Worth the wait (5 min. In the early morning) for a memorable Starbucks experience. Staff members were incredibly polite and nice. A very nice staff member on her break gave me the recommendation to take the stairs to the roof top to enjoy my purchased beverage and pastry on there - as the elevator to the roof top would not be open until later in the afternoon. In addition to this much appreciated recommendation, as I was buying food and drink, a nice guest gave me the recommendation to get the Starbucks Reserve 'Bianco' which I would certainly recommend now. This is a great experience and I would even prefer this location over the one in Seattle - as it spans across 5 floors and I will certainly consider a tour the next time that I return.

I’m not the biggest fan of Starbucks but this is a beautiful facility. There’s 4 floors and a terrace at the top. First three are dedicated to all sorts of coffee styles and flavors. The fourth floor has a bar and the espresso martini I had was fantastic. Would definitely recommend this place when you visit Chicago.

Top marks because I visited in January and there wasn’t a crowd. Personally I would avoid the place during the height of tourist season. Really fun and cool tribute to the world of coffee. I got a pour over using their Indonesian coffee. I found it to be dark and a bit woody though it did improve with time as it cooled. I’ll attribute the lower quality at least partly to their automatic pour over machine and method. I did have a fun time and enjoyed it.

We had a great experience at the Roastery. It was very simple to schedule our reservation in advance. We were staying nearby and planned to have a couple drinks before heading to dinner. We could’ve spent a while here though, we really enjoying talking with the bartenders about the coffee and tea cocktails. We ordered a couple of flights - the espresso martinis were perfect and I would recommend any of the tea based drinks. Everything was very high quality and a great start to our evening. The ambiance was great - not too crowded (having reserved seats at the bar helped) but still a lot of energy in the building. I’ve recommended it to a few friends that also had great experiences. Hoping to be back very soon!

An amazing experience for all coffee lovers! I know… Starbucks is commercial and a chain. No comparison to small roasters or independent coffee houses. However, the Reserve Roastery bring you different experiences and amazing flavors. I loved how it is built and I was amazed by the different kind of coffee they offer to you. I discovered new way of preparing, serving and testing coffee and I feel like every coffee lover should spend some time in this place and having an open mind about it.

I am in love with this place, it is beautiful, the atmosphere is great and the staff is very friendly. Our drinks where delicious as expected and I was pleasantly surprised by their baked goods. We had several drinks and pastries and my hands down favorite was the chocolate croissant; it was crispy in the outside, while the inside was full of buttery layers, filled with just enoph chocolate 😋 it was simply the best crafted croissant I have ever had.

Such a great treasure in Chicago. One of only six Starbucks Reserve in the World, and we have it ! We've visited many times and always enjoyed ourselves. This visit, I brought my Cousin from California, and she loved it ! Everyone is always impressed with the sideways turning escalator. So interesting. The rooftop at night is really nice. Even when it's chilly. Each level has different feature. So much fun to visit and see the other offerings. The overhead bean dispenser is reallllllly neat too... Delivers freshly roasted beans to each level station. Definitely worth a visit. Enjoy!

Truly a special place for coffee lovers. Yes, there’s a line; it’s a big city, and everyone wants to try it. I did have to wait a little bit, but it’s definitely a must-visit. The service is excellent, the food is delicious, and the coffee was rich and flavorful, just as I expected. The pear tart was delightful; I came back for more. The olive oil cake was okay. Overall, it was a great experience, allowing me to enjoy a peaceful coffee break during rush hour on Michigan Avenue.

If you will visit on weekend. CAUTION. Crazy lines with 200+ people waiting to enter the location. BUT on the positive note, they let 20 people enter the location every 2 minutes. It’s going to be the most unique Starbucks experience. It’s expensive to dine but worth the taste and experience. Customer service and hospitality is 10/10. 4 floors to explore from beans to pizza, pastry, variety of coffee and mixed drinks. It has escalators and elevator. Plenty of well maintained restrooms and a lot of seating place to dine. I must admit the food I had here tasted top notch and better than regular Starbucks.

