My father recently was brought here via ambulance, and passed away in the ER shortly after arriving. They were terrible and insensitive to us loosing him. They were rude to my mom as soon as she arrived. When they let her into the room to see my dad, they couldn’t even remove the tube from his mouth. When we said we were ready to leave, they gave us no information and said we didn’t need to fill out any information, but a previous nurse told us we would. They also did not explain how we would have to remove his wedding band, luckily i work in heath care and am aware of that. They also had us in a room right by the nurses station, and it had no privacy at all. I understand the pandemic has had a toll on heath care workers, but this was no excuse. He was a middle aged man who unexpectedly died. I would not come to this hospital if you could avoid it.

Staff are clearly not trauma-informed and have no respect for families. Bathrooms are disgusting. Couches falling apart/shredded in patient room. Only two visitors allowed per DAY total..not two at a time, per day. Does not matter if your loved one is in critical condition. When our family member arrived in critical condition after a stroke at 4am, they were told they needed an MRI, which they did not receive until after 8pm. We were not even allowed to wait in the waiting area on the floor he was on. The front desk staff would only let us sit in the noisy area right behind them in the lobby. This hospital also does not have Epic on their computers meaning the only way for them to access medical records is to have your doctor fax them over. The gift shop / coffee shop and cafeteria also only accept cash? Lol in a hospital in 2022? Terrible experience and would never recommend this hospital to anyone.

You might as well die at your house for free! These people do not know how to follow protocol AT ALL. Not only did they misdiagnose my sister while pregnant, they never did an ultrasound on her and she ended up going into early labor and having a micro preemie. The baby was in the nicu for almost 6m. Thank goodness she went to Edward's Hospital instead of this place when she went into labor and they were able to save the baby. This place needs to stop switching names and start switching staff!!!

My Son was admitted to ER in the morning and until 6 pm no one bothered to check on him. I understand that they are busy but they could at least give him some water to drink. He had to drink the water from the sink. He was not offered any food the whole day although he has no dietary restrictions. His remote with the button to call the nurses was broken, and he could not leave the room to ask for help because he was attached to the medical equipment. When I called ER to complain I was given an attitude and the nurse hung up on me. I am very disappointed because my Son goes to the ER very often, and it was never this bad before. Now it is scary to go to that place. This is very sad. Shame on them to treat sick people like that.

Worst ER ever. Been here 3 times for my wife and they just don't care. My wife was writhing in pain on 2 visits and they it's like no one cared. On first visit they were more concerned with covid than her life threatening situation. How about you take care of the emergency first and then we can talk about covid! On second visit is like they just wanted her out of there. I had to ask them multiple times to help my wife. Then I had to ask to see a doctor because one didn't even come in to see her before discharging her. Oh yeah, my wife was still in the same about of unbearable pain, crying and twisting, as when we came in. The only time the ER was good is when my wife came in with a twisted ankle. We got the only doctor who cares apparently. I wish I remembered his name. There were like 3 nurses hovering around her too. He's the only reason I am giving 2 stars despite the ER deserving negative stars(he deserves 5) The hospital itself, the surgery department, are not bad. I'd give 4 stars to them. The regular nurses are much better than the ER ones.

The lack of care and kindness I received at this place tonight was a new low I have never before experienced. I waited 7 hours and after seeing me for 15 minutes, I was told that the Dr left and I was being discharged. The discharge plan was very different from what we discussed so I asked to talk to the Dr and was told very aggressively by the “charge nurse” that since the dr went home there was nothing more they were going to do for me and there was no one else who I could speak to, she then told me that I was a liar as she kept rudely talking over me.

I went to UChicago Med Advent Hinsdale on 2/23/24 and had a wonderful experience in the GI lab. I'm a hard stick so they were prepared with the PICC line nurse Chris who magically inserted a power midline in my arm for the procedure. I wasn't stuck like a pin cushion Nurses Becky, Tina and Ram were so kind and took care of me before and after my procedure. I was treated with empathy, kindness and respect. I would recommend you advocate for yourself as always, and the team at Hinsdale will listen and help you have the best outcome to your advocacy.

