I've visited this place a few times lately, take out for now due to Covid-19, their lattes are good and strong, no need to get an extra shot for me. The chocolate croissant was awesome, crispy in the outside and soft inside. Can seat outside and there is paid parking on the street. Will come back again.

I had a xlient meeting here and it's across the bank so very convenient! They had great options for pastries and I like their coffee options as well. Very small tables but nice ambience! I would continue ti have meetings here with future clients. ChaconHomes com

Pretty good coffee. Not tons of options but what they do have is pretty good. They also have some snack options and plenty of clean space to sit in. There were people inside working on computers and visiting with people. I had an iced lavender latte. It was yummy. I don't always go for that because sometimes lavender can taste like drinking hand soap but they managed to keep it subtle enough. Their other choices for flavor are either vanilla or mocha. I'll have to come back for a drip coffee because, in my opinion, that's the real test. Entrance is on the corner

My first time in Gaslight and the latte was great. Tables were comfortably spread out and a lot of natural light. What gets this place 5 stars for me was “More Songs About Buildings and Food” by the Talking Heads was playing in its entirety. I was getting my coffee to go but decided and sit and listen until the album was over. Thanks for a perfect Saturday morning!

Really unique space, it's sad so many are empty! Because of covid 19 but it's a great coffee ☕ I had a cortado with oat milk.

Lovely interior and good coffee. I love to go to cafés when I get the chance and this establishment was highly recommended to me by a coworker of mine. I got the lavender latte and a slice of the zucchini bread. While the latte was good there was something a little odd about the espresso. That said I fully plan to go back. The interior was also lovely very simple and clean but still visually interesting. The barista was very friendly and knowledgeable. It’s also worth mentioning that this place is very easy to get to on public transportation as it is only a couple blocks away from the California Blue Line station.

From lattes to cortados, their team does not disappoint. In terms of consistency, they’re it. There’s a solid rotation of beans through the hopper, and i’ve never heard them turn down a question about brewing. We’re here regularly.

Good coffee, lots of tables for working / chilling, bustling atmosphere, good prices, cute merch. Good spot to sit outside and read / people watch.

Best shop for just straight coffee. The roast is so good. I can't even put my finger on what makes it so insanely good, but it is. If you come here to buy a cup of coffee or a bag of beans, it will be amazing.

Really nice place. The Gaslight special (?) was awesome. Highly recommend. My cortado looked nice, but was just ok. Something was off with the coffee itself. Seemed too bitter or something.. like the taste of coffee that cooled down (without being cold) - just kinda harsh, not smooth.. couldn’t quite put my finger on it, and I drink a ton of espresso and mixed drinks. Highly recommend the place regardless. Very hipster. Great staff.

Cozy corner spot on a great interesection with plenty of natural light. Minimalist menu filled with quality coffee. Nice little place to watch the world (aka Chicago) go by.

You're really great of the rest! What I like with regards to this café is that they simply have my sense of taste with regards to espresso and cakes. It leaves something to be desired, and it's extraordinary. You should be known to many. Hang tight for me to prescribe your support of my companions as a whole and get back here once more. Many thanks!

Quick and easy walk up to order. Only 4 customers allowed inside currently. Great prices. Tasty cold brew with oat milk and I loved the white chocolate cherry scone!

This is my go-to spot for coffee and work. I only get the drip coffee, which is great. They have a really fancy machine that brews it, idk what it does but to me it’s the best drip coffee! No bitterness and tastes really bright and clean. Decent pastry selection but wish they had a hot breakfast option.

This shop has always been a favorite of mine! Thank you very much for providing me with a delicious meal. The coffee was delicious, and the food was delicious. Furthermore, the waitress who delivered my order was very polite and sweet. In addition, the atmosphere was pleasant and elegant. Thank you so much! I'll keep coming back for more!