If you don't love Starbucks, this place will change your mind. It is the largest Starbucks in the world and 5 story of amazing architecture and palette treats! There's ample seating as well, but since there's always people queuing to enter, so be lucky or be prepared to wait for seating! The coffee here is so much better than the regular Starbucks, which speaks to the trained barristers and quality beans. Wish the regular local Starbucks are half as good. The food are actually decently priced, especially given the prime location. The pizza slice is my favorite, 8 two inches squares in a slice of pizza for $9.

The biggest Starbucks reserve in the world! Definitely worth visiting every floor has something intriguing to look into, I loved the interior and after purchasing coffee drinks or alcohol infused coffee drinks you can always head out and sit at the patio which had a great view of the city. Especially the lights at night are a great view from here for the city. I went during thanksgiving so the line was super long so try to get there as early as possible but the line always moves super fast. Only try the alcohol infused drinks for experimenting unless you really like them because they were not my thing personally. Great reserve! Recommend!

This is more than just coffee, this is an experience. As the worlds largest Starbucks, it includes four floors and a roof terrace. Each level is a different experience. The food on the second floor especially is much more than you expect and would get from any regular Starbucks. They even bake their own bread and sell it - or you can just enjoy it on the amazing avocado toast. The fourth floor is a bar- all exclusive Starbucks products. There is a fun mercy shop and Flip-style message board. However, the show stopper is the building itself. If you don’t buy anything, you owe it to yourself to go inside and take the escalator to the top and come down exploring each floor. It’s just amazing.

Beautiful venue for unique coffees, cocktails, teas, and more. It can be quite crowded on weekends, best to visit on a week day on typical work hours. The coffee beans are quite expensive, ranging from $24-72. I would not recommend unless you can get a coffee tasting, but this service is not available during the pandemic.

My visit to the Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Chicago left a profound impression on my trip. This colossal Starbucks location is the largest I have ever seen, and it is an absolute must-see when visiting the city. With five storeys of incredible interior design, it is a visual masterpiece. The menu at the Reserve Roastery is unbelievably diverse. From a wide range of coffee options to a selection of alcoholic beverages, they have something for everyone. I could easily spend an entire day exploring the extensive menu and enjoying the unique offerings. One aspect I particularly loved was the brand peripheral product section. It offers a plethora of options for gifts, making it the perfect place to find something special for family or friends. The variety and quality of their gift items truly impressed me. In conclusion, I highly recommend visiting the Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Chicago. Its remarkable size, stunning interior design, extensive menu, and captivating Peripheral product section make it an unforgettable experience. Whether you're a coffee lover or simply seeking a memorable outing, this Roastery is a must-visit destination in Chicago.

You haven’t had classic Starbucks until you have enjoyed coffee at the Starbucks reserve! ☕️ Basically, a MUST when in Chicago. Located fairly central in the Windy City. 🏙️ Four floors of fun to make this the ultimate coffee lover’s dream. 💭 Unique food & drink menus on every floor, comfortable seating, cozy fireplaces, magical tubes where coffee beans travel through the ceilings. 🙌 You have to see it to experience the special moments that this specific Reserve has to offer. ☺️ Loved the salmon avocado toast, the fresh baked chocolate croissants 🥐 were to die for, and iced cafe mocha = priceless 👌 If I lived in Chicago I would live near the Reserve! The Chicago Reserve staff was friendly, attentive, efficient, and made the experience just spot on. An item was missed on my order and without hesitation it was corrected! So grateful for this amazing visit!

I've been wanting to visit this place since it opened but the lines were so long, there is a line still there but not much. The atmosphere is very artistic and spacious. Each floor has different items and well planned out layout. The bathrooms are very clean and very modern. The bakery serves variety of delicious items. We ordered cappuccino and croissant and both were really delicious, the croissant was very soft and freshly baked. This is definitely a place to visit and I highly recommend it!

What a unique experience! This is the largest Starbucks in the World and it is a totally difference experience than any other Starbucks location I've ever been. There are 4 floors, and lots of sitting area. Worth a visit just to see what a Reserve Roastery looks like. Pro Tip: This place gets packed on the weekends (with lines), so if you can, come during the week.

This place was beautiful!!! Not a coffee drinker but enjoyed the overall aesthetics of this Starbucks location. I also enjoyed the assortment of house cocktails - including the espresso martini. Definitely a must-see/visit when visiting Chicago! If you’re not a coffee drinker there are plenty of other options and aspects of this location to enjoy.

