For every doctor's appointment, they charge you for the facility. Health care is expensive enough, why am I also paying to fund their offices when their total revenue as a Non-profit was $1,584,281,491 ? Yes 1.5 BILLION dollars but they want us to pay for the office the doctor uses? Health care scam

On 6/28/2023 at 10:38 I placed a call to the number listed on the website associated with Loyola patient relations about an issue I was having with scheduling and being unable to reach providers and I tried to get some resolve. The woman on the other line yelled at me after I explained the situation, attempted to use another provider’s situation to guilt trip me, kept attempting to transfer me to other departments, and acted malicious and hurtful when she transferred me to the emergency room despite me stating my needs at that time were not an urgent matter but an issue of mismanaged care. It’s been a nightmare for me since then. Im tired, angry, hurt, confused, and I’ve had enough of it.

Lab department is terrible here. If you go to this lab during the week, your waiting for hours. I had to return a 24 hr. urine on Saturday, and no one was working due to insufficient staff? How does this happen at a hospital? The guy behind the customer service desk was rude. He could of tried to get someone to help me, but obvious he worked to hard. SMH

Called 3 times to get an appointment here due to a very painful lump under my skin that continues to get larger. The first call I was told that I could get in same day at 11:30 AM. I was at work and was unable to take that time so I asked if I would be able to get a time on a Thursday and the woman (Jacquelyn, I believe her name was) tells me that she will have to check with the nurse and I would receive a call back. Waited 3 hours and never got a call back. I then called back myself and was told the exact same thing by another person.. waited another 2 hours and still no call back. Called a 3rd time only for them to tell me that because I haven’t been there sense 2017 that I would be considered a new patient and would be placed on a waiting list and the soonest I could be seen is July 30th, over a month away. Definitely will be seeking a new medical provider.

The Lab is terrible here. I signed in almost an hour ago and the receptionist still hasn't called my name. A simple lab test looks like it'll take me several hours to complete. After 45 minutes, the person sitting next to me is called up. She explains she has tested positive for COVID and is here to see a doctor. The receptionist directs her to wait in her car. I was called up to her 5 minutes later and asked if they question people if they believe they have COVID before they allow them in the room; she said no, and she is understaffed and they should do it. At this time, 1 hour after arriving, there are many people standing because the room is so crowded. Very poor management!!!?

Got so tired of dealing with this location in regards to care for my now 1 year old that I switched drs. This is in regard to the staff of Dr Emily Teurke. Omg... where do I begin? First off, on several visits for my daughter, myself or my husband and I could easily be stuck waiting on staff for up to an hour. Scheduling for future visits (say you had to reschedule or plain forgot), you'd have to schedule about 2 months or more out. Lastly, I spoke with a rude nurse at this location .... omg... I had my phone on speaker and was getting transferred....I listened intently and all I heard was hello? Then this nurse claimed I must not have been listening.... she was just rude about it in her tone and made an assumption. Not even a thought about how it could come off to a patient on the other end. So... I'm just glad to be done with them at this point!

Horrible experience with the Burr Ridge lab. Three employees talking about how they will not get out on time cause I was there. I will never use this lab again, which is a shame because it is close to my house and two of my physicians are located there.

I am a transgender woman. I met with Dr Asafu-Adjei,a urologist, at their Burr Ridge facility for a consultation for gender affirming surgery. We had a frank and honest conversation about my medical needs. I gave her two letters of recommendation stating the medical necessity of the surgery that I was seeking. One was from my gender therapist and one from my primary care physician. They both followed WPATH guidelines. Dr Asafu-Adjei scheduled me for surgery. I met with my primary care physician and she ordered pre surgical testing. I had all the testing scheduled and done. I received clearance from my doctor. I talked with my insurance company and had the surgery authorized and approved. I made arrangements to be off work for the surgery and recovery. I made arrangements for transportation and post surgical aftercare. FOUR days before the scheduled surgery I received a call from Dr Asafu-Adjei informing me that the surgery was canceled. She told me that she had been ordered to cancel it because she had coded the reason for surgery as "Gender Affirming" Loyola Hospital canceled my surgery that they routinely perform on other patients because I am transgender. They claim to be LGBTQ+ friendly. They claim to promote diversity. In fact, they discriminate. In fact, they are transphobic. Please be advised.

Went for an MRI. The tech Mark, I believe was awesome and very good at his profession. The place was clean and all went well. They said get there at 4 for a 4:30 appointment so you can fill out a few papers. It only took 5 minutes to fill them out. I did not get in until 5 though. Typical to wait a little for these things though. He went over all the dis and i t"s methodically which I was grateful for. No tvs in the waiting area.

I was extremely fortunate to be able to get an appointment with Neurology here when I suddenly lost the ability to see from my right eye. Before Loyola, I had went to many clinics, the ER, seen different specialists, but received very vague answers with no treatment plan. I was losing hope in being able to lead a normal life again as pain set in behind my affected eye. However the department of neurology here changed everything. I was met with reassurance, clear explanations, and even a treatment plan that started the same day. The neurologist Dr. McCoyd, the program coordinator and APN Amy Ross, and their amazing team of nurses transformed my outlook on my condition and empowered me to take it one day at a time with a more positive attitude. Thank you for bringing a patient peace during a frightening time.