My friend and I went to this coffee shop after our gym session. The mood is upbeat and youthful. The serving is fine and worth sharing for such a low price. We felt very at home here, it was the perfect place for relaxing. Furthermore, the whole team is friendly and attentive. It is strongly recommended that you visit the coffee shop!

You're head and shoulders above the rest! What I like about your coffee shop is that you have a distinct taste for coffee and pastries. It's not that sweet, but it's also very good. Guys, you deserve to be at the top of the list! You want me to recommend your store to all of my coworkers. Yes, thank you so much, gentlemen!

  • 2/5 jas s. 2 years ago on Google
Guy who makes the coffee isn’t very friendly at all. Asked him for the wifi password and he huffed and stated it’s written on a small sticky note by the register as if I was supposed to notice that as a first time customer. Coffee is way too overpriced and tastes watered down. Menu is pretty small. Not many of any at all food options. I saw none. Overall just unpleasant. Not to mention they’re gentrifying the area. Won’t be returning.

Awesome! Just AWESOME! This cafe/space is unlike anything I've encountered yet! It's super clean for being such a busy spot first and foremost. The barista was such a kind hearted and laid back gentleman. The cold brew was DELICIOUS!!! Some of the best I've had since I started visiting different cafes in Chicago! I'll be back for sure!

It has been years since visiting Gaslight and it was as enjoyable as I remember. The perfectly pulled espresso made killing time this morning the perfect experience.

The espresso tonic is delicious and deserves more attention. The coffee here is great, the space is roomy and there are outlets spread throughout which makes this a great place to relax or work. I want to meet the owner's dog.

Awesome coffee shop. High quality beans and a high quality product. Great atmosphere as well. Tons of natural lighting and unique vibe inside with exposed brick and subtle yet eccentric decor.

Spacious coffee shop with lots of seating! Simple menu and just a few snack options, but a great place to come and do work. My iced vanilla latte wasn’t overly sweet which I like and the barista was friendly. There are outlets all along the wall, plenty of natural light, and light music that’s not too distracting. Lots of free street parking on the side-streets around. I’ll be back!

Spacious coffee shop with big tables to do work at or chat. It seemed frequented by a younger, more artistic-type crowd (20s-30s). The drip coffee I had was full-bodied with rich chocolate flavor. There was a Graham cracker sweetness and not-dry aftertaste to each sip. I’m not usually a fan of columbian beans but this was delightful.

  • 5/5 Matthew H. 8 months ago on Google
Excellent coffee shop and roaster. Highly recommend the cortado or espresso with tonic water. Small selection of pastries. Great place to have a nice cup of coffee and relax; it is never too busy even on the weekends. Their coffee beans are also very good and often rotates throughout the year. Excellent service as well, the baristas and owner are all very kind.

Was nearby and decided to pull the trigger and indulge in some of their whole bean blends. The barista was super friendly and offered me a small coffee in exchange for the purchase. The coffee was great. I look forward to trying some more!

We're in the independent specialty coffee business too. In Chicago, unfortunately, this means we don't have a lot of time to hang out at other excellent cafés. BUT, whenever we find ourselves in Logan Square we know that Gaslight will not disappoint. It truly is a most excellent café!

  • 5/5 José Diego S. 4 months ago on Google
Loved it! Finally a superb coffee shop with spacious coffee with enough sitting where you don’t feel you’re being rushed to leave your table. We had the latte (beautifully made 👌🏼), a drip, and a double shot of espresso (wonderful floral/fruity taste!). I just made some pour over with the beans from Rwanda and oh boy, the most clarity I’ve tasted in years!! We’ll be back for sure!

Gaslight is a great little roastery in Logan Square. the staff was friendly, prompt, and adhering to safety protocols. they have an interesting spot on one of the diagonal street corners, with limited, spaced area for sitting with your takeaway. I'm really glad that they had a stock of natural/unwashed beans. there was only one type, but that's one more than the vast majority of other places selling coffee. I strongly recommend Gaslight if you're looking for natural coffees.