Came from STL to enjoy a beautiful atmosphere for coffee lovers. I really loved how they checked vaccination and masks at the door. The staff were kind and helpful in helping me decide which beans to take back home. Enjoyed the Gravitas beans in a wonderful mocha latte, which I normally do not like. However, it was hands down the best I’ve ever had, so I ended up bringing some home. Also tried clover pressed Ethiopian beans with just a splash of sweet cream. The notes were so delicious, I highly recommend it. Also tried a hazelnut croissant and a chocolate pastry that I cannot recall the name of. Both absolutely tasty. The shop itself was beautiful, with lots to look at and learn about Starbucks. To say I had a great time is an understatement. I’d love to come back if I stay in Chicago again. ☕️

This is a very popular place to visit. I like all the items that can be purchased for souvenirs. The coffee was good. Their cups are different than the normal Starbucks cups so even those are cool to keep. I’d recommend for any Starbucks fan to visit. It is 3 floors. Top floor is for cocktails

For years, I’d heard so much about this place that I had to check it out at least once. Definitely exceeded my expectations. The place was packed & the lines were pretty long: If you’re in a rush, I’d suggest just getting your food/drink from the starbuck down the streets. Speaking of food: there’s a variety of bakery items that aren’t sold at your regular Starbucks. They serve different items on each floor, so I’d suggest looking around before setting your mind on something. Overall, I’d say it’s a place that you visit at least once. You can even buy a souvenir!

Incredible coffee experience - would highly recommend. They are one of 6 Starbucks Reserve locations in the world and they’re the largest! Incredible cocktail bar on the top floor, experimental coffee bar with Clover brewers for coffee unlike anywhere else. They make their food / pastries in house, very good! For a unique coffee experience try the Clover brewed single origin flight. A picture included in this review, it was the best brewed coffee I have every tasted. A great presentation accompanied by a sheet on how to properly taste coffee and info on each origin. The baristas here are like no other - the best around really. They are all well trained and knowledgeable in all aspects of coffee. Again, I’d strongly recommend coming here to anyone who visits Chicago and enjoys GREAT coffee.

Besides it being a corporate chain. Super fun tourist stop for people visiting Chicago! One of the largest Starbucks with so many floors to explore each one offering something unique. We went for espresso martinis and to explore their new coffees. You can choose the type of espresso that goes in your drink! I suggest the Chicago roast. Everything here is very expensive so beware. But a fun experience to splurge on. Favorite was the whiskey barrel aged cold brew. I’d come everyday just for that.

Cool place to visit. It was packed when we got here. Definitely a tourist destination. Sandwiches were delicious. Desserts were beautiful , but tasted so-so and cost more than the sandwiches. Unique coffee options. Fun to try the martinis, but they weren't something we'd get again. It was a pretty cool experience. Staff were super nice, too.

HUGE! TASTY! HIGH QUALITY! woah sorry I got a bit excited, but this is the BEST Starbucks I've ever had 😋. (they even have a spinning escalator 😎) there pastries and drinks are amazing 🤌 The drinks we just beautifully crafted and tasted so good! 🤠 The desserts and pastries are to die for. (yes literally die for, but please don't die I don't want to give you that idea) The staff were so friendly and I can't wait to come back! also when we went there it was not very busy, so that was good! 😍

Even tho online video told us not to fall for tourist trap and don’t go to worlds largest Starbucks, we still wanted to experience it. It was pretty cool, 5 story and each story somehow similar with little food differences. We went to second floor for food and sandwich options. Prices were almost similar but a lot of tax. Also we had to wait around 30 minutes for simple order.

This was a very cute and unique experience. I recommend anyone visiting Chicago take the time to stop here. I'm not even a coffee drinker but I thoroughly enjoyed the entire aesthetic of this place. I will say, one downside to the menu here is that they don't really offer the typical Starbucks specialty drinks, but I'm sure everyone can still find something to enjoy...we did!

Building was impressive. It was clean, full of coffee and pastries aroma, and coffee facts. There is a circular escalator! The restrooms were very nice. Singular toilet and sink per room and in groups of 4 scattered across the 4 floors. There is a terrace with setting for 30(?) overlooking Michigan Avenue. On the 3rd floor, ordered a gelato coffee and a brownie. Was given a buzzer to let me know when the order was ready. Sat down next to the station and the buzzer never went off. At least 15 minutes later asked what number they were on and was given my order. No apologies for not calling me nor the buzzer not buzzing. There are no Been There series mugs so got 2 Reserve mugs. One more thing, make sure you find a parking spot through an app or business validation to keep down the cost.

