Great trusting food - was still hot and firm even though we ordered delivery. I love the Mysore Doasa by wife loves the behl. I find it trashy as does my wife but some bites were a little spice so ask for mild if you cant handle....lol. Pakoras are great and Roti's taste homemade! Pain puri is good as well. Dal Tadka and dal makhani were great. Overall, great Indian food if you are ok with veterans options.

Frozen peas for pani puri. Spoiled potatoe curry. Really cold peas and unpleasant taste of chaat. Anybody reading this review should know this place is not serving fresh food. They freeze it from their catering business and serve to dine in customers. From my experience this place is unhygienic an I should have never gone, I hope y’all will read before you step in this place.

A good indian restaurant with decent food. The taste is good and aunthentic to indian foods. The service is not as expected. There are not a lot of waiters and you have to wait to get things done. The price is moderate and worth the money. The medhu vada is really amazing here. Crisp and soft served with sambar and chutney.

Excellent Indian food. We had pani puri, idli, vada, veg biryani and malai kofta. Everything was flavorful and well seasoned. The idlis were soft and fluffy. The vada was perfect- crunchy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. The coconut chutney and sambar were both excellent as well! Our server was kind, and our food arrived quickly. We will definitely come back in the future!

Tried papdi chat, dahi vada, puri bhaji and thandai. Chats and puri were good but disappointed with Thadai. Expected it be creamy with almonds but it was watery milk 😐

Food is ok, service is less than ok. Order samosa chatt, and the potatoes smelled sour the minute I cracked it open. Samosas were definitely ATLEAST 1 week old. Sent it back and the chef from the back DIDNT EVEN acknowledge it, apologize or offer something to make up for it. Rest of the dishes were ok, not amazing. So many better south Indian restaurants in Schaumburg. Not recommending this place.

We went to this restaurant recently and really liked the food. It’s a vegetarian restaurant. Excellent customer service and very good variety. Food was very tasty. We tried dahi puri, vada pav, paneer paratha, dosas and chai. It’s on the busy street and parking can be a challenge if you go during the rush hour.

They have a large menu and the food comes out fast and tasty. The menu offers a variety of options from throughout India, which is great if you’re looking to eat foods from different regions of India. I especially pleased with the vada-pav and the samosa chaat. This is one of the better restaurants on Devon and the pricing isn’t too bad. Parking is a pain, but that’s the case for all of the surrounding places as well.

I truly felt I was in India .The food was very delicious and was customized according to our taste with good music.... I recommend everyone who wants spicy food (but needs to ask for it) The hot sauce (garlic chutney )was cherry on cake )

We love their Indian food preparation. All dishes are yummy. We had catered Dahi Vada from the restaurant and it was a super hit dish in our party

Uru Swati in Devon-Chicago is a great place to visit for those looking for vegetarian options. It's conveniently located close to Patel Brothers, making it easy to find. The restaurant has a nice ambience and is clean, which adds to the dining experience. We ordered the biryani, but it wasn't particularly great and would recommend the owners to work on the same. However as we were full and ordered only one dish therefore we plan to visit again in the future to write a more detailed review. Overall Uru Swati is worth checking out for its vegetarian options and pleasant atmosphere.

Made a long drive to try, it was good! Chaat was a bit lackluster but Undhiyu was pretty nostalgic, Aalo paratha kept it's promise! Pretty great Gujarati food on the other side of the globe, loved the staff!

The vegetables are not overcooked, nothing is too oily, everything from the curries to the breads to the East Indian specialties is delicious. Service is very attentive. Bollywood screens show dance numbers on several sides (not loud).

Dahi puri was the worst I’ve ever had! The kheer was great but for some reason this basically ready made dish took along time to come to the table and once it came even tho we wanted to order more food no one came to our table to ask how was the food or if we needed n anything so we paid and left even tho I counted 5 people behind the line working. I do like the set up and decor, I also love the Indian tv being broadcasted to the customers.

The food is good. We had masala dosa, malai kofta, dal vada, paper sada vada, although the dosas were the best. However, the sambar does not look/taste like South Indian. They only have sambar and coconut chutney. No tomato chutney. The service is the worst part of this place. Horrible service. They barely take care of their guests and even before 21:30 (close time) they start turning off lights and pressuring you to leave the place.

If you have never tried Indian Street food like Samosa Chaat, Paav bhaaji or Aaloo Paratha. Please visit Uru-Swati. I have been at this place, couple of times now and have absolutely loved their dishes. Also the servers here are very friendly, attentive and respectful and the food they serve, is also decorated very thoughtfully. Cleanliness and Hygiene wise also this restaurant stands out. I would recommend this place without any doubt and would like to say; come out and grab a dosa or a dish of samosa chaat at Uru-Swati.

Just ordered vegetable uttapam through uber eats, the sambhar tasted like it was rotten. Health officials need to pay a visit to this restaurant.

Disappointing food. Service was slow because the restaurant was fairly busy, but it took them 20 minutes to make chai! Dosa was bland and not properly crisped, uttapam was substandard, dahi puri was poor quality...in general, the food was under spiced and under salted. No recommended.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in all of Chicago. I dream about the Dahi Bhata Puri and Malai Kofta. And watching Bollywood videos while we eat just makes me happy. I highly recommend spending some time here.
