Hospital

😠 I have been in the ER since 3:00pm it’s 9:45pm. I came here in an emergency from urgent care. How long will I be laid out on the floor in case I stop breathing before someone assist me. There’s an elderly couple that has been parked on the side in the ER waiting room. Correct me if I’m wrong but I... People often mention hospital, room, care, staff, time, pain, waiting, nurses, hours, nurse,

I have been in the ER since 3:00pm it’s 9:45pm. I came here in an emergency from urgent care. How long will I be laid out on the floor in case I stop breathing before someone assist me. There’s an elderly couple that has been parked on the side in the ER waiting room. Correct me if I’m wrong but I thought elderly people our patriarch of the community would be taken care of First above all. Cardiac, Breathing issues, I understand priority emergency 🚨 situation ambulance patients coming in. I went to the little window to ask how much longer would it be not even me. But for my elders that have been sitting up right one in a wheelchair and the other in an uncomfortable chair. And the young lady at the window Didn’t Get It!!! Shame on Society and hospital employees who don’t think elders are important. It’s very sad. This hospital seems like it’s being ran by the state. Patient Privacy is out the window. I’ve seen several people sit in the open with IVs hanging out their arm kinda like me. I’ve been sitting for almost a 8 hour shift. The second time I inquired the young lady she gave straight attitude that’s not call for it’s very rude. I’m inquiring about an elderly couple shame on her. If you don’t have Covid you will have it when you leave.

My mom broke her endless and was unfortunately submitted to their emergency room. Initially she had a room but after 2 hours she got moved to the hallway. For 5 hours we were waiting for a room to be cleaned. After that time, I went to complain to the nurse charge and she kept telling me that the room is still dirty and was still waiting to be cleaned. After 6 hours I went again complaining how could it be possible not to have people to clean a room 6 hours and she had the security kick me out of the emergency room. My mom was in pain, crying and is not even a good English speaker, and was terrified. The best part is that the security guys (3) put me in a small waiting room close to my mom, but she send them back requesting that they remove me completely our of emergency room. I couldn't believe what was happening! Zero companion and understanding. Zero freedom. If you complain...you are out!!! Wow!!!

During registration it was discussed that I had a Mastectomy on my right side and that Lymph Nodes had been removed. It was also discussed that a bank would be placed on my right arm so others would be aware that my right arm was not to be used. It was also known that I was having surgery on my left wrist. When the nurse was ready to give me the IV it came to a complete surprise to her. She was obviously not sure what she should do. She then proceeded to ask the Anesthesiologist if it would be “OK” to use my right arm for the IV. She returned stating that he said it would fine. I questioned this but was assured it was not a problem. After surgery the Nurse looked at my right arm and noted I had an IV and it was VERY apparent that she surprised that my right arm was used. The hospital staff was well aware of my health history and it was apparent that no one reviewed this information prior to prepping me for surgery. If the information provided in advance what good is it if no one reads it? I am stunned that the hospital and staff put my health at risk by placing the IV in my right arm. It is well documented that by doing this it can cause Lymphedema. This is a common condition when Lymph Nodes are removed. This entire episode has been extremely upsetting and has placed me under a great deal of stress.

We went to Alexian Brothers medical center ED today after testing positive for Covid 19 with a rapid19 antigen test at home and having mild symptoms. Hoping to get a repeat test for confirmation and further guidance besides quarantining if it was indeed positive. The reception we received from.both the registrar and the Triage nurse can be described as unwelcoming at best. Repeatedly asking for the reason as to why we came to the ED. The triage nurse short of turning us away advised there were multiple rapid testing available on the roadside and pointing out how backed up they are and how we needed to quarantine instead of going to ED emphasizing it is going to be a long wait for us in the waiting room. Understanding the triage process and the wait we may face. We decided to come to this ED hoping to receive care and direction not to be made to feel that our visit is unwelcome and preventable. Instead of feeling like the healing ministry of Christ is extend to us with this visit. We instead feel like we are seeking something we do not deserve from the facility. I do not post online reviews, they say that people who do are either very satisfied with the service they received or the other way around. How you say and deliver a message matters a lot. Threatening a patient regarding a long wait is not helpful when they are coming to you to seek help, nor is making their concern seem insignificant. If patients seeking testing are not welcome in the facility, A posting on the door might be better with information on alternate sites instead of registering them, going through the motions and making them.fell unwelcome.

