Been to the Kilwins in Hyde Park so naturally tried the one downtown. Great customer service, great ice cream! If you haven’t been here, go! (And of course it’s great that it’s black owned so definitely LOVEEE to support my people!) 🫶🏾 I got the Superman flavor and my mom got the New Orleans praline pecan… definitely did not disappoint!

This store is literally few blocks from where we live. Had a scoop of coconut crunch and chocolate chip cookie with hot fudge. Loved it. Appropriate amount of sweetness which is very important. Definitely recommend!

Wanted some good ice cream and stopped in for New Orleans Praline Pecan & it was a hit! Definitely recommend if you’re wanting delicious ice cream.

Very clean establishment, with an area for prepping the candy apples, smelled very enticing as the caramel was cooking in the hot pot..we picked up several candies with a wide selection. Priced to sell with special's daily..will return once in the area..

Very high price point for a not so luxurious experience. It’s like a old school ice cream shop with in house made candies. Nothing special about this place. I would skip it. A dish of ice cream and a small box of toffee candies ran me $30. Chicago has more to offer, not worth it. This place is card only.

If you like chocolate, fudge, or ice cream then this is a destination must!

Great ice cream sundae and customer service. As soon as you walk in, you can smell the sweetness in the air. Would highly recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed my ice cream!! I love the portion and the crunchy waffle cone. Kudos to the kind man who rendered his service to me. Noticed he kindly & willingly gave kids some candies/chocolates too who were already dining at their place 🍫🍭🍬

LOVE stopping in this shop, especially to buy items for special occasions. The workers have always been very friendly and patient as I decide which delectable treats to get. And, once, I needed an item that wasn't part of what is normally sold. They worked with me to get something that was a fun surprise for my mother.

anna spoon? 🥄 Well I want to spoon all this goodness from @kilwinschicago into my mouth. I got a scoop of the sea salt chocolate caramel and my dad got a scoop of mint chocolate chip in a class waffle cone. We also got fun fudge to go. Kilwins has always been a go to in our family and had to stop by one more time before moving back to NYC where unfortunately there aren’t any Kilwins These scoops are from @kilwinschicago who offers a lot more than just delicious homemade ice cream - fudge, candy apples, homemade chocolate candies. Find your local neighborhood location because this small chain is one of my favs!

LISTEN! I had the Apple Pie Ice Cream and I am speechless. AMAZING! I was also impressed by the associates knowledge of ice cream and the history of Kilwins. Definitely a new favorite.

The ice cream wasn’t special, it was pricey. The waffle cone was homemade and good. The staff were nice and there are 2 tables to sit and enjoy your ice cream indoor.

Great ice cream but $3 more than all the other locations I’ve been to around the country($10 for 2 scoops). Also, no free samples post Covid, darn that’s been a bit of time. Service was fantastic!!

So many sweet treats, so little time. It stayed very busy while we were in the area, and I felt bad for the one girl in there busting her tail to get customers served. She was nice and the whole place smelled amazing, so it wasn't a problem for us to wait in the line! I had the New Orleans Praline Pecan ice cream and my daughter had the Hyde Park Mud (I think that was the name) and we both loved our picks! Great location too!

I have been to this location before and every time it’s the least possible pleasant small talk with their employees. I felt like because of my slight accept, I was ignored on my initial request to buy ice cream. Then, when I finally got my ice cream, I turned to the door heading to leave and realized I didn’t pay. The employee started giving me the attitude the second I requested an order so when I was leaving without paying, I received even more generous portion of attitude. Overall, I am an easygoing person so I said I would never leave a store without paying and apologized but the attitude was still there. I even left him tips though I shouldn’t have. This is my last time visiting this place. I can tolerate and understand a lot but not discrimination of my ethnicity and rude employees.

literally never going here again, had high hopes because on the outside it looks very appealing but the staff did not care at all. The two young men working were very bothered and had an attitude. Considering that everything here was pricey, you’d think the sweets would be worth it but the chocolate covered pretzels were stale, and definitely not worth the price. Hope they hire more friendly staff, but I don’t plan on returning

I don't recommend to buy hot chocolate from this store, it's not sweet and not hot too, when I told the girl who made she just said that what it is!
