Truly I'm so impressed with what my club has done over the last 15 years of me being a member I'm so proud to be in and out of FFC locations and they have done the best they can and then some during this pandemic making it safe! Today I enjoyed my birthday swim!

This Club deserves no stars. When I talked to someone on the phone about canceling my membership they said it was taken care of. They charged me every month for four months and refused to reimburse me. Not only was it extremely difficult to get Samona on the phone (she never called back) when she did I was very shocked at her rudeness. While I was a member every workout was interrupted by multiple personal trainers selling themselves on why I should work with them. After expressing no interest in working with a trainer they should stop asking.... I have never had such a horrible experience with a membership.

I was lap swimming in one of the three lanes. There was another adult in the middle lane, and then a man and a child in the last lane. A couple came in with their two year old and got in my lane as I was swimming laps. I told them politely to please get out of the lane since children were not allowed in the lane while adults are lap swimming. I said she should go in the lane with the other child. She said her child needs to swim in her own lane, insulted me and continued to stay in the lane and refused to leave. Since I was bullied out of my lane, I left to inform management who did not address the issue, and the General Manager tried to turn it around like it was my fault. I was treated so badly by this mean couple and by management, I am looking for another gym where I can do laps in peace without entitled children with bully parents overtaking the pool every Sat and Sunday. I would not recommend FFC Lincoln Park if you like to lap swim on weekends unless you don't mind small poorly behaved children with pushy parents overtaking all of the lap lanes of the pool. I know a lot of triathletes and swimmers who have left FFC Lincoln Park since the pool is not a good place to train on weekends due to the high volume of children.

Beware of the fraud!! I am trying to cancel my membership through end of June 2017 and when i called the club up on June 15th they said that I can continue to use services till end of July since i paid already for it when i joined. This means that we need to give a 45 days notice to not be charged. I actually thought of returning to the club again in winter but I will never repeat. The response from the business is that it is in the contract we sign (they already know that people will have issue with it and they make you sign a contract!!!!)

Came here over the weekend for the first time and really enjoyed everything the club had to offer. There was a lot of thought put into this location. I really enjoyed the spa feel of the locker rooms. I felt relaxed and prepared to get a great squat workout in. Warmed up in the cross training area, where they have everything I like, kettle bells, boxes, and all the cross training equipment you can ask for, they thought of. This location has beautiful views of the city. It was a great to be able to get a workout in the terrace area, where they have a high quality grade green area. I like the dynamic use of the space, a great place to layout when the weather is hot and sunny, and also get a work out in. By the way it's HUGE (the green terrace)! There are great views all around, and they even have a great pool and boxing setup! This is my new weekend spot! I'm trying the smoothie next!

Poor and unprofessional management. Really not worth the money that you pay for a membership each month. Not to mention, the unbelievable enrollment fees. High turnover in their staff.. always new front office/spa staff/ and personal trainers.. which says something about the business.

When we signed up the membership director told us that we can freeze or cancel our membership at any point with no additional cost, the photo below shows his email to us, when we tried to cancel our membership the same person said that we need to pay for additional month ($99) because we need to submit official written cancellation request 15 days before the month starts. and he said this is written within the maybe 100 pages T&C document! and his email is not an official document!! they lied to us just to join and when we asked to escalate this they stop responding to our calls and emails, they don't bother even to explain the situation, bad communication and fraud!

I found this place to be overpriced and overcrowded. I always felt like I was in someone else's way here. Besides the monthly fee they charge a high enrollment fee. They make you pay for the first month's dues as well as the last month's dues up front. That means when you cancel your membership you've already paid for the next month even if you won't be around to use it. Canceling is also a pain because they wouldn't do it over the phone. I had to come in to the facility and sign a release form to cancel the membership. I was a member for a little over a year before I canceled.

I would say this gym has a great overall vibe. Michael was super friendly and informative. Applying for membership was a breeze online and you can use the app to scan in. All amenities are listed on the website. A dry sauna was a huge sell for me. (Around 180 degrees). Towel service, clean bathrooms and workout areas. The only negative is the shower drainage :/ Overall 10/10 would lift again

My second review. Gym lacking essential equipment, and has both ignorant and incompetent employees. Velcro leg straps for total gym for leg workout nowhere to be found. Asked Oz from front deck to locate- not able. He had contacted Dan the trainer TWICE- Dan had completely ignored my requests. 25 min later I still did not had straps. I had contacted Bob the manager with request for monetary reimbursement for my time- I bill 400$/h for my time, and explanation as my workout could not been completed. Seriously considering discontinuing membership and going to gym where employers actually know what they doing and essential equipment present

I've been coming here since moving to Lincoln Park last summer, and I don't see myself going anywhere else. The facility is incredibly clean, very well-equipped, and conveniently located near grocery stores (so I can cut down on trips). Staff are always exceptional. My only complaint is high-ish membership fees, but I don't really make use of the excellent amenities here like parking, the pool, or classes.

I just got a massage recently from Allison at FFC Spa and it was amazing! Allison really knows her stuff! Not only is she knowledgeable about the body, but she doesn’t “beat up” the tissue like I have experienced with past massage therapists. She understands that the tissue needs to be warmed up and worked into slowly to gain maximum benefit. Finally, she has a warm and caring personality which makes you feel comfortable right off the bat.

Always a good time here. Nice staff everyone wears name tags, and they all address me nicely. They even let me jump rope on the deck when it's warm. They even let me catch a breath of air out of my mask when I need it, because it's real hard to workout when your breathing in the air you just exhaled.