The Day Surgery center here is AMAZING and the staff is STELLAR!! They made my daughter feel safe, calm and cared for before and after her surgery. The whole hospital is beautiful and doesn't feel like a cold, stark hospital. Everything has been outstanding here. And of course Dr MaKenna is phenomenal as always!! I will never take my daughter to another facility as long as this one never changes. PLEASE keep compensating your excellent staff well!! We need them here and happy to give the excellent care they are giving!! 😊😊

I had same day surgery and my experience was fantastic. From registration to checking in at day surgery, and throughout the entire process, the staff were incredibly efficient, kind, helpful, and compassionate. I was having a pity party in my bay and Angeli P. the. Nursing Manager for the day surgery area was so kind and helpful. She took the time to comfort me, answer any questions, follow up post surgery and wish me well. While the surgery was not fun, the patient care I received from everyone in day surgery was so helpful and appreciated. Thank you.

I had to call an ambulance for my husband because he passed out. We thought he was having a stroke, I wished I had driven him myself or begged the ambulance to take him somewhere else. When I arrived shortly after the ambulance my husband was slumped over in a wheelchair in a overly crowded waiting room receiving no care or attention for his possible stroke. He told me the person at the registration desk only wanted his insurance card and he had not been seen. I explained to the people at the desk his symptoms and the urgency of a quick response to stroke protocol. They did bring him back into the triage area (very small) took his vitals, performed an EKG, took some blood and gave him a cup to pee in. When I again reiterated the symptoms of stroke an RN was called out to hear the symptoms and a CT was ordered. He was placed back out in the waiting room again and that is where we sat. A doctor came out to make an announcement that all of the beds in the ER were full of boarders waiting for rooms to be admitted and that they would be treating patients from the waiting room only with no other explanation on how that process would be done. There were people there that had been waiting hours to be seen. This is not how people should be treated. I feel that Alexian Brothers needs a better system in triaging their ER especially more emergent cases. I will NEVER go to Alexian Brothers again. I would rather drive to another hospital ER even if it takes a little bit more time. At least I know my loved ones will not be neglected in an over crowded ER waiting room when they have a real medical emergency.

Must be a very hospital to be throwing away 75,000 brand new sealed NOT EXPIRED surgical masks , into a landfill. Don't you need these for procedure????? Why are you so wasteful???? Not only does your hospital provide mediocre care, you are bad for the environment and wasteful!

This review is for the ER Department of this Hospital. I should have read the reviews before bringing a family member to the ER department. I grew up in a third-world country and thought I had seen the worst ER department, but what I saw here shocked me. I brought a family member here for an emergency issue. The intake was fast, and vitals were taken a few moments after we arrived. However, the triage process turned out to be the longest wait we have ever experienced in an ER environment. Due to what we saw and experienced, we ended up walking away. In the ER lobby, we saw people waiting to be seen, most of whom were in agonizing pain. Some of them walked away due to the lack of attention and care. From what I have seen in the reviews, this is a recurring issue in this ER. People are saying the same things review after review. It's just sad that nobody in upper management is taking action. They should prioritize treating the patients here with the utmost compassion and care. These people are in pain and in need of immediate help. This is a plea to improve your service and help your community by providing good service. We deserve better than this! After this experience, we will NEVER set foot in this ER again.

Came in the ER for chest pain due to a recent abdominal surgery last week. Even tho the wait was 3 hours Dr. Grant made it worth it every minute. Dr.Grant was very polite and thorough with explaining my concerns. He showed me my image scans to explain why I was feeling pain. Special shout out to nurse Danielle for getting my blood through a bad IV in triage. The triage nurse had to poke me four times just to obtain blood and still couldn’t get it. I had this problem with this hospital before but last time they poked me 6 times, I left with a swollen vein and no answers to my pain. If it wasn’t for Dr.Grant and Nurse Danielle I would never go back.

