Eli was spectacular! We stopped in for brunch and lattes on a cold day in Chicago. We were met with smiles and an infectious enthusiasm! The lattes were excellent and the omelet was wonderful! Light, fresh and not greasy. As we were getting ready to leave Eli helped us get a full 10” Rainbow Cake to take home to Texas! She packaged it for the plane ride and graciously offered a small sample to sweeten the deal! Delightful, professional and always with a smile the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome! You must visit this Chicago icon!

Had high hopes but had a disappointing experience with their coffee. My chocolate croissant was good but wasn't warm as requested. Also, I ordered a decaf latte and flat white. Three times the order was mixed up. The cashier didn't put it in correctly even after she acknowledged it but the receipt still didn't state decaf and then I asked the barista is this decaf and he confirmed yes although the receipt didn't state that. How? My wife is 7 months pregnant and regular latte would have too much caffeine. Later she experienced high heart rate and dizziness. My flat white tasted like a coffee with milk which gave me a stomach ache. Gets extremely crowded and noisy in the mornings.

TOP BREAKFAST! We stopped in for a quick breakfast and it was great. The breakfast sandwich was one of the best I ever had. Only the coffee / espresso was not my taste - but I am Austrian ;-) so for US it’s great 👍🏻

What a disappointing experience! First: the positives. Friendly staff, unbeatable outdoor seating. But for $30, the portion was small (if I hadn’t blown my lunch budget I could have easily eaten somewhere else right after this meal) and bland as heck. Seriously, nothing tasted good or fresh. My honey lavender latte was definitely a latte, but had zero flavor. My protein bowl was filled with tired ingredients that clearly was made yesterday. I was really looking forward to eating here but I would recommend everyone to eat elsewhere.

I always love coming to Goddess & the Baker, at any of their locations. The atmosphere is always bright but cozy, active, clean, and with efficient, competent service. You can always find something interesting on the menu, and it won't break the bank. They never disappoint.

Had good food, line moved surprisingly fast. A little hard to request any additional items with the long line. Everything came out fresh. A little undercooked on a few of the baked goods but would still eat here again. The desserts in the case looked divine!

I went here every morning after my walk. I tried different croissants each day, and everything was amazing. The coffee was also delicious. I had my breakfast there 1 day, and the rest were to go. Cool vibe, great croissants and coffee. What more could you ask for?

If you're in search of a fantastic coffee shop in Chicago, look no further. This place has a lot to offer, but do keep in mind that the coffee experience may vary depending on the barista. While consistency in taste might fluctuate, there's no denying the quality of their brews. Although latte art may not always be present, the flavor and richness of the lattes remain noteworthy. The cleanliness of the establishment is commendable, and the overall atmosphere creates a pleasant and inviting space to enjoy your favorite beverage. The staff members are all friendly, ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable experience. Despite minor variations, this coffee shop is still a gem worth visiting, thanks to its delightful ambiance, cleanliness, and amicable staff. So grab a cup of their quality brew, sit back, and savor the cozy atmosphere that awaits you.

So, my girl and I decided to check out The Goddess & The Baker on a lazy Saturday morning - it's been popping up all over the place, and since I live just a few blocks away, why not? The setup is cute, you gotta order at the counter, and they hand you this little buzzing thing to let you know when your order ready. We were in the mood for a chill morning, so we ordered a Latte (they didn't have Vanilla, though - bummer), a Matcha, a Butter Croissant, and a Chocolate Croissant. The guy at the counter said their lattes are unflavored, but we rolled with it. The Latte turned out pretty good - strong coffee vibes, which was cool. Inside, it felt like we stumbled into a coffee joint in Santa Barbara or something - that kind of laid-back vibe. The Croissants were big, buttery, and fresh. The only downside was the guy taking our order. Honestly, he seemed like he'd rather be anywhere else, with his bland and dry personality. Didn't ruin our morning, but a bit more pep would've been nice. All in all, The Goddess & The Baker is a chill spot for a low-key breakfast. Even though they didn't have the Vanilla Latte, the regular one did the trick, and those Croissants are worth the visit. Next time, though, it'd be cool if the dude behind the counter brought a bit more vibe to the party. We'll probably swing by again to try more stuff on the menu.