Located at Magnificent mile , Chicago this is the world's largest Starbucks store. This 5 storey building has a cafe, bakery, rooftop restaurant and a lot more to keep you entertained. The food is slightly priced on the higher end but the food quality and ambience makes the price look ok. On weekdays this is a good place to work from while having your fill of coffee ☕ and snacks 🍩/ lunch or dinner. Avoid weekends/ public holiday/ event days to steer clear of the touristy crowd.

Dubbed as the world’s largest Starbucks reserve roastery. This place is awesome. 5 floors, each offers different experience. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable. They made everything feels premium. The merchandise were so attractive. And 4th floor provided upscale bar experience. The place was clean and inviting. A must visit even if you are not a coffee person, you will find something that appeals to you for sure.

It’s a Starbucks Reserve Roastery. If you’re a coffee-lover, it is worth the visit. A great way to start your day or kick back and relax after sightseeing. The food is good, and everything around you is artistically pleasing. I enjoyed the bar and trying different cocktails. My girlfriend and I easily spend over 3 hours in a single visit at any of their Roastery locations.

Really unique interior design with plenty of pastry and light-meal options. But definitely go when it's not crowded if you're planning on staying to eat, and preferably when the escalators are working. The way lines wrapped around and made it difficult to walk around and find seating. Otherwise, it's quite a unique view.

Chicago has the largest Roastery in the World!! How lucky to live here! The Roastery is beautiful, very fancy! There was a queue to enter as vaccination cards were being checked which I did not mind considering the pandemic. There are four levels, each level serving something different. Prices are higher than a normal Starbucks but it’s expected, this Roastery is an experience.

Generally, not a big fan of Starbucks coffee but Starbucks Reserve is an exception. A fun fact about this particular shop is that, it's the largest Starbucks Reserve in the world. So, it's worth a visit in Chicago. I've always loved the ambience and the fresh aroma of the coffee and the pastries. My personal favorite is their Hazelnut Bianca. The pastries and flatbreads are phenomenal. Always a fan of their chocolate croissant. This place is crowded during the weekends and the wait time can take 1 hour. I would recommend to go during the weekdays.

An amazing store and the biggest in the world. They have like 5 floors with a roof top. They have delicious pastries and even alcohol. You can see them making the sweets and the pastries. There is a line on each floor but so worth the wait. It is a must visit while in Chicago.

Few visits during summer 2023! Nothing to compare with a regular Starbucks! I was hooked! Atmosphere, cold malt brew, matcha latte are incredible so does the atmosphere! We were so lucky we never had to wait to come in. Prices are expensive but you should experience it once.

Had a wonderful experience visiting Starbucks reserve over the Thanksgiving weekend. Had to wait in long line to get inside but it was really quick. Thanks to the service, it was really quiet even though it’s was super crowded. Window side seating is such a cool experience to have while you sip your fav coffee. You can find paid street parking around the corner, might be a task during the weekend. Attached some of my snaps from this place below…..

1000% recommend checking this place out. Way different food, drinks and vibe than any other Starbucks. We joined the Reveal Tour and that is a must! You get to skip the line going inside, but learn so much about the coffee industry, try amazing gelato and do a coffee tasting! Our guide, Callie was AMAZING and fun and it was just perfect.

Had an amazing tour experience with manager. I’m glad we registered for this experience. At the sweet touch was the private area where she showed us how they make the Chicago coffee and paired with 2 chocolates. We were seated to see the city view it was very intimate. Tried the expresso martini flights.

  • 5/5 Michael D. 4 months ago on Google
Very worth your time to go especially now that they've closed all of the reserve stores. Both the tasting experiences and the cocktails are delicious. One downside is how difficult it is to get a table. They do a go job of turning customers quickly, but even then you're going to struggle to find a spot to sit. Off hours are probably a better time to go if you want to sit and savor the special offerings

  • 5/5 Andrea A. 5 months ago on Google
The line to get in moves quickly! It's a fun experience and there's a lot of merch that is unique to the reserve stores and specifically to the Chicago location. We tried the martini flight and it was fun and flavorful. The servers and staff are amazing, both helpful and knowledgeable. It's a great stop in Chicago just be ready for a short wait and a crowd.