My daughter gave birth 10/23/23, the birthing staff was great! The 3 stars is because I had an encounter with Karen who I believe works the front desk of the department, she was very rude and condescending. I stayed with my daughter from delivery through her stay at the hospital because the father of the child had a busy schedule working. Kylie, a great nurse offered us some relief by putting a Do Not Disturb sign on the door so we can get some rest. A woman walked into the room, disregarded the sign and didn't knock - just walked right in with an attitude, she had a young lady training with her. Anytime a doctor entered the room, they always knocked and announced themselves. I know this woman is not above the doctors, what makes her think she doesn't have to knock? Rhetorical statement. She stated she needed some information to be reviewed regarding the birth certificate for accuracy, didn't say her name but I later found out it was Karen. My daughter looked at the paperwork and handed it to me for review as she was exhausted. I asked the woman to add the additional ethnicity and race to the document, the young lady in training gave me a pen to update the document but Karen yelled at her not to do that, as she would make the update. I gave back the pen but Karen should not have yelled or have such a bad attitude. I'm not sure what she was dealing with before she entered the room or if this is just her personality but she was unprofessional. I proceeded to tell her my background and she stated it's about my daughter and not me. I kindly explained to her that my daughter has a combined ethnic background of her mom (myself) and her father. Even though I didn't say it, I thought everyone knew that to be common knowledge, especially someone working in a hospital. She proceeded to tell me she shouldn't even be talking to me, only the patient, the only reason she is speaking to me is because my daughter handed me the document.... I found that rude to speak to family in that manner especially since I've been nice and professional with her despite being sleep deprived from the previous night. I hold 2 masters, the last thing I need is an entitled person being rude and unprofessional especially when it was unwarranted. I stayed humble and polite but think this should be addressed. I did speak to a manager, not sure if it was Karen's manager, or sure how or if it was addressed which is my reasoning for this post. If I would have gotten an apology from her then I would have known if it was addressed but now I don't know either way. More training is needed for this individual.

Do not come to this E.R with any serious illness or injury !!! The hospital is fine, pretty standard as far as hospitals go. I've had tests here as well as a small surgery. Not a single complaint, I would probably rate it five stars. The ER on the other hand, I'm at a loss for words. Seriously, Don't come here with any serious illness or emergency !!! I've been to this E.R four times and only once was actually seen by a doctor. Two of those visits to this E.R were for life threatening issues. The most egregious visit to this E.R was not only a life threatening issues but a time sensitive one as well. If i didn't have someone with me to drag me out of there and bring me to another E.R, where i was immediately rushed into the ICU and spent 37 days in the hospital, I would have died in the Elk Grove Alexian Brothers E.R waiting room ! Again, Do Not Come Here !!! If you have a cut or the sniffles , This E.R might be able to handle it. But if you are actually sick or injured... Demand to be taken somewhere else. Even if you get charged $5,000 more for the Ambulance to take you down the street to the other E.R in this area, Don't come to this E.R !!!

Both of our kids have been born here. How do you even say thank you for something like this? It's difficult to express the type of gratitude we feel. We were the fortunate parents who got discharged to go home with healthy babies after just days in the maternity ward each time. But let me just say this: The staff are angels in a human form. When their time here is done and they arrive at the Pearly Gates the bouncer will pick them out of the line and take them to the VIP entrance. The Big Man himself will come and shake their hand. Thank you for everything.

I would rate this hospital a 5 for the surgery and nurses within those areas a 5 STAR, the billing department is a -5 if I could give that rate. NO ONE will talk to me (the patient) about charges! they bill the insurance, insurance pays them and then you the patient are over charged expected to pay co-pays based on incorrect charges on the front end. Not a few dollars thousand of dollars. I have made over 24 phones calls and it all ends the same way, no answers and no supervisors to talk to!!!! I have had 5 surgeries, the last 2 were identical identical yet charges were 3 time higher. this hospital does not care once you walk out the door.

I had a great experience with the ER department when coming in. Especially with how the handled dealing with my anxiety and outbursts due to being scared. Didn't have to wait long to be seen. Just long wait for a room to be admitted. Had wonderful care team once I was admitted to a room. Except for my nurse for the first overnight shift. Kept telling her I needed my IV site to be changed because the machine was going off due to the needle not being in my vein properly anymore. She kept trying to flush it and it would not flush. Told her to change it. When she finally tried I had to yell at her because she was hurting me when trying to put it in. And the site started bubbling up. But everyone else I had were wonderful as my care team

