Dear owners, You must taste your food. I did not mind the eclectic interior and some sticky surfaces. But after tasting your vegan ramen and beef pho I'm not sure what your strength is. Both soups were served cold. Both were bland with a hint of 5 Spice. Both were $10. Neither tasted anything like the dish we expected to receive. The vegan ramen was a nearly flavorless broth with a lot of overcooked noodles, some corn, deep fried mushrooms, and a few other decorations. The beef pho was probably closer to a Cup Noodles but with no salt. And with overcooked noodles. The beef looked previously frozen, slices sticking together in a wad. Although we ordered for dining in, we took our full portions to go and heated/seasoned them in our kitchen. Giving up?

I ordered the bon bon chicken + rice & Korean Philly cheesesteak. The cheesesteak was absolutely delicious. It was an explosion of flavors, sweet, savory, spicy, and not dry at all. The bon bon chicken, on the other hand, was very bland and underwhelming, but it looked amazing in appearance. They are extremely affordable and don't skimp out on portions. However, my partner said his stomach felt slightly upset after. Mixed feelings. Check them out and decide for yourself:)

Okay what is up with this place?? Every time I come here its worst and worst. The Korean Beef Bento box had dried up beef and fried Shau Mai. Super gross. And their egg rolls are fried in lard... you can taste it. Not to mention their Vegan Pho is tasteless Luke warm broth. I don't understand how this place is busy?! Go across the street the Thai place is better.

Love the spring rolls here. The chicken is good, fried egg rolls and boba tea are fantastic as well as the fries. Prices are reasonable, food is great. Take it from someone who was born in HoChiMin city, (Dad was a Marine) food is authentic Vietnamese.

Beef pho was disgusting...the broth tasted like hot dish water grease bubbles over entire bowl. The beef was old probably yesterday's had a funky taste. Onions cut wrong. The noodles were even wrong. I have eaten 1000s Of bowls of pho In last 40 years absolutely the worst. I hope I don't get sick!@@#$%%^^&

Totally loved the taste, the place, the price-satisfaction outcome but I think they might be able to add some more vegan options to their menu. They have a couple but it feels like they van do way better. Even though it's a pretty nice culinary experience

I've eaten at the restaurant because it's convenient and it's pretty hard to screw up pho even though on a number of occasions the place was filthy with empty tables sitting unbussed for hours. Maybe they are more cognizant of their dine-in clientele than delivery because we just ordered delivery and it was absolutely atrocious. If I had been at the restaurant I surely would have returned but what's one to do with delivery? We're at their mercy aren't we? Our only recourse is to write a review and never order from there again (or go back). The pho was really bad which takes a level of talent to make something so simple taste so bad. Honestly, I'm not totally convinced that somebody didn't just think it would be easier to use old dishwater for broth - a model of efficiency and kills two birds with one stone! If your susceptible to communicable diseases, have a weak constitution or like good food, do yourself a favor and stay away.

Service: ok Food: ok I ordered the Korean wings, bubble tea and chicken pho, good but not great. After not eating all day and running errands I wound up in the neighborhood.. tried to go Handle Bar but was told it was an hour wait. My stomach was growling and needed food ASAP. I went down the street and to Bon Bon and dined in. I was very excited to try a new place and eat food for the first time that day ~2pm. However the food was nothing to brag about and I thought it was a little bland and lacked flavor. Little discouraged.

Kept passing by and seeing onigiri (Japanese rice balls) on the window and finally decided to come in. They got vegan options! I messed up picking up my order an hr after i ordered. I'll come back and order again. The Korean style vegan chicken is BOMB 💣. The sweet potatoes i needed to reheat or eat fresh, but I still liked them. They were soggy by the time I got them and can't hold that against them. The onigiri was fye 🔥 Wrapped it with seaweed and ate it up! The pickled plum has a strong kick but I dig it. Omg the best part was Caprice (The cashier)! She was so sweet and is a fellow Anime fan and was in there playing Future Funk music. Auto 5/5 for vibes and service. Give that woman a raise! I'll be back to dine-in 🍽

The pho wasn't good. The noodles were not fresh but soggy, precooked, and tasted microwaved. The broth did not taste good. The spring rolls were not fresh but suran wrapped and placed in the fridge that they had in front with the sodas. It was not authentic pho. I was very disappointed.

Doordashed food. Ordered two banh mi. They were the worst banh mi's I've ever had in my life. They were cold, soggy and quite gross. The pate was chunky on the regular. Lint on the meat. Spring rolls had a funky smell.. tasted better than the banh mi. Couldn't even finish the sandwich. The best part about the meal was the canned coke. Good thing I didn't get the pho.

Got the chicken pho and the tofu pho, as well as the bulgogi and the tofu banh mis. The tofu items were literally full of some type of sludge and inedible, chicken pho was okay and so was the bulgogi although it was soggy and drenched in mayo. Also ordered the iced tea and iced coffee and both were so weak and watered down. Never again, unfortunately!

**I live in NY but visit a couple times a year** Man, i don’t know what happened to this place but it really went downhill…to me, it was always a place that was “good enough” for the convenience of the location and the lack of authentic Vietnamese cuisine in the neighborhood, however, it’s just gone completely to hell since I was last in town ( December 2022). I’ve only ever gotten a banh mi from this place and the last time I had it, it was soggy and tasteless. This was last December. Today, I ordered a vermicelli bowl with pork. The biggest thing that disappointed me was the complete lack of pickled daikon, carrots, and cucumber. Instead, the (way too thick) rice noodles were paired with a mixed green salad, old dried shredded carrot, and some sort of “sauce” that reeked of vinegar. It didn’t have a tang of a traditional fish sauce, it just tasted rancid and sharp. The pork was the only redeeming factor. This is so disappointing and sad. Save your money and your time and go to a real Vietnamese spot in the city.

