I originally came into the lab for a test, not realizing that I needed a doctor's order. The person I met with to fill out that information was able to redirect me to where I wanted to go and was very helpful in filling out the rest of my information and making sure that my insurance would be in network as well as what to expect with copay. Then I went to the immediate care, where they let me know in advance that they wouldn't be able to do any blood tests. They were friendly and super helpful in going over alternative facilities in the area and finding the best move for my purposes

I will never go to this location again! There was no wait at all because no one was there and I can see why. I had a cough and was spitting up green phlegm so I made an appointment. About the only care I received was my temperature taken, no fever. Of course the first question is do I want a covid test or did I already take one at home, answered no to both questions. I've had bronchitis many times in the past so pretty sure that's what it was. They wanted to do a chest x-ray but not prescribe an antibiotic, asked if I wanted a cough medicine. I received the bill in the mail yesterday, $840.00!!!! Insurance covered $346.00 and total adjustments, whatever that means, was $296.04 which leaves my portion of the bill due $197.43 for getting my temperature taken!

In my life I’ve only left like 2 other reviews of an establishment. It says a lot when I go out of my way to leave one. Went to the Lombard Immediate care location for nausea that has lasted over 3 weeks and stomach pain. Unable to eat and had not be able to go to the bathroom in 4 days. As soon as I gave the APN my list of medications she was convinced of what I had. My primary doctor and I had already a conversation 3 days prior in which she stated she did not believe there was any correlation with my medication and my symptoms due to my history with previous persistent stomach problems. But the APN could not bother to actually listen to my concerns before she had already made up her mind. All I was given was nausea medication through an IV and a drip “and that’s all they could do if I wanted”. Nothing was done about not being able to go to the bathroom for that long, writing this post still unable to. No scans were performed to make sure I had no obstructions or anything of concern as she believed they were unnecessary. The only thing she checked were my vitals and lab work. My heart was not even listened to. Yet my chart states my heart, lungs and ears appeared normal. This is why people prefer to not go to doctors. Only reason I went was because I had been absolutely miserable for the last 3 days, my medications stopped working, and I cannot get into my GI until August. They are so quick to dismiss patients and this has happened to me all 3 times I’ve been to urgent care in my life. Which lets you know I’m not a frequent doctor visitor or a “hypochondriac” of any sort. And you know that bill is gonna come for two min of talking and fluids.

Thank you to Jennifer who did my mammogram on 6/19. She was professional yet very warm and easy to talk to. I've never had a bad experience with mammograms at EEH!

I've put off seeing the doctor for 2 weeks with a health issue because they refuse to let me bring my kids. I don't have anyone to watch them. Probably going to stroke at home because they won't make an exception. I don't have anybody and have no way of being seen because these people are not at all family friendly. I respect that covid is still an issue but if mask mandates can be lifted, you should be able to handle 2 masked children waiting quietly while mom gets her needed medical care. You guys are evil.

After waiting for over an hour, the doctor refused to check or treat me for a sinus infection because I refused to take a covid test. I had no covid symptoms. She told me puffiness in one sinus was a symptom covid. She looked in my ear and then refused to treat me. Followed up with a doctor at a different location and of course I had a sinus infection according to them (no covid test needed). I highly suggest not going to Elmhurst Clinic Lombard.

Very professional and caring technician. Would suggest you hire a larger cleaning crew. Baseboards in the MRI area are filthy!

My 9:40 a.m. 11/25 mamo appointment in LOMBARD went well. However, my 8 a.m. 11/25 appointment with Dr. Lawler in ELMHURST was canceled without notice after I showed up. I confirmed the 11/23 9:40 a.m. text with Y[es] and received the confirmation reply for both appointments. On 11/24, I responded to your 11/18 email asking me to complete the Check-In online. After doing so, the landing page confirmed both appointments for 11/25. I don't know why I was not informed that the appointment was canceled because Dr. Lawler decided to take the day off. I don't understand why the text confirmation or the online Check-In didn't provide cancellation updates. I also should have received a notice through My Chart, a separate text or a phone call about the cancellation. With a new job, I don't have vacation time so I used a day off for doctor appointments. This unannounced cancelation after arriving was extremely inconvenient. I'd appreciate if you could check into this situation so others don't experience the same inconvenience. Let me know if you need further details.

Visited this location last week and had a terrible experience. The plan of care executed by nurse Jacueline Marie Nichols, APRN and supervising doctor was dangerous. Stay away if you care about your health!!