On 4/12/221, I drove my husband to this hospital due to the fact he had covid, only we didn't know it was covid. Little did I know this was the last time I will see my husband alive When I check my husband in the ER, Registration didn't ask me for my information, Which is important, I didn't know the protocal until later, So whole time he was there no nurse, never kept me inform, Every time I call to see what was going on I never gotten a call no up dates, my husband was telling me until he no longer couldn't talk. When my husband passed nobody didn't call me, why because registration didn't have my information, I had to wake up to a text from a cousin telling me my husband passed you know how devastated that can be. On top of that because nobody call me to ask information on my husband Adventist didn't ask about his doctor which is important because when my husband passed his doctor didn't know he was in the ER. My husband doctor never knew he was in the hospital, his doctor didn't sign the death certificate, I had come there twice on top of that I was dealing with the after math of covid myself, nobody wanted to sign his death certificate, Also I really wanted to know exactly what happen to my husband I kept calling Adventist a months after that, nobody wanted to call me back, well when someone did call me back, I was so hurt when the person told me my husband needed to transfer to another hospital because they couldn't help at Adventist she also told me they couldn't find a hospital because all the hospital was full. If they would have call me and let me know, Oh they couldn't because Registration didn't have my information, But my husband was a veteran and worked At Hines and was Deputy Chief of Police at Hines VA Hospital. I could have call Hines and let them know what was going on my husband was respectable employee there. I felt this hospital just let my husband die, and he died alone. I told my kids please don't bring me here If I need to go yo a hospital. I can't drive pass this hospital.

STAY AWAY THEY WILL CAUSE UNNECESSARY HARM AND SUFFERING. My mother crushed her toe and toenail trying to move our couch and we made the mistake of asking this hospital for help. When she arrived she was immediately left alone for 4 hours. She requested painkillers but was told it was not necessary. While pulling her toenail off my mom could not handle the pain and asked them to stop and administer anesthesia. They said that they would not because the pain of the injection would be greater than the pain of pulling her nail off. How can this possibly be the hospitals decision to make if my mother is subjectively feeling pain? They then continued to pull her nail off while my mother screamed in pain. Afterward, they left her alone and told her she was good to go, not even offering a wheelchair. This hospital has a culture of malpractice, rude/careless employees, and generally does not consider your healing and comfort. If you are reading this and thinking about sending a loved one there, working here, or anything that would tie you to this place I would HIGHLY suggest staying far away.

The process went smoothly for my procedure. There was follow-up prior to my procedure and afterwards. Dr. Kwan was great along with the nurses and technicians. They made me feel very much at ease for the certain procedure I was in for and we're very cooperative with all of my questions/concerns and made me feel right at ease. I don't think any of us look forward to the kind of routine screening that I had recently but it helps so much when you have a competent professional and caring staff to help you through it. Much Appreciated.

I had a very good experience with this hospital. From the ER my last day I was treated with kindness and professionalism. Nurse Jenni is the best. She is very good at her job and made me feel assured that I was getting the best care. The respiratory doctors the attending doctors were all awesome as well. They all took very good care of me. Even the meal ladies were nice lol…they really were. Fantastic Hospital, excellent team, I am doing so much better thanks to them.

I ended up taking my mom there yesterday and everyone from the nurses to registration were great and attentive to her situation. They even called today to follow up if she needed help connecting with her primary doctor. It was such a pleasant ER visit and the wait time was beyond reasonable compared to other hospitals experiencing 6+ hours. It was a little bit of a drive for us but best choice we made. Will highly recommend this place to friends and family and definitely go there in future for any emergencies.

