We’ve been going to Little Gym for over a year and absolutely love it. Our son is now 2 and we started him in classes just after he started walking. I love that it’s a mixture of structured and unstructured play, which is the perfect fit for our kiddo. It’s been amazing to see what skills he has picked up from class. All of the coaches we’ve had have been wonderful (shoutout to Anna, Daniel, and Vanessa). Every week they have a theme and focus on different skills and give you ideas of what to do at home to continue the theme. The staff is super friendly and helpful. If we can’t make it in or need to schedule a makeup class, it’s easy to do via text or phone call.

Instructors leave me feeling uneasy. My 5 year old bumped her head hard enough to leave a golf ball sized bump on the back of her head. I would not have minded the incident because kids are kids. The problem is my child had to explain what happened after complaining that a “boo boo” won’t go away. Not one individual at the gym notified me of the incident. That means they didn’t know it happened (unsupervised) or witnessed it (didn’t care). My daughter was offered a half full water bottle that did not belong to her twice when exiting the facility (during the pandemic).

We recently organized a birthday party at the Little Gym, and couldn't have been happier with the whole experience. They worked with us to make sure that the food and decorations we provided were set up, they really got into the theme we chose, and were genuinely excited to have fun with the kids on a "parents' night out" on a Saturday night. The place was very clean (they vacuum and disinfect regularly), and the staff was very engaging with the kids, making sure to usher the parents out of the way and on with their evenings. The price was very reasonable considering they took every responsibility and worry away for the entire block of time. All the kids had a blast, admittedly because we peered in from the street window to see everyone laughing and jumping around. It was also nice to see parents be able to drop their kids off and spend a few hours unwinding (a dozen of us went around the corner to Flagship, which was also great). We look forward to going back soon.

It is our first time to join the winter camp here. Like most of the parents do, I was checking whether my child is doing all good by herself. However after I checked in at the front desk. I couldn’t find her in the playground for a while. I asked the staff, and they found her sitting in a corner. I understand teachers are familiar with some of the kids because of the classes they take regularly. But since it is the camp, just no one cared about the new students. One of the staff outside the playground seems like a manager just said to me” oh maybe she is just waiting for you to leave” in very cold tone... just feel bad when they push me to leave the place while i was just tried to check the child’s status in her first camp and she is younger than 4 yrs

We love The Little Gym. Miss Hannah is amazing with all the students and parents. She makes classes very welcoming, fun and full of learning and exploring. I also like the customer service. My daughter was sick and they allowed make up classes with no issue. They also prorated our fee since we signed up later in the year. The facilities are always clean and everyone we have worked with has made the experience worthwhile.

Love this place. Coach Laura is a gift to the children of Chicago. She is warm, encouraging, and so sweet. She teaches lessons such as “You don’t have to be the best but you have to try your best”.

This place is absolutely great!! The way the teachers interact with the kids is awesome and their energy is extremely pleasant. They are very informing on what they are doing each week and what to expect in the upcoming weeks. My daughter loves it here. she makes a lot of friends and gets plenty of exercise. If I could give them more stars I definitely would. I recommend this place to anyone who has children.

We were invited to a birthday party by my friend at 3:30 pm today. The place and its facility look old and they definitely need some works in remodeling. When I walked into the gym with my kid, the gym smelled very horrible. They only allowed us to play about 45 minutes and then we were asked to leave the room and go to the party room. 30 minutes later my friends started packing their party gifts and food. I asked them why and they said we needed to leave immediately because they needed to clean up the room for the next party. Shouldn't the party be allowed for 2 hours? The party just started for 1 hour 20 minutes. How would you kick your customers out? We would never ever consider this place for my kids birthday party. If I could give them 0 star, I would do that. Stay away this place. updated the review to reply the owner: The invitation from my friend was written from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. We were kicked out at 5:00 pm. If I was the host, I would ask for refund.

They charge an expensive annual fee and then don't actually have any convenient class times available (all classes for my kid's age are full and they won't let us go to the next age group). What a scam. Not worth the $$$$.

I am actually updating my review to state how fabulous Little Gym Chicago is. Their innovation and energy has brought light to my son in this very difficult time. He looks forward to his weekly sessions and I am grateful to everyone at Little Gym for giving him something to look forward to and a way to practice his skills. Everyone at Little Gym Chicago is friendly, helpful, and exceptionally good with the children. My sons gymnastics skills have developed really quickly with them and he looks forwards to his sessions each week. I 100% recommend to burn off energy, learn new skills, and build confidence. Thank you so much!

