This bar has a great atmosphere and friendly staff. The manager took a moment to say hello; all the bands who played were excellent; and the outdoor area allows patrons to enjoy the fresh air if they are like me and don't do well in enclosed, loud areas.

One of Chicago's best music venues. Have been going here for 25 years. New owner William Duncan has done a superb job.

Incredible venue with great views of the stage and friendly bartenders. This is a truly special place that I’ve been going to for over 30 years. My favorite local spot to see huge acts in an intimate setting.

The country music brunch on Sunday is a blast, whether you’re a country music fan or not! I was visiting from Los Angeles and came at the suggestion of a friend. I’d definitely return. The food - brisket, vegan burger, shrimp and grits - was excellent. Service was friendly, and prices were reasonable for food and drink. It was an all ages crowd, from seniors to toddlers. We took a Lyft for under $20 pre-tip from the Loop/River North.

Love the atmosphere. Live music 🎶 good food, nice people. A great find right outside the city limits. Outside and Inside venues. Check the schedule for upcoming shows and events.

Oh man. Have you been here? This place. Fitzgerald’s has been around for as long as i can remember , and I can remember back at least 5 years, give or take. Depending on the day. But seriously ladies and germs, this is like maybe the greatest venue ever. There’s always something fun happening. Usually it’s live music that’s happening. Of course there are other things happening too. Micro dramas and macro flirting and great bbq. Maybe that’s just at my table. But I doubt it. Anyway, just great music, like every night, delicious and affordable beverages, a crowd that’s seen a thing or four, and nice staff. Sigh, I dare say I wish you were in Chicago maybe. With the need for drivin’ and the such. Anyway ermergerd, , lurv thurs plurs. Er thernk yer werl toor.

We had our wedding at Fitzgerald's in September after deciding about a month before out wedding date that we should move the party outdoors due to COVID-19 concerns. Miraculously, Fitzgerald's was available on our date and helped us move our entire wedding to this new venue in less than a month. They helped us plan out every detail and accommodated everything that we wanted and envisioned for our wedding day. Michelle was the absolute BEST to work with - we were on such a short and crazy deadline, and she made sure everything was prepped and ready for us to make our wedding day so special. The food was provided through Babygold, and it was DELICIOUS! We had so many compliments from family and friends who just LOVED the food so much. We were able to bring over the live band that we had hired for our previous venue, and the sound quality and experience was so much fun. We loved having the huge patio space with multiple areas for our guests to mingle, eat, and dance. The bar offered all their cocktails on their menu, which many places do not do. We were also able to bring in our own desserts as we had already paid for Do-Rite Donuts to supply donuts. We could not have asked for a more special and wonderful day to celebrate our wedding. We have had so many compliments from guests who just loved the space. Even though this was actually our Plan B wedding, it was far superior to what we had originally planned. I could not have asked for a better wedding venue experience, and I HIGHLY recommend that other couples consider Fitzgerald's as a wedding venue for their special day!

The live music here was a really nice part of the brunch, but we were unfortunately pretty disappointed by the food. The quiche and "side salad" were quite small and cold, and the breakfast po' boy was just alright. It was covered in a weak buffalo sauce, and the side of breakfast potatoes was about a third of a potato-worth and super greasy. We would come back for drinks and music, but I'd stop by somewhere else on the way over for some food.

The performance by Ivan Singh at this venue was nothing short of perfect. The comfort of the space ensured there wasn't a bad seat in the house, allowing everyone to fully immerse themselves in the music. Singh's talent combined with the venue's cozy ambiance created an unforgettable night of soulful Argentinian Blues.

This place is delightful. Love the vibe, love the food, love the people. It's an oasis in an otherwise, slightly anemic area. The music was quite good and the prices were reasonable. Chicago is such a great city that I'm not sure it's worth a trip out to the burbs if you're visiting for the weekend, but it's absolutely worth it if you're close by.

A great little watering hole in Berwyn, IL with an emphasis on live music. I was lucky enough to catch Southern Culture on the Skids and they never disappoint. Fitzgerald's occupies 2 buildings (each with a stage) and a beer garden between buildings. There's also a great BBQ place next door so dinner and a show is a PERFECT night out.

This was our first trip to FitzGerald's since before the pandemic. As our intent was to be there for the music, we made early dinner reservations. The patio was set with pairs of lovely Adirondack chairs, as well as café tables. Our waiter, Curtis, was outstanding. Since we were among the first patrons, he had a bit of extra time, which he used to welcome us and to make some great menu recommendations. As more patrons flocked in, we watched him survey the space regularly to assure everyone had what they wanted. The one thing I'd change was tied to the timing of our order delivery. Our entrée arrived just as we were starting the appetizer, delivered a few minutes before. This is understandable, since we were among the first to order, but a slightly greater gap would be nice. Overall, though, we had a wonderful evening. The option to add a voluntary cover charge (we never felt pressure to contribute) to our tab was especially appreciated. We really look forward to returning soon! It's great to see FitzGerald's doing so well. It's in great hands.