Ever since they built this Loyola satellite in BurRidge many years ago it has been a godsend! I've been a Loyola patient since before I was born. I've had the same primary Dr all my life who was my pediatrician and now my primary. I try to keep my Drs in Loyola. I've lived in the suburbs all my life and wouldn't have it any other way so having a Loyola out here in the 'burbs rather than going all the way to freaking Maywood, BLAH, is AMAZING!

This post in mainly for the Burr Ridge lab. I have been coming here for a handful of years. The check in process at the lab is extremely slow which can really cause problems with getting labs that have to be done in a timely manner completed. I arrived 30 minutes before my trough was to be drawn. It’s now 45 minutes that I am still waiting just to check in. Perhaps Loyola may want to look into adopting a process for check in through an electronic device situated near the lab if they are going to only have one person working their desk. Mayo Clinic offers this and it is so streamlined. You can do better.

The lab is horrible. Here to drop off a specimen. Note on the door said they would be back at 1230. Waited in my car for 45 mins. Came back note said they don't open until 1. I'm in the medical field. Doctor's order specimens, lab wk ect. For a reason. If I pulled this (show up when I want) I would be fired. Need to start caring about your patients!

They quadriple book appointment slots with the assumption that at least two will cancel. Even a 9:00 a.m. appointment can have you waiting an hour or two. This is utterly disrespectful and most of us are working and can't afford to give up a day for an appointment. Also, they're scheduling department is absolutely horrifically atrocious as far as a colonoscopy that was not only changed by them multiple times, but when finally set and I took the medicine and showed up for the procedure. Loyola decided not to send any doctors to that facility that day and I literally was sent home without a colonoscopy and they refuse to return my phone calls now!

Walked in for immediate care at 6:15PM. Hours state their open until 8PM One of the doctors or nurses stated they stop taking patients at 6. The clinic was empty with no patients in the waiting room, and plenty of doctors and nurses walking around. So even though there were professionals ABLE to treat someone walking in with a fever of 102.7, they turned me away because they were "closed". Terrible way to treat a sick person.

Booked an Extremity MRI for my elbow, had to wait 3-4 weeks for the appt but felt worth it given I am very claustrophobic. Show up for the appt to find they have no Extremity MRI machine despite it being all over the website and confirmed by the scheduler. Just wasted 4 weeks (plus a half day off from work) and still no idea what my injury is so it can be worked on. Terrible and highly avoidable experience.

Dr. Ra-Hurka in my 56 years is the BEST Dr. I've had. She is very personable, always an excellent communicator, sympathetic and proactive with needed blood work or any other treatments needed. I would highly recommend her.

Great experience with urgent care and lab. Our entire family has been to this division several times and not only received excellent care but we treated with kindness.

Great welcoming staff an even better loving Doctor. Dr. Wakade is a gift from above. Absolute professionalism. I could not be blessed more. She listens cares and is genuinely concerned and works to make sure our comfortability is a top priority. Thank you Loyola for having an amazing group on your staff.

Charged me $600 for "minor surgery". No surgery was done to me at all. They refused to tell me why I was being charged it. Was forced to pay it so it didn't go to collections. Very unhappy

I did not have insurance, went for hand pain, they talked to me nice, doctor and nurse. They gave me an inyection for pain, next thing, chargers re almost 2,000.oo, over priced for poor people

Very rude stuff, took me 40 minutes of waiting first in the lobby, then 55 min for the doctor, after the nurse took her notes. Immediate care shouldn’t take so long when you come with a baby. They are not busy, the stuff is rude, slow, and lazy. Just couldn’t care less about patients.

Black people are treated so poorly in this nation, no matter how GREAT your insurance is. I went to see "Dr." Dennis Moore and it was the worse experience I have ever had in my lifetime. He is NOT knowledgeable at all and has no customer service skills. He came in and once he saw me he had a poor attitude as if he didnt care to work with a young Black woman. After I described my very severe symptoms with my ear, he asked if I had family medical issues. I said no multiple times and some how he tried to convince me other wise... When that didn't work he tried to convince me that I had "migrains" when I have NEVER had one and don't have any headaches. I stated this and he said " well you you don't have migrains because you think your the expert" I said no, you asked a question and I answered it, I don't have headaches. So when that didnt work he pretty much said even though I have a ton of symptoms that there is nothing wrong with me... THEN I HAD TO ASK HIM TO CHECK MY EARS, HE DIDNT EVEN CHECK IT FIRST! He isn't knowledgeable and is extremely rude and passive aggressive. Never will I ever come here again. STAY AWAY!!!! Update: went to my dentist who ruled out any possibility of TMJ. Which confirms "Dr moore" was just making things up!

I love Dr. Rottier in orthopedics. He did a surgery on my left foot 11 years ago. And at the end of March 2023 the same surgery on my right foot. He took extra steps to insure a healthier healing process. This first foot 11 years ago I had issues and needed 2 surgies done. This time he was overly cautious so I would not have to experience the same situation. He's kind, respectful, answers any questions I had prior surgery and after surgery. However to reschedule an appointment was so difficult. I had to reschedule an appointment since I was in another state and had flight problems. I left many messages with the nurses and I had to keep calling back to get a new appointment. I was persistent and got an appointment in August instead of have to wait till September to reschedule my appointment.

👍👍 This place was great. They did an ear mold for my 96 year old father really fast. The hearing aids came in faster than expected and they made an appointment right away to pick them up. They made sure my dad knew how to put them in, take them out and charge them.
