Really good. Their coffee is on the stronger side but a splash or two of simple syrup smooths it out. They have decaf, plant-based milks, candles, roasts to go, large open seating area indoors and outdoors, and a really cool/gritty styled bathroom. I recommend.

There is a good selection of coffee and specialty lattes available at New Wave Coffee. The plenty of seating makes it perfect for those looking to settle in for work or hanging out with friends. The ambiance gives off an artsy vibe, which I find quite enjoyable while spending time here working.

This place is fun for people watching. They're semi-serious about their coffee, though they're more about creating a mind-bendingly hipster vibe rather than crafting quality brew. Tons of seating; you'll often see legions of people working there. I'd say people talking to one another are doubled by people silently and intensely working on laptops. Baristas are friendly as heck--haven't met a stuffy one yet.

Good coffee - but 2 iced vanilla oat milk lattes are $16.59 and I think they should at least list out (maybe legally required?) the up-charge for both oat milk (now often the same as whole) and syrup on the menu. The price would be more palatable if they were served in non-generic plastic cups too.

Very large coffee shop. Busy usually. Several options to buy excellent coffee beans and over great service

New wave coffee is a great place to sit outside and enjoy Logan Boulevard. Whenever I’m in Logan I try to stop by here. The staff is great and the drinks are strong. I always get an iced latte or iced mocha and I am pleased consistently. Would highly recommend you to go in the morning and taking the scenery as people walk by and start their day.

New wave is a great coffee shop with good eats as well. I've enjoyed their ice coffee, tea and sandwiches over the years. Always consistent, nice staff and for me, a convenient location.

Super chill and spacious coffee shop and fits the area very well. The service was great and their lattes were pretty good. Defiantly a fan of this place and will be adding it to my ever expanding collections of neat coffee shops in Chicago.

The 1st question I asked was "do you have any sugar free options" she said no. That was disappointing as a diabetic. They did have Splenda. The place is very spacious. Comfy chairs and long tables. It looked like a lot of people on their laptops and working. The staff was not friendly at all. No welcome in or when I was leaving have a great day. Very mellow chill vibe. My large iced coffee with room to pour my own cream and put my own Splenda in was $5.95. The coffee in my opinion was not my favorite. The person next to me got an apple cider that looked good. I will have to try next time .

New Wave coffee is a Logan Square institution! It never fails to provide a cool atmosphere to work or meet-up with friends. Their tea options are limited but have great coffee and staff are great.

Hands down one of Logan’s best coffee shops. Their drip coffee is elite, mocha latte easily one of the best in the city, and they also have a rotating line up of cool seasonal lattes. Tons of seating options and clean bathrooms. Not to mention the music is super fire and not too loud (so you can actually work here). Curating such a cool vibe! Don’t sleep on the pastries. Amazing donuts. Really everything is great here.

Edit 2/13/14- still love this place, still has the best cold brew and the best bagels. Just wish I could consistently pay cash here. Today I was told I could not pay cash, then my friend right behind me in line was able to. I had exact change, and i mentioned that. Feels like I’m told something different every time. Not an awesome experience. ——— I love this place, I really do. The best cold brew in the neighborhood (maybe even in the city) and the everything bagel is to die for. However, I’ve noticed when getting hummus on my bagel, often depending on the employee making, the amount of hummus is ridiculously small to the point that it’s not even enjoyable or fully covered. It’s so bad that I ask for extra hummus every single time I order (while ordering so the business can charge me extra I don’t care I just want to eat a good bagel, but they don’t). However lately even when I ask for extra hummus, they barely put any on again.

This is a very chill place to get work done. The space is expansive, outlets are plentiful as it's the sunlight and wifi is fast. The staff is very friendly and helpful and food looks good but pastries are not special or made in house. During the cold months make sure to bring and extra layer or two because the doors on opposite ends of this corner spot make for a seriously frigid wind tunnel!

Funky, spacious, artsy spot. Epitomizes the Logan Square vibe. Coffee from Half-Wit Roasters. Open later than most other coffee spots in the neighborhood. Have a printer you can use to scan and fax as well.

The most amazing, if not best, customer service on this rainy Sunday morning. Favorite stop before heading home after a long night at work. I was a bit tipsy and asked for a sandwich. Little did I know they weren't making them at the time. But since it was rainy and slow the wonderfully human with black hair was nice enough to make me one. Thank you so much. 💓

As a seasoned coffee enthusiast, I appreciate the nuances that make a coffee shop stand out, and New Wave did just that. Nestled in a prime location, the ambiance of the cafe is inviting and comfortable, a perfect backdrop for an exceptional coffee experience. I had the chance to try both the hot and iced lavender coffees. The hot lavender was a delightful blend, the lavender notes complementing the coffee in a symphony of flavors that was truly memorable. However, the iced version fell a bit short of expectations. It seemed the delicate balance was skewed by an overuse of lavender syrup, overpowering the other flavors and leaving a rather heavy taste. Despite this, New Wave's overall experience, combined with its reasonable pricing and excellent location, earns it a solid 4 stars. It's a destination that any discerning coffee lover should consider for their next caffeine fix.

The coffee is fine (solid 4/5), but the atmosphere is off, I don't understand it. The whole place feels uncared for, uncozy, and a little loose at the seams. It's like everything was sort of slapped together without any soul.

My favorite local coffee spot in Logan. Sundays are a bit crazy with the farmers market but don’t let that scare you. Grab some coffee and enjoy the market! Huge shout out to Dave & Isabelle who are always so friendly and make my coffee just right.

My new go to coffee spot! It's a cool, quiet, and chill place where you can relax and enjoy your coffee. I go once a week minimum and always enjoy the brief walk and experience as a whole.

I love it here! Their iced mocha is a FAVORITE in the neighborhood—in the city! They always have a good selection of goodies (love that I can get a Beacon donut here). The baristas are efficient on mornings on the way to work and even on Sundays during farmers market rushes; you never really have to wait long.
