Nitz and Howe are always great. Fun songs and even the waitstaff chimes in. A great place to take people who are celebrating a special occasion. You will end up with a feather boa around your neck and become part of the act.

Great entertainment and great cocktails. Saturdays are the best party in town. Staff is very nice. They make you feel right at home.

Walked by hundreds of times but first time experience going to a show. A friend’s piano teacher was partaking in a Cabernet and it was great. Intimate setting, good drinks and fantastic music.

Lovely piano bar with delicious libations served by friendly and attentive staff. We came here Linda Kahn's one man off Broadway performance named "Say Yes". Where she performed was a small but very quaint venue which was decorated with hardwoods and darker drapes which I can guess was for sound purposes. The place was sold out but not overly crowded. They had the tables spaced adequately so everyone could still move freely and the staff could still be attentive during the performance. I ordered a delicious Old Fashion and my wife and our friend had Banana Rum cocktails mixed with frangelica and another cream based liquor that was absolutely amazing. The performance was wonderful and I found myself quite emotionally moved during numerous parts of the show. The acoustics of the room were perfect for the piano and bass when accompanied by Linda's beautiful voice. We loved the show and were quite pleased with the manner in which it was presented.

Went to see a friend perform one night. Intimate spot with great staff. A local gem that has a fun Saturday night show not to be missed!

Revising because I originally wrote this review upset. They had a 2 drink minimum and their cocktails tasted awful. The show was cute, but left much to be desired. First time there and I have no plans to go back.

Had such a fun time with my friends here last night. The bartender was really nice and the live music by Julia Merchant was lovely. Very good vibes all around and I’ll definitely be coming back.

Super charming piano bar. The bartender, Megan is amazing and known to sing operatic solos from time to time. They play everything thing from Elton John to Billy Joel to Neil Diamond to show tunes. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a diamond in the rough. It’s just busy enough, not too busy.

Great drinks, friendly staff, and Kieran on the piano was outstanding! I will definitely be back next time I'm in Chicago.

For fans of the Great American Songbook, this place cannot be beat. On Monday nights, George Howe leads a stellar, high energy open mic with a specialty on classic Broadway. On Wednesdays, Beckie Menzie jazzes the place up with accompaniments that are always complex and beautiful. The wait staff is friendly, remembers your drink order from week to week, and are all stellar performers. Davenports also has excellent drink specials. The crowd is supportive and help make Davenports Chicago's premier piano bar.

Impossible to have a conversation without having to scream; totally get that it’s a piano bar but the volume is extremely loud