Everyone is so kind here, and patient and so good at explaining what's going on. This is the only healthcare facility I've ever been to that has verbally said "I hope you feel better soon." So nice

Dr.has been my physician for the past 3 decades. Even though I moved away from the clinic, I would always prefer to see him then anyone else. He is a very genuinely caring person who treats medical issues but also provides advice for family related issues.

I come to an urgent care for urgent care. All I needed was to see a doctor for some prednisone, I am an asthmatic. They advised me it’s a two hour wait. Most of those people (as far as I saw on the woman at the doors sheet) were just getting a covid test. There needs to be a separate procedure for covid tests. As someone who we are supposedly supposed to be protecting from covid, I sure have a hard time getting in ANYWHERE. I end up having to go to the emergency room where legally they have to take me first if I cannot breathe. Even then I’m wasting hundreds of dollars and 6 hours of my life just trying to get a prescription. Can’t even get in to see my regular doctor. This is getting mad. There needs to be something else put in place for certain requests. This was not the only place I tried to get into either. It was all the same thing. The fear of everyone else is over shadowing and making things harder for people who are trying to manage their health issues. I was born with sever breathing issues. I know the drill of what I must do to take care of myself when I cannot breathe or if I get sick. I can’t even do that because of all this. Basically it’s like everywhere I go I keep getting told to F myself. It’s a giant middle finger to the face.

This is the second time that I have used Edward-Elmhurst Immediate Care in Lombard for medical tests and I am still very impressed with the great staff and how efficiently the tests are administered! Everyone from the reception to the folks in Labs and Radiology were friendly and professional.

Get ready for a huge bill. I went in for a splinter in my finger, it was deep in there. A few x-rays, a shot and about 15 minutes with a nurse cost over $5,000. For less than 45 minutes in there $5,000. To add insult the splinter is still in my finger and before I even got to my car the finger started to bleed and I had to go back in and get it re-wrapped. My insurance paid for the bulk of it, but I am not a person who believes that there is a magic pile of money and rates won't go up. We all pay for it in the end.

November 27,2021 MS. MARY LOU MASTRO CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER EDWARD ELMHURST HOSPITAL 155 E. BRUSH HILL RD. ELMHURST, IL 60126 Dear Ms. Mary Lou maestro, I am writing about my recent stay Elmhurst Hospital NOV 15-20. In particular my stay in critical care for several days. In general my stay in cc for several days was not enjoyable and at times was pretty terrible. One time The urinal fell over in the bed. The Nurse and tech did come in and change my sheets but they never cleaned me up from the urine I was laying in. Incidentally , the last time I was in CCU in June I wrote and detailed how the foley leaked and I lay in urine for 3 hours before anyone came and helped me, In general when I called for help from the nurses or techs they did come in and did what I requested but my feeling was I was kind of bothering them. Also, in CC respiratory came and put a cpap mask on me to sleep and wear during the day. They could not get it to fit good and stop leaking. I had to hold the mask down with my hands for it to get a good fit and stop leaking. They said they did not have another size mask, so I would just have to make do with what they gave me. I believe they should have masks that fit different people as those times I had the mask on were pretty uncomfortable with the bad fit and constant leaking Now I do need to mention 2 nurses that cared for me that were outstanding. Hope Sylvestry was beyond kind. She was kind, compassionate, empathetic and interested in how she could help me. Another young man I had, named Hiland ( I don’t know his last name ) was also outstanding. After a few days in CC you can get feeling pretty grubby. Hiland came in and took some time to give me a full body cleaning from top to bottom. And in general he also was beyond pleasant, kind and just an outstanding person and nurse to me. These 2,--- Hope and Hiland could give lessons to others on how to a good job that the patient appreciates Sincerely and with some regrets, Robert Carrera

I've been here about 6 times in the last 4 years, several visits to immediate care and other visits for tests. I have never been to a better healthcare facility. They are friendly, empathetic, professional, efficient, and knowledgeable. I am always impressed.

I went here for the vascular screenings that you often see advertised. Everyone was very pleasant, from the person who checked me in, the technician, and the nurse who explained the results. The technician was very nice to answer some of my extra questions and made me feel calm and not rushed, while she efficiently went about her work. I would normally have gone to a location closer to Edward Hospital in Naperville, but Lombard had an opening sooner. The entire process was smooth and only minimal waiting time between check in and getting the test, and only a few minutes after the test and seeing the nurse for preliminary results.
