Everybody’s Coffee is such a cool place. They have a great mindset of their place being for everybody. It doesn’t matter if you are homeless or a rich business man. It’s a ministry of JPUSA and they do some pretty amazing things in their community and in Chicago. The prices are wonderfully reasonable. They also have a share the love board where you can purchase a drink for someone else and leave it on the board.

Went on Sunday morning, was worried because there was a bit of a crowd but here happens to be a church in the back so there wasn't a line for coffee. I had a mocha maya with had a spicy kick to it. Barista was very good. I also had "the Vader" cold brew with Mexican come and vanilla. It was ok. Would get another mocha instead but I like trying new things. Had crossaints, muffins, donuts and warm breakfast sandwiches. I had a pistachio old fashioned donut and it was good. I will definitely be back.

5 stars because this spot came highly recommended. Sadly their hours are not updated online so we showed up during business hours according to Google but it was closed (picture of “winter” hours included as of 05/02/22). I’ll post an updated review when we visit again!

Great environment to work. Coffee could be a little better given the prices, but no complaints.

I love this place so much! The coffee is amazing, the espresso doesn’t taste bitter or unnatural like Starbucks. The vanilla latte with oat milk is delicious. So beyond happy i found this place, my new go to!

Got a matcha oat latte which was pretty good! Good space to WFH or study or simply hang out. With lots of open tables! Street parking was not an issue around there too.

The coffe is great, but what I like most about this place is that it is the most spacious coffee shop. You can have a real conversation without feeling like you are beign loud or disrupting someone else.

This was my neighborhood coffee shop for three years and I’m sad to move away from it. Excellent food, tasty drinks, and very kind staff. Their pre-order app is also a breeze to use. The dine-in atmosphere is comfortable; I hunted for jobs and had many Saturday morning breakfasts there. Thank you for being an integral part of the Uptown community and keep up the great work!

3rd time ordering from here through mobile only to show up without the order being ready. Average wait time to receive your order is up to 20 mins. Great coffee and food items but horrible efficiency. If you’re trying to grab a quick coffee on the go, go elsewhere or cancel your plans before you decide to.

Super delicious oatchata latte (not too sweet at all), and really nice spacious layout/peaceful environment - good for working. I’ll def be back!

I called in to order breakfast[chicken apple sausage, a biscuit, Cheddar cheese eggs. Prior to hanging up the cashier read back the order to me and it was correct. Upon arrival l added an order of grits to my order. When asked if l wanted the Southern grits my reply to the cashier was ,no just grits with butter in it. Once receiving my food upon arrival l discovered that give the wrong meat which is PORK. I explained to the cashier that I don't eat PORK and the fact that it was in the same container as my food l couldn't eat it and asked if they would remake my order and they agreed, but far what occurred and honestly an insult to my intelligence. My initial order took 10 to 15 minutes to make they were able to bring me back the order within 3 to 5 minutes meaning that they never remade the order that they messed up initially. That I asked them remake on top of that the smell of swine was evident on the food that I asked them not to give me. The grits that I ordered had sausage in them I asked them to give me a new order of grits they simply took the sausage out and threw a new dab of butter on top the smell of pork was Extremely Loud and both containers once I open them. Because of the deceit[ and in my personal opinion discrimination] I will never visit this establishment again and I hope that the owner of the establishment sees this message because I am very disappointed!!!

A lot of fluff without quality to back it with this coffee shop. Which is the exact problem with newer coffee shops that open now a days. Coffee is sub par, pastries are as you would expect any less in quality and we’d have a problem; Especially with how they price their items. All in all, a go to if I don’t have the time. If time permits, save yourself the added fluff and walk down to Klein’s coffee (10 minute walk from there). Wonderful spot and they open till 7pm. Everybody coffee closes around 2pm which really doesn’t help it’s case either.

