Places like Hoosier Mama Pie Company are why I’m so jealous that I don’t live in Chicago. They offer several different pie slices, mini pies, and full size pies. Savory and sweet. They also do coffee and espresso drinks. It’s just so cool that there’s a little old school pie shop with seating options to relax and enjoy a gorgeous slice. I had the cardamom blueberry and it was one of the best pieces of pie I’ve ever had. So nice on a rainy day, or a sunny day, or for no reason at all. The woman helping me was incredibly kind too. Well worth a walk or going out of your way for.

Best savory pie, quiches and latte art!! Check out the Halloween art on my cappuccino. Eden, the barrister, id a true artists. Tomatillo pie is extraordinary. Quiches are fluffy and moist. Empanadas were a fun and tasty find

[At pet store on same block as Hoosier.] Employee A: “I’m going to Hoosier Mama. Do you want anything?” Employee B: “I was just there.” Me: “I’m going there now. What would we do without Hoosier Mama?” We all laughed. That is what this place means to the neighborhood. It is full of heart, great food, and did I mention the ginger custard pie? Oh yeah. Pumpkin is amazing too. (I’m gluten free and love the Autumn salad and pies, minus the crust.) Just go.

Wow! What a great place with so many delicious looking options. A friend suggested Hoosier Mama Pies to me and I am glad they did. I did not know what I wanted. A 'regular' graciously made some suggestions which were spot on. Thank-you to the front end clerk Rachel for being so friendly and kind to me. Her smile really lights things up. I ended up leaving with two 6 inch pies - chocolate chess and banana cream. Both are now just delicious memories.

I have been so excited to try the pie since I saw them on TV for a chicago pie competition. We had the Chocolate cream pie and it was delicious. The cream was like a gourmet pudding and the crust was light. $11 for a 6 inch pie. Perfect price for a treat in the City.

Omg. What can I say? I thought I was a fan of chocolate pie until I had their fruit. My husband and I got 3 slices of pie, a cookie, and a handpie (lamb and apricot!). The handpie was so good, we waited in line and ordered 3 more right then and there. The girls behind the counter were working SO hard. The cashier was also making and filling the orders. Go with patience and a smile and you will be rewarded with fantastic food.

Stopped by after my daughter's one month check-up.Chicken pot pie was pretty good. I would've added a dash of salt but was nice and flaky. My woman got the pecan pie and it wasn't too sweet but just right. Pecans were nicely roasted and had a drizzle of chocolate. Oatmeal cookies were amazing, would love an Oatmeal cookie pie from those cookies. Unfortunately my little cutie pie couldn't have any but we'll be back when she's able.

Hoosier Mama is such a great spot for coffee and pie. We went early on a Wednesday morning and sat outside! The iced coffee with the oat milk topper. I found easy parking outside. I will definitely be back soon for another piece of pie soon!

I really enjoyed the spinach pie, and then all of the other sweets!!! You really can't go wrong!! The Kikwetu Kenyan Coffee that they serve as a specialty coffee pairs well with their bakery!!!

Stopped in today and picked up a slice of pie for dessert. Haven't been here for years. I chose the caramel apple custard pie slice. Pie crust was flaky and flavorful. Apple flavored custard was delicious, with just the right amount of caramel. Not overly sweet. Will soon be going back again. Thanks!

A true blast from the past vibe! The interior feels like being transported into a diner from the 50s. The seating area and shop in general is not too big, and there are two big booths that have nice big windows to people watch! The booths do get a little hot and stuffy though when the sun is bright. I adore how you could get pies by the slice here, and they have so many flavors available! I got the espresso cream and lemon chess pies, and they were delicious. The lemon chess was a classic and the espresso cream had a great balance of flavor, depth, and texture! You could also see the pie making process in the back as well! The staff were helpful and welcoming as well. Cant wait to visit again! :)

