Had an 81year old patient and was terribly Neglected on floor 3101! Didn't check when the call light was pushed, let his I. V. Empty Wasn't changed, Not Fed! No fluids as needed. Couldn't talk to the floor Doctors, Nurses were very Rude to family members when called on their concerns about patient. Then Patient was tossed out in the cold still sick 😷. Really??? Kick out, discharged instead of correcting the situation Really!! What kind of hospital are you all are running here??? SHAME ON YOU!!! Had to admit this 81yr old to another hospital. Wow is this how you treat your own Family members this way?? No to little care, Neglected a sick elder, the So Called CNA's and Professional Nurses need to be Fired for their poor choices of Care!! Very Disappointed. I Will Not Recommend Anyone to Northwest Health Hospital Ever. Non Professional!!

I CANNOT recommend this place as a rehab facility. Physician and staff do not treat overall patient health. The strictly focus on rehab. In my case this caused the person graduating from rehab to go home for one hour and then back to the ER for untreated health complications. This Physician should be barred from practice for being dismissive and negligent.

Only recommend if you're desperate or last option. The short nurse for Chad Bogue was soooo unprofessional, asking questions about tattoos and when the last time I was incarcerated. Yeah, umm, that's none of your business. I was there for a Dr. Visit not a job interview. Telling me about her husband being locked up in Westville, like I care or something. Way to make patients feel uncomfortable. I was also told I needed a hearing test after seeing Chad Bogue, and it took 2-3 days just for a referral. These locals hospitals have to do better! Smh..

The wait times? Horrific. If you need any kind of testing done, expect to wait at the very least an hour and a half. Even if it is just for a blood draw. And I would only suggest going here if you want to be extremely overcharged when they find out you have insurance. The nurses are usually nice and I did have a decent experience with an ER doctor one time but please expect to be overcharged.

My family has been coming to this facility for over 30 years, since back when it was a little urgent care clinic. We have always been satisfied, always been taken care of in a quick, efficient manner and never had issues except for two times, with the same doctor about 27 years ago. He misdiagnosed my daughter's RSV virus and was a bit rough in handling my son when he had to remove an object from his nose. But when I reported it to our pediatrician, who was on the hospital board, he was dealt with. Again, that was 27 years ago and was handled correctly and professionally. All in all, we are confident in coming to this e.r. and will continue to do so when necessary.

I’m updating my review because I had my wife here 3 times within 8 days for ER visits and it was a mixed batch experience. Her first visit we would give 10/10 everyone on staff that night was exceptional and she was well taken care of and got the answers she needed for what was going on with her. Her second trip here she was treated well by most of the staff but her nurse this night didn’t get her IV in all the way and gave up on her fluids and just threw the bag out. Her third visit on the other hand was not as positive of an experience because she came in in extreme pain which they did treat her for mostly with pain meds but the doctor she got after shift change just said they couldn’t find anything wrong with her and she was just having pregnancy morning sickness. We knew that wasn’t it because when she started having the very same pain the next day we decided to visit the PORTER location instead and they were actually able to figure out she was severely constipated and treat her with the right medicine. So we now have mixed feelings about this location because getting an accurate diagnosis could depend on which doctor you get.

Google should have a 10 Star Option. I was traveling recently and needed emergency care. God must have been watching over me. The kind nursing and ER staff were awesome, patience, kind respected my dignity (I was more than a number). Although I believe it is the culture of Portage Medical that all their employees are as kind, respectful, caring as Ralph, Dane, Nikki "two Ks and I. Godsend !!

Took my 76 yr. old mom who fell and walked out after waiting nearly 3 hrs for x-rays. If your understaffed, already too busy to care for the PT. load then it would be extremely beneficial to inform incoming patients so they are NOT waiting in pain! Totally unprofessional when the Dr. said IF I was concerned about my mom..... it was best I walked her out then! IF YOUR MISSION IS TO DELIVER EXEMPLARY CARE...YOU FAILED EPICALLY!

I don't know about everyone else that works at this hospital but my mother was on the 4th floor for a period of time and she never really had a problem with anyone else except the person who would clean up around the room and the floors in the hallway and other things but for some reason she was always extremely rude. Every time I would see her I would say hello or good afternoon and I would always either get a strange glare or no response at all. It go to the point to where my mother would even tell me that she was rude to her also. I even asked the desk her name and they said her name was Judy. I told them about the situation and nothing was done. I even called the main hospital to the housekeeping department and told them how she treated us and still she walked around being rude and making us feel unwelcome. I don't know what else to do but obviously neither the hospi tal or the contractors they employ care too much about about how their patients and their families are treated. The company that I guess the hospital hired to do this job that this woman works for is called Sodexo or something like that. Either way they both should be more responsible for who they hire.