Forced to give 1star to post!! Zero Stars as it’s a sucking abyss of time dealing with central scheduling, ER is absolutely horrible.. you will likely bleed out or code before actually being seen! I am adding to my directives that I’d rather be DOA at another hospital…. DO NOT take me to St. Alexis!! Sad after 30+ years with “Alexian Brothers” …. It’s painfully obvious, it’s no longer the Brothers ship!!! AVOID IF POSSIBLE! 🙏

I’m actually giving this 0 stars. I went in as a psych patient for suicide attempt last month to the emergency room. And the night nurses where completely rude and incompetent. They would not let my partner back for almost 2 hours and they kept lying to her saying there wasn’t any room and I was in the biggest room in the ER. The staff talked about me among other staff members loudly in front of my room. Also threaten to call security on my partner and lied and said she was posing a threat because she said she had been waiting for hours and no update. They are not trained nor do they have any sensibility when it comes to patients. Especially psych patients. They threaten to restrain me and called security on me because I asked for another certified nurse to draw my blood. They treated me like i was inhuman because of the condition I was in. The nurses didn’t want to do there job so they asked someone who was watching to draw my blood. And he had to be supervised during it. He almost stuck me in my tendon because he thought it was a vein. Luckily he asked for confirmation before sticking me. I asked for someone else and I was threatened with restraints. I was held for a day and a half and they did not feed me until the evening of the next day. My mom called to check on me and they wouldn't give her any updates. And also kept lying to her. Overall this is the worst emergency room in all of the chicagoland area. It should be shut down and never open again. Without proper training on there jobs, and customer service.

The ER is always very slow, staff are rude, and they don't care about the patients. Everyone's response is it's not their job. You'll just be stuck in the waiting room. I would suggest going to any other local hospital for better care. Expect at least a 5 hour wait to see a Dr, even if you're brought by ambulance. All the negative reviews of the ER are accurate. You will just suffer more here.

I had such a wonderful experience at Ascension. I came in after complications from blood clot removal and a long hospitalization to help me regain strength, and when I arrived I couldn't walk more than 15 feet without a walker. By the time I was ready to go home I was able to walk laps around the gym with just a cane. I highly suggest if any inpatient or outpatient therapy is needed. All of the staff is super nice and helpful and they are all willing to make sure you're comfortable while ensuring you're making progress towards being discharged. Thank you Ascension Alexian Brothers!

I unfortunately had to go to the ER twice in a two week period . The ER STAFF was tremendous! I had The same great Nurse, Kristina both times , had me as a patient at least part of both times. She made sure I got something to eat, after I was there 6 hours, and even helped me out of the bed as I was getting fatigued. The level of service was incredible but she went above and beyond. I’ve been to Alexia’s many times for me and family members and always feel good about the experience!

While the staff is attentive and knowledgeable, the digital infrastructure, communication between departments and access to one’s own patient information is abysmal. Doctors offices will fax in orders and their Central Scheduling department swears they never received it. Doctors offices do not update patient portals on a timely basis and it can take two weeks for doctors orders to appear. In some cases, I cannot even update my own information or access labs. Simply horrible! Northwestern Medicine is leaps and bounds ahead of these people UPDATE: I responded to ABMC's request to speak with a representative by sending an email to the address they provided me. Both attempts result in a "Delivery Failure" because the email does not exist. See Photo (added)

Terrible place. I had a friend who was transported by ambulance to the ER here. She was waiting for a room on a stretcher & said she passed out and woke up to hear the ER staff gossiping about her. When she was put in a room for isolation she was only given ONE cup of water. The overnight ER staff (a large overweight male nurse) threatened to put restraints on her if she asked for water again. The sandwich that they gave her had MOLD in it. Not even the county jails serve you moldy food! When she finally got a room upstairs to see a doctor 24 hours later, they gave her ONE TYLENOL.. she was billed thousands of dollars only to be mistreated and given OTC TYLENOL. The staff clearly has no respect and no problem violating HIPAA. I’d rather die than end up here!

I'm giving this hospital a 5 star not because of the hospital but because of the staff and Dr's. I came in not thinking I was going to be admitted and had no family around but the nurses made me feel so welcome and took such great care of me. I want to give a shout out of appreciation to nurse Ila, yogi. But especially to my day shift nurse Kelly. She went above and beyond and truly advocated for me. She truly genuinely cared I have never met anyone like her. I felt safe and cared for and more importantly heard by her. Thank you nurse Kelly I will never forget you!