I had a blast at this small live music venue. When I did, Big Lagniappe was playing, and the sound was fantastic. There are several possibilities for inexpensive alcohol. Before or in between performances, individuals can dine and converse at tables. There is a modest dance floor in front of the band where people can also jam. A disadvantage is that food may be brought in but cannot be purchased at the bar. It's a great place to enjoy live music and have a great time.

Woah! I was here for the first time this weekend for a Wedding. What an amazing venue! There are 3 stages, 3 bars, and tons of character! Something unique and cool was around every corner. Definitely give Fitzgerald's a try. You won't be sorry!

Met up w/some friends on the awesome patio last night. Service was very good! Food was even better. We split the pimento Mac & cheese w/bbq cauliflower && homemade pork rinds w/hot sauce. I ordered the Berwyn burger, && sipped the fresh margarita all night. They have live music, very good vibes. Didn’t go inside, now I have more than 1 reason to go back!

Fitzgeralds is just a great place to hear live music. They have several stages that are going most of the time. You can hear all kinds of music from rock and blues to jazz and big band. The staff is the best. Isaac the bartender is a treasure. Will, the owner, has done a great job of growing and updating the facility. You. Have. To. Come. See. Fitzgeralds!

Best music local venue compromising the entire region of greater Chicago. Atmospheric, less crowded than Chicago, clean and easy to get to. Plus a barrage of great artists from local to international acts and everything in between

I had a wonderful time at Fitzgerald’s. I ate well. The bartender made me a killer hot toddy and I purchased a couple vinyl records from the pop up shop. Nice time, all around.

Atmosphere, nonpareil. Expert bartenders with a dizzying array of classic cocktails. Great BBQ from BabyGold. And always a great music lineup. Gotta love this grand dame of Chicago clubs.

Although a little pricey the food and drinks were really good, especially their dirty/canjun rice was amazing and their wings are also very good. The two bands that played Spanish rock were a little disappointing the Facebook add said cover bands would play Latin-American rock but both bands only played Mexican rock, which I guess it's fine if the only Spanish rock songs you know are from Mexican rock bands. Besides that I liked the tables like bars they have for couples that's very original and I had never seen that before.

The music is typically good, but I have seen some bad acts. I guess that is what you get for free. Their ticketed acts have all been great. ** The food is barely okay. I'd stay away from anything pork. It tastes old and slimy. The burger is good. The pretzel is good. The beef BBQ is okay. ** The drinks are awful. I tried 3 different drinks and they were just plain bad. Stick to beer. ** There is a young black woman (Sierra?) that is so sweet and nice. The rest of the staff walks around like they hate being there. I smile at them, I say hi, and they just walk by with a scowl on their mugs. ** The bartender at the Sidebar is nice. ** The men who greet you at the entrance really need to get a personality. ** They need John Taffer.

Had a terrific time at this intimate live music venue. Big Lagniappe was playing when I did so, and the sound quality was excellent. There are a lot of affordable booze options available. There are tables where people can eat and talk before or between performances. Right in front of the band, there is a tiny dance floor where people can also jam. The fact that food cannot be purchased at the bar but may be brought in is a drawback. This location is great for enjoying live music and having a wonderful time.

An awesome time! We had dinner and drinks on the patio while we listened to the band. The BBQ was delicious. The margaritas were good, but the pitcher was not worth the high $54 price tag.

This place is gold! The owner was here while we visited, he’s such a cool guy. You can tell he is a music lover and very personable- spoke to some of the employees, they love working here! Great music, really good BBQ. We brought the kids for a Saturday lunch and music, had a blast. Highly recommend!

A wonderful place to play as an artist. A great place to meet for drinks with friends. The staff is really cool. They survived the pandemic so go support them and the acts that perform there.

Band was okay but only played until 11 exactly. The inside was untouched, I expected it to be updated as part of renovations. Nothing has been done to interior. That was why I thought they kept everyone outside but do not see improvements. Loved Capri its closed. Have a bbq place instead. Food has a lot of garlic, not of same quality. All very disappointing.

We were actually for a celebration of life for a dear friend who passed away too soon. The facilities were nice, the staff was amazing. The place is usually closed on Monday's, they opened up for this special event. The patio is large and the tables are spaced adequately. I will visit again on a happier occasion.

They have enough staff to provide you an attentive service during Covid time. Food came out fast and it tasted good. The patio is spacious enough to keep your social distance. Live music was a plus and fun.

  • 1/5 Gretchen W. 2 years ago on Google
One of the worst experiences I have had since Covid began. There was a vaccine requirement to enter. Even so, the manager was going table to table. We were schooled on the amount of time we took to take a drink, apparently, you can pull your mask down for only one second, take a quick drink, then pull it up. We were told we had to leave because we didn't pull our mask up fast enough. There were many patrons who were very upset by this and many, including our party left before the concert ended. I felt like the school yard bully was in charge. Take a hard pass on this venue.