This place is absolutely well decorated with curated art. But the best part is their food and baked goods. I’ve tried a few things and they’re all phenomenal. But the egg and sausage biscuit is SO DELICIOUS

I love the Grits here. I’ve been coming here for years and never had a problem with my dog until recently, she’s a very small service pet. The person who took our order just assumed I didn’t know the rules and told me dogs were not allowed inside. Luckily it was a gorgeous day and we wanted to sit outside anyway. But please read up on ADA, it’s exhausting having to constantly educate staff. Lastly the table outside needs to be sanded, it’s given lots of splinters. 😬

Really tried to love this place a couple times because of its proximity to our house, but it's always just a little off. Their beans are consistently good when we make the coffee at home, but any coffee I've purchased from the shop (drip, oatmilk latte, americano, etc.) has been lackluster & honestly no better than what I make at home! Further, the guilt-tipping practice is really uncomfortable & gives me anxiety every time I step up to the register. I even brought a friend from out of town who commented on how awkward it is. I like to have the option to tip (don't get me wrong I tip!) but the service isn't GREAT (and sometimes even rude) so it feels strange to essentially force a tip from folks by turning the touchpad around & asking what tip they want to add. We also were told that they couldn't grind our beans because they had a long line, even though I was happy to wait. Feels like you shouldn't sell whole beans if you can't offer the full service-- I'm also a paying customer after all!

9 Dec '23 >Our first visit here and Really enjoyed our time > interesting art, excellent breakfast variety and well served by a friendly staff! The coffee house was bigger in size than I expected. Not usually noted by reviewers, but, the bathrooms are new and SO clean! We were Very Impressed and we'll go back! Nice work to those who work there! Thank-You!! Ken, Stella, Sue & Karina from Edgewater

Cute local coffee shop with a variety of drinks, food, and seasonal specials. I tried the pumpkin spice latte because it's that time of year and it didn't disappoint. Sometimes pumpkin spice flavored things can be rather bitter but their latte was well balanced - not too sweet and still letting the coffee be the star.

I stop in whenever I have a meeting in the neighborhood. The coffee and the service are very good. The tipping is a little awkward as others have mentioned, but I don’t think it’s a bad thing to add an extra dollar to your coffee order (especially when it is already much cheaper than starbucks or dunkin). The interior is wide open, so it’s a great place to settle in and get some work done. The atmosphere is generally quiet and it’s fun to see a diverse range of people stop in to get coffee. My only real complaints are that the bathroom stalls in the men’s room do not latch shut all the way, and the food is not very good. I’ve ordered breakfast sandwiches a few times, but they were way too greasy for me. The bagel is your best bet, but it’s nothing special and feels a little pricey. Overall, I think this is a great place for coffee if you find yourself in Uptown — but there are better places for breakfast food.

I order from Everybody's Coffee at least 2x a week and they are always consistent and amazing. I get the Southern Californian Biscuit Breakfast and a Thai Fighter iced coffee and I'm set for the day! Highly suggest.

First and last time here. If you want your coffee with a side of sass from a barista, go here. But I’d recommend you save your money and visit First Sip or Heritage (both nearby). Also, not dog-friendly despite not having any signs outside of the cafe. The chai is a solid 2/5.

I just wanted to say that I absolutely love your food and drinks!! Everything is good here. My only critique is that the house vinaigrette needs salt to balance out all the acidity but that is all. Keep up the amazing work you all!

Great cafe with a big space to sit/read/work. The staff seemed excited about the specials, and the ginger turmeric latte I had was excellent. They have a big community room they use for events, water you can grab without bothering a barista, and a board games cabinet. It's bright and friendly with cool art all over (including some of their branded work, which is solid!). I've come here to work and to hang out, and it's great for both.

May just be a preference thing, but the two of us that ordered latte’s felt a bit underwhelmed by the taste, almost watery. The muffins we ordered were good and the service was good despite a short wait!

Delightful neighborhood hub with local art and performance space. They source coffee from small business owners and have excellent pastries and a range of coffee and tea. They have friendly and welcoming staff who are colorful and engaging and enjoy participating in a lot of local events such as Taste of Uptown and Winter Walk on Wilson.

I loved the interior! They had a mini art gallery with lovely pieces. The coffee was good as well, but the service was a bit too slow despite the fact they were not busy at all. I like that this coffee shop offers different kinds of milk, from skim to soy to oat. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating makes it an excellent place to study — a great place to pop off the bike trail and grab a coffee and a snack, have a date, or catch up with a friend. I would recommend it as a great coffee spot in the neighborhood.

I've been coming here for years! You get a free coffee after 8 paid cups so I ask my friends to treat me there for coffee and then I make sure to give the clerk my phone number and they add the cups to their magical tally!🤗🤗🤗 Last year 2020 when they couldn't let people sit inside AND outside, coz of the health crisis, I still insisted to get coffee and snacks there, because I have 3 light, folding, butterfly chairs, or stadium chairs, so we still were able to watch passersby and relax AND drink strong coffee😆👍☕😆👍☕😆👍☕

Gotten coffee twice in the past week and I have been pleasently surprised with the service and quality. I got the Thai Coffee served cold and it was sweet and delicious. I also have tried The Vader and it's a unique concept of a cold brew and Mexican Coke from a bottle. I loved both drinks. Will definitely try more of their drinks out in the future. They do serve other basic pastries such as muffins and cookies and they are okay. They also have lunch meals and deals as well on the menu. Service was prompt and quick. Place looks well kept and ample lighting to do some work. Definitely a nice coffeeshop in the Uptown area!