Not the 1st time admitted to hospital. Before had no issues. Was in hospital 12-17 to 12-24. Nurses and patient care tech that had me room 3129 was outstanding. Both shift and the whole time there. Very great staff. The only issue is patient care tech has too many patients. Hospital should hire 1 or 2 more at least the day shift. Very pleased again here.

The experience with the nurses in the ER was horrible. Not one of them was kind or had any empathy! Just the one person that took me to get a ct scan. But with that said the nurses on the 6th Floor were Amazing!!!! Kudos to them. They made a frightful and such a painful ordeal for me better. They were kind, concerned, helped me every step of the way! I can’t say much more good things about them.. amazing!!!

I went to ER with stroke like symptoms. Had to wait about an hour for brain CT scan. I also wish they decide to do the one with contrast and then be sure about brain aneurysm too because one week later I had to go back to ER with the same symptoms. I went to a different hospital. And had another CT scan done , this time with a contrast. If I would have it done week earlier with a contrast I didn’t have to take another “ dose” of radiation. So sad.. Another thing is nobody even came to do a bloodwork! It is not acceptable! Blood panel should be one of the next test done right after a brain scan. I am never coming back to this ER.

Please know that we are dedicated to delivering compassionate care that starts with listening. -Ascension Illinois Community Manager... Part of the canned response to one star reviews. I am scheduled for a test. I got a phone call about the test that I could not understand. I answered the phone in one ring but I still got a canned message. The person had an accent that I could not get through and it was a bad recording. I could not understand it. I called the phone number they told me to call for questions, and immediately got to put on hold... When I finally got to somebody I asked to speak to the supervisor. I was told one minute. After many minutes, I was told the supervisor would call me back. The supervisor did not call me back... Please know that we are dedicated to delivering compassionate care that starts with listening. -Ascension Illinois Community Manager... How can they listen if they never call you back?

The ER is horrible. I sat there 4 hours waiting in pain. When I finally did get back there the nurses were so rude. They do not care about their patients at all. I heard the nurses talking and laughing about another patient that was in pain. I laid in the hospital bed hearing the nurses playing and laughing loudly instead of checking on patients that I know needed them.

This was my second annual visit (dxa test) to this location. Everyone from the front Registration (Nicole) and to the X-RAY tech were very nice and helpful. I didn't have to wait long to be admitted. Special thanks to Hershey, who did everything in her power so that I could have an additional test on the occasion of this visit. I haven't been treated so nice in a long time. I highly recommend.

If I could rate it lower, I would. We’ve been here all day and the service sucks, no progress is being made, no one is satisfied. If you’re in pain you must deal with it. I honestly think this hospital will make you more sick then when you entered. Being here from the morning and it is now 7pm. They have not took the ct scan yet. Don’t bother wasting your time. Find another hospital.

I received excellent care from the following, Rio, Farrah, Philip and Margie, just to name a few. The only one that not nice or provided good care was Rebecca and I had her as a nurse for 2 nights She could care less about managing my pain. She would say she would be right back and not come back for long time , she seemed like she didn’t want to be there one time it took her over 2 hours to bring pain meds, her tech was awesome she would be there as needed. I was on a 2 hour regiment of pain meds, which she totally screwed up. I asked her to fix the socks that were squeezing my leg and it was just a minor adjustment, her response was the tech will takcare of that. Someone needs to have a conversation with Rebecca. She also complained about the amount of patients she had, claiming 7 were too many.

I was in the ER and dealt with Red and Dr Drake who took really good care of me. From there I went to room 207 and was treated wonderful. Then I went to room 453 and had several different nurses. I wish I could remember all their names but I do remember Judy and Jessie. Dr Gruenenwald was a rock star who kept pushing for answers and I can only hope what was performed does the trick. Only a few days and we'll know. I have never been in a hospital that All the staff were so professional and wonderful to me. Debbie Hernandez 💞

The staff was nice, I was 4 days of inpatient. The things that really bothered me are: the is no atrium AND NO WA to get out and get FRESH AIR- or sunlight! Another thing is when the doctors come in the don't introduce themselves you have to ask who they are. And the beds are EXTEMELY UNCOMFORTABLE.