The staff is really nice and hyper! This is excellent because they are daling with young kids. They seem to be enjoying what they are teaching and this in turn has a great effect on kids attitudes.

Both my sons go here and they love it! They look forward to their gym class all week. Little Gym also really cares about your experience. We moved to Texas and wanted to use all our remaining credits before we left. Our last week in Chicago, I almost forget to schedule a class to use our remaining credits and the little gym called me to remind me! That was very thoughtful. Also you can tell it is well run because there is very little staff turnover. We have had the same coaches for more than a year. That seems like a very positive indicator.

Little gym is AMAZING! My son signed up for a season fall-spring and loved it! Will continue having him go when the next season rolls around. It's very clear that the coaches love what they do. I love how each and every coach is so different but I love the way they talk to and interact with our kids. I drive pretty far just for him to come here. We love COACH MADDIE!!! Have also worked with coach banana and coach Laura which are also amazing!

My daughter has been enrolled in the "beasts" class throughout the summer and has grown in many ways thanks to the coach and curriculum. She is more confident and daring thanks in part to these classes. Her coordination and body awareness have increased. Most importantly she loves going and asks for "more gym" throughout the week. While not cheap, these classes are worth the money!

I would not recommend this place at all. I enrolled my daughter, advised the facility that she is out of country and was told "no problem she has 6 months to make up the classes that you have paid for" Go to schedule the make up classes well you can only schedule 1 week in advance and only if the class has a space. So needless to say they have taken the money. I decided to switch facilities and shocking the 6 month time period to book the make up classes changes to 6 days, she can only make up the classes if she continues to pay! This company rolled out an email change to their make up classes mid session, no where did I sign or agree to this. The service level is not up to par, and what my daughter has learned has not been great either do yourself a favor and look at a different gymnastics company that will actually teach your child something.

This place is absolutely amazing!! We started taking classes there a few weeks ago with my 1.5 year old. The class (called birds) included a lot of singing and playing with balls, shakers, sticks etc and always has a theme (ABCs, numbers, "The story of You"). While there are some structured activities(all kids and parents sitting in a circle and singing) there is absolutely no pressure to participate - if you have an antsy kid like I do,its totally ok to explore, climb and run around instead of sitting. After singing a welcome song, the kids can explore and climb around the equipment- everything is padded and secured. There is a skill of the week and the instructor will demonstrate how to do it (rolling, swinging on the rings etc.) Kids are encouraged to try but again, no pressure. If they play with balls etc, the kids are helping to share, and afterwards put everything away. In the end, theres bubbles and a goodbye song. Besides the classes you can also come during their open gym time. which has been a life saver during the winter months. They also offer make up classes for excused absences (=calling before to let them know you're not coming). I have seen a noticeable difference in gross and fine motor skills in my daughter as well as in her language development and I think the classes played a big part. It definitely encourages curiosity, sharing and risk taking, all in an age appropriate setting. Everyone of the staff cares about the kids (lots of laughing, joking and hugging in the lobby). We will certainly be taking classes here for many years!!!!

Too many kids at each class. Teachers don’t give enough attention to each kids. Kids end up just running around and not following any instructions. Teachers also do not make sure that kids are doing the exercise. They just end up running everywhere, which you can do anywhere else and don’t need to come to class for that. During the class teacher can just stare at other place and not supervise kids or if they are doing exercises. Classes are also very short. As class is finishing, you have to rush out from the building as other class coming in right away, so you end up rushing dressing up your kid back. I would not recommend this gym and classes. Not going back again.

My daughter loves it there! They have great instructors and really help the kids learn important new skills! Mila also had her birthday party there. The fact that it was stress free and drop off for the other parents for us was amazing. The parents who stayed were very impressed with the staff who knew all the kids names right away and said it was the most relaxed party they have ever been to with their kids. The kids loved it too. My daughter was worn out at the end of the party and normally we can't get all of her energy out by the end of the day so your team did an amazing job! All happy smiling faces!!

Both my daughters have taken classes here ranging from age 10 months to 3 years. All the instructors are wonderful with the kids and also provide great instruction to parents on how to keep your kid engaged and guide them through new movements and tricks. Classes are the perfect mix of structure and open play for the youngest age groups. We loved our time here!

