I
have
been
a
member
at
this
gym
for
quite
some
time
now,
and
it
serves
its
purpose
as
a
reasonably
priced
local
24-hour
gym.
While
it
may
not
offer
the
same
amenities
as
some
fitness
clubs,
it's
suitable
if
you're
primarily
interested
in
a
quick
lift
or
cardio.
However,
there
are
a
few
aspects
that
could
be
improved
to
enhance
the
overall
experience.
One
of
my
concerns
is
that
the
staff
often
seems
more
focused
on
dollars
rather
than
valuing
their
dedicated
members.
They
tend
to
find
any
reason
to
charge
additional
fees.
Recently,
I
was
charged
an
"abuse
of
policy
fee"
for
holding
the
door
open
for
a
couple
of
guests
who
appeared
to
be
struggling
with
the
Openpath
entry
system.
Occasionally,
this
system
experiences
glitches,
causing
guests
to
get
locked
out
unexpectedly.
I
have
personally
faced
this
issue
before,
and
I
know
others
have
as
well.
In
that
situation,
instead
of
expecting
me
to
ignore
their
struggle
and
proceed
inside,
I
chose
to
be
polite
and
held
the
door
without
thinking
twice.
However,
when
I
explained
this
to
the
staff,
they
seemed
more
interested
in
berating
me
about
the
policy
rather
than
understanding
the
context.
It
would
have
been
more
appropriate
for
them
to
acknowledge
the
situation,
remind
me
to
be
mindful
of
the
door
after
staffed
hours,
and
promptly
refund
the
charge
without
further
discussion.
I
treat
this
gym
like
it's
an
extension
of
my
own
home
and
never
had
a
record
of
abusing
any
policies,
so
it
is
disheartening
when
they
don't
take
the
time
to
listen
to
a
simple
explanation.
Overall,
while
this
gym
serves
its
purpose
as
an
affordable
local
option,
I
believe
it
would
greatly
benefit
from
a
more
customer-centric
approach.
By
valuing
the
commitment
of
its
members
and
addressing
concerns
with
empathy
and
understanding,
they
can
create
a
more
positive
and
welcoming
environment
for
everyone.
