This gym used to be good when the workers actually cared..now it’s just workers sitting up front and not cleaning the gym..I always see empty water bottles or sanitizing wipes on the floor. The girl up front has had us waiting for her when she’s supposed to be here before 4:30..last time she came at 5:15..pretty ridiculous.

I don’t understand why this place has good reviews. There are never squat racks open in the evening (they’re always hogged by groups of teenage dudes) and the floor is so disgusting the dirt literally stained the knees on my leggings. Go somewhere else this place isn’t worth your time. The floor isn’t the only thing that needs to be washed either the weights seem like they haven’t had a wipe down since the place was built. Gross!!!

If this place says it is open at 4:30 you would think it would be open at that time rather than 5:20. The opener is late and it’s been becoming an issue. Gym is dirty too and they never fix machines.

First of all...Dirty, unhygienic, place. Disgusting, simply put. Second of all, terrible service. Young people who do not want to work and do not know how to hold a job. Equipment is old and about to break so that is a safety concern. This gym has got to go!!!! Awful managers/management that do NOT care about their members whatsoever. Safe yourself the time and sign up elsewhere.

I don’t know where to start, I only come to this gym to use the sauna and when I ask when it will be ready for use, the direct AGM Adrian told me “ It’s because of Covid” I asked him why they are charge me 65+ for annual fees and he stated “ Atleast all the other machines are working “

I still have a membership here but haven't gone in almost 4 weeks. The gym continues to be dirty, especially the women's bathrooms. Most of the front desk people know me because I remind them when the paper towels or the disinfectant spray are out. I used to go to Planet Fitness before Crunch and Planet's cleanliness puts Crunch to shame. The other reason I also haven't gone for almost 4 weeks is because I used to train with David. He was the best trainer they had and he is no longer there. This gym just continues to deteriorate and lose good people.

Joined the gym since it was close, and it makes a good effort to have updated equipment such as platforms and squat racks. However, the gym is extremely dirty. I was going 3-5 times a week and more than half the time there wouldn’t be paper towels or wipes to clean equipment, trash would be overflowing, and men’s shower smelled like something died in there at all times. I understand people are short-staffed and it can’t be perfect but it always felt like there were 3-4 people standing at the front of the gym doing nothing. Gym etiquette from other peers was also mediocre at best (Weights all over floor, people using multiple machines / areas, etc.). This obviously didn’t help contribute to the overall gym functionality and enjoyment. Tough to set the culture standards with all that going on. Overall a really disappointing gym goer experience.

Today the gym was supposed to be open at 4:30am yet no one showed up for 30 minutes. I left home to start getting ready to go into the office as I drove past the gym at 6am it was still closed. Machines and treadmills have been broken for weeks and the locker rooms and bathroom are disgusting. This is not the gym I signed up for 6 months ago. It appears teens are mostly working there and there is a lack of leadership. I hope the owner actually reads this and addresses this asap.

Really nice gym with great hours. I've been a member for a few years now, and recently management did implement some welcome improvements. The staff is also very nice and helpful when needed. Update: the workout area has gotten significantly busier since the COVID restrictions were lifted. And the gym is cutting down hours to pre-covid schedule starting May 1st. I will wait to see how this will affect the machine wait times. I may switch to a different gym if wait times become too much to bear.

I've been going to Crunch Mt. Prospect since it opened. I've recently noticed a huge improvement in the overall atmosphere of cleanliness and how well kept the machines etc are. especially during the past couple of months. They have hired a cleaner named Jessica who is awesome. The women's locker room is spotless now, and even has fresh flowers on the counters. This is a definite improvement from the past. Kudos to her for making a positive change to Crunch.

Gym etiquette is non-existent and no one who works here enforces it. People will grab plates from bench presses (only having 3 is abysmal, there should at least be twice that amount) when it's completely unnecessary, spend far too long on high-demand equipment, and leave weights strewn all over the place, I've even seen weights left in the locker room before. This also used to be a 24-hour gym that now closes at 11 most nights and only 7PM on weekends. The only time you can really get to a machine without circling like a vulture is in the last hour and a half before closing on weeknights or really early in the morning, otherwise it's overcrowded.

Good gym with a variety of equipment. Can definitely be busy after work hours so I like to go in the am to beat the rush. If you use resistance bands, need a barbell pad, or ankle strap for the cable machines you'll need to bring them yourself though. And most importantly, I love the hydromassage!