If I could rate this hospital negative numbers I would in a heartbeat. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. My finger was sliced open and bleeding all over and I did not have my purse since my neighbor had to drive me to the ER. She insisted I provide proof of ID and after reiterating again I did not have it she finally accepted my information. The triage nurse tells me the cut is to the bone and that I would need medication however what your discharge nurse said contradicted everything he said. I expressed how even when my finger was supposed to be numb I was experiencing enough pain to make to cry in agony. I was told “you’re going to be in extreme pain due to the location of your laceration” however when I asked for the doctor and something for the pain, she kept talking over me and telling me to take Tylenol. I admit I got emotional due to the level of pain at that point and the discharge nurse made me feel like I junkie looking for a fix when in reality I was feeling an extremely high level of pain but tried to remain calm to avoid having a panic attack. I will never go back to your hospital, since your staff had me in tears at the way i was treated and how much I was hurting. Your staff lacks compassion and explained nothing and no one could keep their information straight. My hand is still covered in blood and iodine since apparently that is not part of process of attending to a “deep laceration” I have. I understand the workforce is understaffed and everyone is working more to accommodate the issue but it’s unacceptable. For the record I was told to leave your hospital and in more pain now than when I was bleeding all over my hallway. I waited over 30mins for the head/supervising nurse and was left on hold. I’m not a “Karen” or a drug user and my finger is worse now and I can’t get the help necessary since your staff doesn’t seem to care about their patients well being. I will make sure to let everyone know about this experience and the conditions in which you treat your patients. Also I very much enjoyed how I had to fill out registrations information on my own phone while bleeding all over my phone case. There are not enough words to express how your hospital is a waste of my tax dollars and I was raised to treat anyone no matter the situation with patience and respect.

I cannot speak highly enough about the Labor & Deliver floor/team. I gave birth here in June 2022 to a beautiful baby boy, and they were all so wonderful throughout the process. I had a long labor, and my son spent some time in the NICU, but they were truly so kind, helpful & patient. I felt comfortable every step of the way - which you cannot ask for anything more than that!

I arrived in immense pain telling the nurse during check in I was a 10/10 pain level. I shared this with both my nurse once I was brought to my ER room and to the PA who treated me. I didn’t get introduced to an MD during my visit. I was given pain medication roughly 2.5 hours after I arrived a few minutes before being diagnosed with multiple kidney stones and herniated discs. They treatment and lack of understanding how to speak with a trans patient was the icing on the cakes. After both my nurse and PA were instructed by me a pregnancy test wasn’t vital as I am a mtf transwoman they said insensitive things including “oh well now you’ve completely changed” a focus on compassion is needed in that ER

My mom received professional care at this hospital. It was our first time coming to AdventHealth and we are satisfied. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the nursing staff especially to Elle, Sharon, Raina and Aaron, as well as to Setty and Erika, Haily and Valentina. Mom’s PT, Phillip. As well as to the housekeeping staff, Shirley and Elka. Our utmost gratitude to Dr. Muhammad and Dr. Cannon for all the help in taking care of my mom. I personally would like to thank the Chaplain who stopped by to pray and coordinated our spiritual needs for mom to receive Holy Communion and the Anointing of the sick. It was an overall beautiful experience. Thank you everyone.

Without the collective care that I received from the moment I arrived in the E.D., to my critical emergency procedure in the Cath Lab, then those very critical days in the ICU, and then finally the couple days outside the ICU, I would not be alive today. I have too many people to thank, and unfortunately I will never be able to reach everyone. If I could get that opportunity I would give a hug to every person that helped me. This hospital is amazing. What I love the most is the mission they have to carry the Healing Ministry of a Christ to all patients. By His Grace I was saved.

I wouldn't say that I had an amazing experience...because I went to the hospital for my first surgery...but I could say that people are very nice, respectful and ready to help. Everything went nice and smooth, from scheduling the surgery to awaking after, not feeling bad. The doctors and nurses explained me every step and answered my questions. If I had questions after surgery I called in and a doctor called back with good advice. The place was clean and neat so I could say, I couldn't expect better ... .

I don't know how they were rated a two. They're not only fast but they're extremely nice and professional. All of them. Today I came here for the second time. I didn't get a room with a bed this time because they were all full. They asked if I'd mind taking a bed in the hallway, which I didn't because I didn't have a sensitive, private matter and I was happy that once again, I didn't spend hardly any time in the waiting room before being called back. The first time I came here with my son, who had an allergic reaction and the receptionist told us to have a seat in the waiting area. As we were bending our knees to sit down, we were called to our room. Our butts never even got to touch our chairs. They did the regular blood pressure check, weight check, temperature check and before you know it, we saw the doctor who made the diagnosis, wrote prescriptions, and we were on our way. The only reasonable explanation as to why anyone would rate them anything less than a five, is to keep the Blessing all to themselves.💯 I don't even know why I'm telling y'all this.😂 I'll drive hours to come over here and still get faster, quality service than if I went anywhere else that I can think of.