I don’t think I can fit everything on here so I’ll try to keep it short. We absolutely love the little gym. Such a great spot to have your child socialize with other children, learn new skills, and keeps them active and ready for a nap afterwards. Our son loves every coach and they treat him with the most care and respect and I trust them fully. Summer, Daniel, Liz, Banana and Maddy are just some of the coaches we’ve interacted with that are awesome !!! Parking is also easy to find :) thanks for the great experience LG !

Great place for little kids to explore and advance their physical abilities in safe environment. Instructors are engaging but not acting too exaggerating . They have few minutes of the circle time, but kids not forced to participate, they allowed to explore on their own . There’s is a new skill of the week introduced at every class.

Was excited to bring my son here until they turned him away at the door. Because my 2 year old wont keep a mask on, even though you can see their staff through the window walking around with no masks and touching everything in sight. The website says kids OVER 2 need a mask, absolute waste of time and money.

My daughter Evergreen has been attending the Little Gym classes since she was old enough to be able to. We have attended gyms in Minneapolis and Chicago, both of which have been wonderful experiences. The teachers are very interactive and know the balance of teaching versus letting the children learn on their own. I would recommend these classes to any parent with a young child. Thanks Little Gym!!! Evergreen always loves to go!

Caring, engaging instructors teach children safety, gymnastics skills, and social-emotional development skills like sharing, taking turns, and self-regulation. The progression of class levels are designed to increase children's independence from parents/caregivers. My son gets the opportunity to burn off some of his endless energy while also refining his large and small motor skills and balance. He is also learning to consider the space around his body and increase his awareness of other people around him. We love The Little Gym!

I cannot stress enough how kind and supportive every single staff member is at The Little Gym. They are genuinely such nice, knowledgeable people. It's a perfect environment to get a feel for gymnastics. We're given feedback about our students' progress, but there's absolutely no pressure put on these kids. I haven't heard the same about more intensive gymnastics programs, but to each their own. While I do believe they offer accelerated programs for students wanting to ramp it up, the focus is not only on having fun and learning skills. Every week there's a different theme on positivity with "homework", such as saying, "Yes I can!" to a new challenge or reaching out to a classmate who may be lonely. I couldn't think of a negative thing to say about these people if I tried. Our oldest daughter tried dance elsewhere (which I believe TLG also offers). We loved the studio and owner, but it was a little too structured for her. So if your little one wants to have fun learning lots of awesome new skills in a positive, amazingly staffed environment, give it a try (I think it's around $30 for a trial class, reimbursed if you sign up). The parent/child classes are also a good way to segue into being on their own in a student/teacher environment. One last thing before I come off like even more of a shill, if you can't make a class and let them know in advance, you can schedule a makeup class anytime. They also offer two hour Parental Date Nights every Friday, so you can drop them off and have a couple hours of freedom. I mean togetherness. I don't recall the cost, but it was a steal compared to what some sitters charge.

My son loves this place and his teacher Ms Hannah. He was once a shy, reserved, cautious little dude. Now he’s a bubbly, fun, cautious bigger dude. So much of his personality and independence has been developed in this awesome environment. Honestly the best money we’ve spent!

As a gym for kids, the space is great! I have been taking my kid for 3 seasons in row. He likes a lot how the classes develops. Miss Hanna who has been instructor of my boy for 2 years... such a warm, charming positive person. Little gym of chicago choose the right instructors: people full of energy, positive, they always smile. It’s a kids place! And it’s perfect to my point of view.

I didnt know what to expect but they always surprise me and higher the standard of their quality in teaching. It is great for my daughter and feels like I trust them. They are also great with letting my daughter develop at her own pace. My favorite is how they teach respect, fun, team building, and confidence at such an early age.

Terrific experience with the Little Gym! My daughter loved having her third birthday here. We will definitely be back and would recommend it to others. My one suggestion to other parents would be to inquire what's possible and what has worked well for other parties. The kids will be hungry after all that playing and the activities are well-timed by the Little Gym so there is time for food and cake!

We love going to The Little Gym!! All of the staff are always so friendly and welcoming. Ms. Hannah is the best teacher! I appreciate how she runs the class with a lot of repetition and songs so my daughter knows what to expect next. The no pressure, no stress method of teaching new skills creates a relaxed learning atmosphere. The class structure is also great for my curious 18 month old who moves to her own rhythm! I love that she has the ability to roam around if she chooses to and it becomes her choice to participate when she’s ready. The open gym times throughout the week are the best to let my little one run around and burn off the energy from being cooped up inside during the winter. There is such a variety of equipment for her to explore and challenge herself on! We’re so happy to have found The Little Gym!!