This place once used to be an amazing place to workout in. It used to have that cared. Now it’s being managed by kids who don’t care. Equipment constantly broken or in need of repair. It’s filthy everywhere, no keep up with the gym. People who work here are just standing by the front hanging out.. don’t even greet you. Just terrible to see what this gym use to be.

Dirty inside, a lot of faulty equipment, problems with parking near the building. Very incompetent managers and administrators, they have no interest in long-term relationships with customers, as well as the skills to do so.

In my opinion, this gym is exceptional. I have been to other gyms where I felt intimated, unwelcome, or out of place. This crunch location makes me feel the complete opposite. Walking in you are greeted with a smile, a “hello how are you”, and lots of energy. The front desk people actually have a conversation with you, which I really appreciate. All of the front desk employees are kind. Ivaylo is extremely friendly and tries to get to know the members. He has great energy and enthusiasm and you can tell he’s a great addition to management. I recently switched trainers to Arek and I appreciate his fitness ethic. He treats you with respect, kindness, but still stern as a coach should be. I really enjoy working with him and feel like I am already seeing progress. He knows my goals and helps me stay on point with them, holding me accountable. The gym crowd is pretty average--people rerack and clean the machines, don't take too long, and are always courteous. I've never had a bad workout experience here. It's nice to come to a gym with like-minded individuals. I have tried many gyms and it seems the only place I feel I truly fit in is Crunch. Thank you all for your hard work!

I have never been a fan of going to the gym. I was previously at Planet Fitness. Crunch offers so much more. Classes are included in your membership as well as tanning. I also signed up for a personal trainer. Kim is fantastic and I now go to boot camp classes. I hit the gym 2-3x’s a week. Where before I was hardly going at all

You get what you pay for here since its cheap. What does that mean? It means occasional broken equipment that doesn't get repaired for months. This is a humble the xsport. Just don't go to planet fitness

It’s very sad to see how this gym went down. It’s very, very dirty. The gym mats were taken away after Covid, for 2 years there was no equipment in the main aerobics room ( just 2 stinky mats that were a serious biohazard) The cleaning solutions were taken away together with the paper towels on one side of the gym so you can’t even clean the equipment before/after yourself if wanted to. Stuff really doesn’t care about anything at this location. It used to be a decent place not anymore unfortunately.

It is a decent gym. I’ve been going there for 2 years. Prices are good and their summer college deal is great. I wish the bathroom was maintained better. Very dirty and smelly. I also wish they would invest in a bottle refill station.

Great place to train! The workouts are challenging, and the instructors are very encouraging and make trying to get in shape fun. I've seen people from all walks of life and various levels of fitness (beginner to expert) come in and give it their all. Friendly atmosphere, very professional attitude from all those involved

Great Gym, classes and instructors. Luz and Mckenna have amazing classes if you are looking to tone up and build muscle. Work out at your own pace. Ivaylo is the manager there and always there to answer questions and cares about his members. Victoria at the front desk is awesome!

It's ok, went for zumba classes was pretty empty. They don't have pool or jacuzzi but some other things as hydro massage and tanning.

I just had a Crunch One Kick Off with Adrian yesterday, after talking about my goals and coming up with a plan he made me feel very hopeful and very excited about going back on a fitness journey, he really helped me see that the gym should be a place for me to be free of stress and just be myself and it’s the place I can go for comfort and create healthy habits. He was also very good at giving direction and showing by example. He also gave me good recommendations for protein and iron supplements and help me do exercises that I can do while I have tendinitis. He is one of the best if not the best trainers/staff members I’ve gotten to work with (next to Kim Briski who’s an amazing group fitness instructor, and is the best mom) Thank you again Adrian for making our session fun and informative. 😁

I’ve been going to this Crunch for a few years now. I’ve had much success in my gains with the equipment they have to offer. They have a great free weight section as well. The people are really nice and the environment is inviting. The staff is very welcoming. I recommend this gym to anyone of any experience level.

😠 Update: a year later and everything is still broken. Seems like management has given up on maintaining this place. Broken sauna, broken urinal and at least 7 broken machines that haven't been fixed for weeks. Only cold water comes out from bathroom sinks.

😠 I love orange theory just not this location. I have been to many locations (5+ locations) but have never experienced a front desk so unwelcoming and rude. This was my first time at this location and unfortunately I forgot to bring my heart rate monitor. Usually OTF locations will give you one for $5...

👍👍 We moved to this gym to join their USAG team when they opened. Our daughter has improved leaps and bounds do to the dedication and focus of the the coaches. We are blessed to be a part of the PGC family and can not stress enough how we have the best coaches around.