It is empty! I mean empty in this place. I ordered the Korean Chicken wings and they were not what they use to be. The chicken was not good quality and the sauce was missing it's kick. The staff at the time was super unhappy. I wont mention time frame incase they are still working there but employees complained of checks being short and tips being mishandled. it was actually sad to overhear and I have not retuned since.

I don’t normally write reviews, but this was so bad I had to. This is literally the worse banh mi I’ve ever had. My partner couldn’t even eat his. Egg rolls were mediocre, and we ordered Thai tea but they gave us coffee instead. Go elsewhere.

Me and my boyfriend arrived at 8:20 when they close at 9. The girl at the front right away said, “the kitchen is closed and the dining room is closed as well” because we noticed they took orders right before us and closed at nine we asked why and she switched up and told us it was fine and we could order they would just be closing up around us. When ordering we asked for chicken pho, at first she said they had none left then said never mind and that they would make it. (the whole time rap music was blasting and we could barley hear). we got our food around 8:45 and they brought it out to us where we were sitting. At 8:55 she said, “you have to leave at 9 I will give you to go boxes at 9” after we had just gotten our food. At exactly 9 she said “ you guys have to leave now” and put the to go boxes on the counter. We asked her to bring the boxes to us and she rudely said “no, you can get up and get them yourselves.” Keep in mind me and my boyfriend have been working in the restaurant industry for years (he is a chef and I have been a server for years) we are very polite people but she set us off. We paid $40 for food we were not able to finish or even enjoy because she ruined our appetite. The chef was very nice and brought the food to us and told us to talk to him instead of her because she said the kitchen was closed when it wasn’t. She just didn’t want to clean up our mess. The food would’ve been enjoyable if it wasn’t for the girl at the front. We would love to come back as long as that girl is not working.

Where else you gonna find fresh, warm Onigiri in Chicago?? The Ume Boshi was soooo good

Even though they could hear us in the restaurant, you have to ring a bell to get waited on. I ordered second, then 14 ppl after me ordered and somehow my order got lost or something! It was a noodle dish, egg rolls and shumai. Everyone in the restaurant got their food! It took so long that I had to get it to go and wasn't able to eat it in the restaurant. Some ppl that were dining with us ordered the bubble tea and they couldn't drink it, they said it was disgusting! When I got home, I wanted to like my food but it was not good at all! Very disappointing despite being very hungry. Pass on this restaurant!

Wow this place was so accommodating to my party needs. I had a kids party next door and wanted to feed the adults. The portions were great! There is a delicious variety of vegan and vegetarian delishes . They offer to cut up items and can also provide tongs, silverware, plates. Everything was clearly labeled and they even serve the Thai Tea and Viet Coffee is larger quantities to accommodate my little party. It was a hit ! I am definitely going to recommend all of the Bahn Mi sandwiches, spring rolls, and wings . I will go back and recommend them for corporate or catering events :)

A wonderful sandwich shop, bringing Vietnamese, Korean, and Japanese delights to Wicker Park. This place really feels like a piece of the neighborhood, like you could get sandwiches and spend a while with friends here, or maybe just read a book and enjoy some Pho. I love the Vietnamese Coffee and fresh Onigiri!

Extremely delicious! Affordable. Very cool vibes, low key. Games and books to enjoy in the restaurant. Comforting place. Our favorite restaurant so far in Chicago.

Great staff and delicious sandwiches. The pricing is the best for the value. People should really go twice a week and not break the bank.

Chicken curry banh mi was phenomenal. Waited maybe 6 minutes for my sandwich after ordering. Super cute and chills vibes. Absolutely coming back!

Delicious! I loved the beef pho and the korean wing bowl. Very authentic, and you get a really big portion of food compared to the price. Would highly recommend! Very friendly staff as well.

Pretty fire the classic vegan banh mi is good flavor other than the tofu. Nobody really flavors/spices their tofu so it was expected. So yeah just season your tofu and your vegan sandwich will become alot more flavorful!!!

Great place for my Asian food. Sandwiches, spring rolls, Korean chicken is the bomb. Fresh food, great prices, fast and Friendly service, win, win. If you're in the area looking for something good to eat, definitely recommend stopping in for a bite. Take out or grab a seat in a nice casual atmosphere.

Very bad. Tried the quintessential Viet beef pho to see how this place faired but there was absolutely no effort made for a $15 bowl. The toppings were authentic but thats about it. The broth was literally just water and five spice sprinkled on. My first time making pho broth was x100 times better than this. The other reviews on microwaved food and premade stuff in the fridge are true as well. Only thing they really sell is the mini hole in the wall hipster vibe but if you have any taste buds, take your hard earned money elsewhere.

The spring rolls are really fresh and tasty and milk tea was good as well, but the pho was not the best other then that no complaints

This place is a mess. I placed an order over the phone and they said it would be 10-20 minute wait. I arrive to pick it up a half hour later and they laughed and said it would be another 10-20 minutes and didnt seem to sure about it. Meanwhile, there were a bunch of other mad people standing in their entrance grumbling that their orders were not ready. There's too many good places to eat at to put up with this nonsense. Don't go here.

I read the bad reviews and thought "maybe their bubble tea is okay" and I just got it 5 minutes ago and it's the worst I've ever had. I'm a broke college student and got it as a treat and I feel so so so sad that I spent $5 just to taste watered-down taro root and chalky boba and throw it in the trash outside 3 minutes later. So upset. I also had their pho once and it really is water with well done beef and that's it. The bubble tea in chinatown is way better. So so soooo upset right now. Do not go here. So sad