We went to the area looking for ice cream after my daughter's basketball game and ended up at Hoosier Mama Pie Company. It is a quaint place with great decor. We were a larger group of 9 and the guy behind the counter handled us and all our kids questions very well. He was nice and had no problem with my son asking him over and over again about whipped cream. I ended up getting the maple pecan pie and a cappuccino and they were both fantastic. My kids cleared their plates and everyone was happy in the end. I would recommend this place if you are in the area. I would bet that it can get crowded and busy because of the size but when we went we were about the only ones in there so we all got a place to sit. I love the booths that are elevated by the windows and my son loved the bar stools that spun around. They also take orders for entire pies so I may have to get the maple pecan pie for the next family get together. Thanks Hoosier Mama for a great treat and fantastic staff.

Disappointed with a coconut cream pie I purchased for my mother’s birthday. No coconut is cooked in the custard, and the only coconut on the pie was coconut shavings sprinkled on the top of the pie. Very disappointed.

There is one staff at the counter so the line can be really long if it's a busy day. The decor is very old fashioned. The menu is huge. There's a sanitizing scent when I'm in the store so I was concerned that the pie may not be fresh... I ordered chocolate cream slice and it's okay. It has good amount of cream and chocolate fillings but have to say that I've had better pie

I do not like pie. Let's start off with that while I rave about how incredible this place is. Their chicken pot pie u can tell is made with love. I felt like I was in grandmoms kitchen with a wonderful recipe that was passed down for centuries. I felt the love in the food and each bite came with a warm hug. Hand held pies that look like mini empanadas were delicious. The crust was so soft and crisp at the same time. Filling was perfectly aligned with flavor. The cookie was soft, delicious, and the perfect dessert to end the meal. It wasn't life changing but man oh man was it good. Hoosier cream pie texture was so smooth and creamy. A little too sugary for my taste but the pie did say sugar cream pie. so so so good still but wouldn't get it again personally. Still id say 5/5! This place was amazing. Yes service is slow. Very slow. Ridiculously slow. Took me 30 minutes to even order. But if its an amazing place like this its totally worth the wait. And yes its a bit pricy but where else do u get quality like this. Worth every single penny.

So good, the biscuit Sammie, pastries, and coffee were all highlights of our trip!

Nice cute place with retro decor with a wide selection of pies and other sweet and savoury bakes, plus coffee and caffeine free drinks. Pies are sold whole or by slice. The lemon merengue is one of my favourite pies but I would have liked it to have a ticker crust: the base was way too think and the merengue wasn’t enough to balance the acidity.

Delicious savory items. We had the mushroom goat cheese hand pie, the spinach artichoke galette and the chicken pot pie. The dough is fabulous and the fillings incredible. The chocolate pie was great. The bottom crust so thin and flaky and the edge thicker and flaky. I thought the banana pie was too sweet for my taste. I can't wait to try some fruit pies! I will definitely go back for the savory items. The interior is cute but only 4 tables. There is a patio for warmer weather. Staff were friendly and patient.

Beautiful pies! This place has an amazing selection of pies and they taste so fresh. You can really tell they bake love into these pies, and I want to come back and try every pie they have on the menu. Just recently my husband and I got key lime pie and I’m not the biggest fan of key lime pies but this one tasted amazing and the crust is to die for! All of the flavors worked so well together and it really made his birthday special. Highly recommend!

Lovely pie shop. Feels very welcoming and cozy. The staff was quick and friendly. Ordered a slice of the fruity pebble and pecan pie. Very tasty, flakey/buttery curst. The fillings were pretty balanced didnt taste overly sweet. Also ordered a small banana cream pie, it was a hit at the party. Definitely would be back for some pie.

This place is small however I didn't eat in. I took my pie to go. Ordered in advance and wasn't disappointed on pick up. The pie was amazing. Best Lemon Meringue pie I have ever had. This will be my go to spot from now on. Price is well worth the quality I received. Thank you.