Really cute place just walking distance from our hotel. Beautiful view of the river. Had a breakfast croissant sandwich and my bf had the avocado omelette. To drink, I highly recommend the passion fruit lemonade. Enjoy!

Loved this place! The menu had so many options, I wish I could have tried on of everything. Really neat interior, we sat outside to get fresh air.

Amazing views from the inside, very busy location. Good for working remotely but not ideal for conference calls as it can get loud. I had the bacon avocado omelette, I wished al ingredients were mixed but the egg was folded in half and all ingredients were added after the egg was cooked, it was more like a taco with a fluffy egg tortilla. My ambos latter was delicious.

Great atmosphere for coffee and a treat. The menu is very expansive and delicious. The deserts are to die for. I have been here several times and just can't decide as there are so many as my video shows. In addition they have regular food, ie salads etc. I have not tried them yet. Just can't get past coffee and a pastry!

Even with a packed place, the line moved very quickly and our order came out in a timely manner as well! Coffee was delicious and so were the pastry’s! Perfect spot to jump start the day without feeling bogged down about spending too much time on a breakfast place!

Good morning goddess! Perfect breakfast for the morning after when you are trying to get it together for 9:00 Cute pastries, great decor, right next to the river. Got tostada and mocha... both were perfect. I will be back..

Nice location and view. There is decent seating but as it is a busy location it can get filled and busy pretty quickly. On that note, probably not the best place if you are looking for a quieter area to get things done. I got the steak and egg skillet and the iced mocha. The food and drink overall was a bit of a let down. The quality was not quite there: the mocha tasted watered down and the small donut they speared on the spoon tasted stale, the skillet was lukewarm and the steak was tough, and the avocado and cilantro did not seem fresh. I can appreciate the options that they provide, and maybe I visited on an off day.

Adorable cafe and bakery. The treats looked incredible, the decor was welcoming, clean and bright. However - the coffee (I ordered the red eyed goddess which is a drip coffee with two shots or espresso) was underwhelming. As I am attempting to watch my sugar intake, I opted for the hot oatmeal with berries. It tasted good but the oatmeal was ultra-watered down and not very good - also underwhelming and would not order again. I was pleased to see that oat, soy and almond milk options were available. It was also quite busy (8:30am on Wednesday) but as to be expected doe downtown Chicago. A little confusing that my coffee had to be picked up in one place and my oatmeal way back at the front of the line meaning I had to navigate through the already jam-packed payment - ordering area.

Good afternoon I had breakfast with you on October 9th. I ordered breakfast for myself, but the cashier punched my order twice. I noticed this after I paid and sat wondering why my breakfast was so expensive. I looked at the receipt, it turns out that your cashier punched Bacon Avacado Omelette twice, and then he came up to her and said that I don’t need two dishes, just one dish. She corrected it there and gave me a check and said that the refund would be received within 7 days. But already on October 30, the amount has not yet been returned. I'm waiting for my money. Thank you!

Nice relaxing coffee shop next to the Riverwalk if you don't mind the hustle and bustle. Clean tables, good music, and staff was friendly. I was craving a cappuccino after lunch and this place did not disappoint. They have a wide assortment of pastries to compliment their beverages. Want to enjoy the ambiance along the river while sipping your coffee? Just order to-go and cross the street! Such a convenient location. Would become a regular if I lived in the area.

The place is super cool. The pastries are probably why most people return. The drinks were okay (my latte was cold) and the service very confusing. Hard to know if you are suppose to wait or go pick it up. I finished my pastries by the time they brought my coffee (it was several minutes later) Maybe I would like to go when they are not busy.

Nice place and aesthetically pleasing. Beautiful decor and clean and lots of great dessert and bakery stuff including a cappuccino croissant w the cream both inside and out. And they began friendly w milk - macadamia, almond, oat, half and half, regular, low fat.

Best coffee store in Chicago downtown. The views are great. Music is playful. I tried avo toast and it was amazing with red pepper toppings. Overall 10/10

A bit pricey for the amount of food they give you, but the great location by the river walk, fresh & healthy food (with vegan/gluten/dairy free options), unique drinks, and overall cleanliness is worth it. The decor is refreshing and the staff are friendly. Expect it to be crowded on the weekends. I recommend the steak and eggs bowl and the iced wildflower honey latte. Also notable - an LGBTQ friendly space with non-binary restrooms
