Post Covid update. Places opens after 6 pm but I here right now at 7:45 and first customers just coming in right now and DJ is just setting up. He will be playing a wide variety of music and it will not be strictly house music. They are currently only open on Friday and Saturday nights. Not a lot of space to dance but dancing is allowed as I confirmed that today. I have danced the night away on more than one occasion in the past. The bartenders are pouring great drinks. These are NOT watered down and in fact even as a guy I had to show down my drinking as they were stout. Lol. Crowd usually is mostly 40 and up and professional white collar workers just getting off work downtown. Parking is very tight so try to not drive there if at all possible.

Grown folk type of vibe. Great drinks. Great music. Great vibes. Black owned.

I recently went to M Lounge and I've got to say, it was a very good experience. The decor was beautiful, with stylish sconces and a gorgeous chandelier in one of the reserved areas. The seats by the bar were super comfy, and the atmosphere was just right. I had their raspberry lemon drop, and it was so delicious! The music was perfect - it set a relaxed mood without being too loud. Everything was clean, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I'd go back whenever I feel like having a calm night!

Misleading info on website. We experience men with baseball caps, hoodies and too casual clothes. Two men was very high they was obviously too out of it to head their heads up, one of the owners notice this without concern. We Was looking for a place to take our friend from Atlanta, M Lounge wasn't it. Even the sitting was misleading on the website instead of loveseat with tables it was one long seat against the wall with a very small table in front No chairs you talk press against the wall looking from left to right, very bad experience. Oh, yes the drinks was top price...so Disappointed! M Lounge you can represent a minority owned business much better. Or simply change your website to neighborhood bar.

If you haven't been out in a while, you must go to M Lounge. It's a cute intimate spot right outside the hustle of downtown Chicago. The drinks, staff and owner are professional and make sure you have a great time. Ladies, get ready to dance your butt off, lol. Some of the Best Djs come to this place. Always a great time here. Definitely a hidden Jewel in the Nile.

Every time my husband and I go here, it is a good time. I love their martinis. I have yet to find another place like it with the vibe and energy. It is my favorite place in the entire state of Illinois!

Place was nice if you are 40 and up. Seems like a great place for date night. Music choices were outside of my range. Still again nice place.

I was there from the very beginning over 16 years ago … the bar staff were the worst I have ever witnessed … it was horrible .. and I have been a loyal fan for almost two decades … it is a shame that the brand has been left to a few novices who were toddlers when Reggie and his wife started this wonderful establishment … unfortunately … I am NEVER co big back … shame

I love this place. It had a great vibe. I'm a otr truck driver. And I want to go hangout. Derrick one of the bartender showed so love much love. I truly felt at home. Once again thank you I will be back.

A nice chill location, good music, not to loud so easily can have a conversation with someone, nice liquor selection.

If your looking for low key evening.. this is your spot! Dim lighting and usually a dj or good music list playing.

Yay, another pretentious bar in Chicago, IL~!! It's definitely no better or no worse than 3 stars. It's got a pretty deep wine menu with servers who are quite knowledgeable. It's pretentious as hell and not somewhere I would normally hang out. BUT, it's pretty humongous, doesnt feel super packed like a novella (another bar in the area), and overall feels clean and comfy - which are 2 early requirements on the road to pretentious. If this bar was a friend, he's wearing an expensive suit and looks like he's headed to an interview. But you wish he would loosen up his tie and stop bragging about everything like a douche bag. It would be an awesome place if your company rented it out and it was all people you enjoyed drinking with.

We were visiting Chicago for the weekend and decided to Google a nice laid back crowd for people within our age range. This one stood out to me. We read some good reviews online but was a bit skeptical. Well the reviews were accurate. We really enjoyed ourselves. Really chill spot. Nice staff, good music and the drinks were great!

I can't rate the service nor foid since I didn't eat or drink. This past weekend was my bday weekend and I'm from Michigan, therefore I was just checking it out. It's a predominantly Black crowd and it was safe. I love the fact that it's 30 and up too!

Night on the town & came here. What I got was good vibes, good music, great service, great drinks!! The low drink is the Georgia peach & the fresh one is mango pineapple sunset. Both are made with vodka. Location offers non alcoholic cocktails as well.

First thing first the m lounge is not nothing they like the reviews I ordered drink the had more ice then drink in it bar stool very uncomfortable and what is with black club owners in Chicago they all have problems taking credit card this the bartender ask me to venom the to his check credit who does that, and have nerve to charge 20 gravity to ever ticket but service a poor drink more ice then drink and warm dj was bad loud over tone music . Black club owners in Chicago do better please.

Cool spot.. only thing missing is the food. Would be nice if y’all had a small kitchen and create an appetizer menu at least so our dates can feel more comfortable.

The M Lounge is a fantastic example of upscale Chicago socializing. Great conversation with great people and a great owner. If you're in town, do yourself a favor and stop in.

I attended an event here. The place is somewhat small but a nice bar selection. Nice place to hold a private event.

Hidden gem in my book. What a cool place to hang out after work. It's underground and spacious (with no cell phone reception, mind you). You basically charge to your press club card where they track your purchases. I had a glass of pinot noir for $10. Tip is also included when you check out upstairs.

Nice atmosphere. We came in looking for something to eat, but they didn't serve food. However, we stayed for drinks because of the vibe.

Felt really classy. The drinks were expensive, but they were worth it. The atmosphere was clean and proper. Not the best place to party or rage however. It's a very intimate scene.

Had a conference up in Chicago, IL a couple of weeks back and had decided to drop in. Sat down for happy hour and had a couple of beers before I tried some food. Asian male server(can't remember his name) recommended the beef tortellini with roasted beets and a melted butter bone marrow sauce. It was fantastic. Everything blended together superbly. Service was great, food was great and the recommendations for both food and drink were on point. I would recommend this spot to anyone and everyone visiting the city.

Wasn't sure how the night would turn out because the night started slow. But hunnie, when the crowd rolled in and drinks started flowing, I had the most fun I've had in a long time. A bartender was a little rude but the owner, security and vibe made up for it.

The pictures really don't convey just how much space there is here. Nor can they truly capture the class and elegance of this slick modern mecca of the urban elite. The dim lights, hardwood floors, modern DJ mixes create a very chill comfortable lounge effect without sacrificing any of the energy or sense of adventure you may be craving.

30 - 50s crowd; DJ mixes r&b, hip-hop, funk and some pop from the 70s - 00s; the vibe varies, but there's always one 🤷🏽‍♀️; good, strong drinks; clean bathrooms; groups and couples; nice mix of men + women

Small, narrow, boring, and it takes almost 30 minutes to get a drink even when the bar isn’t busy. Bartenders had the worst attitudes and was the reason I didn’t host a company party there. Whoever is managing this place needs to be replaced.