Worst experience.....This hospital needs more staff. Someone professional as a Nurse attendant in front who can communicate better and address the patient's concern timely. I have been waiting for 7hrs in pain with no attention or meds by a medical professional. I will highly suggest going to some other hospital. You shouldn't bring loved ones here...

My experience with this hospital was horrible. The lab tech got an attitude when I asked her to change her gloves before touching me. The attending doctor was not any better. He wrote in his report some very negative comments and untruths when he did not even read the chart before talking to me. Stated that I was irritated and hostile because I told him to leave . Hostile really he did not realize that I am the one paying the bill and he needed to do what I asked by washing hands in-front of me and reading the chart before asking questions. How could he write such things about a person he has never treated. I have a right to firing him. He has been paid for services never rendered. The doctor who discharged me was not the doctor I fired. I look forward to speaking with hospital admin to discus further because I have a lot more to say. Not happy.

I just wanted to say thank you to all of the emergency room staff this past Tuesday, January 30. I came in with my 8-year-old neurodivergent daughter who had gotten a large forehead injury at school that needed stitches. My daughter was very upset and scared on the way to the hospital, and I kept telling her that the doctors and nurses are very kind and great with kids to help her feel better, not knowing exactly what would happen when we got there. But I couldn't have been more correct. From the nurse and paramedic we saw at checkin, all the way through the doctor who gave my daughter her stitches, the staff were kind, honest, patient, and amazing at putting my daughter at ease during a traumatic experience. The doctor especially took extra care to ensure my daughter couldn't feel the stitches she was putting in, and that my daughter understood the process and could advocate if she needed anything. By the end of the visit, my daughter was making jokes with the staff and seemed to be comfortable, even with many stitches on her forehead. I was so incredibly impressed with everyone and I just want to say thank you for the professionalism and kindness shown to my daughter. Thank you for everything you do.

If I could leave no stars, I would! I went to the 329 Remington Blvd office and prior to my appt I had provided all my insurance info and I was told that it was approved. When I got there, they told me that I need to call my insurance and change my primary but I had no PCP listed. The issue was with their call center and how they are changing things and they're having issues with eligible patients as well. The phone call took an hour and I was there past 3 pm. My appt was at 1:15. Once the insurance sorted things out .. they had me waiting still! When I started to get upset .. they told me they're going to refuse service! Such an unprofessional staff. The girl named Yami was being very rude and the practice manager was no help. If they wanted to refuse service they could have done so beforehand. They knew i was upset. Don't go there unless you want to waste your time! These people suck! Their services suck and their drs who are losing patients obviously don't care about their patients needs! I had to request a refund myself since they had already charged me. Even that wasn't offered from their staff. Save your time & money!

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at AdventHealth Bolingbrook. Everyone treated me with care, especially Nurse Paige and of course, Dr. Jabir. People in this world can be mean & self-serving at times, but everyone was very accommodating to myself and my dad who stayed with me for my procedure. I felt safe and comfortable. It was a refreshing experience and I'm very thankful and grateful for the exceptional staff for making my procedure run smoothly.

My husband had a really bad allergic reaction to penicillin and by the time the ambulance got him to the hospital he was unresponsive. They saved his life. My experience from the paramedics to the hospital was great even the 911 dispatcher was great I was screaming with fear. The hospital staff treated me with exceptional kindness and caring. When I arrived the next morning to see my husband after leaving him on a ventilator and sedated I walked in to this see picture below all I could do was cry with joy and thank God for guiding his care with these awesome people. Nurses Ashley, Ella, and the patient care staff the Er doctor was just fantastic we just moved to the area. Exceptional care

