Cafe Coffee shop

👍👍 Everything here was amazing. I ordered their honey lavender latte, which I have tried at other locations before, and it was perfect here. The bacon and egg breakfast sandwich was delicious. Would highly recommend as it is a small black-owned business! A lot better than Starbucks I would say. People often mention coffee, staff, good, service,

Loved the feel. ☺️The name really embraced the vibe. Coffee and croissant 🥐was epic. And the barista🧑‍🍳 was friendly and helpful. The espresso made was perfect! Will definitely come back and enjoy another ☕️cup of coffee here! Cheers!

Too much chatter from staff. Yelling customer orders very loudly. House coffee was strong and bitter. Breakfast egg sandwich was okay, bacon wasn't crispy. Rushed-in for a bathroom emergency but the door is locked to the common public. Good thing there's no water fountain.

The quiche was good, cortado was good and the staff were great. This coffee shop in the Rogers Park community is a highlight. Make a stop when you're in the neighborhood.

For those who work from home, you know how important it is to have strong internet connections. When my service went down for 48 hours, I was in need for a quiet and inviting place to work out of. The Common Cup was that place! The server was super friendly and inviting the moment I entered. I never worked out of a cafe and I got the full experience. I ordered the spinach and egg white quiche. It was nice and flakey! I also went with the slow brewed hibiscus plum tea. It was super flavourful and divine. I may have to pay this Black Owned Cafe another visit!

Design and coffee shop is good. The main problem was in coffee. Over roasted and bitter, even I ordered latte But will be back for another chance

I really love common cup. We frequent it a lot if we are working from home and want a quiet local spot with good coffee or as a place to bring your dog for a little treat. The only downside is their wifi can be a little hit-or-miss.

Very cute little cafe with a great selection of drinks and treats. I had a simple Americano with oat milk, it was delicious and the barista (an older black gentleman) was wonderful. The service was lovely - everyone was so kind. I liked how chill and relaxed it was inside. This area is really peaceful and this was a great find during our stay in Chicago! I'll be back!

Ugh we ordered chai latte but unfortunately, it didn't meet the mark. The chai had excess out of cinnamon and the hit coffee wasn't super hot. The service was friendly, the Cafe is a good place to chill. Probably have to try other stuff to make a better judgment.

This review has been long overdue! The owner is so kind and professional and he always knows my order! LOL The workers are also kind and also friendly and I enjoy engaging in conversation. I go there a lot because I work from home and enjoy being out the house. They also have stamp cards for students so be sure to get one of those they come in handy! Most people there are regulars which speaks to the quality in service and food. I always go there and I hope you give this lovely place a try! Its also Black Owned as well <3

Decided to take a walk on over as my roommate mentioned this is a good place. Really nice coffee, delicious chocolate pumpkin bread, fun staff. The vibe is small and cozy. Plenty to read, which adds nicely to the atmosphere. Overall very much a community cornerstone and I’ll be sure to return!

Super yummy drinks and food - had the bacon and cheddar quiche as well as a vanilla latte. The staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and inviting. The cafe itself is very cute and offers seasonal drinks, which is always a win! Lots of different flavors, milk options, and foods. Will definitely be back!

I love Common Cup! I was a more frequent customer before the pandemic and would stop here early in the morning during the weekend. The food and coffee was always top notch. Muffins are an absolute must. Been getting adjusted to the new staff lately and I hope the best for this small business. I am missing my favorite barista, Audrey. She was such a wonderful and down to earth person and made my visits so much better. But I’m happy that she’s moving up in her career. I will say wait times can be pretty mix and I have witnessed several customers leave the shop unhappy. Although this has not been the case for me, I do hope this improves.

My favorite coffee shop in rogers park! the staff is so kind and the pumpkin bread is to die for. The nice man cashing me out recommended a strawberry white mocha? SO GOOD. I’ll be making trips here at least once a week

First time I called and asked if they allow dogs inside. They said it’s okay. I went, stayed there for 2 hours reading and working. I went one more time. No problem. Today I went, got my coffee, sat down, and then an employee said that they don’t allow dogs inside. (My dog is trained and is small. So it didn’t have to do with her behavior). It’s weird they allowed me the first two times, and not today. And also it would have been nice if the employee had told me before I purchase my coffee, when he saw me with my dog.

Amazing coffee spot with amazing service! I had the best cappuccino I have (literally) ever had. They also make the baked goods onsite, the pumpkin bread was to die for, will definitely visit again!

Common Cup is an awesome place ta go fer tasteh coffeh treats, teas, breakfast noms (Classic Breakfast Sandwich FTW!), pastries, and oh so much more. They always have cool art on the walls (sometimes for sale!), they always have friendly staff, the place is always bright and clean. An order can take a bit of time sometimes, but it's out of care, not out of laziness. Protip: get the punchcard! Nine drinks, and your tenth is free, woot! And please remember to return the bathroom key!

Amazing local black owned coffee shop. They make great drinks and use Metric coffee beans. Sometimes it takes a bit longer to get your drink than at a chain restaurant but it's 100% worth it.
