I was really excited when a new gym was opening up in 600W. RNG is clean & everyone is super friendly.I've done a few personal training sessions which were helpful in getting me back to working out on a regular basis. The classes they offer are awesome - in 3 weeks of classes I can definitely see a change in my body already.

Having been with the gym for over 3 months now, I feel I can give an accurate review. This is my best experience with a gym; I was at FCC (LP/GC) for 4+ years. The staff here is welcoming, the equipment is clean, and most importantly, I am not constantly waiting on equipment to open up. I’ve also found the other members to be considerate; a great boon to the gym’s overall experience. I’m really happy with my change and would suggest giving it a look if you’re in the market for a new gym. *I have not tried a trainer at this location, but from seeing them work with other members, people seem to be enjoying it.

This gym is in top shape, super friendly staff and above all very clean and organized. The team there makes it a point to make you feel welcomed and valued as a member. I highly recommend this gym for anyone who is looking for a place that has it all and from free weights, machines, cardio, classes and personal training.

Super excited that RNG opened. They did a beautiful renovation to the space. I initially intended to just get a gym membership. After talking with their super friendly staff, I decided to try The Sweat Principle membership. I had always worked out with a trainer but thought maybe a small group atmosphere might be a fun change and motivating. It’s been awesome!! I’ve enjoyed it so much that I talked my husband into joining me. It’s been great doing something together, and we both get an intense workout. With their RNG app & heart monitor, I get to track my results. That’s super motivating and keeps me accountable. I also really love the smoothie bar. Highly recommended Cut Me Some Flax, it’s a great high protein smoothie. Big shout out to my TSP coaches Marc L & Michael M.

Great staff here, helpful, friendly, and motivated. Charles, Brandon, and Mike made me feel completely comfortable in an environment I'm not accustomed to. HUGE space, a lot of new machines, three studios you can use when there isn't a class in session. Speaking of classes, just going to a couple a week is worth way more than the membership cost, in my opinion. If you're in the area, it's definitely a gym you should consider.

River North Gym has most of the equipment you could need and it's very roomy. The shake bar is also a nice amenity and all the employees are very nice. I even had a good experience canceling my membership. Initially, my experience wasn't great. The manager made me pay for an extra month I'm not using and wouldn't let me cancel my account unless I paid for this month as well (technically it IS in their policies). I tried to voice my concern and the manager told me "If you want someone to vent to, that isn't me". Obviously I was upset, but I paid to be done with it and left a poor review here. It wasn't until a higher manager personally called me and waive my fees that I changed my mind. Not a lot of people would go through that work to keep customers happy, even former ones. Jeremy managed to turn my sour experience canceling into a positive one. RNG is a great gym and, ultimately, they genuinely care about your business.

A great option for those working in 600W or who live in west River North. Awesome space that is rarely as crowded (meaning access to equipment you want) and great workout classes. Plus, you can get access to their other location for when that’s convenient / more classes.

This is simply one of the cleanest, most modern, beautiful gyms I've ever been to. Period. Great service too. Alexis took good care of me yesterday as I dropped in for a workout. I went back today and will go again tomorrow. I highly recommend it.

Terrific gym and excellent value ! After working in the fitness industry for 27 years and owning my own gym I can honestly tell you this gym is the REAL DEAL. My wife and I have been members for a year and we love training at RNG. The 600 W location is very convenient since we live close by but they also offer free 2 hour parking. Free weights, Yoga, Spinning, Group fitness and much more all included in our membership. I also highly recommend the coffee/ protein bar plus they just added physical therapy by Athletico which I'm currently using to rehab after shoulder surgery. Congratulations team RNG with 2 beautiful locations. Must try Chicago !

I absolutely love going to RNG at 600 W. They have all the equipment you would need to train yourself, most importantly everyone who works there is genuinely nice. I used to train with Stephanne. She is very knowledgeable, and will work with you to figure out what works best for you and most importantly how you should be training yourself. I would highly recommend her if you want to build strength and muscle.

Not enough classes, also sign in required for classes. If you show up without sign in, instructor is calling your name for showing up without sign in. Few times, instructor refused to teach the class because less than 3 people showed up. Wasted the time to commuting, poor customer focus.

Overall Good gym. Good equipment. Could use dedicated bench presses rather than having to set up the rig manually each time. Hours should be longer especially on weekends! 5pm is too early to close... 8pm seems more reasonable

🫤 I've been a member of Planet Fitness for a while, and while the gym itself is nice and the staff are generally friendly and helpful, the chronic issue of the gym not opening on time has become a major frustration. 🫤 You get what you pay for. There’s no AC, pretty dirty everywhere, machines are constantly broken, treadmills are from 1992. They took away all dumbbells. It’s bizarre that a gym doesn’t have dumbbells available. No hair dryer in the locker room. Most of the members are ignorant, they don’t wipe mach...