I have been a member since July 2017 and I have loved it from day 1. The trainers are incredibly knowledgable and friendly. They really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and included by getting to know you and stopping by to say "hi" and check in on your progress. In addition to the great staff, the variety of free group fitness classes ensure that there is something for individuals at any fitness level. Finally, the facilities and equipment are always clean. This gym costs more than others, but the over all value is unbeatable.

Lived in Lincoln Park for many years and this is by far the best gym. -Most space, weights, equipment, and facilities -Great pricing for what you get (much lower price than Equinox in Lincoln park) -Extremely well rounded friendly staff and community of gym goers -Kept very clean

I love this gym. I tried several other gyms (including other FFC locations) in the area and they don’t compare. I do find the membership a little pricey, but I consider it worth it because there’s plenty of equipment, it’s always clean, and never too crowded. I also used personal training here and had a great experience. Would highly recommend giving this gym a try

There is a reason this was graded as the best gym in Chicago!! The decor is awesome, the trainers are great, and they have some of the best classes in the city!! Find Antonio's classes - you will hate him during and praise him when you are going out later and shaking your new-found booty!

Great gym. The classes are awesome and not packed. perfect place if you want to be able to workout and not have to deal with the crowd.

The gym itself is awesome and one of the things keeping me in the city. Great facilities; the pool is clean and a great temperature, equipment is extensive and new, clean and roomy sauna and steam room, changing rooms are always immaculate and the showers are excellent. Towel service, excellent classes, energetic staff, affordable and well run day care... what more could you ask for. And with the basic membership you also get access to the Old Town gym with climbing wall and Racket Ball court. If I could, I'd probably spend 3 hours a day here, every day. Only bummer is they recently took out the boxing ring to replace it with cross-fit style facilities. Let's hope that fad wanes and boxing comes back in style sometime soon...

Easy to sign up, hard to cancel. Bad official communication via phone and emails. I wanted to cancel my membership because I moved from the city. they tried to charge me an extra month. I have been told I can cancel or freeze anytime when I signed up. The minute they have your money and your bank account information, they don’t care. The worst experience ever. They see their clients as dollars only. I had to pay $30 for the bank to block their charges; what a shame!!!

Nice place. Lots of equipment. A little high prices from what I'm used to in Arizona but for Chicago it's great. Probably best gym in Chitown. Better than CAC that's for sure.

Check out the Spa at FFC Lincoln Park. The spa is on the same floor as the gym, but you don't have to be a member to use spa services. I have seen several different massage therapists here and they are all professional and skilled, especially Allison Webb who I see every month. I have gotten targeted massages that help my neck and shoulder pain. The environment in the waiting room is nice and cozy, and the staff is friendly too.

I just joined FFC in January and I am so impressed. The gym is incredibly clean and the trainers are outstanding. I have been there at various times throughout the day and have never had trouble getting machines or spaces in a class. Everyone is friendly and it is a really nice atmosphere. The classes are amazing because the instructors are knowledgable and so motivating. The free parking is key, too. It is really a great gym.

Great gym to workout in. Very clean every time. Towel service. Sauna. Steam room. Clean pool. Don't need too bring a lock for the lockers. Good working equipment. Great classes and coaches. Awesome training. Outdoor patio is awesome too. Have spa services and juices. Only small things like no Jacuzzi or limited parking to 2 hours. But definitely recommend. I come in the mornings and everything is great. The service is awesome overall.

Very high end fitness facility. Very accommodating. The FFC locations have been some of the most clean gyms I have ever seen. Amongst other extra luxuries, including personal fitness specialist, lounge and Cafes to meet nutritional needs. These gyms have proven to be worth the price and this location lives up to the others.

The staff made it easy to sign up and lied about how easy it would be to terminate the membership. When we showed them what they wrote in their emails when I signed up, they had no answer but to charge a mother month—the worst customer service. The welcoming face will turn into an ugly face when we tried to terminate my membership. What a bad experience!!!!!

Take advantage of the free fitness sessions when you sign up - Arthur is an exceptionally knowledgeable trainer/massage therapist! Only downside is the parking is only 2 hrs.

For the money, you won't find a better gym in Chicago. Well maintained, clean, plenty of variety between machines, free weights and classes. Whatever your fitness goal is, PT staff will help get you on the right path to achieve it.

I need to start by saying that the staff here is amazing. They go out of their way to make you feel like family. I was training for a half marathon when I joined and the staff would frequently check in with me to see how everything was going. Love that part. Great open layout and doesn't feel too cramped which is great too. Just like any other gym it has it's peak hours, but you generally don't have to wait for equipment to open up. I'm rating it 3 stars for reasons that I'm sure the people that physically work at this location cannot control. Every single time I went there I would run into a handful of machines that were either broken or falling apart. Tons of treadmills on the second floor didn't work or were missing control pieces. Then, the benches in the steam room and sauna were always kind of gross. They were all stained up and didn't feel very sturdy. I feel like there was always something wrong with at least one of the showers as well. For one of the more expensive gyms in the city, you would just really expect more. You just have to reinvest money in the equipment/establishment. This would be a 5 star rating if they did that.

This gym isn't great for the price. Compared to the FFC in Gold Coast is doesn't even come close. Something is always broken. Just got Elkay water dispensers less than a month or two ago, still don't have them everywhere. No basketball court. Barely enough chest benches. And the locker room is on a different floor than the sauna and steam. Not much of a difference than going to xSport. Update tips: Hammer strength incline bench, more chest benches, cold plunge (wish list), bball half court.
