb. It was delicious. Their Naan bread was great too. This is definitely a favorite spot for me.

Great service and delicious food at a reasonable price. The lunch buffet is a fantastic deal and if you leave hungry it's your own fault. The menu is very well marked for anyone needing gluten free or vegan options and the options themselves are endless.

Food is actually very spicy and very tasty. You have to know what to order, because you could end up with a lot of food to take home. I plan to return with friends.

Took almost 3 hours to get my food. They ignored phone calls and did not tell their customers they were behind. There was a huge line out the door. Worst customer service ever. What a disaster.

This restaurant is my preferred one. I go to plenty of restaurants but here I go the most. The crew is very chummy and the cuisine they serve is so appetizing. I never decline to have a good meal here. Highly recommended.

We love to go out. Last night we found this superb place which we didn’t know before. We enjoyed a delightful evening there with exceptional meal and an efficient crew and a distinguished chief cook. We added this fine restaurant in our phone list and we will certainly come back soon. We highly recommend.

Quick lunch buffet with plenty of options.

Attended an office gathering party during lunch buffet hour. Liked the choice of delicious Indian food. They have fresh salad bar, fresh fruits. and sautéd vegetables as added bonus. I liked the sauted vegetables. The butter chicken curry and goat curry were well done. Overall liked the mix of vegetarian and non-veg items. The place is worth visiting compared to going to Devon ave. Don’t try their coffee, not the Indian filtered coffee I was expecting for $3. I will try their tea next time.

I've been going to Tava for a year and loving it each time, so I owe him a great review. Food is impeccable (even my extremely picky kids love it) and service is phenomenal. Food does take a while to arrive, but it is obviously made from scratch and is worth the wait. Garlic naan is addictive, so are the sauces. Highly recommended!

I’ve been coming here off and on for 12 years. Used to live in Skokie, now live in the city. I can say with certainty this is hands down the best Indian restaurant in the greater Chicagoland area. Their spice game, on point. The ingredients, beyond fresh. Give these people your money!

Food is great! The chicken troika salaam is super creamy and bomb. Ask for Fain to be your server. He's attentive and makes the overall food experience better with his brightening conversations.

Tried Indian cuisine for the first time ever and it was DELICIOUS!! Aware that I was unfamiliar with the menu, the server was VERY helpful with suggestions. The food is pretty pricey for the portions given but I would still go back because the food was really good!!!

The items were relatively pricey, but the high quality of the restaurant was clearly represented by each dish. On a prior visit I ordered Bhindi Masalla, vegetable pakora and chicken tikka masala that were just average. I have not had a chance to dine in the restaurant yet.

This place is amazing, they have different variety of delicious food, lamb beryani is my favorite! The place is clean, the service is great. The reason why I am giving 4 stars is because they are pricey. You can always place one order and it will be enough for two people.

Incredible! Huge variety of choices for everyone. Consistently high quality, Large portions. Great atmosphere with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Yeah, you may pay a little more but it is far and away a tremendous value for the experience. Always a great meal, and another the next day.

Tava is simply the best. Tried many other, highly rated, restaurants but there is no comparison. All other tastes like cooking at home using paste from the jar.... Tava has so many flavors. Their tikka masala, Madras or curry cannot be beaten. They have had their better and worse days but I can honestly say - Tava has never disappointed us. Keep doing your great job.

I really love the service. that stuck out to me more. the employees made sure my cup of water was filled. they are respectable. and this is desi run but its not treated like the average desi resteraunt.