The coffee and the food is fantastic!! Was waiting for car repair and walked over to Gaslight for coffee. Broke up with my regular coffee place the next day, and won't be going anywhere else. Whoever rated their food or coffee poorly, must have been on drugs. :)

I absolutely LOVE Gaslight Coffee Roasters. I first heard of them when I saw their truck at a food truck event in Whittier. Ever since then, I go pretty often, especially to try the different drinks they offer each month. Their drinks on the sweet side, but they are delicious. They have several options to choose from as far as customizing your drink. It is definitely not your typical coffee shop. You walk into and see the walls plastered with punk bands and there's punk music playing in the background.

I thanked your bartender for preparing me a very tasty cappuccino a week ago. I also thanked your crew for serving it quickly. I like the ambiance of your coffee shop because it was so classy and elegant. I couldn't ask for more from you, guys! You deserve to be known by many! You're highly recommended!

Oh, my! This coffee shop was good to stop over and visit! I came here a couple of weeks ago. The coffee that the waiter served to me was ashy and caramel. I like it so much. It must be my first time here in your shop, but I greatly have quality time. Also, I loved the attitudes of the waiters. They wore a smile when they served customers and entertained us well. Besides, I felt comfortable and relaxed when I was around this shop. Thank you!

I love this coffee shop! This shop is my favorite place in this area because the ambiance of this place was so cozy and cleaned. Also, the place is not so crowded. The coffee they had was very satisfying. I like their frappe and cakes a lot. Such a lovely place to have a coffee time break. A must-visit shop!

This is a cool local coffee shop that has done a good job of staying open during the COVID-19 pandemic. They limit the number of people in the store and keep you separated while waiting in line. You can order inside the store unlike other coffee shops that make you order online. They also sells bags of whole-bean local coffee which is a huge bonus for me. Their lattes are high quality and have definitely surpassed my expectations. I’ll be returning to gaslight coffee in the future as my go-to coffee shop in the Logan Square neighborhood.

A cup of coffee with friends turned out to be quite an experience! We stopped at this coffee shop on the way into town for a coffee, saw the menu, and decided to drink. The service was good, the coffee was great, and the ambiance was excellent. I wish we could have returned for another coffee, but we are only here for a couple of days.

  • 5/5 Sarah B. 3 years ago on Google
The coffee was really good as well. The mocha I ordered was perfect. My friend ordered a chocolate croissant and it was good as well. I was going to give this place 4 stars because they didn't have breakfast other that baked goods and I was hungry, but they never claimed to be a restaurant, it is called Coffee Connection after all, not Dennys.

  • 5/5 Cynthia L. 3 years ago on Google
Definitely and by far the best coffee place I've been to in Chicago. the little outside area is the best part, small waterfall, nice quiet music and enough heatlamps to keep you warm. Also, they are open super early and the employees are nice! It's a non-profit which I like as well. There are plugs for your electronics even outside on some tables. It gets full in the late afternoon on weekdays. also, good coffee, except for the cold brew which is very acidic for my taste.

  • 5/5 Jennifer B. 3 years ago on Google
Absolutely love this coffee shop! They have a great selection of coffees, other drinks as well as pastries at a very affordable price. Very huge and clean place, interesting decorations, and accommodating employees. I highly recommend everyone to stop and visit this coffee shop. This is very perfect for me. Highly recommended!

  • 5/5 Annette W. 3 years ago on Google
This coffee shop has a comfortable and relaxing ambiance with nice lighting. The coffee is very sweet and affordable. They have lots of seating and a nice bench outside the shop also. All of the staff are accommodating and attentive to all my needs. They treat me so well to my full satisfaction. I highly recommend this first-class coffee shop.

  • 5/5 Shelly C. 3 years ago on Google
This doesn't look much from the outside, but inside it is a little gem. The coffee is superb, and the service second to none by lovely, polite staff. We came here every morning while staying nearby. The french toast and fruit were wonderful. Don't be put off by the queue, it moves quickly, and is worth the wait.