I ordered online for pickup & when I arrived I saw my food where they put their on the go orders but the cashier still rushed over to me & asked me who I was picking up food for. It was only one order there and if they’re that paranoid about someone stealing food just have it behind the counter so everyone has to ask and you hand it to them. I don’t like them acting as if im a thief when I’m a paying customer. And their breakfast tacos are hard. Coffee is good and so is the rest of the food.

Hi there. My fiancé and I like to go on daily walks and support the local businesses in our neighborhood of uptown. We have visited your coffee shop a few times. Not until yesterday did we feel unwelcome. When we walked in, we were never greeted or acknowledged, however every person after us was greeted by the white female barista with tattoos and yes we are a black young couple. We ordered a green matcha and a iced latte’. After we ordered we waited patiently for them, looking at the board of other businesses along the wall. However the entire time we were being starred at as if we would rob and stick up the place. I placed a two dollars tip inside the jar (because many service workers rely on tips) but instead of saying thank you she starred at me as if I was going to steal the jar of tips myself. So we were very uncomfortable and I am hoping the owner sees this. We do not plan to visit again and spend our money there, however please inform your staff to treat every customer with the same respect and dignity as they treat others. As we were profiled and made to feel uncomfortable.

Staff was nice and helpful. Despite not liking coffee I enjoyed their rendition of Thai Coffee! Will definitely stop by if I'm in uptown again :)

When you want to place an order with this place, one thing you must know is you need to wait for 1-2 cups for around 10-15 min, even if they are not busy. This is my second time waiting to pick up 2 cups for 15 minutes, and this will be my last time to buy. But, the cashier is very lovely and calm, and the coffee is outstanding taste.

  • 3/5 C. Anthony K. 1 year ago on Google
It stinks they ran out of biscuits after I waited 15 minutes for my order. The food is always yummy and the staff knowledge and friendly. I didn't get the option to view my recipe even after I made modifications to my order so I don't know if I was charged for any mods I made. Two coffees, a scone and a $9 sandwich came out to $29 and a 20% tip added for friendly cashier service so around $36 for two people. I'll probably try another spot in Uptown.

I have waited to write this review because I was told a manager would reach out and they haven't. The latest incident occurred this past Saturday . First, I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. They are incapable of fulfilling simple orders. Management clearly does not care because this has been going on for months. My orders have progressed to being as simple as possible. I was determined to give this restaurant a fair chance. My first order was for my coworker's who just wanted bagels and drinks. The order was 3 plain bagels, juice, and coffee. As the food was being prepared by the barista, the toaster burns a bagel they show the cashier. Not a big deal. However, once I returned to the office and began passing out bagels. We were given two plain bagels, a half of a plain bagel (bottom) and half of a wheat bagel (bottom). The restaurant was called and they said they would give us a "new" bagel.....As this point my coworkers refuse to do any further business with this place (which was very smart)! My next two orders were placed by app. I simplified each order because I continued to not receive the correct products. My fourth order was for three bagels. When I picked up the order I opened it in the store to check for the correct products. One of the bagels has large growths of mold all over (impossible to miss). I request a manager and showed them the bagel. I asked if the other bagels came from the same place/bag as the mold one. I was told by the cashier they were fine. It wasn't until I verbally asked for bagels in a fresher bag, that I was given a new set of bagels. Management reached out. Apologizing and issuing a gift card and was reassured this would not happen again. Saturday, I had a friend visiting who loves bagels. Being an idiot I placed an order with Everybody's Coffee. My order was two plain bagels and a juice. When we open our order it was two sesame seed bagels, which of course was a food my friend had a sensitivity too. I returned the bagels and requested my money back. I was told a manger would reach out. They haven't. Please do not do business here. They clearly do not care about their customers and have not intent to change that.

Their breakfast sandwiches are just always mind blowingly good. The eggs are so silky smooth and the bacon is decadent and all their breads are to die for! The chimichurri cream cheese is delightful. Ugh, everything rocks.