I had to bring my 2 year old daughter to the urgent care today, she had a yogurt covered raisin stuck in nostril, urgent care was nice and let me know they didn't have the suction available there so they sent me off to the emergency room, I waited at the emergency room window for 15 mintues before anyone came to check us in, it asked to only ring the bell once I rang it once waited 10 mintues, rang it a second time and waited 5 until a woman showed, after that I waited in an empty waiting room for 40 mintues and nobody ever triaged us and luckily the yogurt melted of the raisin and I was able to get it out, in the waiting room myself. I understand children stick things in there nose but this was not treated like an emergency at all the entire time my daughter was saying "help, its stuck" what if she had inhaled it and it went into her lung? I'm so disappointed at how we were treated, and truly im not inpatient or one to complain but I am so angry at this hospital what a joke of an "emergency room"

Made an appt online for 10:30, arrived at 10:40 but I had to wait in line for a walk in appt to get signed in with the receptionist, it was 10:46 when he was done and I tell her I had scheduled an appt online, and she said “we can’t hold it for longer than 15 minutes” it had been 16 minutes…………….. the waiting room was so full I couldn’t even sit down and had to stand and wait for 45 minutes to see a doctor. Super “urgent” care. I hate coming here it only makes being sick 1000 times worse. Receptionist didn’t have any sympathy and just slammed her window shut. Nice hospitality guys

I had to call poison control because I went up there to get my 2sons treatment for a powerpacs clothing detergent in the eye and under the arm and they didn’t even listen to me and discharged us and we called back we didn’t know the doctor last name but his name on the paper said David and so we asked to speak to David and they got heated said tht they didn’t call they doctors by the first names we asked to speak to the doctor again and they started laughing at us and said we couldn’t speak to the doctor and hung up on us and we called Bac and they still didn’t let us speak to the doctor and they said we could speak to the house supervisor instead then we got connected back to the people who were laughing at us then we asked for they name and refused. Thank god for poison control bc they were more helpful than the hospital

My daughter gave birth there and they refused to give her more then motrin for her pain. She was full of stitches and had given birth less then 24 hours before and she was in such pain she was in tears and they were only giving her a motion every 12 hour. Absolutely ridiculous. When I said something the brought her another motrin as it had been 8 hours since she had her first 1. Also she was not breast feeding so that wasn't the issue. Nurses were helpful and nice I just wish they would have helped her more manage all her pain. I understand if they hadn't wanted to send her home with anything but she was in there for 2 or 3 days.

My boyfriend went here and was tested positive for covid , an hour later I go here to get tested , and they said they don't do COVID testing and that it's not a life-threatening emergency and I'm pregnant!!! And then they gave me a list of facilities on where to get tested and I had to make an appointment , and she said COVID has been going around for over 2 years now and I should know where to get tested for covid . They are very rude and unprofessional!!!! All they want is there money!

Love the location and love the convenience of visiting my doctor, getting lab work, mammogram and all other tests in one location

Horrible staffing the receptionist was so rude and didn't seem to care on how I was feeling since my mom just tested positive for covid and I wasnt feeling well anyways and told me that Im not emergency then I shouldn't be here like how you going to tell someone that and not know what is going on with them to make sure they weren't a emergency

Horrible doctor and care. Went in amd left feeling worse. I will never recommend this place to anyone. Medical professionals don't listen to any patients.

I don't know why it's underrated, this is literally my best experience in an emergency room , I usually take up to 4 hrs to be done in other hospitals , this time I only spent an hour . I don't remember names but LITERALLY everybody was super niceee and everything was taking care of in a reasonable time. Thank you !

The services, gym and food are all excellent. Everyone we came into contact with was respectful and attentive to all my father's needs. Overall I would recommend this facility through and through.

I had the BEST ER doctor (Dr Starr) who did her due diligence and ordered a chest X-ray when I went in with bronchitis. I would have given five stars except that we could hear the women at the ER desk talking about how I needed a specific kind of surgeon. I had NO idea and this was not the way for me to find out. No explanation from the doctor yet. We were left to think they were bringing me right up to surgery. This was certainly not the business of any other patient who could also hear this private information. Give the doctors a chance to talk to the patient before blurting out details.

My mom was treated in the ER department by a very rude LPN. She had asked for extra pants and feminine products and she huffed and puffed away. She tried to place a blood pressure cuff on her with a prior patient’s blood on it. Her actual nurse was an absolute gem and that is the only reason I’m giving this place 3 stars.
