I
switched
to
LA
Fitness
in
October.
At
the
time
of
the
switch,
I
was
going
to
the
gym
four
times
a
week.
After
joining
the
East
Loop
LA
Fitness,
that
has
dropped
to
maybe
twice
a
week.
This
is
billed
as
a
signature
club,
but
it
is
worse
than
the
two
regular
LA
Fitness
locations
near
my
home.
I
prefer
to
go
the
gym
downtown
before
work,
but
I
was
better
off
at
Xsport.
The
pool
has
been
closed
for
around
half
the
time
I
have
a
been
a
member.
In
my
experience,
the
showers
are
rarely
clean
at
6
am,
8
am,
or
4
pm.
It's
not
all
negative
though
-
in
the
mornings,
the
gym
is
not
that
crowded
and
most
of
the
equipment
is
operational.
There
aren't
that
many
classes,
so
I
can
generally
get
in
the
studio
to
use
one
of
their
heavy
bags.
The
towels
are
nice,
and
the
locker
area
is
clean
and
not
too
crowded.
I'm
not
pleased
with
my
experience
so
far,
but
the
convenience
of
the
location
and
the
potential
for
the
gym
is
enough
for
me
to
give
this
place
another
shot
for
a
month
before
I
go
elsewhere.
A
significant
gripe
may
just
be
the
nature
of
belonging
to
a
cheap
gym:
I
get
emails
weekly
about
getting
others
to
join.
I
was
called
and
texted
repeatedly
to
try
personal
training.
I
was
told
to
download
the
LA
Fitness
app.
But,
when
a
significant
thing
happens,
like
the
pool
unexpectedly
closing
in
November,
or
not
opening
when
expected
to
on
December
20th,
December
27th,
or
January
8th
at
5
am,
there
is
no
contact.
No
notice
over
email
to
members,
or
over
the
app.
Additionally,
the
staff
is
ill-informed.
On
January
7th
at
4:30
pm,
I
called
the
gym
to
check
on
the
pool
status.
I
was
told
that
it
would
be
open
on
January
8th
at
5
am.
As
you
can
guess
from
the
timing
of
this
post,
it
was
not
open
at
6:15
am
today.
So,
no
workout
for
me
today,
and
no
one
at
LA
Fitness
cares,
which
I
know
because
they
didn't
care
when
I
raised
this
issue
on
December
12th.
