Like a walk back into the 40s. I really enjoyed the ambiance and the space. We arrived on a Thursday where there is live music from Tom Music, simple piano and vocals that draw you into hearing the from the artist more and more. Plenty of drink options, shuffle board, photo booth, and a whole space in the backyard. Will come back.

Great low-key ambiance that feels like a break from the hustle and bustle of Logan Square. Slower in pace and service, but always a nice time. Bonus for the Photo Booth and patio!

This bar has a great intimate atmosphere and the cocktails were top notch. Brian the barman is a gentleman and a scholar! I didn't check if they do food so I left that blank :)

This low-key, dimly lit, time-warp turned our night around. It's not a speakeasy but it also isn't what you would expect from the outside of the unassuming, corner bar. Drinks were delicious and service was attentive. Overall; a gas to stumble upon, delicious era-themed drinks and attentive staff.

Old-style bar with an old-style till machine! This place is unpretentious, straight to the point, and lots of fun. Good prices on the menu, which is what I want from your local family bar. They have shuffleboard here! First time trying it and it was awesome. The bartender Chris was awesome. Experienced, professional, and a cool guy all around. If it was a tiny bit closer to me it would be my go-to spot on the weekdays. Easy to become a regular here I'd say!

Came for the old fashion cocktail, and boy it did not disappoint. Classic tasting with muddled cherries and orange. Also had a Manhattan and Wisconsin old fashioned. One of the only bars in Chicago to serve a Wisconsin old-fashioned cocktail. The atmosphere was laid back and had all retro vibes. The bartender was super cool and attentive. Would definitely visit again for drinks.

Full disclosure: I live around the corner from this bar. But before I discovered it (it is not clearly marked on the outside) I traveled some distance for just this kind of place. It is quiet, though it gets busy and crowded on weekends, and everyone who staffs the bar knows a lot about alcohol! I do have to say that some of the bartenders can be snobby about cocktails and the booze that goes into them, but they are usually correct (I just wish they were less snooty!) This is of the best bars in which to pass an evening!

Love this place. Such a great vibe and atmosphere. It feels like you're in a prohibition era speak easy. And the bar tender wears a suit with a bow tie. Very friendly and a great place to go for a few drinks.

I loved this bar. I would go back in a second. Just there for end of night afterparty, but it was much more pleasant than I expected. They were playing 30's jazz and there were no TV's, just people talking and drinks. Tables and comfortable barstools. Cash only bar.

Beautiful small bar with a old music playing. Not enough servers for the amount of people there and one restroom wa shut down rather quickly which resulted in only one to use.

Please don’t tell Lincoln Parkers about this gem. Such a great vibe that transports you to the 1940s. Great whiskey and gin cocktails!

Nice mellow atmosphere. Drinks were incredibly crafted and reasonably priced. Definitely a great chill spot. There's a patio but we didn't go outside. Maybe next time.

Love Weegee's bar, still feels like a hidden gem in Logan. They may great drinks, there's usually only one bartender & it takes time to make cocktail so be patient and be sure to tip.

One of those places in your neighborhood you ask yourself, ‘Why has it taken me so long to come here?’ Weegee’s is perfect. My partner and I dropped in on a weekday for a cocktail and ended up having two rounds on account of how much we enjoyed our first. Our bartender was awesome. I had the Corpse Reviver #2 since I’ve been on a gin kick lately. I gotta say, this might be my nee favorite cocktail within .5 miles of my apartment. That’s dangerous. My partner was sipping on some delicious whiskey cocktails. Their cocktail menu will hit the spot for any variety of drinker. They have beer, too, if I’m not mistaken. For my second round, the very helpful bartender suggested a similar cocktail that used to be on their menu for me since I wanted to mix it up and stick with a similar gin recipe. It was equally well-made yet didn’t excite me like the first cocktail. I love the use of fresh ingredients, premium spirits and thoughtful recipes. It was quiet when we went, which was nice, actually. Don’t change, Weegee’s. I’ll be back soon.

Weegee's is hands down the best bar in South Logan. Atmosphere on point. Photo booth sometimes working. Shuffleboard available at all times. Patio immaculate. Have been going for years. All the bartenders are sweethearts and Alex has the best New Years party in Chicago. Heads up that they are cash only but there is an ATM.
