DO NOT go to the DERMATOLOGY CLINIC here on the 3rd fl 3E. They are extremely unorganized and ghetto, and does not care about the patients. We had a scheduled appointments for my son’s keloid to be removed the policy gives you a 15min Grace, we got there 10mins after and was told we would have to wait until the end of the day in order to be seen. Why would you expect me and my child to spend a whole shift to be seen when we were within the Grace period. Very inconsiderate. I decided to reschedule, the nurses said they would call, 2 weeks no call so I called and the nurse made the incorrect appointment for fu and not surgery removal and had us waste another trip and him being taken out of school for her mistake. They did not try and make up for it what so ever. You would think because it’s a good location they would do better but it’s not. It is ghetto. They do not care for the people they serve at all.

I've had an appointment to see the dermatology department for nearly a year after my doctor referred me there. But, today, when called an hour ahead of my visit to see if I had all the proper paperwork, I was told they had unexpectedly canceled my consultation because the doctor was out. I wasn't notified ahead of time and I wasn't given an explanation for why the doctor was gone. The best they could offer was another appointment more than 2 months away, but I passed ...

I made an appointment three months in advance and today was supposed to be my appointment. They never called me. Office is closed for elections. When I called they said that the doctor that I was supposed to see left two weeks ago... great! What an outstanding service. The next available day is in February! What a joke

If I could give them a zero I would. They don't offer same day appointments. When you have a scheduled appointment you never get called on time, more like a hour later! Smh, if the patient late to appointment within 15minutes the appointment will be canceled but they take an hour after your appointment to call u to the room

Lady who answered the phone in Radiology Dept. for scheduling appointments was very snotty, didn't listen & no help at all. When I explained that my PCP lied about sending an order for a certain procedure and I followed instructions from the UIC letter that was sent to me four times, she said, "what do you want me to do about it?" I told her to stop sending letters to my house. So much nastiness dealing with the business professionals in the world today.

Going into for a visit is good in certain clinics and not so great in others. It seems that the clinic coordinators in certain clinics have attitudes over the phone and in person. It is unfortunate that patients have to be treated as a number and talked down at at times. They make it hard to speak directly with a nurse when someone has a question or needs some form of assistance from a nurse. I understand they are busy but properly explaining things without an attitude well work fine. That's why I hardly make appointments and go to other locations where I receive much better service and care as well. I can say there are some great people whom work here but there are some who are very rude and inconsiderate especially over the phone.

Valets at 1801 bldg are wonderful. Always helpful and kind. No matter the weather,or sunny or gloomy. They are always kind. Great staff

The woman that work the Lab where they take your blood are very rude and unprofessional. They curse, roll there eyes at you, and have really bad customer service.

Giving it 3. Rating over multiple visits. Please note they open it 8am not 7am like it says on the web. Very few chairs to sit outside of office until it opens up. Drs/ nurses seem very burned out.edit: they do NOT SEE YOU AS A WALK IN / OR MAKE URGENT APPT. they just send you elsewhere ( miles square that doesnt open until 12pm) How are parents to get medical care for their kids with this debacle.

Do not go here unless you have a day to spare! Wait time is ridiculously LONG!!! What's the point of having an appointment??? Two hours in waiting area! Another hour in room waiting to be seen! Just RIDICULOUS!!!

DO NOT USE THIS OFFICE IF YOU ARE A TYPE 1 DIABETIC. RUN. Worst communication, no one knows what’s going on. Last appointment I had the doctor was an hour late!! Showed face for 5 minutes and did nothing. I have to track them down to get anything done. It shouldn’t be this stressful going to a specialist.

Ive been a patient at ui health for 3 years plus. I think this hospital is giving me the best care possible. Highly recommended.

Hi I contact my Doctor for a RX refill, on the port11/9/2021. Need blood pressure medicine ASAP. Call the Doctor 11/10/2021 2 times today. Also call the Nurse 2 times 11/10/2021.Next ask for manager to help with this problem. Who do I need to talk with or call to get my RX, I’m out of pills and my other medication too. Rush Hospital is a cross the Street. Maybe I will Go there DR. U. I C.

I would like to personally give Dr. Jayaram with maternal and fetal medicine a big shout out. She specializes in high risks pregnancies (specifically with mommies that have preeclamsia) and she takes great care of you! She’s awesome and I highly recommend her to anyone with history of preeclampsia! UIC itself is the best hospital and clinic in my opinion. Very clean & welcoming atmosphere. The doctors and nursing staff take great care of you in Labor & Delivery, the NICU staff are beyond fantastic and they also take very good care of your baby. Overall I have no complaints with my stay, even the food gets 5 stars. This place is like no other. Thanks UIC!

This hospital is by far, the best medical facility that I have ever visited and have been treated by! From the doctors, down to the security guard who sits at the entrance from the parking garage! Everyone who I have encountered, has not only been professional but also friendly and very helpful!

UIC is a wonderful hospital and is a great teaching hospital. I do find that as some of the doctors are younger there seems to be a breakdown in communication. Had an appointment at 1;00pm , arrived at 12:15pm. The doctor did not show up until 1:18pm. No apology no excuse. It was a very unprofessional experience.