Kindness, Care and Compassion is what I have received from my two ER visits this week with one resulting in an admission. I was sent to Silver Cross via ambulance and they were so ignorant and uncaring, i was alone with no one to help and in severe pain. I had a relative get me and take me to Bolingbrook to where they worked on getting my pain under control as soon as i got there. The staff was caring and compassionate...particularly Frank my ER nurse, Ann my evening admit nurse (one fine nurse right there) and my day time nurse, Serah was amazing and so kind and understanding. My patient care technician, Trevor, was very nice and friendly and there to help when needed. Thank you Bolingbrook hospital for your care and compassion in getting me feeling better. You all are angels 😇 Much love and thanks 🙏🏻

What a joke of a an ER. If I could give a zero I would. Both women behind the triage window was so dererspectful, so rude to everyone Shouldn't be in their positions at all. The ER wait was 5 to 6 hours. There was a gentleman literally on the floor crying in pain and they would tell his daughter, we will get to when we have time. Meanwhile they are talking to patients with the triage window open and then talking about people when they leave triage. We can all hear them in the waiting room. There were so many more issues and if we didn't need to be at this one since it was an ambulance call, we would not have been. Five and half hours and still at the ER waiting to be seen. If you don't have to use this ER go to a different o e. The amount people that came in and left because they couldn't even get to the receptionist is not good.

My care was excellent but I was able to voice my needs. People who are not able done get as good of care. I experience this a couple of months ago when my daughter-in-law’s uncle was there dying of cancer. When nurse was asked when her last had meds for pain she stated “she didn’t know he was in pain”.

Very poor experience. My family member was here a couple of weeks ago. He spent a few hours in the emergency room, and then a few days admitted to the hospital. The communication received from the nurses towards him, as well as our family was abhorrent. Most of them, particularly his main nurse, Eugenia, seemed bored and bothered with any questions that we had. Like she was doing us a favor. None of the nurses could give us any sort of answer as to what his plan of care was. Every single question was referred to “the doctor.” I understand that people don’t usually have a decision as to which hospital they will go to when an emergency situation arrives, but given the choice we would never go back. He recently had another hospitalization at Rush Copley in Aurora, and the difference in care was night and day. Amazing and caring nurses, constant updates, and a coordinated approach to managing his conditions. There is a clear leadership problem at Bolingbrook, and unfortunately the patients and their families feel the wrath of the circumstances surrounding this.

Second time I’ve gone here and won’t be returning. Sat in waiting room for 3+ hours before being seen. Everyone that came afterwards went in and left before me. Maybe they need more staff who knows, but I’m not happy with the services I got. For the issue I went, I should’ve been seen sooner. If you’re a parent or expecting, go elsewhere.

Dr Lola Kwan is an awesome physician. She took the time to really sit with me and explain the mystery behind the issues I was experiencing and options to get relief. I felt like she was supporting my decisions with helpful information and practical guidance. And she truly cared about my ability to manage my health.

First I would like too say this has been the best experience of delivering a baby for me in a long time ! I wasn’t expected to have my baby here, but my daughter had other plans! All the nurses from the night shifts on June 19th I couldn’t get all the names but they need recognition. They took so good care of me the response was amazing ! Remind you I haven’t had a baby in ten years so my nerves and anxiety was off the roof they ease my pain and made me and my son that came in with me feel so comfortable! I fell in love with the whole staff literally! from dr Tomur, especially nurse Dolores I love her so much ! , nurse Joanna nurse sue the whole fourth floor I love them all !!they fell in love with my daughter as well ! From front door to triage to a room, the staff here was amazing. Very courteous, patient , and diligent to my needs. Dr. Guth & RN Sara found relief for my strained back ... and I'm glad I took a chance to try UChicago ER.. I would come back. Thank You to ALL!!!

Brought my dad to the ER yest. They were extremely busy but while we waited for an er room they did all the testing. Shoutout to Suzie who got the ball rolling on what needed to be done. So when we got into a room Dr. Smithgall came in promptly and ordered an hour long breathing treatment. Said he would be back in an hour and he was! Said he would order meds and do the discharge and he did promptly! To me it seemed to be run like a fine tuned machine. I was very impressed Many thanks

I had a wonderful experience with my mammogram. At the Women’s center by the Bolingbrook hospital. My mammogram tech made sure I was comfortable both physically and mentally during the test.