It's interesting Starbucks location. Little overwhelmed with levels options. Little harder to figure out all of the offerings. It's really nice interior love it. Little more on hipster side but that's ok for coffee place. Alcohol coffees are interesting and food tastes great. Definitely gets busy so try coming off main hours to enjoy

Discovered this amazing place on my way to the John Hancock Building. Wow! Great selection of coffee and tea. A whole new Starbucks experience for me. Four floors of amazing space with abundant, beautiful timber furniture and glass floor to ceiling walls where you can watch the outdoor world go by. Thoroughly enjoyed my slice of margarita pizza, hazelnut latte and pasty. Just love it❣️☕️❤️ Went back next day for breakfast! And it was good! 🥰

This is the world's biggest Starbucks where you can have all of their current selection as well as experimental options. They have 5 different levels for multiple things and you can also buy merchandise and other things. Highly recommend this Starbucks to any fans of the Starbucks brand. We visited around night time on a Sunday and it was about 50% full. I didn't see any parking spaces nearby so be prepared for that. The place is really beautiful and has a chill calm vibe.

Each level gets better and better! The bar was our favorite showcasing some of the best coffee cocktails we could have imagined. All staff are super friendly and patient as it can be difficult to initially navigate where to go or where to order. Do yourself the favor of looking up the menus online and have your order ready ahead of time. We got the Espresso Martini and Old-fashioned with cold brew. The tiramisu was also perfect and wasn't overly sweet.

If you love Starbucks or coffee, you have to come here if you’re in the Chicago area! 4 floors of coffee heaven and the whole place is absolutely gorgeous. The food is also good enough to come here for a cute lunch, or even a midday coffee break/snack. They also offer cocktails on the 4th floor, and it’s always happy hour somewhere! I’ve never heard of a Starbucks Reserve Roastery, and I’m from NY so I definitely need to visit the one in Manhattan as well now!

One of the six SB Reserve worldwide - a must visit if you are in Chicago. 4 floors of eclectic atmosphere and awesomeness: bundles of joy of rarest coffee and top floor Ariviomo Bar filled with handcrafted cocktails, wine and beer. Ordering can be through QR App. Be prepared for some wait time as it is always busy- relax if you can find some seating space. Bakery and Cafe are in second floor and experiential coffee in third. On ground floor lot of souvenirs and goodies to buy. You can easily spend a couple of hours here if you are a coffee lover!!

Worth a (reasonable) wait! No lattes here, but even better, flights of specialty coffee and creative cocktails with impeccable presentations. Check out the top floor bar and try the Cold Brew Flight and best of all, the deeply smoky Cold Fashioned. The modern and unique design is inviting and next time I’ll plan to stay awhile. Also the Dyson blade hand dryers in the washroom were cool :)

Talk about an incredible experience. I have wanted to go to a Starbucks Reserve Roastery for a couple years, and it definitely did not disappoint. 4 floors of various drinks and food options. The cocktails were a super interesting combination of coffee and liquor. We also got a flight of cold brews, which came with little description cards that were fun to read.

One of the biggest Starbucks location in America, its more of an experience, baristas are helpful but are extremely busy leading to long wait times, with both outside lines to get in and time for placing an order and to receive one. People are helpful explaining all the details and interesting facts. This location is great for people who want to try new things. Many food and snack options available. One of the few Starbucks locations that serve alcohol.

  • 5/5 Teresa C. 2 years ago on Google
WOW! The largest Starbucks ever, what a cool place! Four floors, lots to choose from, all kinds of specialty meals, coffees, desserts, fruit, you can even have liquor in your coffee here! Such a nice place to visit........they sell souvenirs too. A must see if you are in Chicago!

  • 4/5 Michael M. 2 years ago on Google
There is some what of a wait due to COVID and the lines take some time to go through. Great for the experience not great just to get a cup of coffee. Would recommend the bakery on the second floor. The pizzas are very good. And the Nitro Cold Brew is Starbucks cold brew good but not special to this location. The Cornetto is a great desert or breakfast/brunch item.
