Great staff that was friendly and prompt. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed a solid breakfast to start the day. The bacon and eggs were very good as was the French toast. I enjoyed everything about this place and even had to peek inside to see how adorable it was.

The staff was great and so nice , the food was amazing and I love the cozy feel of the place . It feels like breakfast at home and I love that. I would love to go back next time I'm in Chicago! FYI gratuity is added automatically so pay attention you might be tipping twice.

Nice patio seating as long as it’s not tooo hot outside! Service and food was great and reasonably priced! All the Skillet meals sounded yummy! I enjoyed the “Ole” skillet meal!

Exactly what I was looking for. Excellent coffee. Great food selection. Good prices. I had the nova, eggs bennidict with smoked salmon, and a side of bacon. They add 18 percent gratuity to your check. No need to do the math.

As a breakfast spot, it was well worth it! The portions were pretty large and so yummy! My friends and I loved it so much. I also wrote about it on my blog- Plane and Cheesy- for brunch spots in Illinois.

Really nice breakfast spot. Crepes were delicious. Pancakes were ok, a little bit to dry for our taste. Staff was very friendly and we enjoyed a good service. We would recommend.

My husband and I visited this Establishment on August 1, 2022 for our wedding anniversary. We sat outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. I had the Ole Skillet. I wanted to really enjoy this meal and have a great start to our day but unfortunately, this establishment was okay. My Ole skillet was delicious. It wasn't a unique choice so all of the flavors were as I expected. It was a delicious meal, the vegetables that were used were fresh and it was not over seasoned or cooked. The issue I had were with the pancake that I had. They never brought it out. I had to remind my waiter and since the staff enters the restaurant to wait on their other customers, I had to wait to notify him of my missing item. By the time that I saw him, I was done with my meal and wanted to leave. My husband had the eggs benedict with orange juice. He did enjoy his meal very much. He stated that the hollandaise over the eggs was delicious. However, the potato's didn't have much of a taste. Over all, our breakfast mediocre. Had the staff been a bit more vigilant on their clients who were sitting outside, I'm sure our experience would've been much better.

Food was delicious and service was quick. We would return as the servers had many recommendations and the two we got were great.

I came here for brunch alone, and I initially had my pup in my car since I was unsure if the outdoor area was open or closed since it was a colder morning with flurries. I sat at the bar, and my server told me I could bring my pup inside since he was my service dog. I did not bring his service dog vest with me since it was a last-minute trip to get a brunch from the dog park. But I was glad bringing him without his vest was okay, so I picked him up and ordered food. I ordered steak and eggs with a side of sausages for my dog. The food was hearty and a traditional brunch option, especially from a restaurant like this place. My dog enjoyed his side of sausages as well. The server was super nice, and my orders were immediately delivered. The vibe of this place was welcoming and homely. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a place to eat brunch while in Chicago proper. The street parking might be busy or tight, but parking a couple of blocks down is not a problem, and this place is worth the visit.

Had brunch here. The food was really great. The check includes an 18% gratuity regardless of the size of your group, so keep that in mind. Very busy but worth the wait we had to be seated.

Great breakfast spot in Chicago. Good was all very good and service was quick and food came out fast. Family all had something and everyone was impressed. Highly recommend to anyone in town. There is a gratitude added to each bill but with quality of food/service it's worth it.

Fast, excellent service and a great atmosphere. The food was good but didn't "wow" us. I was bummed that the margarita omelet had sliced tomatoes and not oven-roasted as advertised. H/e, I would get the sweet potato waffle sandwich again.

Nice breakfast place which is north enough of the loop to not feel like a super busy part of downtown, but also easily walkable from there. It is in an old house which has a wonderful cozy vibe. I got the southern breakfast and the biscuits and gravy were wonderful.

If you’re going anywhere else for breakfast in the area, you’re wasting your money! Don’t let the quaintness of this little spot fool you. It looks like an old school Chicago diner but it’s truly packed with timeless elements. It’s hard to say which is better between the food and the service. From the time you walk in, you’re treated like regulars and everyone from the servers to the owner is friendly to you. It might take you a minute to choose just one item from their expansive breakfast and lunch menu, but if the food we had today is any indication of the rest of the menu, I doubt there’s a dish you can go wrong with. I’m not even a big breakfast person, but both my partner and I cleared our massive plates. There’s indoor and outdoor dining, perfect for whatever your mood is and even if there is a wait, they turn around tables quick! Our food came out in minutes! The service really is top tier and the best we’ve had in the city. The best part for us though was that they’re dog friendly and my picky pup couldn’t get enough of her scraps. If you’re looking for a fancy ambiance that sacrifices tastes and portions, this place isn’t for you. This is a Chicago diner through and through. They know their speciality and they have hit their mark! We look forward to being regulars at this fun spot that truly started our day off great.

Cozy place with decent breakfast. Conveniently located near majority of the shopping and hotels of Downtown Chicago. Staff was very friendly and helpful with all things Chicago. Breakfast items were all great and portion sizes are quite large. You can definitely split amongst a party. Cinnamon roll pancakes were not overly sweet, but instead had a good dose of cinnamon. Easy to split between two people. Worth a visit while your in town.

Overall a pretty decent enterprise. I had breakfast here 3 days and 2/3 days I had no complaints. It wasn’t anything amazing but overall pretty good and good service as well. The 3rd day the kitchen staff made a mistake with my order and the waiter who tended me that day (unlike the experienced one from the first 2 days) showed bad overall customer service and I had to leave without eating my order. The manager was cool though and she made no fuss of the situation and handled it pretty well coupled with an apology

If your looking a great breakfast inside or out. This is a great stop! The owner is usually around. The whole place is worth the wait. It always is busy. It’s the best!

Fantastic!! The cutest little restaurant was a great find. Excellent service and wonderful breakfast. We had french toast combo and Margherita omelet. Would definitely go back!!

Came here at 9:45 on a Thursday, while there was no wait, I would say the outside was at least 80% full. My server (I didn't catch her name but I believe she had pink highlights) deserves all the credit for bringing my rating from 4 stars to 5. The service was impeccable, and despite me being an aggressive coffee drinker, my coffee was never empty. I got the Ole skillet with pancakes. The amount of food I got for the price was impressive; I couldn't finish my plate. The pancakes were cooked to perfection. While the skillet was a great mix of potatoes, eggs, peppers, onions, and chorizo, I felt it was a little bland; nothing some Cholula sauce couldn't fix though. Last thing, this place has charm for days.

Wow. This was the best brunch in a very long time. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but you really get what you pay for! Would highly recommend, especially for Europeans like us that find the hotel breakfast mediocre at best.

The breakfast here was delicious and the service was great. I got the Nutella crepes with banana and strawberry, and my husband got the chilaquiles. We were both very happy with this place. We'll definitely visit again next time we're in Chicago.

This place is a must try for brunch! We went at 10:30 am on a Saturday and waited outside for about 15 minutes to get seated outside. Typically the wait is shorter if you’re okay eating inside. Such friendly staff! Delicious food! Just good vibes here!