6/16/2023 emergency appointment with my doctor who gave me work order for Blood Tests & advised me to go to this hospital immediately because he'll get the results quickly. This was important due to my emergency health problem. Excellent service provided by all Hospital staff. Afterwards, I went to my appointment with my podiatrist to follow through with my . By the time I got to this appointment I got results on my phone (provided by my Dr Geoffrey Kuhlman) which I shared with Dr Joe George. WOW Very Impressive by everyone Thank You All Ps: January 10, 2023 3:15pm I had an EKG (needed for my Jan 20, 23 11:30am appointment procedure to be performed) that was performed by the Excellent & very Professional lady (I wish I remembered her name). Jan 20, 23 Same Super Awesome professional services provided by Everyone

Had WLS here a few days ago. Nurses were excellent, especially Justin & Beth. You two were just unbelievably fantastic. Attentive, caring, gentle and bedside manners were exceptional, you two deserve recognition. This goes for Dr. Shayani as well. Keep up the extraordinary service!

The labor and delivery nurses along with all the other staff from the beginning of my stay til the day I was discharged were all AMAZING. They were all so attentive and caring. I can’t say enough about them.

I had gastric bypass surgery in Bolingbrook. The facility was nice. The doctors were great and most of my nursing staff was excellent. Had 1 nurse that was a bit flustered but overall, I was well taken care of. I would have given 5 stars if it weren’t for failing to comply with HIPPA on something a little odd (using personal cell phone to send a picture of my wound to the doctor and it not being encrypted). I would still recommend this hospital though, especially because it is a bariatric center of excellence. I do want to add that it was odd that they had me arrive at 6am for my surgery and no one was available to check us in at that time. I’m guessing she was running late which can happen but I feel they should not have anyone waiting in an empty lobby to check in and they should pay an employee to start at least -5 minutes before asking anyone to arrive for surgery. There were 4 others also waiting.

Waiting over an hour for a shot for my daughter. Doctors don't even come and check on us. I had another no appointment there and they couldn't take me anymore because I was "late" but I was waiting for a doctor to come to the room for my daughter. I wish they would just be more organized and faster. People need to be placed too and do things .

Everyone I encountered between the ER nurses, the US tech, the MRI tech&transport assistant, registration; EVERYONE was so kind, caring, and compassionate. The room I was placed in the er was clean, as well as all the other departments I visited. My ER physician was very thorough and truely cared for my well being. The physician also followed up on my care post discharge, as well as the care team who called to help schedule my future appointments. Overall, I had a great experience and would recommend this facility to my own friends and family. Thank you!

I want to send much love and gratitude to the ER staff here today. These people are really caring considerate compassionate. I came to the ER this evening and left everything behind. I asked the staff if I could borrow a couple dollars and zelle it back to get a beverage. As one loving unit they declined my zelle offer and stuck together to help me get a beverage. I'm wishing them all a healthy happy and successful career! This is what makes the world a better place !! Nurse/Staff appreciation 11/01/2023 💕💕💕💕

Horrible MRI did not compare it to the previous ones like they are supposed to do. Emergency call button was broke. Music was broke. They couldn’t do contrast because they couldn’t stick me. Never had that problem before. Total waste of time and money. Go anyplace but here for your MRIs.

Although my surgery was fairly routine, I received excellent care at Bolingbrook hospital. I was very impressed with the preparation I received prior to my surgery (cloths & nasal swabs). Every person I came in contact was friendly, but professional. My nurses, Cassandra and Larni were helpful and attentive. And the anesthesiologist was the most thorough I’ve ever had!

I was here for injections from the docs at Chicagoland Pain Mgmt. The procedures are done at Bolingbrook Hospital. I have been coming here for a few years and have always had a good experience. The staff are always friendly. Love the docs too. My husband, daughter and mom were patients as well.

The staff steals your belongings so if you leave anything don’t even bother coming back for it.