I have had one of the best experiences with the way my procedures have been handled from start to finish with the hospital and the cancer treatment center. Very knowledgeable and really took the time out to explain the procedures and really all of my procedures. The Ambulatory department that handles my Chemo has gone above and beyond and really worked to together to get me through a long day of getting through my procedure and making me feel comfortable. If I could give them 10 stars I would!! Thank you to everyone at this hospital that took care of my and surgeons and staff that went out of there way to make me feel comfortable with my stays there i wish I could name all the nurses and doctors that took care of me! Thank you so very very much. Tim D

Some of the staff are very sweet individuals, but taking the organization in as a whole, I had to give this hospital one star. Patients are left uncomfortable, forgotten and in pain- my mother had an IV hooked up to her but not turned on for about two hours, and it took two separate nurses to realize that it was overlooked (even after we kept pointing it out). The rest of the stay was disorganized and the lack of communication caused there to be a failure of notication about any insurance discrepancies until 2 days into treatment. Also, the food was gross.

Horrible staff and it’s the worst when people say and I quote, “No other hospital is open so now we HAVE to go to Alexian Brothers” everyone dreads the hospital and is scared cause they fear they aren’t getting the right treatment and aren’t gonna be cared for. My dad was there for 5 days the nurses kept telling him the doctor was coming tomorrow for 5 days. He was having heart issues. So got fed up and just left cause he was done with the service he was getting. Don’t go here the people are awful. I’d rather take an hour trip to another hospital then go there.

I was in labor and delivery and everyone was extremely nice and caring. I'm giving a four star instead of five because one night I believe that they were understaffed and I was waiting in pain for about an hour for someone to give me something for pain. My Nurse was then switched to someone else named Amy she was amazing and really showed she cared. She constantly checked on me, gave me my pain medication as well as a heating pad which really helped the pain from my c section. Culinary staff was very nice. The bathroom was a bit outdated and needed to be cleaned a tiny bit.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this caring and loving facility. Having delt with so many others that were not good, our family so appreciated the wonderful care our mother received during her last days. Knowing she was well cared for at all times gave us great comfort. All the staff we encountered were amazing and so willing to help and make us feel comfortable. Thank you for all you do on a daily basis for families in their time of need. God bless you all!

This was the hospital I was born at, and I have been going to it for my whole life. Yet I had been treated like I didn’t exist nor was important while being there. I have been in the ER 2 times for different emergencies, one for my appendix and one for a suicide attempt. Both were absolute horrible experiences, and both times I wish I would’ve just left instead of suffering more. I was first brought in on a stretcher from my attempt, and they had put me in the busy hallway due to them saying they had no rooms available. This ended up being for multiple hours, with no privacy, no immediate care, people constantly walking past me and brushing against my stretcher. All after one of the hardest and traumatizing things I had just gone through. I then had to ASK them to bandage my body up, because they had not done anything to help the pain even with seeing the extent of what happened. I felt like the nurses saw me as “just another depressed teenage girl” and not as a human suffering mentally and physically. Overall, PLEASE do not go to this hospital and specifically the ER. Too many reviews are speaking about the same lack of care, respect, and ignorance of this place. I’m so sorry to anyone else who has had a negative experience with this hospital. Do better Alexian.

My experience with Alexian was really terrible. From the phlebotomist in CCU when twisted my arm back and forth while the Bo cuff was going off. She ignored me and my asking her to stop twisting my arm. Then in the unit #403 room in took average 3 hours after request for pain med to get a couple of Tylenol. I was all but ignored until I practically threw a fit that I wanted to sign out AMA. Because I was getting proper treatment. One nurse Melissa CCU and Patrick 4th floor were the best who seemed to know their job and performed it excellently. And the PCT Vinny my last day heard my frustration and did all he could to help. I know I was in a COVID room. But when I asked to speak even on the phone with the Chaplain in a Catholic Hospital. They couldn’t provide that. Very disappointed and hope I never have to come back to Alexian Brothers EGV Respectfully Paula Pedersen

The nursing and support staff are good, hard working people. The medical staff seems to not have a cohesive plan. Everyone is pulling in a different direction and I only want to know one thing: when do I get out and start working on putting my life back together. It’s like I’m six or seven years old again and asking my parents if we can go to the park. “We’ll see…” It might be good enough for a primary grader, but grownups would like a little more. As I said: the doctors and nurses and support staff are very good. The doctors just need someone to pull it all together and get it to make sense to the patient.
