I discovered this place after doing a Google search for black owned cafes that were open early and served something sweet. When I walked in the coffee aroma smelled enticing! And I’m not a coffee drinker. What I did order was a cinnamon roll, blueberry muffin, and chocolate chip cookie. I ate the cinnamon roll in the car. Thus, I don’t have a picture of it, but it had all pillowy and cinnamon goodness all inside of it. The blueberry muffin was good too! (Someone pointed out that hum when I eat something that tastes really good. I didn’t know I did it.) That’s what happened when I ate the muffin. The chocolate chip cookie had the perfect amount of chocolate chips! The edge was crispy with a soft chewy center!!! And it was big! I did join the rewards program. The cashier did mention they sell tea too. This visit was from September. I recently went through my pictures and realized I forgot to write a review and post the pics.

I've been coming to the 43rd Street location for quite a few years (there are a few locations on the South side and the suburbs), whenever I want to grab a refreshing tea or a quick, light bite to eat. The coffees and teas are made just right (my favorite is the Honey Ginsing). They serve a variety of alternative 'creams' for every taste palette and those who are health conscious. The cafe's ambience is pleasing, the artwork is nice and the music is perfect. Whether you're meeting with friends, business associates, or just spending some quiet time alone, you'll have a good experience.

The honey latte is phenomenal! They just had one barista the first time I came so the line was a little long, but overall great coffee in a fun atmosphere. PS - Weekend days they had two and it was quick! (Wish they had a gf breakfast food option).

Best coffee shop we went to in the Chicago area. Seriously. Very cool vibe and history. Would return again. Don't waste your time looking for the "best coffee" down town. This place beats out everything else we had downtown. Amazing art.

Hey foodies and coffee enthusiasts! 🍔☕️ I can't contain my excitement about this amazing café! 🎉 I've visited twice in just 2 days, and it's become the highlight of my day! The staff and service here are absolutely top-tier. 😍 Shoutout to the incredible Barista Krystal, who is an absolute gem! 💎 She made my experience extra special by recommending the mouthwatering banana royale frappe, and it didn't disappoint! 🍌🥤 Let's talk about desserts, shall we? 🍰 The banana nut cake they serve here is hands down one of the best I've ever tasted! 🤤 The perfect balance of flavors, it's a true delight to your taste buds! Update time! 📣 My wife and I couldn't resist coming back 5 out of 7 days during our stay. Krystal went above and beyond to make us feel right at home, treating us like regulars. The service and drinks were consistently on point, and the overall experience was nothing short of amazing! 😇 If you're looking for a delightful café experience with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, this is the place to be! 🏠✨ Don't miss out on the banana royale frappe and the heavenly banana nut cake. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! 😋 Cheers to great coffee, friendly staff, and an unforgettable time! 🎊🥳

Really dope place. The service was great and my coffee was brewed fresh. The outdoor patio space was well lit and clean. It wasn’t too noisy and I was able to find great seating to meet with my team. I also love how the local artwork accent the space. It’s a warm and lovely cafe.

Great place to work all afternoon long. It's a calm and peaceful environment. Folks from the neighborhood gather here too and have some amazing conversation. Plus there is plenty of street parking.

Staff eagerly acknowledge you when you enter and provide good feedback on the food items. This is my second time at the 43 at location and it’s nice. Laid back. I’m happy with the freebie I got (via text message) I tried the Bluberey Hibiscus tea with honey and lemon.

Quick (although, it's never fast enough when you're waiting for your first dose of caffeine, amiright? 😂) service and tasty stuff. I've yet to try any baked goods, but they always have plenty when I've visited. The drinks are always great tho. Nice and clean. Cool art on the walls. Definitely worth a try.

The atmosphere, customer service, and food options are great. This is my favorite location to visit. I'm able to focus and get work done without losing much focus. It's so easy for me to get scatter brained. However they have cultivated a space so welcoming, soothing, with an upscale feel. A great space to be to get to know people and the energy from the barista Candace G matches the vibe of the space. I love it.

Great artwork. Friendly service. All around chill, relaxed vibes. You can bring your laptop to do work or simply stare out the window and people watch while sipping your latte and listening to music. A chic, laid-back, well appointed establishment.

We love meeting here for ministry training each week! The tea and coffee and cookies are amazing and the staff are super friendly. And the rewards system is a big bonus. I'm telling all my friends they gave to try it out!

I'm a long time customer. And generally if something is wrong I just let the person at the counter know but I didn't have an opportunity today because I had to grab my coffee and go. Today is the first time I ever paid for a large cup of coffee and got a half a cup because they filled the other half with whipped cream. I've noticed that the service is starting to slide at this location and several others especially 47th Street. Sometimes this happens when businesses are growing but I do expect better considering this is my favorite spot for coffee. Do better. That's it that's the review. The coffee is still amazing though.

Sip & Savor always manages to make you feel like you are home! So happy this is walking distance from my home and I can get here as often as needed. I’ll grab more pics on my next visit as I’ve been so focused on getting my eats! Great reward program also!

Great coffee shop with a cool atmosphere and great artwork in the space. Their coffee menu was pretty solid with lots of espresso drinks. They had a wide selection of teas also. Lots of seating inside and was pretty quiet on an early Sunday afternoon. The honey latte was lights out, highly recommended!

I’m a tea drinker and there’s a generous assortment. The range of coffee drink offers is great too. But honestly the best things about this location are the wonderful atmosphere or patrons that feels like community as well as the welcoming staff. Always a positive experience when I go.

This is a great black owned establishment to support. It is extremely clean and welcoming inside, the vibe and decor inside is a good warm and relaxing feeling, the mochas and cookies are great as well as the service. I went in this morning for a white chocolate raspberry mocha and it was amazing!!! The young lady who was working, Candace was very upbeat and friendly with everyone who walked in the door. She did a very good job wearing many hats while keeping a smile on her face. It felt nice to sit down, relax and do my homework in such a welcoming environment while having something tasty to drink and snack on. I will definitely recommend my friends and family to support this business.

Sip and Savor is a fantastic neighborhood cafe. My favorite are the lattes and cinnamon rolls. There is indoor and outdoor dining. So far, it has not been too crowded. The baristas are very knowledgeable and take instruction willingly. Neighborhood gem.

Lovley decor and great customer service. I ordered large Ice Mocha after reviewing the menu. It was too sweet for my taste buds. This is the second drink from separate locations that was very sweet. If a drink is too sweet, you can't taste the coffee or espresso.

Great local coffee shop. Super welcoming. Indoor seating is limited on warm/hot days, but their patio is great if it is bearable outside.

Delicious food and bev, with excellent customer service in a nice space! Came here with a friend today and had an iced mocha with oat milk and an egg sandwich with cheese on a croissant. Delicious sandwich and just the right size. I think all breakfast sandwiches should be made in croissants! And the mocha tasted very chocolatey smooth and yummy. Definitely want to point out that the gentleman working behind the counter (Saturday afternoon) was delightful, as well. Very kind and personable. For all of these reasons, I'll be excited to come back to this spot!
